Lovely cafe and great staff. Great food at good prices and dog friendly as well what more could you ask for.

This is a great lively little Cafe with good panninis, coffee etc. service is very good considering they are always pretty busy.

Mocha and a chipshop wrap. Very very good. Order was taken swiftly and the food wasn't far after. Nice side salad with the wrap, overall a very nice meal.

Love meeting friends here for coffee and cake or lunch - can never decide what to choose as there's so many great options ☺️

Came in with my wife as we were shopping to get ready for a weekend away. It made the day and trip even more special. Food delicious, service great and brill value. Will be back again

Visited here to get breakfast. As soon as I entered I was met with a warm friendly team who got me seated immediately. Once I’d had a few minutes to browse the menu my order was quickly taken. I just ordered a sausage sandwich and a coffee. The coffee arrived in a good sized mug and was lovely and hot. The sandwich arrived soon after and was toasted and really tasty. I eventually left and looked at the cakes that looked absolutely stunning and very large! I’d have no hesitation visiting here again. Warm, friendly staff and environment and tasty food and drink.

This was our first visit here and definitely won't be our last! Wonderful service from start to finish, with a lovely menu and the food was amazing.

Lovely, spotlessly clean retro-styled cafe with friendly and welcoming staff. We stopped off for lunch while out shopping in Carlisle and found this cafe down a little side street. They are well worth a visit, the food and service was excellent.

Instagram breakfast. Looks amazing, tastes the same as any other fry up. Was disappointed the toast and bacon was rock hard. Enjoyed it though, the coffee was really good. Good selection of cakes, great decor. Nice treat. Would I go every week, no. Quite expensive.

My first visit, I've been meaning to go for ages. Located in St Cuthbert's Lane furthest from the city centre, it's inviting from outside and cosy and warm inside. You're welcomed with a very appropriate Northern theme. I waited to be seated, was given a menu, and time to ask questions before deciding on my treat. I have to say with so many sweet and savoury treats on offer it took some deciding. The cheese scone and skin on fries with Earl Grey tea were the order of the day. Delicious. I will have to return to sample the sweet treats. The atmosphere and decor were fantastic, and the staff were helpful, friendly, and super efficient. You can pay cash or card, and there's a loyalty card for scones and cakes!!! This cafe is accessible and I observed a customer in a wheelchair navigating the premises with ease. A very busy little cafés so you might need to be prepared to wait at peak times.

We have been wanting to visit here for so long but owning a cafe ourselves we seem to have a day off when they're also having a well deserved day off! Absolutely lovely and quirky inside. Greeting with a smile on arrival. Table service for ordering and the food was delicious, came out very quickly and we ate the lot. Even took away a couple of delicious homemade brownies for an afternoon snack but mine didn't make it past the car journey on the way home 🤭 Also dog friendly inside, very accommodating towards our nervous border collie - who was literally so relaxed in here she wanted to greet everybody which is unusual for her and kept getting in the way! Would highly recommend to visit here!

A very popular place! And I can see why, the cake selection was amazing. It was flying off the shelves. The hot drinks came out in quaint coloured cups and the cake was delicious. Would recommend a visit.

Such a lovely café in Carlisle. The gluten-free cake was so good, I had to check they'd given me the right one. Staff are friendly and I really liked the cafe's aesthetics/atmosphere.

Been keen to come here for some time, after hearing fabulous things about their cakes. It did not disappoint, it was packed so we were going to get a takeaway but then a table became available as we were ordering which the waitress kindly cleaned and got set up for us. Lovely welcome, and all the staff seemed cheerful. Kids gave top marks for their cakes. Would love to come back for breakfast or lunch next time. Thank you

This was my 3rd visit to the cafe over recent months & I've never left disappointed. It is popular & I've previously not been able to get seated. The cafe is light & fresh with cute Pastel colours with WiFi available. I went for Strawberry cheesecake French Toast having previously seen other customers enjoying theirs & I wasn't disappointed. Absolutely beautiful fresh strawberries & fluffy light French toast. My kids were both beaten by their choice of waffles & a warmed up brownie with ice cream. I've previously had spicy roast parsnip soup in here which was the nicest soup I'd ever had. The cafe was busy as was the City Centre & there was a constant stream of customers being told hot food was now finished which is disappointing from their business point of view however this is the owners personal decision & not a reason to give a lower score. The card payment system was also down but the staff were informing customers before they ordered & I paid by bank transfer so no issues. Other reviews have suggested staff are rude but I've personally never found that & everyone has been very friendly when I've been served.

My son and I went for lunch today, 6th July. I have to say that the experience was excellent as always, and the french toast that my son had was amazing! I had a taste and would highly recommend it to anyone. The service was as friendly and as speedy as ever, seeing as they were very busy. In summary the best place to go in Carlisle!

Nice interior, crockery and food but very long waits. At least 10 minutes for order to be taken then 40 minutes wait for our food so won’t be back. Appreciate they were busy, a lovely place but service needs to improve.

I absolutely love this cafe. The staff are so friendly and bubbly they always make you smile. The coffee is amazing, and the cakes, ooooooo my!!! I live near cockermouth and yes I have travelled all the way to Carlisle just for those cakes on more than one occasion 🤤🤣

Popped in for lunch and was served efficiently from a friendly member of staff. The cafe was clean with a quiet atmosphere. I had a beautiful oat milk cappuccino and the carrot and lentil soup. The bread was warm from the oven and delicious. Thanks for a cosy lunch break! 💖

A lovely looking cafe with cute crockery but the cakes were simply tasteless. Mine was meant to be coffee and you would never have known. My daughter had the carrot cake but again tasteless. Will try again and hope it’s better

Great little find, popped in for lunch. Cafe was clean, staff were friendly and attentive. Some vegan options available, had a jackfruit panini and chocolate orange brownie and both were delicious. Very reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

Popped into I Love Cafe. Lovely warm greeting. We were seated and handed menus. Our order was taken promptly, and hot drinks were delivered. There was a little wait for food. We ordered 2 x Steak Fajita pannies with a side salad and chunky coleslaw price £9.50 each. Unfortunately, I was slightly disappointed as they were not in a pannie bread they were in a french baguette that was toasted. Hence, they were very crunchy. Overall not a bad meal, but it would be a lot nicer if they were in proper pannie bread.

Incredibly cosy! I love coming here. It’s very nice. The staff are amazing. The food is even better. And the vibes are immaculate!! I definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a nice place to eat or just to get a drink!

, St Curthbret's Lane it's in the town centre it looks damn good the new place they've always serve a good meals and give pleasure to the customers helping them I don't know what more can I see my children grandchildren like it's so I must do as well because we go together spend time with the family and friends and people are very friendly in the cafe even the owners it's service to the table I've said everything you must go and try it yourself and I think you'll enjoy because I I love it see you sometime in there

Food was nice enough but for the prices charged the portions were less than generous, I had the breakfast bruschetta, partner had french toast and both were disappointingly small in size. Service was excellent but sadly too expensive for the offerings for us.

Go there it's fab, great lunch menu, we both had wraps, exceptionally fresh and tasty. The cakes are amazing save your calorie intake for one its worth it! Service was good, very friendly.

First class establishment! Very busy place and an absolutely delightful and welcoming sight of delicious looking cakes and scones as you come in. Lovely friendly staff. We had the fruit scones which were fresh and tasty. We had a sneak peak at the surrounding tables and their food looked absolutely amazing with awesome presentation. This is a must for everyone! Definitely will return.

Easily the best place for lunch in Carlisle. I’ve been eating here a few times a month, even before they moved from the original location. The ciabattas are a really filling option, and it’s worth getting a side of truffle fries if you want that extra savory treat. Speaking of treats, the cakes are amazing as well. I love to take them away for later since I’m usually too full from the lunch!

So disappointed. My first visit to the new cafe St. Cuthberts Lane. We called on at 3pm on a Saturday. When we got to the counter we were told it had been a “busy day and that they were only doing take outs” I felt like I was being a nuisance by visiting . I had been a regular customer in the old cafe. Thankfully there are lots of really friendly cafes in Carlisle who are happy to receive customers at 3pm!!!!

Fantastic menu. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. Cakes are amazing as everything’s homemade. Scones are divine , get there it’s definitely highest rated cafe in my book . Never heard a bad word said about it. Get yourselves there ASAP xx

We arrived and waited as instructed by the sign blocking our way. It was busy but there were tables available. We waited and we waited; the servers were busy and we were ignored not once, not twice, not thrice so we left. What happened to common courtesy? No wonder these businesses spring up and close down within months.

The new venue in St. Cuthberts Lane really hits the spot for I Love Cafe. Great atmosphere, good food and some of the finest tattoos to be seen in Carlisle. My quickie visit today consisted of a panini, bowl of skin on chips and a latte. Charlotte and her team are doing a great job and long may it continue. I WILL be back !

I popped in at around 2pm on a Wednesday and it was very busy but thankfully I only wanted a cake to take home with me. I'm so glad I did. As a baker I'm very fussy when it comes to cake. If I'm having cake I want rich, indulgent dense delicious cake, not tiny portion delicate airy fairy rubbish. It's better to have a big slice and cut it in two (if so inclined) than feel short changed. This cake is AMAZING. Worth 10x the price and I can't wait to go back. So SO happy I found this place - I can die happy :)

We sat down after been shown to a table at 9.32 there was 14 other people seated at the time, clean, looks nice, girl took our order, Only for drinks, said it was done in order, we had to wait for another waitress to come do that, at 9.45 order taken for food, I did tell first waitress we wanted our drinks with food, At 10.04 we were still waiting, this was for a toasted teacake and a sausage sandwich, the cafe was quite full by this time, I thought I was in a crèche, loud, prams parked inside, this is not for us. We just left. To be truthful we were trying this cafe after we saw it advertised, we always go to Celebrations. So off we went, we sat down at 10.10, ordered by 10.23, food arrived at 10.22, Hot and prepared to a standard of high quality, not that here wouldn’t be, but terrible service, certainly needs looked at, so disappointed, won’t be back

Me & my daughter went for breakfast and we had a lovely welcome from the staff. Our food was very tasty and served with a smile, we would highly recommend it.

I popped in today and had a small breakfast and a pot of tea to go with it! What a delicious treat it was and the pot of tea was the best. A friendly service in a very clean environment. Looking forward to my next visit.

There is homage and then there is plagiarism every aspect of this place seems like an imitation of finch bakery which is a bit unfortunate. There is nothing technically wrong with the place just like there is is nothing technically wrong with a fake designer handbag from a market stall which unfortunately is what this place feels like.

Awesome cafe nestled up a side ally in the centre of Carlisle. Great place for a catch up with friends, or to take the weight off your feet after a morning or afternoon of walking round the shops. Absolutely love the decor and table layout. From the minute you walk through the door you are greeted by the lovely ladies working behind the counter and are seated at your table if you choose to dine in. They have a good selection of food and drinks to choose from. Then there is the abundance of home made cakes that are sure to keep you coming back just to get through the different selections on offer. 😋 I had the I Love café Breakfast and an iced coffee. I followed it up with a millionaires cake ( my eyes are definitely to big for my belly, as I wasn’t able to finish the cake off due to the extremely tasty breakfast) When we arrived we didn’t have any problems at getting a seat, which I think we timed it just nicely as it started to get very busy whilst we were there. They accept both cash and card payments. Although I think card payment is preferred as it speeds up the transaction process. 😊 To the management and staff keep up the good work, we throughly enjoyed our visit today and will definitely be back in the future. 10/10 for food, service & Atmosphere. 😊🙏

Just opened larger cafe and it's fab!! Large choice on menu and as usual our food was delicious. Most friendly atmosphere and staff. Your custom always seems to be appreciated unlike large chains. If you need refreshment in Carlisle, this is the place! Good luck with new place!

Lovely welcome from very friendly but not intrusive staff. We had sandwiches which were delicious, nice hot coffee and a pot of tea. China teapot, cups and plates. Very nice. Highly recommend.

I went there in October for a ham and cheese toastie and it was the best toastie I have ever had as the ham was like pulled pork and the desserts were AMAZING!! defo try and was not a long wait!!
