Limited menu, almost no vegetarian options, quality below average and taste is far from memorable. Skip it.

Poor quality, pho missing beansprouts and server doesn't even mention it. Also, got overcharged. A roughly written bill for £58 when the dishes was actually £50. If it was a service charge, they should have mentioned it. The papaya salad was mainly raw onions with only 4 pieces of prawns split down the middle. The pho was disappointing and rather bland. The beef ho fun was incredibly greasy and apart from seasoned with salt, there was no additional flavour present. Overall, very very disappointing. 2 starters and 3 mains with no drinks for £58...not the greatest prices for the quality.

Very long wait..but lovely food!

Beef brisket pho was good, great flavours although the beef could be a tad more tender. Very decent portion given the price! They have made a gluten free salt and pepper squid for us, which was lovely! We ordered 2 freshly squeezed oranges juice also very decently priced!

Fabulous experience. Contrary to previous reviews, pho portion size was huge and more than enough for one person. We would certainly come back. Thank you!

very disappointing and bland food. We ordered 2 starters, 1 main course and 2 sides. It was very expensive (over £50 for 2 pp). The stir fry was bland. There was nothing fresh nor zingy, nor titillating, as you would expect with Vietnamese food. The side orders were vegetables, which were old and soggy. I don't understand how this restaurant can have good ratings. Very disappointing. Would not recommend.

Food was ok. The summer rolls and beef in betel leaf were ok, but bun chay was a bit weird. It was in separate sections and not in a bowl. The coffee was also not Vietnamese coffee, but just regular coffee prepared in Vietnamese way.

Decent place, even greater take out.

New discovery eatery, thought it would be a good idea to try out. Booked it in advance, but they were confused with the timing and called ip to chased up 30 minutes before to see where we are. Place was small, but nicely decorated with dome Vietnamese pictutre/photos, otherwise basic plain colours. There were 3 other "parties" tables eating there and my party of 4 were the smallest of the parties. It was very slow services, took at least 5 minutes for the menus, drinks was another 10 minutes! First course/starters 25 minutes and the mains about another 35 minutes after that. We had to ask or chase up each time. There were at least 3 people by the bar/till counter at most times. During the not so busy service to of them started eating themselves! The food wasn't the best Vietnamese food tasted and potion was fair size for its price. However, we noticed the prices wasn't the same as the menu when paying. The owner (lady) said they couldn't get the printing done because of Covid!!! I reminded the owner that she could've manually changed the menu prices by sticking a small label over the old prices. She just smiled at me. As we was leaving she tried to give me back £2 in coins the difference in one of the ordered item. By that time we all lost our interest in this eatery totally!!! Not one to return to both because of it's very slow services as well as lack of business senses.

Greasy swimming in sauce. Having said that, not the worst. But felt like I had ordered from a Chinese. Wouldn’t order again. Try Pho District only down the road, for authentic Vietnamese, a million times better, they focus on flavour as opposed to their beef just being slimy due to an overload of sauce.

Worst Vietnamese we have ever had. Everything tasted watery and had little flavour. The soft shell crab tasted of freezer burn. The nước chấm was a light yellow colour and had little to not fish sauce in it. The beef brisket pho was watery as well and came with no sriracha or hoisin. Incredibly overpriced for the quality of food they offer. Would not recommend.

Ordered a delivery from the website, @19:25 they told me my delivery was on its way from 40-50m. Delivery arrived @21:20, 2h later. To make matters even worst the soup was cold and they didn't send any cutlery. Ended up not having the proper Pho experience as i had no fork to eat the noodle. In the end was tasty but for cold noodles after 2h of wait I definitely dont recommend this place. Driver didn't even apologise.

Hoang Lan is a lovely family restaurant which I love to go to with my children. Delicious fresh food cooked really well, and fresh green coconut chopped for you on demand. I recommend the Beef in black bean sauce, but my wife would recommend the Sea Bass, but my son would recommend the gluten free noodles with prawn and squid! We always get too too much so that we can have a takeout of the next day.

Love this restaurant. Flat rice noodles with mixed meats is always great. The Vietnamese coffee is delicious, and if it wasn't so strong I'd always go for seconds...!

Got the beef brisket Pho, beef wasn't as soft as expected but still super tasty and the soup was very flavourable. Decent portion size and nice service. Definitely recommend and will go again.

Amazing food. We were in Westfield looking for food and Pho closed just as we got there... So we were left with the craving of vietnamese but couldn't find any. This was only half an hour away and its the best place we've found for months. Definitely coming back for more!

That Restaurant was a discovery for me, usually I don’t like Pho soups, but their Pho is something different, the menu is great and your food is ready in no time, last time I had salt& pepper squid, beef salad, sea food sizzling and jasmine rice, every thing was tasty and satisfying, coming back for sure, hope you cope with that lockdown .

Amazing food and amazing pho (noodles with soup and beef brisket or prawns)! Hot and tasty, just what you need on a cold day. It's low calories and healthy too, so highly recommended! Worth noting with COVID they are open for takeaway and the soup is perfectly served in takeaway. It's served in separate containers as well to make a big portion (which is amazing), broth on one big bowl and the garnish, meat and noodles on another container and so you can prepare it nicely at home or whenever. Food is served in plastic bowls with plastic cutlery (and wooden chopsticks). The food was really worth it though at an amazing value, so I will definitely return!

Best Vietnamese food in London, me thinks. I usually order the Pho with beef and chicken and the Papaya Salad with Tofu and it’s always outstanding! The Sizzling Beef is also great and the kids adore the Wonton Soup.

I've travelled a lot in Vietnam, and Hoang Lan has the best and most authentic Vietnamese food I've found in all of London. I had some absolutely delicious summer rolls, iced coffee and grilled caramelised fish - everything was fresh and full of flavour, and the staff made us feel very welcome. Everyone in west London needs to come and try this place!

We came here for lunch after seeing amazing reviews! Unfortunately the restaurant was lacking in atmosphere - no music or background noise. The service was not great either... the woman who worked there was very cold and seemed annoyed that we had walked in. She spent the whole duration of the meal picking at her teeth and making unappetising mouth noises behind the counter. The Pho was a very generous portion and had a nice flavour - would give it 2.5 stars because of the food but google only allows for 2. Unfortunately would not go back due to the service.

Had an amazing meal with old school friends. The service was second to none. The food was mouth wateringly delicious and In definitely going back for more very soon. Can't fault this place.

Probably the best pho in the UK. The clear broth was sweet and appetising while the fried rice has a very Chinese take to it. The curry we had was really good as well although I'd hope for it to be a little more spicy (because I'm an Asian) though it's still really fragrant nonetheless. Bottom line is, it's a place that I would return with more friends.

Authentic food straight from Vietnam! I came back from Vietnam after spending 3 years in the country and I can say this is by far the most authentic Vietnamese food I've in London so far. I had Fried tofu and a huge bowl of Phở Bò (Beef noodle soup). Both very tasty and its made just like they do in Vietnam which surprises me because I have tried about 10 different Vietnamese in London and none were that good. Fair prices, great food and great service! Will be coming back soon! Tom Tép

Had the most delicious meal here. The papaya salad was exquisite and so was my tofu pho. My partner wasn't feeling well as so the delightful and friendly person who served us got an off menu tofu soup made for her. She said it was delicious and made her feel so much better. It was a quite night at the restaurant, but the hospitality and atmosphere was amazing - and the food even better. Will definitely be coming back!

One of the best authentic Vietnamese restaurants in London. They have the best phở, bánh bèo, and a selection from their menu. I would definitely recommend this to anyone in London who wanna knows what real phở tastes like. The owner is very friendly and they do delivery!

Had lovely take away so fresh and vibrant flavours. We had the sharing platter and few extra dishes and thought it great value I like the fact you can choose veggie options as I like to keep meat intake low. Going to eat in next time just so can experience actual resraurant. Impressed. .

I probably went to the restaurant and also got food delivered over 30 times. The food is delicious, everyone we bring there comment on how tasty it is. The black been sauce with chicken or beef and egg fried rice is fantastic.

Hoang Lan is a local gem! The food is consistently fresh and delicious, plus they have some really interesting dishes on the menu. The staff are very friendly as well and the service is good. There are a lot of restaurants to choose from on Askew road, and this is up there with the best in my opinion. I don't understand why the Thai next door is often busier, as the food there is very average. Please support this local restaurant!

A small Vietnamese restaurant open in place of a firmer Japanese place. The food is delicious, mains are priced just under 10 pounds. The ice creams are over frozen but thus was probably the only snag, otherwise highly recommended.

We have eaten here a few times and are always struck by the high level of service. The food is delicious too! We are vegetarian and there is plenty to eat.

We ordered it home and I swear I haven't had fresher food before! Excellent taste and array of dishes. Very authentic flavour and with an excellent fish sauce - only thing is: if you buy noodles, they can be a little bit dry. Use sweet chili sauce for it :)

Hoang Lan Mixed - as a starter it is ridiculously generous and wonderful! Filled us up and we could barely finish the mains so took some home. Fab next day! We went last week and are going again a week later with friends. Love to support places like this! Now been three times since this review and not disappointed!

The food is absolutely delicious. Yes, many restaurants have fresh ingredients but to take food to the next level you need have the experience and passion. I don't know which one it is that Hoang Lan cook(s) have but the food was exceptional- especially the lemongrass dish. Try it! Service was also great and open from 5pm which is a bonus as I like early dinners. Oh, and portions are huge!

I loved Sagano sushi, but had to visit to try their change over to Vietnamese and was not disappointed. Its the same family run busines and its awesomly good. They do the best wonton soup I've had in London. The rest of the food we had was delicious as well and with generous portions. I was even shocked at the bill as well. Such a bargain and will be returning soon for more wonton. Go support these guys and their business you won't be disappointed!

Very good sushi for a decent price. Very relaxed as it's never crowded and quite cozy. My wife and I go mostly there for our couple dinners. Non-sushi selection is a bit limited, which might be inconvenient for some but not for us

I have only had takeaway from here but it was all wonderfully delicious food. It genuinely left me excited afterwards! Highly recommended.

Good sushi but the place as whole was a let down. Lacklustre interior and very mediocre service. The menu had no visuals to explain the choices adequately and the waiter wasn't very helpful in elaborating, and most importantly I orordered a platter which said 59 maki pieces. only to receive 49 maki pieces. I raised this issue to the waiter only for her to never return back with any response as she had said she would Enquire with the chef and get back to me. Basically ignored me as tho I'm a dumb Who forgot my own question. This has never happened any where else in my times

Superb experience... fresh, delicious sushi (best sea urchin and squid ever tasted), perfect rock shrimp tempura, and the sauces on the cooked dishes we tried are amazing. Always playing Nujabes when I pop in for a Bento box at lunchtime too, another great reason to go there.

Great place. I've been to Japan 4/5 times and this is definitely one of the best Japanese restaurants in London I've been to. Quite small. The food is top quality. Love it!

Environment is nice and staff were accommodating and pleasant. If you don't eat meat though, the menu is hopeless. There are just 6 or so tables so it can fill-up fast. In that case there is a Thai place right next-door.

Absolutely love this place, must have walked past it 100 times but not really noticed it. I guess somewhat unfairly i just didnt expect to find a particularly great japanese restaurant in this location but the sushi is amazing, some of the best i've ever had (and i've had sushi at a lot of places). Highly recommended - I just wish they did their bento boxes in the evening as well as for lunch and i'd probably eat there at least once a week.

This Sushi restaurant is an absolute hidden gem in West London. The food here is amongst some of the best Japanese cuisine in London. The menu contains all of the usual favourites from sushi and sashimi prepared with beautiful fresh fish, through to perfect tempura and gyoza. The venue itself is cosy, and can feel crammed if close to full, but when its quieter, it feels really intimate and is a nice place for a date. The decor is cheap and cheerful, but Japanese themed, and not tacky or distracting, and allows to focus on the amazing food. If you can't get a seat, or just want some amazing sushi at home the home delivery is usually really fast! An amazing venue on the Askew Road in West London - if you love sushi, you wont regret a visit.

Fantastic sushi, some of the best I've had in all of London. Really simple experience that is focused on quality. This place has been in the neighbourhood forever, but we just moved. It was top of our list to try and we weren't disappointed.
