Istanbul Grill in Tameside

I visited here on Saturday to celebrate a birthday. It is a nice place and the food is great.

Visited with my grandson, we both had steak. T- bone and a sirloin. The quality of the meat was good but like so many they just haven’t got the seasoning right. Although to those that are going to say well that’s individual taste. Most individuals I know who like steak like it seasoned pre cooking, adds so much to the flavours it’s a science. I couldn’t taste any seasoning. That said the fresh vegetables were beautifully cooked . My grandson had the cheesecake very nice , The service was good , the decor was was a lot nicer than it seems from the exterior. It’s very clean. Would I visit again. Yes I would,!based on the vegetables they obviously know how, and I know to ask for a pre seasoned steak. So a learning curve. 😊 worth a second visit..

Loads of tables free but you need a booking to eat here and there’s 0 parking.

Been twice within the last few weeks. Both times booked a table, both times no table ready for us. First time I can forgive but the 2nd time is ridiculous. Both times the server said to the manager "where shall I put them?" Both times we were given a time limit for our table, the first time an hour and half, 2nd time an hour and a quarter. Talk about rush you out. They seem keen to cater for large groups but not couples. I felt we was an inconvenience on both visits even though we had booked. On our 2nd visit one of the meals was incorrect, they didn't seem interested. Told our server and she went off but then started greeting a large group of people and didn't bother coming back to us. Eventually one of the chefs came out and insisted our meal was correct but it wasn't. Shame really as the food is quite nice but has put me off going again. Not exactly a warm welcome and plenty of other places to go to so won't bother going back.

Beautiful interior, met with friends, had a fantastic time. Excellent food, good choice on the menu, ordered steak which was cooked to perfection. Fantastic customer service. Highly recommend, will definitely go back.

Food was poor, first and last time we will go!

What an experience! Stunning decor, amazing food and our waitress Halime (hope I've spelt it correctly) and proprietor Michelle were were so warm and welcoming. Couldn't have asked for more. Highly recommended 👌

Great food and staff can't do enough for you

I ordered chicken and mushroom alla cream, and lamb chops. Chicken was so dry, hard to chew, plain. Not recommended this dish. Lamb chops gummy without any taste. Very disappointed as a Turkish and Mediterranean restaurant poor menu, nothing really to do with Turkish and Mediterranean food.

Visited for a family meal, the food was lovely definitely recommend if your looking for somewhere to eat, loved the large selection of steaks, Best steak house in tameside,

The pita bread on the Iskender was missing and came only on request. The lamb doner had a neutral taste and seemed to be low quality.

Been a few times and I have always had a great night , food is great , atmosphere is top notch , I will not hesitate to go again

Great service, great food , very impressed . No parking sadly but parked at Morrisons and walked over (2 minute walk). Very quiet due to being a Tuesday evening and was between 1700 and 1830 . One other couple arrived whilst we were there but weather was shocking to be fair . I had 2 courses for £17.50 and a drink which came to just £20 . And my friend had a mixed grill which looked great and apparently tasted really good for £22.50 .

Came here to celebrate my Sons 18th we had the best night great atmosphere the food is delicious & the staff are amazing they can’t do enough for you the Turkish belly dancer was fab!!!

Worst/less cooked food i ever had in any Turkish restaurants. Less food varieties. But staff and restaurant are cool. Braza in Bolton is one of my favourite.

This restaurant is not as nice as the Cheadle restaurant. This is a lot smaller, very loud so if you are looking for a quiet, romantic place to eat, this is not it. However, the food was good and did not disappoint, and the Turkish coffee was fantastic.

I love La Salsa, it's a beautiful spacious place, your not sat too close to people which I dislike.. food lovely 😍 staff very friendly, love Mehmet x worth a try they have a reasonable priced Tapas menu with 72 dishes to choose from and now offerering chicken n beef sizzlers, burgers etc etc 🍔 My favourite restaurant worth a visit 10/10 ☆☆☆☆

I visited the restaurant around 20:00 on 18/11/23 and placed an order of £27…..We received our order and when we got home we noticed that four drinks , one packet of chips and dinner kebab were missing. This is not the first time it has happened. I could not go back to the restaurant because we leave far. I visited the restaurant with my receipts and the chef gave us the missing items. It’s better to properly check your order before leaving the restaurant, to avoid disappointment. See replacements on the pic.

Top restaurant with excellent service and food. I had the veggie sizzler and my wife had Lamb. It was less than £40 and worth every penny.

Highly recommended, really can't praise the whole experience highly enough. Food and portion sizes were excellent (falafel and meat moussaka), reasonably priced, relaxed and friendly atmosphere with attentive staff. I'll definitely be going back.

Booked a table for a family meal. The food was amazing, the portions were very generous and excellent value for money. The waitress overheard it was my wife's birthday, she went out of her way to bring a cake with candles to the table and the staff sang happy birthday to her. It's always a great experience at this restaurant, I always highly recommend to family and friends.

Went on saturday night for a family birthday meal, and couldnt rate this place enough. From start to finish was brilliant. And food was stunning. Will definitely be going back

Grim, deafening noise very hot our party was crammed in like sardines you couldn't move your arms and legs, food bland, mediocre and tasteless, got ripped off by £2 when it came to settle the bill. Grim

What a change. Our previous visit was just average. However we booked early evening to avoid any potential rush and it paid off. The food was tasty, succulent, cooked very nice, hot and plenty of it. Sometimes you have a kebab and it's over cooked and dry, this wasn't. In fact it was spot on 👌. Service was fine, a little too many times coming over. A welcome improvement.

I went there for a meal with my son. No parking, except on side streets. Entrance for all people. Shown to a table. Presented with a menu, food was hot, staff were friendly and efficient. Food was very good. Children were having a birthday meal. Will go there again, already done with a friend.

Nice selection of food on the menu which was all really tasty and cooked well. We were celebrating a birthday and the staff helped us celebrate being really really friendly and accommodating. Despite being busy there was no rushing us out; they were happy for us to take our time. Would definitely visit again.

Went on a Sunday lunchtime. Served quickly and the food arrived quickly too. Nice food and the lunchtime offers are very reasonable. Had read some negative reviews on here but they have made the necessary changes as I'd recommend this restaurant.

Visited for the second time tonight for my dads birthday. What a night! The food is outstanding, the staff are attentive, the atmosphere is great. If you want good food and a good time here is the place to go. They went above and beyond and got the whole (full!) restaurant to sing happy birthday to a Turkish song for my dad with a cake and everything. Honestly the best birthday meal we've had out as a family and there is 8 of us so we've been to a few places over the years! Definitely be back! Thank you again for your hospitality and amazing food!

Ok but not great. I’d heard such good things about this place but to be honest was disappointed. The food looked good but the tastes didn’t live up to what the eyes expected. We came as a team meal from work and the day after a few people said they felt ill. I had the mixed grill and the meatball tasted awful. Not sure what was in it but I didn’t even manage one bite. The doner was cut far too thick and the chicken looked and tasted pre- made. Overall it wasn’t what I was expecting and won’t return again, although some of our team said they enjoyed theirs. Probably worth a try if you like this kind of thing. I

Part of a large party which required a pre order, where some starters did not arrive. Food quality poor for price, temperature of food not hot as served on very cold plates. Service unorganised.

Food wasn't great. We preordered from the menu for our Xmas team night out. The food came out which was interesting as this is a Turkish resturant. The menu had Mexican and other cultured foods on it. I ordered a mix kebab which wasn't very hot and the donner meat look undercooked. Lamb shank was ordered which had a Tomateo sauce on it. Sizzler ordered and it was a Mexican dish rather than a traditional Turkish dish. Very disappointing. However Service good and atmosphere was good with a dancer. Shame

Booked a family meal for Christmas, standard menu, staff were very helpful and offered great customer service, very attentive to all our needs, 10 adults and 7 children, all looked after, well done guys !!

Parking is difficult, the restaurant doesn't have a car park. The food here is very good if a bit more expensive than other local places.. We paid almost £60 including tip for 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 soft drinks. Waiter was very helpful and polite and it was very clean. I have been a few times since it opened and will visit again as a treat.

We had a fantastic Saturday night! Celebrating our daughters 18th. Fantastic atmosphere, with a belly dancer and disco. All Credit to the team at Istanbul grill. Nothing was too much trouble, they even played the Happy Happy birthday song. Food was nice, bit expensive but isn't everything in 2022. Brilliant memories, thank you.

Used to love this place, just not the same. Food I could get at a half decent pub for half the price. Very rushed, felt like we were in the way being there. It was empty (not the restaurants fault) But used to be a great night on a Saturday, with the dancer and music, as I say just not the same as it was

Amazing food. Two of us had the lamb chops & one had the chicken skewers. Extremely tasty, good portions & well presented. Very nice staff. Desserts were good too. Cheesecake and profiteroles.

Me and wife had our anniversary meal here tonight. I had the best steak I've ever had, the muscles and calamari were excellent. The service from the staff was very fast and polite. My wife ordered a cocktail and it was made to perfection in minutes. Absolutely top class experience. We will definitely be coming back here soon. Thank you.

Second time at the Istanbul Grill and it was a delightful experience. We went on a quiet Monday evening and the experience was much more comfortable that the hustle and bustle of a Friday/Saturday. Our party all enjoyed their food, the seabass, the seafood pizza and lamb dishes were really nice. Service was a quick and waiting times were little. All in all a lovely visit. Will be back again in no time.

We went for a friend's birthday, had such a good night we went back a few weeks later. Fantastic food, great entertainment. Drinks are a bit pricey but that's probably the Yorkshire in me. Brilliant, you'll love it. Won't let me put video on 😅

Ther were 7 of us and we all enjoyed our meals the sizzler tasted the best. The mixed grill was large and the kofta was wonderful.good meal had by all .

Made us feel welcome as soon as we stepped inside. The atmosphere was calm with romantic relaxing music. 🎶 First we ordered the drinks which were amazing 😍. Then looking at the menue we could not decide, so many temptations. We asked the waitress and she recommended the sizzlers. The Food arrived on a sizzling plate and steaming what a show, great for an insta story😉. Food was beautifully presented and delicious. I am a picky eater and let me tell you there was nothing to complain about. Something that stood out for me is when I used my napkin, one of the waiter came and gave me another one 👌. That there is 1st class customer service. Usually at other restaurants you have to ask for another😒. All the reviews here won’t tell the whole story come and try the shoes yourself👏 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ five stars from me

Food was mediocre again on my third visit, much better Turkish food places in Manchester but I still enjoyed it and the staff were great.

Great food which was served by friendly and attentive waiters. It was clean and well presented and nothing was too much trouble. Massive thank you for the cake with the firework and the music for the member of the party who was celebrating her birthday.

Not suitable for vegans/vegetarians if you want to experience the taste of Istanbul. A little overpriced as well!

Absolutely stunning venue me and my partner's first visit and wasn't disappointed at all. Food was amazing! The staff are an asset too the venue also can't wait for our next visit.
