I literally come here every visit to see my mum, the rum and raisin ice cream is incredible! Whilst yes you probably do pay a little more it is so worth it! ❤️

after an afternoon of drinking for my birthday, we were on our way to the Harbour Arms where we stumbled across Herberts. My step sister came the week prior and raved about the Gypsy Tart ice cream, and my god was she right!!! The best ice cream I have ever tasted, so yummy we bought a box of it! We still talk about it now, whenever we are in the area we pop over for more - beautiful lovely staff and gorgeous food will forever be a fan favourite x

Best Ice Cream around good location on the Old Fish Market and sit outside over looking the Harbour. Hope you win the fight against the proposed loading bay outside , Cannot believe that they want to put it right outside you.

Small place just on the harbour. We had the gypsy tart ice-cream. Wow!!! The texture was so creamy and the flavour delicious. The lady was really friendly. Pity we're just here for a short break otherwise we'd be taking a big tub home

Amazing! Probably, the best ice cream I’ve tasted. The Kent Gypsy Tart ice cream was out of this world. We returned, the following days, with sky high expectations, and were equally blown away.

This woman makes the most glorious , home made ice cream I have tasted for a long, long, long time. This is not the normal High end ice cream which actually comes from Italian mixes . This is real homemade and utterly delicious. I am an ice cream maker and trained cook.. I love ice cream and this is fabulous. Try any flavor but do try the Gypsy Tart. Too delicious for words. # The lady is local and is part of this wonderful community. I do not know her but her ice cream speaks for itself. Real Food by someone who knows what they are doing . All respect to her great product. I will go back to Folkestone for more of it.

Such lovely food yet the service let you down. The lamb was cooked well and fell apart. Naan bread thin, crispy and tasty. Great flavours all round, Sadly we seemed to have been overlooked during our dining. We were offered one drink in the 1 hour and 45 minutes we sat in the restaurant. We also didn’t receive the chef’s complimentary amuse bouches, despite seeing other tables having them. We weren’t offered dessert or coffees either. Upon payment of the bill we did mention the service to the waiter, he said they were understaffed. Such a shame!

Lovely quirky bar with friendly hosts and a good selection of drinks. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the local area.

We booked a Sunday lunch here for 5. We were greeted in a professional and warm manner. Nothing was too much trouble. We had the window seating which was perfect for watching the world go by on a cold December day. The Sunday iunch offered beef, pork, lamb or chicken. We chose a mixture of beef and pork, both cooked the way they should be. There was a full range of fresh vegetables. The roast potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy within, the Yorkshire pudding deserved a plate of its own! One of our party had eaten here previously so was able to recommend a lovely red wine from Chile. Will return for sure. Highly recommended.
