Heidi's in Havant

As I was passing through Emsworth, I just had to pop in to Heidi's for some of their delicious cheese straws as my family firmly believed that they're the best. The trouble is, the chocolate éclairs also looked delicious and were begging me to buy some. In my opinion, Heidi's Chocolate Éclairs are the 'real thing' and are much better the supermarket variety. I left the shop with a little more than I intended, but my purchases were worth it. So delicious.... Until the next time...

OMG!!! I cannot believe I’ve just realised about Heidi’s. Resisted the cakes but by golly are the pies good. It all looks good actually! Cheerful service too.

The food here is reasonably priced, delicious and hot (where applicable) We bought several items - both savoury and sweet and everything tasted fantastic. We took our food to the promenade and found a spot to sit and take in the view while we ate, and the meat pasty was still hot enough that we needed to be cautious as we ate it. The coffee was reasonably good. Nothing amazing but hits the spot. The only down-sides: one of our friends who is vegan had to head elsewhere for lunch as when we asked we were informed that there were no vegan options. Also at lunch time this place seems to be quite busy, but the staff are efficient enough that the queue moves pretty quickly. All in all, a great experience

Very friendly, clean, local store. VERY acceptable hot meat pasty and espresso.

Loved it spent my lunch as it was raining it was a great experience we will do again.

Have used shops on hayling before closure,but I now use emsworth.Brill pasties,always good if a little expensive,but as a treat I also bought two so called APPLE turnovers never again the apple addition operative was not at his post,very very disappointed possibly half a very small teaspoon of filling.Please sort it out

Great fresh baked breads and pastries. Wonderfully friendly service. Love the warm cheese straws on a chilly morning and the vanilla slice on a warm afternoon.

Had a vegetable pastie also a large piece of bread pudding. Both were delicious also good coffee. Friendly helpful staff.

OMG, at last I've found a Bakery that knows how to make good traditional white crusty bread rolls, I purchased plain rolls to take home and they were superb, I will be back soon

It's Heidi's so can I say. If you fancy a lovely delicious cake or pastry then this is the place to go. Value for money for naughtiness sugar delights

What a disappointment! Went on their website link to see prices and menu and thought it was great value. Went to have the cheese scones and coffee special and was met with a completely different place. No café at all anymore, apparently not for 18 months! The cheese scones on the counter looked anemic compared to the ones they used to be famous for. So we went elsewhere. Heidi's please update your Google!

As of 22nd January 2024, Heidi's is closed for at least a week, due to flooding affecting the flooring.

Like Heidi's, but changed loads. No longer a local café, simply just a bakery and shop with tiny eating in area. Preferred it as it was, despite it's eccentric service and often missing custards tarts! Good range of food and treats and bread and pastries. Lost something of it's character and charm but still selling good food.

The fresh bread- loaves and cob/round sourdough are superb. The desserts, cream/custard slices, tarts, Chelsea buns, eclairs and choux pastries are just incredible, I always order way more than any human should, but it's rare to find a decent bakery with such a varied selection. The staff are super friendly and the service is quick. 10/10

I bought a cake at Heidi’s in Emsworth. In the middle of serving me the woman walked off and served someone else. Then came back and said ‘have you made up your mind yet?’ She would be more suited to a Romanian Lidl than an upmarket bakery!!

Great food, huge portions and low prices

Lovely bakery with the best Belgium buns ever🙂 very popular with a wide selection of cakes, bakes and bread. It's a pity the shops on Hayling Island have closed so we can't enjoy their bakes quite as much. But when in Emsworth a visit is recommended 👍

Bought a sausage roll. It was delicious. Service was great.

Walking group were in Emsworth on Tuesday..decided we would have some nice sausage rolls and cakes. We were not disappointed :) We will be back ...

Really really nice baked goods! It's a little expensive overall but nothing not to be expected from a high end bakery. Great for a quick bite to eat or to take stuff home for later.

Lovely bakery, really good cheese scones as well as a fantastic offering of bread and cake products!!!

Rude unhelpful person answered the phone this morning no wonder the business is contractingredients.

All spanking new, but pleased to say the bread cakes etc, all as good as it was, and all the staff new to this branch and older ones still as friendly and helpful.

Only place for iced apple donuts, shame they closed the cowplain shop.

The new set up is new and very shiny,but we prefer the old set up.The friendly ladies there we got to know.Prices have gone up,£6.40 for 2 flat whites!!! We've been coming for years,sorry Heidie it's Costa in future for us.

Fantastic bakery, been going there for over 20 years now, and it always has that family friendly, nans just baked vibe. Great seasonal baked goods, great cakes and welcoming friendly staff.

Lovely cakes, sausage rolls and pies! Some of the cakes are huge are are definitely a two person job. I really like this place, I stop by from time to time to get the cakes in for the work colleagues. Keep up the good work.

Nice food but rip off for the price of it a tiny roll and a donut for nearly £10 absolutely rip off and 2 bites the roll was gone definitely need to upgrade there game

Coffee was nice Food here is generally nice and have a choice of hot or cold. Staff have always been polite and helpful. Some of the pastery food has been greasy however that has only happened a few times.

Didn't like the coffee, only a very small cup ,Chelsea bun was good

Simply the best, biggest Belgian buns and bread. Pleeeese don’t close this branch.

We were visiting from Canada and the pasties, jam doughnut and fresh sandwiches were really really good for our picnic lunch. Reminded both my husband and I of our childhoods in England. Clean fresh polite service too.

Was very unimpressed with my experience. Its were not priced because "we are always changing them". Once id paid i asked my companion's if we should eat in and was told thats its extra to eat in even though its not sugn posted its extra. But to top it off it was £1 extra per item! Food was also bland. Will not visit again.

Wow, the biggest chocolate eclair I've ever had

Not as good as it was with waitress service. Dont like queuing in the shop and the much restricted food options. Lost a lot of the bustle and friendliness in the cafe. Only use it infrequently now.

Proper old school bakers lovely handmade sausage rolls, and an amazing selection of cakes and buns, be warned though you will end up spending loads as there so much good stuff on offer, lovely staff aswel

How can anywhere serve an egg like that? Two eggs on the plate, the egg on the right is what I was originally served. I removed it from my plate. The one on the left was it’s replacement after I complained. It’s hit and miss whether I get a bad egg here or not, fed up with it hence why I’ve reviewed and I shan’t return. The rest of the breakfast was fine, and well-priced. I really want to like this place, but service could really be improved, too. There shouldn't be members of staff standing round in the kitchen while customers are waiting to be served. And one particular young man needs to be prompted about personal hygiene. Very bad body odour isn’t appealing while enjoying a fondant fancy.

We enjoy going here. Local baker selling delicious bread and cakes, savoury pastries and filled rolls. And a cafe at the back where you can have a hot drink to go with your cake treat!

You to be a prestigious chain in Hampshire the visit to the one in Emsworth was OK but nothing special

Not the best by a long shot on the coffee. Cakes were good. Ambiance felt tired. Won't go again given the alternatives available.

So spoiled for choice!! Delicious cakes and the pies are scrumptious.. kids loved the cakes ...will definitely visit again ☺

Always high standards my favourite place in Emsworth.

The food has really gone down in this place now.we have been coming to Heidis regular but we won't anymore now.the whole family of us all agreed the sausage rolls have got bad the meat in the sausage tastes more like a paste put together now.And the sandwiches are very expensive considering there's not much fillings inside.im afraid to say are family and friends said we won't be returning to Heidis anymore now.its such a shame as this usto be such a great place to eat.

Great bakery. Large choice of bread, cakes and pastries. Excellent place to buy a snack or two and sit on the harbour walls.

Welcoming.covid safe.sorted quickly a minor mistake

Had a pork with Apple and pear chutney sandwich. 1 very thin slice of pork, a leaf of limp salad , reasonable amount of chutney, served in between 2 slices of nice but very thinly sliced bread. £3.70. Had more filling in a Tesco sandwich for half the money.

Very rude staff who need to work on their interpersonal skills

Very crowded and therefore seating is a problem. Staff are friendly and welcoming, prices are between average and above average. Very popular with locals and shoppers...reasonable waiting times for your orders. It is quite incredible, that in 2017 there are still establishments like this, that do not offer WiFi...in the city of Burgas, Bulgaria...99.5% of EVERY cafe, coffee shop and bakery with seating, offer it for free. UPDATE: Stopped in here and bought their own brand, steak and kidney pie. This was WITHOUT DOUBT the greatest pie I'd ever tasted. It was full to the crust with lumps of tender beef and succulent kidneys, in a rich (if slightly salty) gravy and topped with a crisp, tasty crust. This knocks anything you've ever tasted in this style of pie, into a distant second. 5* adjusted.

As always a great experience from my local patisserie! Popped in for a hot drink as a shelter from the strong wind, had a perfeftly sized hot chocolate and one of the nicest shortbread slices I've had in a long time! And lovely staff on hand as always, can't recommend enough!

Pleasant place. Nice muffins and scones. I had a cheese scone which was warmed, unfortunately I think too long in the microwave changed the texture but next time I'll eat cold. Recommended. Nice service

Really yummy cakes, excellent service. I was served by an extremely attentive and polite young lady who was brilliant with my little boy. I can't go near Emsworth without him dragging me in! Not that I need much persuasion...
