HISAR [meaning fortress in Turkish...] A ten minute walk for us. I'd been here before but only the once, was great but I didn't bother to review. Tonight we went for a really good mixed grill, hot off the coals for under £20 and my partner had the lamb shank, similarly priced... It was fantastic and great value. We were served by smiley and attentive waiting staff. Delightful place, very pleased with it and my GF and I have decided tonight that we will be back more often in 2025. See you soon!

Have had dinner here a few times with my family, service is always exceptional, very friendly and attentive staff. I don't know what they do to the chicken to make it so tender and delicious but highly recommend.

I was really looking forward to trying the lamb shank, which was the main reason I visited, but unfortunately, they were out of it. Despite that small disappointment, everything else was spot on. The food was delicious and the service was warm and attentive. I’ll definitely be back to try the lamb shank next time!

food was amazing, went for a dinner with my cousin we went for a three course meal and honestly cannot complain, the staff were all very friendly and very nice and even gave us a drink on the house which we really appreciated, i will defo be back , cocktails were amazing, we really enjoyed our time here, thank you to all the staff!!!

The food is good although like all meze restaurants the portions are small as you are expected to order several plates. I also thought that their prices were steep for what is just a small high street eatery.

The atmosphere is lovely and relaxed, the food is really good, the amount on your plate, unfortunately, has shrunk a little, which is a shame

Went for lunch and had borek for starter and Adana for main, both were very nice, the main meal was quite small however it was part of a lunch deal.

When we went there was live music playing which was great. The young lady serving us was good, entertaining, and funny. See you again soon

What a lovely atmosphere, I came here with a friend and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The staff were attentive, friendly and in good spirits. We ordered a 3-course meal and a couple of drinks. The Saksuka was incredible, the Swordfish was a little overcooked and the desserts were amazing, I didn't want them to finish.

First visit. The service was excellent. Food tasty and we just lingered after eating. Chatting. It was truly lovely.

This is a great Turkish restaurant. We have had the lambs ribs and lamb chops several times and it very tasty and a good price point for take away or eat in. Very tasty expresso as well.

Was here on Saturday 11 of May 2024 for my partners birthday. 1 of our favourite restaurants in west wickham. Great friendly happy staff as always happy to see you and make you feel very welcome. Great food couldn't fault it 10 out 10 to the chef and all the staff that was working that night. Always a pleasure 🙏 with good value for money

We visited Hisar early on a Thursday evening following a recommendation and we had a lovely evening. The food is excellent and the staff are friendly and helpful. My daughter enjoyed the children's menu, especially the ice cream in a toy she could take home. I had the mixed grill and every piece of meat was cooked perfectly

Highly recommend. This was the first time my wife and I have visited this restaurant and we are already looking forward to going back. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left the service was excellent. The food is really good, well presented and great quality. Drinks choice is great, nice wine. Absolutely faultless throughout.

Went to experience Hisar yesterday. Could not fault the food, portion a bit small for price. Service appalling, waited over 5 minutes to be handed menus, no offer of dessert/ coffees. Had to try to flag someone down to pay the bill!

Order a lamb shish via Just East and the meat was still raw in the middle, so I couldn't eat most of it. Very disappointing portion sizes for the almost £19 price tag. Tiny box of raw lamb, tiny container of rice and a tiny plastic container of salad. Poor value for money. Definitely won't be ordering here again.

I give this delightful resteraunt 10/10. I found the staff very attentative and friendly. The food was absolutely superb. On our walk home we noticed other resteraunts empty but Hisar was full, no suprise really. We will definetly return.

I left at closing time which was at 11pm this eve 05/04; I was shocked; out of no instruction or reasoning from the waiter, more than half a beer, from an effe bottle, was taken from my table. If it was due to the closing time this should have been made clear, but yet, as there were other customers still in there, who were not hurried on, I am assuming it was not for that reason. So I am rather perplexed why this was the case. Especially as I asked a member of staff where my beer was and he shrugged as if to say "tough luck mate", and informed me he couldn't help as it had been emptied. Further to this, the food had certainly gone down hill from the last time I was there, and there has been a continuation of the food going down hill in the last month or so, if i'm completely honesty. The taste of meat feels of less quality. However, It was the beer that was the most vocal point for me tonight, as I was looking forward to the rest while I was writing my thesis. If it was because of closing time this needs to be made clearer and better communication from a customer service point of view and a reevaluation on manners is needed from staff. Furthermore, potentially, as part of the training exercises; practicing lifting bottles of effe that are more than half full; to being empty, to get used to which is which may be in order. Sounds facetious i know; but I am very disappointed, and after this being my local for more than half a year now, I sadly won't be coming back again. Very disappointed in deed.

Wonderful lunch here. We arrived with my disabled aunt, and the staff were so helpful! Helped us with getting her chair in and getting her comfortable. We were made to feel so welcome, and the food was glorious. Service absolutely brilliant! The place was impeccably clean, with them cleaning the tables and chairs between parties and toilets were spotless! The only downside is it’s 100 miles from my home else id be there every week!

First time I’ve tried this restaurant, good menu, decent portions with friendly staff serving up! Shared starters tried the hummus with lamb which was lovely. Moussaka for main, great chips! Micel kept us entertained!

Portions too small, I had lamb chops and rice. Two tiny chops, never seen them so small before and a tiny cupped serving of rice. Not good for the price at all, felt like I was being served a toddler’s dinner. The staff were polite and the service was good.

There are many factors that are involved when creating an exceptional culinary experience. Hisar Meze Bar in West Wickham tick every box. Quality of produce, preparation, cooking style, presentation, consistency, etc. These people know what they are doing! They are masters of Meze and food cooked over charcoal. There are many kebab restaurants out there, but this one is in a different class from the rest. It gets the highest possible recommendation from us.

We went to the West Wickham restaurant recently and were shown a very warm welcome and great care was taken with one of our party who was nervous due to being unwell and of the covid situation. we then ordered a takeaway on Sat 16th Oct while in London for delivery and it came on time and hot. It was a hot and cold Meze and a couple of mains for 5 people. The person delivering it was very polite and pleasant too!

Just got back from my son's 18th at Hisar good food, friendly staff and great atmosphere. They were very accommodating as we supplied a cake and banners. Will definitely go back.
