Das Restaurant ist ein verstecktes, auf den ersten Blick ziemlich unscheinbares Juwel. Ohne einen Hinweis aus dem World Wide Web wären wir sicher nicht darauf gekommen, dass man hier einkehren sollte, wenn man sich in der Umgebung von Tain/Schottland befindet. Im Restaurant hängt an der Wand eine Urkunde: der INVER INN ist bei einem Wettbewerb um die beste Küche der Highlands immerhin bis in die Finalrunde vorgedrungen. Ich hatte einen Fish Pie, der sensationell lecker schmeckte.

Found the place completely by accident, great food, good selection of beers and very friendly service, would certainly visit again if in the area. Thanks all for your friendly hospitality.

This unassuming bar used to be a hidden gem for very good food and convivial company. Now, it seems that their business model has changed and appears to be aimed at passing trade who've veered off the North Coast 500 in their Lamborginis and Bentleys. The menu is almost exclusively seafood and although undoubtedly beautifully prepared, the prices are simply eye-watering. We also had quite the most awful tasting coffee I've ever had. They need to do much, much more to justify the prices they're charging.

Very welcoming and helpful staff…menu was excellent and food well presented….fish pie was superb with lots of fish and prawns! Cannot recommend the restaurant highly enough….Please visit if you are in the area…would recommend that you book!

Food was absolutely delicious! I had the baked camembert for starter then the fajitas for my main. Staff were friendly and helpful too ☺️

We're spoilt for choice for good food up here but the Inver Inn is the quintessential local pub serving good food in a lovely atmosphere will friendly customer service. There's not a huge selection of veggie friendly options but it's one of those places that do a few things well rather than a huge menu of basic food. They even offer a meal for dogs. Their takeaway pizza is always a favourite go to on the way home - delicious!

Very good restaurant that is always worth a visit. I was here with my wife and daughter. The staff is extremely helpful and child-friendly.

Last minute decision to visit whilst staying nearby in Invergordon. Called and checked availability last minute which they accomodated. Welcome arrival, great atmosphere. Nice and cosy inside. Food was spot on. Boyfriend claims it was his best meal of the holiday so big thumbs up from us

Can't recommend this restaurant enough, the effort put into the food was second to none and tasted delicious. Far more complex than what you'd expect from pub food and at a very fair price.

We really really loved it. The food was delicious and parking was no problem at all! If you go there, get the Mac & Cheese. It's fantastic and is served with fries???! Absolutely perfect! For my vegan friend were some vegan options available, that was another good thing about the restaurant.

Cozy nice Pub in Inver right in front of the Inver Bay. I had a wonderful seat next to the crackling fireplace. The food was outstanding! Service was very kind and helpful. I've really enjoyed it and would definitely come back when I am around the corner again. Big thumbs up for this place!

Quiet Friday lunch for four at the Inver. Great portions of Scampi and Haddock, tons of handcut chips and a fully loaded Gluten Free pepperoni pizza. Great service, great value and delicious.

I have been here a couple of times such an amazing atmosphere, coal fire very cozy and homely. Food is stunning price is very reasonable. Staff are lovely and they also have a great selection of gluten free options.

Had a lovely meal and a few drinks here last night,also could park campervan in the carpark for the night, mackerel pate was scrumptious and the Inverness burger 🍔 so filling and tasty as was my partner's haddock, chips and peas done in garlic butter, summer menu probably even better with sea food

We stumbled across this lovely Inn on our travels. So glad we stopped here, the ladies in the bar are so friendly and welcoming and had a great recommendation for a good pint and have vodka cocktails on tap. This is a must visit. Thank you ladies you made our stop worth while.

Everything a pub and restaurant should be! A welcoming and friendly atmosphere, fantastic food and drinks, great service and to top it off a fire to keep you warm. Simply a must visit when in the area! Dogs welcome also

We had a great lunch here, the food was superb - fish cakes for me and my partner had a spicy beanburger and we shared a portion of loaded fries- bacon topped, melted cheese and maple syrup- gorgeous! The portion size on the fries is very generous, definitely one to share. Service was quick and friendly even though they had just seated a large party of 14 just as we went in. They are happy either dogs in the bar area there were 4 including ours when we were there. Cost 46 for three plates and a couple of drinks. Not cheap but very good quality, so worth it in my opinion.

First visit to this place and was pleasantly surprised how good it was. I had a cracking pint of belhaven black at the bar first then headed through to the restaurant. Wife got the sizzling fajitas and I got half lobster, both meals were great and the surroundings were cozy with excellent friendly staff, well done! Thanks for a great night.

Lovely local pub with fantastic staff. They were all very friendly and chatty. They have a great selection of beers and wines. The foot was excellent and very large portions. There was a great atmosphere in the bar. We would definitely recommend.

Visited relatives that live in the village - Don (Hegie) and Ann. After a long drive up from Liverpool we had some amazing fish and chips as a takeaway. Later on in the holiday we dined in, absolutely amazing food (vary varied as well) and the staff were delightful. We wish the inver inn all the best and will be back next year. Visited again (2022) same rating - Best food and service of the holiday. I see an award coming for the place!

Friendly service and good range on the menu. Had the loaded fries which were amazing, all tasted fresh. We were a party of 4 and everyone really enjoyed their meal, a lovely little restaurant that I would recommend if you are in the area.

A solid 3 star family pub with really tasty food. In a sweet little fishing village on the shore of the Dornoch Firth. Friendly, efficient staff. A rather bland building but who cares when the food is great.

Stopped for lunch today and had the "Fish tea". I had the Scampi version, and my wife had the Fish version. The seafood was so fresh. It was absolutely brilliant, and such good value for money. Staff were great and good atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Great meals and great service from the staff and very comfortable with everything but maybe could put a a steak on the menu as that was the only thing that was missing off it.

We had a really enjoyable family lunch, the seafood was very fresh, all of our meals were well seasoned. We ordered the aubergine soup of the day, scampi and chips, haddock and chips, the inver burger, and the sea bass special. The chips were crispy and clearly home made which always improves a meal in my mind. The presentation was lovely too. I think if anything I would've kept the scampi separate from the chips (but that's just my view) the plate still looked good and I loved how the tartar sauce was in an oyster shell. The atmosphere in the lounge was great, very homely and comfortable. Overall highly recommend, we will definitely be back as the food was so tasty and very reasonably priced!

Popped in to the Inver Inn for the first time last week as a pit stop after a long day out. We were pleasantly surprised to find vegan pizza on the menu. So of course we ordered two and they were very cheesy and delicious. Nice chill atmosphere, quick service, reasonable prices. Will definitely be back for another meal soon!

We had a warm welcome and enjoyed fantastic food….. we were there for lunch and chose the Inver burger from the menu and fish chips and curry sauce from the specials board, which were excellent and a great twist on an old favourite…… 5 stars for meal, service and going that extra mile to make our little Jack Russell feel at home too.

Visited for lunch and dinner. Welcoming staff excellent service and a varied menu that will not disappoint the most discerning customer. Very tasty food at a good price. Doggies are also catered for with there own meals :) We will certainly return when we are in the local area. Highly recommended.

OMG Even if u aren't staying near inver , stop what you are doing and take time to go and have a meal there I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Food was amazing staff were very helpful Chef even came out to speak to guests. Give to a try .

As a family of 7 adults a two year old an 8 weeks old and a working cocker spaniel our experience here was exemplary, the staff couldn’t do enough for us, the food was absolutely excellent and even Rory(dog) had a dog meal something we have never experienced. We would highly recommend The Inver Inn.

We loved it, the quintessential Highland pub experience with friendly and cheerful hosts and lovely ambience and music. The food was superbly cooked with wonderful local ingredients and huge portions that we couldn't finish. Will definitely be back whenever we're in the area.
