Worst food. Overcooked my burger. Had to throw it away. Wont try it again. Kindly, avoid.

Great meal here yesterday. Very attentive staff. The girl who served us was very knowledgeable and was able to recommend something to our taste. Hard to find a good dosa around but the one I had here was exceptional!

Very poor food hygiene. Ordered chilli chicken and hakka noodles. I was shocked to see a hair in the food as soon as I opened the chicken box. It completely killed my appetite and all the food went straight to the bin. Would never order from Indian Tiffin room again.

The food is bomb. Must must must recommended. Have not had better Indian food in the whole of UK.

The starters and main courses are delicious, although I wouldn't recommend the dessert. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant. Prices are a bit high for what you receive, but the quality makes it worthwhile

First of all the service and hospitality were so bad, the girl who took our order was literally short tempered and started raising her voice while asking for dishes, and the other factor is they charge 85p for hot drinking water in a small glass and that doesnt comes in the bill. The way she took our order was so inappropriate and she even rolled and made faces because there were noise coming from the customers behind her ( if she isnt ready to tolerate the joyful moments of the customers (family members) then she shouldnt be working as a waitress). They said its schezwan noodles and that tasted like its been loaded with black pepper and when we asked about what type of sauce fo you use and they said we dont use any sauce, which means its a fake name and there is no schezwan sauce used for schezwan noodles, and the manager came and he said he will replace it and bought us another plate of noodles without even drying the excess water from the noodles. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND TERRIBLE TASTE.

Sunish was absolutely outstanding. He was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the menu and was very attentive to our table. What a star ⭐️⭐️⭐️ The food was very tasty and bursting with flavour. 10/10 would definitely return.

My sister chose this restaurant because she enjoys Mowgli and Dishoom-style food. Personally, South Indian cuisine isn’t my favourite—it’s often too heavily spiced for me. For my 10-year-old daughter, I ordered lollipop chicken and Reshmi Kebab, which the waitress assured me were the least spicy options on the menu. We typically avoid Indian or Asian restaurants since my daughter isn’t a fan of curry. While she ate her meal, she made it clear it wasn’t something she’d want again. I tried a bite myself—it wasn’t chili-hot but still had a strong spice profile. For my main, I ordered the lamb Laal Maas, which I was told was “medium” in spice. However, I found it far too hot for my taste. I don’t eat curry often these days, so the 5-fruit mocktail was a lifesaver in cooling things down. My daughter had a sip but didn’t care for it. I also tried some of my sister’s starters. The yoghurt puri was pleasant, much better than the tamarind one, which I didn’t enjoy. I shared her mains as well—she ordered a chicken dish that I found overly cardamomy and unappealing. The lamb biryani had far too much meat and not enough rice and the rice itself was overcooked, with a mushy texture that didn’t look great on the plate. The dish was also quite chili-hot, which added to the disappointment. Overall, I found the food at Indian Tiffin to be average and not to my liking. I wouldn’t be in a hurry to return. The service was decent, though there were a couple of moments where the waitress rolled her eyes at my sister (who can admittedly be a bit rude). However, she was perfectly polite to me. Overall ok if you like South Indian Food but dim lighting made reading the menu difficult.

Went few days back to try the mouth watering thali. It was only for 10 pounds (offer valid till 31st December, 2024) It was really nice We got 2 fryums, raita, salad, white rice, palak paneer, dal makhni, aloo mattar and puri. For its value, it’s a total steal deal, would recommend!

My go-to place to eat. The food tastes incredible (the price is affordable too) and the service is always great. I always recommend this place to friends and family.

I visited this restaurant and was asked if I had a reservation. When I said no, one staff member laughed and said "Good" in a mocking tone, without further explanation. The interaction was rude and unprofessional, making me feel unwelcome. I won't be returning.

I tried the 10£ offer , the meal contains small portions of rice, lintel soup, Bombi potato , butter chicken and a drink It was very tasty. The service was great But I didn’t like the smell of the place!

Enjoyed a nice meal here. Only had a main course very tasty. I went for the King Prawn curry, something different, nice flavours and a good bit of heat. Portion sizes were good and lovely soft Garlic Naan bread.

A great little find in central Leeds. Starters We shared samosas and chilli paneer starters - both had rich flavours and large portions The mains were the December special, which were small portions of curry , bombay potatoes, Dhal, and rice plus a chapati . All were of a high quality with good size portions and great value for money. The service was great really attentive and friendly Overall a lovely lunch spot

Alors que mon amie est moi exprimions une intense volonté de retrouver les saveurs riches et excentriques de la cuisine indienne découvertes lors d'un voyage en Inde, le vent nous mena aux portes de l'Indian Tiffin Room. C'est sans déception que nous avons savouré une multitudes de mets exquis, cela dit peut-être trop relevés pour certains, à qui la main lourde du chef sur le piment ne jouait pas particulièrement en leur faveur. Cet excédent, que je préfère appeler générosité, fut compenser par l'extrême convivialité du serveur avec qui nous avons pu converser en hindi et qui n'a pas hésité à nous offrir un dessert. Une expérience gustative et humaine des plus plaisantes.

The food here has authentic Indian taste and its delicious. Their cheese chilli dosa is my go-to dish. I’d highly recommend.

We visited here as part of Yorkshire Appetite Food Tour which we did as a couple. The tour visits four Indian restaurants in the city centre and the Tiffin Rooms was the first stop. It was absolutely brilliant and we will definitely be returning for a full meal very soon. We had a fabulous vegetable samosa with two different dips as well as a very yummy sweet lime and ginger drink.

Went in for a meal with my wife and a friend to celebrate her birthday. Absolutely enjoyed the meal from start to finish 👌. Our friend was vegan and was offered a vegan menu and was very impressed. Thoroughly enjoyed my chicken dish full of flavour, struggled to eat it all but I did but glad I did.... Certainly will be back.

Very nice atmosphere Sunish served me lamb keema kaati roll with sweet potato fries. The Tarragon mocktail was very nice. Definitely will return in near future.

Visited with family, party of 7. We were taken great care of by the staff. We put ourselves in their hands for starters, which were absolutely amazing! The main courses were generous and extremely tasty. Lovely atmosphere and service. We will definitely return.

Schezwan Chicken noodles reminded of what I get back home. Quantity is good as well. Chicken lollipop was also good

Great food but spoiled by the poor service. Firstly the waitress constantly tried to upsell us drinks and food, then immediately asked us to leave as soon as we'd finished paying the bill. Not a very relaxing experience.

Went for dinner with friends , ordered Madurai Mysore masala dosa and Vegetable fried Rice.. the rice was spicy and delicious. Dosa was crispy and soft at the same time. Coconut chutney and other onion tomato chutney was very well made , even the potato stuffing was delicious. But best thing was sambar.. it was awesome.. Worth the time and money.. even the quantity of food is very good... Highly recommended for someone looking for great taste with quality..

Food was good, has a wide selection of street food dishes and some more common Indian meals. The service was very unprofessional, the waitress serving us handled our pani puri starter to ‘show us’ how to eat it without first asking. She told us in a rude way that one of dishes was spicy even though we had clearly read the menu , almost acting because we were white that we wouldn’t like it. Finally the most unprofessional and rude act was to hand us our desserts and then put the spoons in the desserts themselves rather than hand them to us separately. This type of rudest was only felt from this particular waitress all others were fine. There was also a 40 minute wait for our mains after finishing our starters. We had ordered our mains at the same time as the starters and after a few dirty looks to the staff, one came over saying our food won’t be long. Another 10 mins past and now she comes over to say the dosas were the issue which I find very hard to believe considering it is one of the main items on the menu. Eventually the food game after about 50 minutes. Overall an average Indian restaurant but in the night the service let it down. If you would like me to identify the rude waitress in question I would be happy to.

Good food and wonderful cocktails!

Friendly and attentive staff. Made to feel welcome as soon as we entered. The waiter was very helpful and explained the menu to us. Starters were delicious and came out quick. The mains were delicious and well presented. All in all it was an excellent dining experience. I only took one picture and that was if the colourful crisps we had for our starter.

Food is lovely and accommodated as per our taste. The staff members were also good and provided professional service. We loved the whole place. I would definitely encourage all Indian people to visit this place.

As an Indian the food isn’t authentic as there’s not much spices and the quantity and quality was quite disappointing for the price (or maybe I was expecting a lot). The staff was really good and helpful since they offered to change the dishes and provide another fresh ones. Overall the food wasn’t satisfactory at all as an Indian, it was overly priced as well but the service was really good.

Served by the wonderful Princilla and co, we were treated to a fragrant and tasty birianis. The dish was in pricier end of the menu (compared to biriani huts in London), but you get plenty of it, and plenty of meat. The setting was equally for a tiffin restaurant.

Staters good, mains was ok. Service by the young lady very poor, made our evening unpleasant. few drop of water fell on platter while filling glass, when waitress was clearing table she made comments on that, and pulling 😳. But when she cleared plates and cutlery, rice dropped on my sons lap, that was OK 👍 no apology .

I had been today evening to ITR. I ordered a ITR Mysore Masala Dosa. The chutney, sambar and potato masala inside Dosa all were OLD. It tasted like contaminated food. Very disappointed with the QUALITY of the food. I would NOT RECOMMEND ITR for Quality Indian Food.

First time to the Tiffin room and I really enjoyed it, the food was great, we went early in the day so it was a little quiet (which is how I like it) 😁

The Staff and food was amazing 🤩. The Dhal makhini was delicious so definitely try that and the mocktails were fantastic . Definitely recommend it !😮‍💨

Food was very average. Not very flavoursome which is a shame as they have quite a few curries I've not seen before. They don't do Tiffin boxes, like other restaurants do, which is bizarre given the name. Service was efficient and friendly.

A couple of weeks back, my partner and I visited Indian Tiffin Room. We loved everything about it. The Idli was smooth and matched very well with the spicy chutneys. The Uzhunnu Vada was simply crispy and spicy. The Rava Dosa, though, was a special dish in terms of its crispiness and savory flavor—it had a great texture to relish. We simply loved the Dahi Puri as it had a perfect mix of sweet, tangy, and spicy flavors. The Mango Lassi was a perfect refreshing drink with our meal. Kudos to Suneesh for his excellent service; his hospitality added much to our experience. We can't wait to return!

Do not let the external work and scaffolding put you off from visiting the Tiffin Room. The staff are amazing and the food is even better. Lots of many flavours to enjoy , all six of our party loved every starter and main we had. 12 starters to share and each had a different main. All superb. 👍👍👍

Food was delicious. Tasty. Meaty and spicy! Some strange coloured tubes arrived as the start that we ordered. Was looking for popadoms etc but apparently they don’t do these anymore sadly. Atmosphere not as good as we remember but we went on a Wednesday night so not a lot of customers in contributing to this. Overall very nice visit. Staff were polite and knowledgeable.

Even here twice in two weeks - just amazing food- Highway Chicken Tikka, Dhaba Style Chicken- spicy and with heat just great !! Highly recommend

Very expensive Black Lentils 12 or 13 pounds! You have to be rich or comfortable with money to eat here as most if not all the food is expensive. The dessert we got was one quarter container full for £6.25. It's the cost of living and The Indian Tiffin Room is trying to make money where it can. I was going to come to the Restaurant and eat but I go elsewhere. Overrated food and restaurant.

Established in 2013,this Indian Street Food restaurant group opened it’s first place in Cheadle. They have a vast menu, inspired by the bustling streets of India. Everything we tried in the Leeds restaurant was personally selected and recommended by the staff (and because we just couldn’t choose from all of the amazing sounded dishes), was perfection We enjoyed; Gobi Manchurian (£7.25); Cauliflower, wok fried the Indo-Chinese way. This was absolutely delicious. Highway Chicken Tikka NEW (£10.95) Dahi Puri (£5.25); Puffed hollow pastry rounds filled with potato and yogurt. To be eaten whole! Crispy Malabar Fish Fry NEW (£8) Sweet Potato Masala Chips (£4.50) Tanjore Chicken with Kal Dosa (£18); Chicken cooked with legendary chettinad spices. Served with a lentil pancake. Friendly staff, tasty food and good ambience

Booked a meal here for Saturday night , when we arrived on time ,table wasn't ready so we were told to wait in bar area and order drinks .. 3 barman behind bar that didn't acknowledge us in the 15 minutes we waited for the table so no drinks . When we finally got to our table we heard an almighty chanting from a guy on the next table which continued throughout the meal , the party of 14 he was with found this amusing but other diners found this disturbing my party in particular.we asked the waiter for recommendations and he ticked about 8 different starters for us to share not explaining what they were , so we decided to look ourselves we chose 4 mains 2 rice and 2 nan breads , I specifically asked for my dish to be mild which the waiter said wouldn't be a problem.. the food arrived and was served he placed mine down and said this is the mild one ..perfect.. first bite blew my head off he had mixed the dishes up.. on explaining this when they collected our plates and lots of food not eaten especially mine his response was come again tomorrow and I'll make sure you get the right food .. absolutely not .. big chain like this should get it right first time especially for the price .. the bill came to £109 total waste of money never again beware

Delicious food, pushy service and awkward atmosphere. We were sat in front of a noisy ground-mounted AC unit and the toilets were flooded. The waitress upsold more than was appropriate.

Had office party there. Awesome experience. Great food with very good service. Love their Indo Chinese food, reminded me of Kolkata street food. Loved the deserts also. All foods are equally good. Had their pav bhaji previously also via ordering, it was spicy and delicious. And Cocktails are excellent, specially Khatarnak drink. 😂 Planning to visit there soon.

Ambience is amazing. Walking upto our seats, we were visually treated with beautiful decorations plastered around with quality instrumentals played on impressive speaker, not so loud to drown your conversation, yet you could hear tinkers of it. With some catchy slogans pasted across the backs of staff like 'you're the chilly to my paneer' and 'gobi mancunian', the place felt like in touch with the modern times and in sync with its local positioning with the crowd as well as with its roots without protesting too much. Service was fair enough. I felt we reached the venue a bit too early during the day when the kitchens are being fired up and that caused slight delays in getting the dishes but it's more with our timing and not with the service which was impeccable. Staff serving with a smile and not minding that a 4 year old climbed on top of the table was quite heartening to see. Coming to the food, I felt it was mercurial. We had a cocktail (can't remember the name but it was mango flavoured) which was astonishingly delicious, presented in a very unique bulb shaped glass. The Lassi there was quite good too, as evident by me taking 3 servings of that. The starters we ordered were squids and chicken lollipop, both of which were quite delicious. Dahi puri was also sumptuous. We had ordered pav bhaji too which we found to be unnecessarily spicy. On the mains, we had chicken vishaka which was nice and had all kinds of tastes but a real bummer was mysore masala dosa. No zing in the sambhar, coconut chutney was very very fine but tasted bland with no signs of any tempering (tadka) in it (forgive me for my lack of knowledge if any of the 5 southern states of India follow this practice, but I've mostly found coconut chutney with at least cumin and curry leaves tempered in it). We were expecting it to be mind boggling with the south Indian dishes but we're left a little wanting to be honest. Pricing wise, I guess there might be a need to optimize, (again it could be wishful thinking amidst price rises across the country) given 2 and a half people had their meal for almost 100 quids. I personally went with a mindset and with the advices of my peers that since it specialises in south indian dishes, it would be wise to order them instead of many other dishes from other parts of India on the menu (like laal maas, Nalli nihari, etc) but I felt a few things lacking from dosa which is a little hard to ignore.

I got to know from one of my friends and came here after that but after i came here i found their staff very rude plus it was just 1 minute and i asked them can i change the order they were like no you cannot in very rude behavior

Today I had the pleasure of dining at Indian Tiffins and I must say that our experience was greatly enhanced by the exceptional service provided by our Sky Akash and the food was tasty and delicious. Throughout the meal, they were attentive without being intrusive, ensuring our glasses were always full and our needs were met promptly.

We visited on 11/07 as a group of 19 for a corporate dinner. The staff could not have been more attentive both prior and during the meal. A special shout out to Swapnali who looked after us on the evening. The food was fantastic, everyone enjoyed their meal especially the chef's special selection of starters (a brilliant way to try lots of difference menu items!). Thanks again for your wonderful hospitality - highly recommend.

Really different take on Indian street food, we went in blind not sure what to expect but we left so satisfied and happy with the food and service. Give this place a try honestly it's so good
