We thought we would give this one a go. We normally go to IKEA Reading and I now know why. Parking wasn’t a problem, first impression it seemed just like the Reading store & then we came to the food court. How disappointing was that, none of the soft drinks were working, coffee machines had run out of coffee beans, there was no forks (had to wait 5mins to get them) I don’t know what they do differently here , but the food wasn’t that nice, 30 mins after eating both of us wasn’t feeling great. I wouldn’t come back here even if you paid me, I think I’ll stick to Reading.

Good grief, what a horrible experience. It has been a few years since I last visited a major IKEA, persuaded by my daughters who wanted some new furniture for their rooms that it was fine and remember the lovely meatballs? We checked all the items were in stock, all showing plenty and headed of to Brent Cross. All 3 items couldn't be found, we asked numerous members of staff who either didn't know or didn't care or both. Someone finally took pity on us and explained the App rarely worked correctly and all items were not in fact in stock (probably). This process took more than 2 hours. Dejected, we went to the café, it was 3-4 hours before closing but they decided to put trolleys blocking one of the entry points so there were queues starting in different places leading to bad tempered congestion. The server was so impatient to the point of rudeness, the once appreciated meatballs were cold and dry, the sauce very sparce and the chips inedible. We did buy a few things, (including a light fitting that was so fiddly to install it nearly got tossed) so had to endure queues again. The food sales area beyond the main check outs has had some good interesting items in the past but now has a self check out. There was quite a queue for this as it failed for every user needing a member of staff to attend who would fix it and leave only for the next customer to have to go and find the. It was at this point I gave up. Just go to John Lewis it will cost more but so worth it, your life will be far better.

I've used this branch for maybe 15 or 20 years and yet today was the worst experience I've ever had. Every employee appears to have given up and some are actively rude. I'll be taking that up with them directly. I checked stock before leaving to visit, checked again once there and yet the item was missing so I wasn't able to get the main thing I needed. No staff could be bothered to check any information of what might have happened so I left the store empty handed.

AWFUL experience at IKEA Wembley. Ordered an item we had to collect from the Collection Point. After waiting for 20 minutes I asked a member of staff where our item was and he said he’d go and grab it. After waiting 30 minutes I asked another member of staff who chased up where our order was. After 45 minutes we were told that part of the order wasn’t in stock. I then had to go to a different counter at the other end of the store at Refunds and wait a further 20 minutes while a different member of staff was free because the person I was dealing with wasn’t authorised to handle my problem. Hideous experience that really lets you down IKEA!

recently visited IKEA Wembley and encountered significant issues at checkout. The employee responsible for checking receipts was extremely slow and unprofessional, his actions resulted in the loss of an item as he began removing items from our basket as he was unable to even read the product name and reconcile the items with the receipt. I left feeling dissatisfied with my overall experience. i would recommend IKEA to review the employees and make sure they are polite and respectful and enough educated to read the items.

Awful experience. I was shouted at by a person behind the counter at the restaurant for not asking for my meatballs without gravy. They didn't put jam despite me asking. The person at the till was talking to me while looking another way. I bought two drinks and found the drinks machine out of order. The person on the till said they had mentioned this when I paid. If they did, it was when they were looking the other way.

Nice place but the staff at Smalland is absolutely not cut for customer service. No smile, no explanation whatsoever and very rude. I was helping someone in front of me using the registration screen as I have used before but the staff was clearly useless. They should have informed the person that one person could register two children rather than waiting for 5 minutes for two registrations. Also security staff very rude asked me my receipt while explaining that I did pay my shopping already and just back to collect the child

The experience at this IKEA is pretty dreadful, the staff aren't particularly helpful and they won't provide any assistance to help you with discounts that you have been provided and a lot of time you feel like you can't even get the offers because they don't seem to want to help. Unfortunately I won't be coming back because of this, I came specifically to use a voucher the cashier refused to assist with. I am very disappointed. The food at the end of the day was bad too, the staff didn't want to give us what we asked for and it took so long to pay because the cashier again didn't understand the code. When we finished random cleaners started putting cutlery on our food boards, ridiculously rude.

Had the plant balls and asked for any dessert or sweet things for vegans but I was told to go and read the screen/tablet myself... It's shocking the staff won't give information as they want to you to look it up yourself. That would mean leaving the queue which took about 20 minutes to get to order food and inconvenience everyone behind us and probably going into the queue again. So we had the meatballs and chips. Great lingonberry sauce, the gravy is too thick and flavourless. Sadly everything has rapeseed oil and it's not healthy. Portions quite small so we ordered the 8 plant balls and added another 4 plant balls but it was still small portion. The restaurant is large and has nice booths where you can sit and nice views. When it's busy, it's busy.

I purchased items some weeks ago and purchased my items through a manned till. Upon leaving the store I was stopped at the exit adjacent to a busy customer service area and was asked if I had paid for my items. I confirmed I had and was not believed. I was asked where I had purchased the items and I responded at the far till. Again I was not believed. I was then asked if I had proof of purchase. I looked in the ikea bag and produced it. I then had my bag searched with all the people in customer services looking at me. I have now reported this incident to ikea customer services on four separate occasions who have contacted ikea Wembley to offer me an explanation as to why I had been stopped without good reason,searched publicly or to apologise to me. As the management have not had the good manners and decency to contact me I am obviously giving a negative review. I hope that this does not happen to you as it’s most embarrassing and ikea Wembley management clearly couldn’t give a damn

Initially, I had given IKEA Wembley a rating of 5 stars due to its ample parking spaces, choice of products for purchase, and its restaurant. Now, I am updating my review to downgrade the 5 stars I had given IKEA Wembley to a new 3-star rating. This is due to the restaurant now having removed the comfortable seating arrangements it had such as the sofas and sofa bench layouts - it only has small chairs, which may well be deemed as children's chairs which have little to no comfort at all. I believe that this is a cost cutting tactic by IKEA Wembley. I'm really not happy with this, and hopefully, upon receiving this review, IKEA Wembley can look to bring back some of the sofa seating arrangements.

Waited 30 mins for one item and when asking two members of staff they kept saying it was coming. Meanwhile customers were coming and going collecting multiple boxes under 10 mins. As I asked what’s going on it turns out my item was just sitting there next to their desk. To the two lads that were working at the collection area at 9:44pm on 25/11/24 less chatting and more sorting customers efficiently.

Great store. Beware of the taxi scammers at the tills, they do not take no for an answer and will charge you double to triple the cost of IKEA delivery. Had an experience with a very shady character today, no uniform, no iD, claimed to be a driver for angel cars taxi service, he wouldn't leave me alone after I'd paid for a sofa, what's worse is that the IKEA staff on collection point lied to me to try to coerce me into using this shady characters service. Very disappointed in how what was a good shopping experience ended, felt like I was being friendly mugged.

It's a bit far, but we wanted to see the items before we purchased them. Lots of choices. There were toilets, lifts, parking, and a cafe. We had our lunch there. Avoid this IKEA! The car park is full of aggressive beggars...who harass you the moment you get out of your car.. and again when you leave the store. This has happened on every single visit I've made to this store. We reported it to "security" but he just smiled and nodded and did nothing about it. Rather than do anything he just suggested we go to customer service and file a report. I have a better idea. I'll just never come to this store ever again! Aside from the beggars, the toilets in this store absolutely reek of urine. Our last trip to this store was so incredibly unpleasant it will remain our LAST VISIT....EVER.

Probably some of the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Asked multiple workers for help carrying a mirror onto my trolley, but was told no. Then waited at customer service to ask for help, to then be told this is a “self serve” ikea and they don’t help with those things. I asked if they could make an exception because I am alone and can wheel it out myself, and he laughed at me. Then after having a fellow patron offer his help, I then went to pay for the home delivery service, to then be charged and not given a label from the printer. Of course, there is not a human in sight, and the first one I could speak to told me I had to wait in the queue at the returns desk. I have now been waiting at customer service for 30 minutes to receive a label, while only 3 desks out of 8 are open to help. You can tell the ppl who work here are miserable and have no desire to show kindness.

Recently moved home and bought a number of items, ordered double of a wardrobe as online said unavailable so ordered a second wardrobe. I needed to return one.. and here begins the problem! Called on the 21st Oct and was told 28th is the nearest collection date. On the 28th waited all day.. I called at 5:45pm and was told collection could be upto 10pm, that’s a day waiting at home. Surprise no collection! Called back on the 29th was told the usual apology and the van wasn’t big enough so therefore no collection just like that, but was promised it would be picked up on the 5th November! Get a call on the 3rd to confirm collection and to confirm the wardrobe is dismantled - it’s still in its boxes as delivered no dismantling needed. 4th November get a text just like that a simple text to say collection is the 12th of November!!! Called customer service their response we don’t know why? The store is at fault and they can’t do anything nor give me a name or number but they will send an email to the store but collection is supposedly on the 12th. Here I am waiting, does ikea care that I have a disabled person at home and this is making my home unsafe. Well done 👏 ikea Wembley! quite frankly I’d like my refund that ikea is currently holding! I still need items for my home but I’ll be taking my money elsewhere.

The furniture and decor selection were extensive, and there’s a great variety for different styles and budgets. Staff were helpful, especially in the self-service area, and checkout was efficient. I enjoyed a stop at the cafe, for some classic Swedish meatballs, which was a nice bonus. Only downside is that weekends can get crowded, so navigating the aisles takes a bit more time. All in all, it’s a convenient spot for quality, affordable home goods.

From the cashier to the customer service has a "not my problem" attitude which is honestly worse than your budget friendly local supermarket shelf stackers. It's too long winded to explain but I wasn't even returning anything, I was buying! I feel sympathy for the people who need to return anything to this branch. As for food, "ran out" of kids pasta? I'm sorry? How does that work? Clearly individual franchises choice for a money making scheme as I've never heard of this in any other branch. We ate with spoons and a knife in the end because again, they seem to have "ran out", ended up queues of people at the cutlery area for a fork. I've seen it more busy and packed in other sites and never had this problem. There's unlimited amount of supplies in the market place area downstairs if you're low. I've been to most of the ikea's in the south and this one is ranked last. I honestly cannot wait until AI replaces these type of "services". If you're going to give a rubbish "experience" you may aswell take the human element out.

Impressed with customer service and taste of Pizza and price too. I am vegetarian hence reluctant to buy pizza from a chicken shop but the person on the counter was understanding. He washed his pizza slicer and made my pizza with care. I can tell from the tastes that it was made with attention. Reasonable price and tasty pizza.
