Istanbul Kebab House Take Away in Forest Heath

Just received our order through just eat, ordered 2 kebab wraps and a portion of chips. Both wraps were cold to the point where as one had chicken we didn't dsrr eat it. When trying to process a refund through just eat I was given £4 when my order was £25

I've been ordering takeaways from here for 15 years, and I don't think I've ever had a problem. Maaaaybe they've forgotten a sauce or something but it's rare. The food is always delicious. The pizzas are great and super fresh. The chicken shish is succulent and well marinated. Chips are never soggy. I recommend the Halep as something a bit different: doner meat in a Spiced tomato sauce. The menu has everything you'd need from a good takeaway, and the staff are always friendly and happy to help. Highly recommended ☺️

Order chicken shish and onions rings was very bad

I ordered nearly £50 of food and when I received my order it was cold and it also had a daddy long legs cooked into the bun

Wow! This has been the first doner kebab that included actual hot chilies! Thank you so much! It was more than twice of what I could eat, fresh and crisp lettuce, cucumber and other greens, well cooked lamb, tasty rice. Definitely a treat!

Whilst I did enjoy my meal I was disappointed to have the wrong sauce on it . I had ordered garlic mayo but ended up with chilli sauce hopefully will be right next time.

kebabs we're cooked to perfection .salad all fresh and chilli fresh .love the garlic sauce . pizza was freshly made .we have the meat feast .food was piping hot when I collected.staff are so friendly .Charlie made sure I had my order . will be definitely be back in again.btop quality food .

Excellent service from the delivery driver large portions of food had the chefs special kebab would of been able too share as was huge. Very delicious and arrived in excellent packaging and hot only thing i would of preferred was it less liquid/juice with the meat was delivered to a remote location with ease.

Delivered earlier than expected and was great!

The food quality was faultless, but, the quantity was a long way short of what I expected. Advertised as a family size there should have been at least half again of what we received... especially considering the cost! At nearly £40 once delivery and service charge was added... value for money it was not!

I really wanted to fall in love for my first visit but the gyro flavor was not....not. I'll give another try for the kebob itself, not the gyro. Customer service was stellar! Look at how this takeaway was packaged

Decent food, got sauce/salad choices correct. delivery driver listened to the delivery instructions. I asked for food ASAP and came much earlier than quoted. Standard soggy pitta with the kebab but i didn’t ask for it separate.

I had the Chefs Special Kebab. A mix of chicken and lamb with soft fluffy pitta bread and a crisp delicious salad. The kebab was covered in a fantastic tomatoe sauce. Completely gorgeous and I very much recommend this establishment

I moved here in Oct and LOVED this place, ate it like 8 times that month as I waited for my furniture. The food had actual flavor, good amount of food, and always tasted great. I don’t know what changed over the new year but it is so bad now. I’ve tried it three times since January thinking maybe they just had a bad night. No. Food has been horrible each time. Lukewarm, skimpy on the meat, and no flavor at all. I’m so disappointed. I really thought I found my spot.

Absolutely terrible service. Ordered dinner which turned up wrong, after asking for the dinner to be rectified they would only send out the one dish, the chips where meant to go with that part of the meal so they where cold, and we wanted to eat together, after calling them and saying it was wrong, they told us “just to have the kebab not a wrap” If I wanted a wrap I would have ordered one, so cold dinner late other part of the dinner , manager was absolutely rude and arrogant, really hope they sort themselves out otherwise will lose a regular customer

They have always been great in the past but tonight it was late, the bread was stale, and the amount of meat in the kebab was tiny- really disappointed.

Both me & my partner ordered exactly the same time,yet she got her order,but I had to call them after over an hour to ask where my order was!

Ordered food. Took hour for delivery. Had stuff missing took another hour to re deliver and food came cold.

After 1 and a 1/2 hours of waiting order hasn't arrived told sorry we are busy asked for partial refund at least got told to cancel order and phone put down on me

Normally is so good from here! Tonight was probably worst kebab I’ve ever had! Really disappointed especially after a few shandy’s you can imagine I was really looking forward to my kebab!

Something has changed, as food used to be excellent. 3 x large special chicken kebabs, arrived late, boxes crushed flat, food cold and less than generous portion sizes. It’s a shame as this is the second time I’ve not had great food from here. As I said food used to be excellent with generous portion sizes…

If I could leave negative stars I would… absolute bunch of crooks ordered a very very large order and agreed a price when delivered was informed a much higher price. Order was then completely incorrect. When rung to complain and request a partial refund or correction for the error was hung up numerous times before having 2 workers I believe one being the boss arrive at my residence (seemingly to intimidate a young female) to have words eventually got a very small refund for their mistake. No apology. Will never ever use again!

My chefs special kebab smelt of Parmesan cheese!! Totally disgusting!! I have been having chef specials for over 10 years and there was something seriously wrong with this one. I’m just hoping the food wasn’t off as I did eat a few mouth fulls before throwing it in the bin. Really bad has put me off for a long time.

Disappointed. Use to be the best kebab in the area. Orderd alot with great food in the past but seems like there cutting costs, chicken was watery, hardly any cheese on chips and was cold.

Food arrived on time but the chicken wrap had no sauce and was really mushy. The kebab was soggy and the garlic mushrooms had so much oil it leaked through the tinfoil tray somehow. No food got eaten past the first 2-3 bites.

Good delivery, earlier than expected. Portion size leaves a lot to be desired. Large portion of chips was a regular portion in my opinion. Large Chicken Shish was also underwhelming for 11 quid. Kebab was hot and flavoursome.

They have changed their chicken as this time it came cold, chewy, and unappetising. The chips tasted like refried and the pitta bread wasn’t fresh, shame as previously the food was of better quality, won’t be ordering here again in the near future

Twice in a row my order has been wrong , the first time I called and they were able to fix it but the second I only realised in the morning the next day as I was very tired after work the night I ordered and didn’t realise something was missing , so it’s probably too late to contact them and receive my item

Should rename to “Istanbul kebab house that will always forget your drinks” Third order now you’ve forgotten my drinks. I have let it go but last time the driver promised to bring it to me and didn’t bother. This adds up to nearly £10 worth of drinks cans/bottles that haven’t been delivered. Ordered last night and again no drinks.

On time for collection however items missing from order. Rang restaurant to rectify and 45 minutes later missing items still haven’t arrived. Rest of the food now stone cold.

We order delivery of the Kebab Feast once in a while, and it's such a good deal. It's delicious, and even with three adults, the leftovers provided another 3 or 4 meals.

I decided to give them one more try. Contrary to their claims on my previous review, the price of the halloumi had not changed, and I received no refund for the halloumi this time OR for last time. They also did not listen to my requests to keep the halloumi plain, and supplied a salad with it, tainting the taste of the cheese. I believe I will be taking another, much longer, break from ordering from here.

I've ordered a lot of Istanbul over the years. But I'm gonna take a long break from them now. A huge price shoot up, nearly doubling my usual order price, and burning my and my wife's food means I'm waiting to order from Istanbul until the price drops and the food is better cooked.
