Very busy when we arrived but the staff, service and food were all very good. Will definitely revisit in the near future.

The ambience was amazing , the food was top notch , the owner couldn’t do enough and the staff too and the prices were very reasonable and large amount too . V impressed ! Didn’t even know it existed ! There is one in Holmes chapel, and Macclesfield too

This was my first time here and it was excellent I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a classy night out this is a good stop for all occasions

An absolutely beautiful meal again this evening! It was very busy which is wonderful to see for a local business - and very well deserved. What was amazing was the fact that the staff were just so in control, calm and still delivering exceptional customer service despite being so busy. A fabulous early evening New Year’s Eve meal. It’s the first time my wife and I have visited since the alterations. Very impressive. We will definitely visit again.Parking can be challenging.

I was looking for an Italian restaurant for a pre Christmas family meal and wow, what an amazing find! It felt so special from the minute we walked through the door and were greeted by Alberto. The decor is beautiful, the staff are all so friendly yet professional and the food & wine was outstanding, lots of choice and plenty of it to fill my hungry boys! My favourite dessert of all time is creme brulee and this was perfect, just how it should be, creamy on the inside and crunchy on the top! Definitely recommend it and we'll be back! Went here for our Christmas dinner and it was very impressive. I had an aubergine starter, battered fried courgette and a tasty and spicy lobster filled ravioli and prawn sauce. I had the mocktails which were brilliant. I would come back again

This was our second time here, both times were wonderful. The food is delicious and very tasty. The girl and gentleman who were serving us, served the whole restaurant by themselves and were very attentive and such nice people. The manager was such a good laugh. A Wonderful Surprise! After living in the area for over four years, we finally visited Il Padrino—and what a delightful experience it was! The team was incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious, and the wine selection was impressive. Beautiful food and just the right staff interaction, no one is stood by your tables waiting to remove plates as soon as you put your knife down, which is nice as no pressure to finish. Food top notch, staff really lovely, and the restaurant is beautiful. One small comment, a bottle of wine had found it’s way onto the bill we hadn’t had, prob genuine mistake but the bill is worth checking

Great food great owner will be coming again

This will be my last visit to this restaurant, it was like Faulty Towers experience tonight. There was either no service or 3 staff asking for drinks orders. Waited an hour and half for our food, then servers brought the wrong meal for one guest, wrong drink for another, one glass for a couple sharing a bottle of wine, we were not asked if we wanted desserts and overcharged on bill. The food was good, but the service wasn't worth 1*. Shame it could be so good, with competent staff and good Manager. After reading your reply full of denial. How would we couldn't get our complaints heard, as the owner was too busy using his customers as his personal councillors. If I had the wrong restaurant as you claim, how do we know your chief is 72 years old. Your mark up on a bottle of red is £3 and the joints of beef you buy are £75. Because you stood there boring us all with it! 😣 You think your being charming YOUR NOT!

Delicious food for a reasonable price. The restaurant was beautiful with very attentive service from the waiters and the manager despite being extremely busy at the weekend.

4th visit since refurbishment. Wow! This is a completely different place to what it was. The restaurant looks fabulous, the new guy, Franco, is fantastic, it matters not how busy they are, his manners and professionalism are second to none be that towards costumer or when he is speaking with staff. I will be honest, it’s been a while since encountering someone with passion for the industry, and this guy has it written all over him. Great job to Alberto for having found himself a great right hand. This Friday was amazing like the other ones. Grazie ragazzi, it’s a pleasure to have you in our town!

A big thank you. Knowing a Saturday night would be busy, we phoned early to book a table for three. Not surprisingly, you were busy, but squeezed us in at 1800hrs. A fantastic meal. Uber attentive staff and a great atmosphere. A real gem. Your excellent reviews are well deserved.

Wow! We found this restaurant by driving through Middlewich and what a treat it was. For me it was a vegetarian heaven. For a starter we ordered a vegetarian sharing plate and everything was not only made from scratch but yummy. My favourite arancini, mushrooms stuffed with mozarella and baked aubergine... it really couldn't get any better. To be honest the starter was so big that I hardly squeezed the main. I ordered quattro formaggi pizza and my husband had a chicken pasta. Everything was perfect. Not only food. The owner, waiters, decoration. Everything was beautiful. Even the price! If I had to give an improvement idea - the aubergine for the sharing plate either come in two separate dishes or be already cut in half. Only because I made a mess trying to share it 🫣 Also I apologise for the photo of the sharing plater.. I got so excited that I didn't take a photo when it came... few items are already eaten

Well what can we say from the minute you walk in what a fabulous experience, the restaurant is stunning to the eye, Alberto and his team are fantastic, they make you feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble the food is sublime absolutely delicious you will not be disappointed. The service was a bit chaotic either feast or famine of staff but they all did their best to look after us. We liked the interior and enjoyed our main courses but our positive experience plummeted when it came to the ice cream. There was a narrow choice of chocolate, strawberry or vanilla and we sampled vanilla and chocolate. Unfortunately the ice cream portion was unacceptably small and furthermore of poor quality with lots of ice crystals. it let down the rest of the menu. Our waiter apologised that it was served in a large glass. i don't understand why this ice cream was so poor but it is something the management could easily put right. the interior decor and main menu deserve better.

Came after the refurb and oh my goodness it looks fabulous! The food as always was delicious and the service was exceptional. The service was a little slow but it was so busy (which is lovely to see ) and we were happy just chatting enjoying our drinks. I would much rather have a little wait in a restaurant with a great ambiance than be in and out because there’s no one there!! Came for an evening meal with my family and from the moment we entered until we left the staff were outstanding, they made our evening. They couldnt do enough and had big smiles on their faces. Wonderful location in the center of town can be a bit tricky finding parking (don't let that put you off, the staff were brilliant, very helpful and friendly. The food was excellent and well priced definitely recommended will be going again.

I haven't been in Middlewich for a while so I carefully checked this place online before making my way there - only to find it's closed for building work! Apparently it doesn't open for another month but I couldn't find that information before travelling. On top of that, it was now just after 8pm, which seems to be bedtime for cooks these days so after failing to get into two other restaurants I gave up and got a takeaway. This lack of consideration for the paying customers is all too common and deeply disappointing. Just yesterday I told someone that I planned to be in Middlewich for a couple of nights and looked forward to revisiting Il Padrino. Building work has to done, but not making sure online sources are not misleading potential customers is unforgiveable.

Really great place to eat fantastic Italian food. Table for four. All had different starters and mains and everything was top drawer. Service from staff was excellent and an entertaining host to add to it all.

As always a beautiful meal really enjoyed it, friendly staff and good value for money. Nice to see well trained staff who enjoy their jobs .

Food is excellent here, go hungry as the portions are huge. They often do 10% discount for take away's and kids eat free. Highly recommend and can't wait for the refurbishment not that it needs it :)

Our second visit here and we're made to feel we were family. The staff are all great and friendly and the food is second to non. From the olives tat the beginning to grappa to finish everything was perfect. We will definitely be back

We went tonight to celebrate our daughter's 50th birthday and 2 weeks ago to celebrate my wife's 70th birthday. Both occasions were incredible, nights to remember. The food is amazing and the staff are incredible. In my opinion, the best restaurant in Cheshire. Grazie mille Alberto 👍

Lovely restaurant, staff attentive, welcoming and friendly. I had the seabass and risotto which was delicious, and a huge portion! My husband had the carbonara, and said it was the best plate of food he has had for a very long time. “Best carbonara ever!” We were on a hotel stay in Middlewich and this restaurant will be the reason we return. We visited Il Padrino in Middlewich for the first time to celebrate my wife's 70th birthday as a family. Coming into the bar area off the street was impressive, bright, modern, and well stocked. Up a couple of steps into the restaurant, very nicely laid out with good lighting. The menu was quite extensive, with many items on the list I have not seen before. The staff are very friendly and attentive, and nothing is too much trouble for them. They will tailor the menu to your requirements. If you want to add or remove something from the meal, they will gladly oblige, e.g, if you don't fancy mushrooms, they will leave them out if you fancy having broccoli, they will add it, no problem. Each member of my family thoroughly enjoyed the meal they ordered,even the children. I had sea bass fillets on a bed of prawn risotto that was amazing. My wife had the Pollo Griglia, of which I had a taste, and I can honestly say that it is one of the tastiest things I have ever had. We will be returning, and I will definitely be having the Pollo Griglia next time. Many thanks to the owner and staff for making my wife's birthday memorable. Thank you.

At last Middlewich has a superb restaurant! This Italian establishment offers a wonderful menu of authentic food at sensible prices. Lovely decor very attentive staff who really seem anxious to please! The seafood resotto was to die for!!! as was the sauteed mushroom starter!! Luigi our waiter was very helpful and guided us through our choices . Really looking forward to our next visit.

We booked a last minute table for our family, and our daughters loved it (as did Mummy and Daddy). Luigi made us welcome, and our four year old asked to come back before we'd even started eating! The food definitely didn't disappoint too, we had pasta dishes that were really tasty and fresh, our one year old couldn't get enough of the garlic bread and pizza (and from the taste I got that was really good too). We're lucky to have Il Padrino so close to home, we will be back soon!

Wow wee what an Italian!!! Very friendly staff and a lovely owner who spoke to us. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and one of the best I've ever seen. Loved all the pictures and the wine bottle arrangements. The food itself is out of this world, so tasty and beautifully displayed ... We both said it's one of the best restaurants we've been to and we eat out every night with work so that's some going and it's definitely a 10/10 and shame I can't rate it that. Can't wait to come back again 💯
