Went for my sister's birthday. There was 11 of us (9 adults 2 children) and we had 4 large pizzas to share which was the perfect amount of food. The prices are fantastic for what you got. Would definitely recommend going again

Loved the place! We decided to visit Hideaway since we've seen in on YouTube, noticed it's very close and serving one of the best foods - pizza. We ordered 50/50 pizza from signature menu. Both sides tasted exactly as we would like them to, dough was great - maybe missing some salt but that's personal preference on the dough definitely this didn't make the pizza taste worse. We've finished our dinner with some desserts - they were okay but if someone's a real sweet tooth like myself maybe try dough balls, it could be the hit. We will definitely come back whenever we feel like having a pizza :)

Bundle for 2 is great value. Hoisin duck loaded fries delicious. Great you can do half and half pizza. Pizzas were amazing. Staff very efficient in a busy restaurant.

Service was only knocked due to the long wait for food and we weren't told. Can't fault the place otherwise is a lovely atmosphere and great tasting food.

Second time eating here and much improved from the first time. TV now moved to the back of the premises for those who just want a drink and watch the sport. Good, friendly service with our food arriving quite quickly. One pizza between us with a side of duck fries and two dips. Didn't finish it all. 5*.

Was down from scotland staying close by and decided to try Hideaway. Did not notice their pizzas are 18" online but when i got there i went for it anyway with sides. Food was all really good, took plenty of pizza away with me for the next day. Staff were all really friendly.

Hideaway Pizza is a gem! The fantastic drinks, outstanding food, and very chilled vibe make it a must-visit spot. I had a wonderful experience here - the beer selection was top-notch, the food was delicious, and the ambiance was so relaxing. The staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the overall great experience. I highly recommend Hideaway Pizza for a great day or night out. Can't wait to go back, even though I'm here 4 times a week for the £5 lunch deal!

We've just been as a family for a meal celebrating our anniversary and can't fault this place at all, the décor is funky and the food is absolutely amazing, we had a half and half pizza which was Texas cheesesaw massacre and meatpacker and the toppings were so rich and flavourful they were moreish, we had the lasagne bites and they were so tasty, the parmesan and garlic fries are to die for, I'm not a chip person but I could have eaten them all night. Our teenager almost drank the garlic sauce he liked it that much. It was definitely worth the trip out from Hartlepool. Very reasonably priced too.

We called late Saturday afternoon and although the restaurant was very busy the lovely staff managed to fit us in. The food was excellent and the service was exceptional what a credit the young man and young lady working are to you. We would definitely recommend and return in future.

Unreal!!!!! Pizzas are huge so really good value for money. Could easily share a full pizza between 4-5 people. Really good service too so big thanks to all the staff at hideaway 😄

Ate here last Friday night with my son for our regular night out. It was our first visit to this place and we were both very impressed with the food, drink, service and atmosphere. Very fairly priced too, we both look forward to returning

I visited here with friends a few months back when there was an offer of two pizzas and 4 sides for a set price. I think the restaurant have changed their menu slightly since but when I visited the food was amazing! The sides were especially good! We had loaded fries with duck and lasagne bites. The portions were extremely generous. I will definitely be paying a visit again !

I chose to hold my work Xmas party here (around 80 staff) and I’m so glad I did. Tom & Leah are a lovely down to earth couple with mature heads on young shoulders. they and their small, young team were so attentive to details the party was a big success. All through the planning stage nothing was ever too much trouble, I knew they wanted our event to be a success. Hideaway is still a new business and you can tell they want it to be a success despite the current climate with prices for everything these days. Their food is fresh and delicious, and since I first visited a year ago I still believe they do the best pizza in town (they are priced to share as they are huge!) Their cocktails are gorgeous and well made. If you’ve walked past Hideaway on Duke Street so far, next time go in and try them, you will be served with a smile in an environment and with food and drinks they care about - I’ve learned this in the discussions I had in planning the party. Thank you Tom and the team for a great time and bearing with me!!

I went on a fairly quiet Tuesday night.. The restaurant had a number of tables in, but we got seated, no problem. The menu is good and has a number of options. The bar sells a wide range of beers, no local beer, which i think is shame. We opted for a bundle. We got a huge pizza, two sides, and dips for around £30. Which considering how much we got, i considered this good value for money. Service was good, staff were nice and chatty. I would like to mention here that somehow, they forgot to give us plates but we simply used napkins, it was not a problem. The staff realised the issue, gave us plates and a free drink..so thank you for that. I will no doubt be back.. Thank you.

Got a table easy for 4 people on a Saturday afternoon and decided to attempt the 18’’ pizza for £21 as part of restaurant week. Paired it with a beer and some dips. Pizza was delicious but I had eaten breakfast so was unable to finish the final slice 😅 Would definitely recommend for others

I’ve visited The Hideaway a few times now and collected a pizza or two. Pizza is always beyond expectations and I can see this place becoming the name for Pizza in Darlington. The do more than just pizza though ! Mac and cheese, dirty fries and more. The base is the best I’ve ever had and I could honestly just eat a portion of crust with a dip or five !! Definitely the best pizza in Darlington for me but don’t take my word for it, get yourself down there and try for yourself.

Went to Hideaway Bar & Pizzeria - Darlington yesterday and between the six of us we enjoyed a HUGE chicken Caesar pizza, any mac & cheese, three sides and four dips for £40 (offer in August) and it was two bottles of Old Mout for £7. Winner, winner. Great place 🍕 And Isobel was lovely 👏🏻

I took my 3 kids- 23,19 and 8 for lunch today, what amazing value!! The £4 offer for a slice and fries is incredible value. The pizzas were delicious and service excellent- we will be back!!!

A pizza restaurant that has no pepperoni on a Saturday at 2 30pm?? Surely not that difficult to nip somewhere local and buy a load to prevent customers being disappointed if a delivery hadn't turned up? No sliders available either. Margherita should have the colours of the Italian flag visible, red sauce base, white melted mozzarella and fresh green basil, not a beige coloured carpet of cheese. Young staff trying hard, really attentive but let down by insufficient stock to provide a full menu. Meatpacker pizza superb however, and fries with hoisin, duck and spring onion also nice and tasty.

Lovely food, massive portions friendly happy and polite staff, really enjoyed it and also took our baby which was fine!

Great place to get a simple lunch and a drink. A slice of pizza, a side and a pint (Or two), what more can you ask for?

Absolute worst customer service I have ever received while eating out!! Took our 4 children out for a treat, wasn't even worth the hassle, we had to get up and ask for plates, then had to ask for knifes and forks, then had to ask for salt, after about 5/10 minutes of waiting for our sons pizza we got up again to see where it was and they had forgotten it completely so then had to try share out everyone's food between us. Never once asked us if everything was ok with the food or if we needed anything 🤦🏼‍♀️ kids really liked the food but don't think we could go again after that service!

Very reasonably priced if you go in happy hour, pizza was very tasty but the chicken Parmo bites were simply delicious. Would recommend

This place is fantastic They have kept it basic, and that's its charm, I think. In so many other towns and cities, you could get just a simple slice of pizza but not Darlington until now. It's absolutely brilliant. Love love love it

Drinks were reasonably priced, we had a selection of pizza and almost every side. Everything was cooked beautifully and we enjoyed it thoroughly. We will certainly be returning

We've visited Hideaway twice in the last week for their lunchtime deal of a slice and tin of pop for £4 and thoroughly enjoyed both times. Staff are incredibly warm and welcoming offering high chairs for our two children straight away. One of our little boys loves to be on the move and it was no problem at all when he was inspecting up and down the bar, staff chatted to him, held his hand and kept him busy while we ate at the table. The restaurant is a great addition to the town centre and with great deals on. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

Good food, drinks were a bit meh as coke came from a 2ltr bottle. The fries are big but I had fries and a slice of pizza and was just nicely full

New restaurant that used to be salvos. Beautiful food. Pizza dough was clearly freshly made. The chicken on the tandoori pizza was moist and tasted fresh with lovely flavour and seasoning. The tomato puree base was clearly homemade with a lovely undertone of basil. Contemporary and modern. Very reasonably priced and believe me an 18 inch pizza is MORE THAN ENOUGH for 2 people! We were stuffed after 2 slices! Nice atmosphere. Great food, great service. Would definetly recommend. Have booked our Xmas do meal out here already!!
