Heavenly Desserts York in York

We got to change to the seat that we preferred. Our waiter (Duy?) was very friendly. Felt a little rushed despite the restaurant being empty. Desserts are very highly priced but great quality.

Have visited a few times when visiting York. Tried to order via the website and showed items sold out but the friendly staff assured us they were not so we ordered with them. Really enjoyed our choices : Spec Apple Crumble, 2 different sundaes and the Belgian bun with ice cream.

Joshua was very funny and made us all feel welcome on our last day in York with our friends service was great would 100% recommend the monkey bread

Joshua gave us very lovely service. He was very friendly, approachable and was really understanding about how long we spent just looking at the menu. He even made a few jokes with us which was really nice. I find it lovely that we were able to converse like friends, rather than customer/waiter. I will definitely come again, not just for the absolutely delicious food (the waffle I just had was life changing), but also for the warm and welcoming service. Joshua is definitely somebody to look out for with whatever you need. Will definitely come again! 👍😌

Me and my friend where looking forwards to some amazing deserts as this is their specialty. Whilst they where not unpleasant they where for us a bit average for the prices. And you can tell that some of it is pre prepped and not freshly made. In particular for us was the crepes ( which in my opinion are pancakes, crepes are quite thin as I make these myself at home) these where my fried who had them on the rubbery side. I have had a lot better deserts in nice restaurants for the prices charged here. Staff where friendly enough, but we where a bit confused when staff members brought a pallet of broken tiles past us as though last minute building works where going on..... As a joiner and builder as a job this was far from heavenly for me, and not what I expected to see in a restaurant. Needless to say we will not be going in this chain again.

Great food as always, we always make a trip here when we come to York. Luiza was very friendly and the service was quick and with a smile.

From the moment we entered Heavenly Desserts Nisa was bright, friendly and accommodating. We were well looked after throughout our visit. Food was well prepared and the ambience was lovely.

My girlfriend and I had an amazing experience at Heavenly Desserts in York! The desserts were absolutely delicious, but the highlight of our visit was the fantastic service from Imogen. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed for a perfect evening. It’s rare to find such great service, and it truly made our visit special.

Foods okay just small portions and really expensive if you don't mind spending alot it's a okay place

The staff (well the lady all alone!) was lovely. Really good with my kid, aka little repunzel. Toilets let it down a tad and they are clearly understaffed. Macaron were slightly dense, but the rose flavour was amazing. Perfectly recommended.

the wrong thing was delivered and nothing was done about it. rang the shop and they hung up when they said it had nothing to do with them. couldn’t get in touch with the driver

Got our order wrong to the point neither of us enjoyed the food. Service was so slow, it took half an hour to be served and the restaurant wasn’t even that busy. The most appalling thing of all was the hour wait for the bill, after speaking to the waiter about it and making eye contact with him many times too, we decided to just go up to the desk and wait for someone to come to the till to pay. While today’s experience was nothing to rave about, I have been on other occasions when it has been a much more positive experience so perhaps today was an off day, we all have them.

First time visiting and will definitely be back! The salted caramel sauce is insane 😍 We were served by Nisa and honestly haven’t had a service like it in so long. She was so lovely, polite and friendly!

We stopped for a coffee and snacks on a wet day and Nisa was very welcoming and friendly. My sourdough bread with poached egg was delicious, as were my friends' meals. It was empty and a bit bare when we arrived, but it soon filled and felt cosier. The coffee was great, served in lovely glasses and we soon warmed up.

Amazing selection of desserts and good brunch options too. Nice relaxing atmosphere to escape from the bustling streets. Friendly service by Nisa. Thank you!

Busy night but still served quick and great food!

Was watching the tracking and the guy drove from the restaurant to another property away from mine cause I watched it and then to my property. 21.02 was my time slot when he picked it up and by the time it arrived to me it went up to 21.10. Ruined!

We came here for some birthday dessert for myself and were greeted by a stressed, understaffed environment. There was only one server on staff that night - and whilst he did a good job for his situation, it was clear that the restaurant is very poorly managed at this time. The last time I came here with my father the service was quick and everyone was very happy and relaxed. Compared to now, where I can see the kitchen staff running food and drinks, as the poor server is doing so much that he quite simply does not have time. The experience has put a damper on my birthday, in all honesty, and I wouldn't recommend this place until management gets their act together and fixes whatever problems they are having.

First time eating here (but have seen their desserts on Deliveroo and been tempted for a while), lovely decor and plenty of tables. We arrived and seemed to be the only people there at first, which was fine, better than feeling crowded, Nisa was lovely and welcoming, and gave us the pick of anywhere we wanted to sit. I was given a thorough allergen guide, as I needed gluten free, to check against the menu and Nisa gave me a run down of all my options saying they can easily build plate to avoid anything with gluten too. I chose the American waffle with toppings as I love when places cater for gluten free on dishes you wouldn’t normally find gluten free… this was so delicious! My fiancé had a “croffle” dish as a mix between a croissant and a waffle sounded very his sort of thing. Overall it was lovely food, good prices for the size of the dishes, pretty decor, very clean and tidy and Nisa was very helpful and friendly as our server. We will come again!

Ahmed was great. His personality is what I’d come back for. A true credit to the company. My girlfriend and I popped in for something quick on Saturday night and he absolutely my our night.

What a lovely warm welcome staff we're working very hard on Saturday when we sat and had a lovely coffee and late lunch. Nothing was any trouble for the staff. Waiting at the door watching the one waiter available clear tables while telling us ‘two minutes’. It wasn’t busy, there were loads of tables free he could have just told us to sit down and he’ll be over Nevermind. The table we sat at was dirty, spoons that needed a wash were still at the table. He took our order, the food came quickly and it was lovely but he kept running, yes running, past the table. Again, it really wasn’t that busy certainly not enough to warrant running past tables to the kitchen over and over again. It was really off putting and we didn’t enjoy the food because of it. He then came over twice to ask if we wanted the bill, we didn’t. But decided to go anyway as we felt very rushed. Won’t go back.

Great desserts and people. Loved the dark chocolate cookie with pistachio! To add, Nisa has also been very nice and accommodating to us.

This was my first visit, and it’ll definitely be my last. After being seated, we waited 20 minutes before anyone even came to take our orders. When they finally did, only two out of the six drinks we ordered were brought to the table, and then we were forgotten until we asked for the rest. We sat there, waiting, for another 45 minutes. The service was extremely slow. There was only one young server managing everything, and unfortunately, he wasn’t doing it well. Some of our group had to leave early, so they paid their share of the bill, while the rest of us ordered a few more items. Thirty minutes went by with no sign of our order. When it finally arrived, we immediately asked for the bill, hoping to avoid more delays, but again, we ended up waiting far too long. Eventually, we had to get up and search for someone just to pay and leave. What made it even more frustrating was that the place wasn’t particularly busy, yet there was no apology for the long waits. This was especially tough with a young child in our group who was thirsty and hungry. They also left one side of the table covered in empty plates and bowels, never once coming to clean the table areas. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, and I won’t be returning.

Imogen was an absolute star! Amazing service. The location was busy and looked understaffed, but Imogen was amazing. Polite and friendly and extremely professional. 10/10, turned a potentially unpleasant visit into one I'm eager to repeat!

Poached eggs would be nice if they were runny and the coffee bean you use tastes awful I’ve got to say :) toilet could do with a clean. Imogen was lovely and very polite though so score is kept higher because of her.

Staff -specifically Joshua were very friendly in a very busy moment in the cafe, and the drinks we had were very nice. Unfortunately the food was a bit cold when it came to our table but it still tasted good (the croffles and Hashbrowns were very tasty)

Extremely overpriced, food is tasty but nothing special anymore. We used to love it here and get takeout a lot but it’s really gone downhill. Ate in the restaurant recently and was waiting for 10 mins for them to clear a table for us. When we were seated no one brought menus so after 15 mins I went and just grabbed some. Over 40 min wait on the food then for half to arrive cold with melted ice cream (obviously been ready a while). Our drinks were missed off too. Unfortunately a very bad service all round and we won’t be back as it’s just too expensive for disappointment.

Went here for my boyfriend’s birthday and the service straight away from Joshua was amazing, so polite and the biggest smile on his face. Even surprised my partner singing happy birthday and an extra dessert! Will definitely return, just lovely time here❤️

We stood at the wait to be seated sign for five minutes before giving up and finding a table. I wish we’d walked out - after downloading the app because no one brought menus we managed to get two inedible macarons and a French toast pudding. Macarons were bone dry, drowned in sickly white chocolate and had a filling which tasted of nothing but sugar. The French toast was swimming in some sugary liquid. If you order tea you get a teabag in a small mug so by the time the staff stop chatting to each other and deliver your order you have stewed tea. Worst macarons I have ever had. Looking round us there were lots of other plates with barely touched food. One to avoid.

Visited here on 24th September. Our last trip into York and this place was on my list of restaurants to visit. Amazing menu 😋 if you have a sweet tooth you won't regret it. Staff friendly and service great. Menu is fantastic so much choice it's unbelievable. Highly recommended as treat , this place would be fabulous for a hendo. Such a beautiful decorated interior. Many thanks to the staff. X

We went here for an after meal desert one evening. The deserts themselves were alright, the menu is pretty vast,I had the brownie explosion. It took us a long time to get seated and served as there was only one waitress serving the entire place she did a great job but felt sorry for her that she was working the whole floor. Overall for the price and experience I wouldn’t go back.

Lovely service, however the food is bad - we got the dessert tapas, the bao buns were obviously microwaved and completely wet and cold, the sauce for them had also separated with a watery liquid on top and the sauce underneath, the other dishes were fine but nothing special I would not recommend coming here, bad value for money

We sometimes eat in a restaurant and then have dessert in another restaurant or ice cream parlor. But this is genius, a restaurant especially for desserts. Lots of choice from all kinds of great desserts, the only disadvantage is the amount you have to choose from. Definitely worth a visit.

Absolutely divine. Beautifully decorated, very peaceful. Lovely, informative and helpful staff. The drinks were incredible - perhaps a little too sweet but so well flavoured. The food was divine. Extraordinary. So simple but so well flavoured the bagel was fresh and soft and seasoned. The spicy beans were the best I've ever had. Where has this place been all my life?

The food was lovely but I paid £3.50 for a can of Pepsi and £3.50 for a can of Fanta, £7 for 2 cans of pop is ridiculous

The food itself was really tasty, lots of flavour and sauce. However, the cookie dough looked completely different from the picture. It was not in a rectangular box and was instead a flattened cookie shape. This meant that it got stuck to the grease proof paper and you got a lot less in comparison. Previously, they have used these boxes (as pictured) but not anymore. Bit disappointing as they cost 10.95 each…
