Great food, friendly staff and very accommodating for a last minute reservation of 8. The Carbonara was fantastic and creamy.

Albeit they were busy that evening, took too long to appear with food, plus particular requirements on how we ordered our steaks, were not met.

Food way late but in fairness we were a big party and it was Christmas. Staff were apologetic and gave us a discount. Good vibe, decent menu. Under the circs food was quite nice. Would go again.

Lovely place and staff amazing, what let this place down was staff tipping, 10% is automatically added to your bill, after I asked the waiting on staff if they get the full tips I was informed they don’t, they get paid an extra £1 per hour that they work, therefore to get a £10 tip they have to work 10 hours!! I told the member of staff to remove the tip and I gave them £10 cash, I found this totally disgusting, shame on the owners, for this reason I won’t return

One of the worst places for your Christmas meal. On arrival i tried to order drinks for myself and a colleague, but was refused saying we cant have a drink until we had been seated. One of our groups cheese deserts was frozen and send back (why would cheese be frozen) and no toasted bread with the starters as advertised with on all. The mains service didn't get any better. 17 mains served however 15 minutes later and asking twice no seasonal vedge so we all started before the meat went cold. Season vedge came after everyone had finished and each type of vedge served 5 minutes apart. Staff said it was our fault as we had eaten our mains in 2 minutes. Rude. For a first time visitor, safe to say I would never reccomend or go back.

Nice place with good atmosphere but not the greatest for a bottomless brunch. The food is nice enough, but there’s not much of it, and drinks are served so slowly it hardly classifies as bottomless. 4 cocktails in 1½ hours they managed and it’s a very limited choice of drinks too.

Visited last night with my friend. We went for the pizza deal, was very tasty. Service was outstanding, especially Isma who made the whole experience enjoyable.

Awful service. Booked for the Christmas menu was told we should have preordered online: was offered the a la carte. Everything was cold and tasteless. Never again.

Appalling in every sense of the word. Booked online for the Xmas menu for our company meal which has No mention of pre ordering. Turned up to be told no Xmas menu.... Ordering was a mess, missed some of our orders. Food turned up lots of it was cold, small, bad value. Got a calzone for main had some cold cheese, one piece of ham and two pieces of pepperoni. Was basically all bread. Never coming here again. Shocking. The management's attitude stinks. No sorry about the xmas menu. Just poor all around.

Enjoyed a lovely night at Italiana 55, booked for the Bottomless Brunch for 4. Our waitress Isma was friendly, professional and made sure we were not sat waiting for drink top ups. This is our second visit and we look forward to visiting again in the future! Thank you for a lovely evening.

I recently visited this Italian restaurant for a birthday celebration and it was such a great experience! My pasta was absolutely delicious, with authentic flavors that truly impressed me. Thinking of it makes me instantly crave it. The staff were incredibly kind, making sure we got the attention we needed. It was the ideal setting for a special occasion, and I can't wait to return. Highly recommended!

We visited Italiana for a birthday celebration with a large group of friends. The staff was very friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect. The food was fresh and so delicious. The menu has a variety of great options, many halal options too. The Pollo Alla Milanese was 10/10. The ambiance, great hospitality and welcoming atmosphere made it the perfect spot to celebrate a birthday. Thank you for the excellent service from Silviu, Omar and Italiana team! Celebrated my birthday at Italiana FiftyFive last weekend with a large group of friends. The food, drinks, and service were amazing. The staff, especially Silviu and Omar, were so attentive. We all had a great time and loved the food.

What a shambles! It took 2 tries to get 3 drinks. Starters were ok nothing special. 2 of the main meals were cold, the other was a salad. We needed clean cutlery as we had used what was on the table for starters.1 set of cutlery was brought. We returned the 2 cold meals and 2 side dishes. Eventually our meals arrived minus the side dishes so we had to ask for those and of course cutlery . By the time the side dishes came the mains were eaten. We had to leave before our ordered dessert arrived. Staff were walking round with food oblivious to which table it should go to.On asking for the bill we had to argue to only pay for what we had eaten and not pay the service charge. We were seated upstairs and there were several tables that had issues and food removed.

AVOID THIS RESTAURANT AT ALL COSTS. Absolutely APPALLING service and rude staff. A simple order of three drinks was incorrect THREE TIMES. Every course we had was incorrect. One staff member was looking like she was about to cry as every single table being served had an issue with their order. We had to leave without dessert as every single thing had an issue with it which meaning we were delayed leaving the restaurant and we had a show to get to. The staff had the worst attitude I've ever experienced at a restaurant especially the girl with the long hair worn down. None of them had a clue which meal went to which table and the best thing was they tried to charge us a service charge. I can't see this establishment being there much longer. -3/10 experience.

I ate here with a colleague this week. We were both happy with our food. The thing that really stood out was the exceptional service from Dana. It’s the kind of service that I normally only experience at high end restaurants – getting the balance perfectly between being warm and attentive vs over friendly and feeling rushed.

You can taste the care put into each bite, like Nonna herself was back there in the kitchen. Perfectly cooked, sauces were rich but not overwhelming. Bravo! Pizza: Solid choice. It won’t exactly have you dreaming about Naples, but the crust was crisp, toppings fresh, and overall a satisfying experience. No complaints. Beef Ribs: Oh, the beef ribs. Marvelous! Tender, juicy, and packed with flavor—this was the unexpected highlight of the meal. An absolute must-try if you're a carnivore. The ambiance is cozy enough, but let’s be honest, you’re here for the food. Service was decent, though you might have to do a little flag-waving for attention during peak hours. Pricing? Not budget-friendly, but worth the splurge for a good meal. In short: come for the pasta, stay for the beef ribs, and save room for pizza. You'll leave happy and probably planning your next visit.

I had an amazing experience at this Italian restaurant in Manchester. The calamari was incredibly crispy and flavorful, and both the risotto and pizza tasted so authentic and delicious – the best Italian dishes I’ve had in the city! I’d rate it as the top Italian spot in Manchester. Our server, Dana, made the evening even more enjoyable with her warm service and attention to detail, frequently checking if we were happy with our food. She truly made us feel valued. Highly recommend!

Great food, tasty for vegans and non vegans. Also if you’re looking for a pizza place which is truly for people who are gluten intolerant and coeliac then this is it, dishes are cooked separately, both pasta and pizza. Dana made us feel at ease during our meal and was very welcoming, we had a great meal, thank you! 👌

Terrible. Been before and was ok. Drinks were flowing and staff friendly. Waitress today was rude, abrupt and aggressive. Had to ask for welcome drink twice. Food was just ok. Told you have 2 hour sitting. But told couldn’t order drinks after 80 minutes. Asked if we could order 2 then and was told no. Wouldn’t go back!

OK if you just need food to soak up or.line stomach.... not appropriate for a date night that's for sure

An amazing experience from start to finish. We were greeted and seated very quickly, provided excellent service by our hostess Dana (who provided the full Italian experience complete with Italian dialect), and provided with outstanding food.

I dined here with a friend. Service was excellent from the start. Our host, Dana, was welcoming and friendly and gave us suggestions based on our taste. The food was beautifully presented and came out of the kitchen promptly. My friend has seafood dishes to start and for main, which she thoroughly enjoyed. I had arancini and a rigatoni dish, both tasty and filling.

I visited this restaurant 2-3 weeks ago with my boyfriend for a date night, traveling all the way from Nottingham to Manchester (we were spending the weekend there but pre-booked this restaurant), and was really excited to try the food. While the meal started off well, I was shocked to find a long metal pin in my pâté starter. It could have seriously hurt me had I not noticed it. When I pointed it out to the manager, her response was underwhelming. She apologized and removed the starter from the bill, but that was it. There was no urgency, no follow-up to let us know how the situation was being handled, or any reassurance that this wouldn’t happen again. It felt like finding a metal pin in food was no big deal to her. We were quite disturbed and lost our appetite, leaving before finishing our meal or staying for drinks as planned. We asked if anything more could be done, like a discount off the bill, but she refused, saying removing the starter was enough but may be she can remove the service fee. Given the seriousness of the issue, we expected a more considerate response. Overall, while the food was nice, the handling of such a safety concern left us disappointed, and it definitely put a damper on what was supposed to be a special evening. I’m not trying to be overly critical, but finding a metal object in food should have been treated with more care and seriousness.

Visited here for my sons 21st on Saturday. Service was absolutely awful. We had pre-ordered our food days in advance for it all to come out at different times. The mains came and were all wrong then was taken back and correct ones brought back out. Some weren’t even warm when they brought it back. When the bill arrived they had put on a 10% tip which was asked to be taken straight off plus a further 10%. Won’t be eating here ever again!!

Average at best, I came here on a Saturday night for my anniversary dinner. I saw it had very good reviews, and had a great vegan menu for my partner. The queue was out the door when we had arrived but we had a booking and were seated within 10 minutes. We were seated in probably the worst place in the whole restaurant, (on the elevated floor by the door) away from everything at the bottom of what felt like the alleyway of the restaurant floor, no passing waiters so it took ages to actually get some service when you wanted it. Really didn't make it feel like a nice place to be, and just added to the time we had to wait for service. The food was served without much of a wait which was good, I had the arrabiata and my partner had the vegan lasagne. The arrabiata was ok but really nothing special, I'm no master chef but I could have easily made a tastier dish at home, but the vegan lasagna was quite simply a joke, about 4 slices of aubergine in a cheese/tomato sauce, you could barely get away with serving this as an appetiser in my opinion. Definitely won't be visiting again, sorry.

Visited here for a special occasion which was completely ruined. We contacted the restaurant asking to book a table of 10 as a surprise, the restaurant asked for a pre-order which was fine and said the two who weren’t aware of the surprise could order on the day. When we got the restaurant it took it took over an hour for our starters to arrive. Two arrived at first, then 20 minutes later the rest arrived which meant we were all eating at different times. We asked twice about the starters and were told 4 minutes and asked again and told another 8. (I don’t think they really knew) There was another table next to us of around 8 people who were also complaining as they had waited over an hour for starters too. The waiting staff were lovely but seemed new and lack organisation. We didn’t have one waiter, but instead seemed to have to flag people down as they walked past and nobody checked up on us and they wouldn’t communicate with each other meaning we were asking for things several times before they would be brought. Our mains arrived quickly after our starters and were wrong except one, they took the meals away double checked our order and brought the correct meals out but the rigatoni italia was without chicken, the arabatta was also without chicken - we ate the meals as we were hungry and didn’t want to wait any longer. We also did not have cutlery on our table for our starters or our mains and we asked several times for cutlery for our mains and this took a while for us to be able to begin eating. When they brought the bill, they forgot to take off our £100 deposit and didn’t comp our food until we complained. The manager apologised at the end and said there was on staff member down in the kitchen but the whole team (bar/waiting/kitchen) lacked any organisation or communication.

I am not amazed, however the food was fine. Service was not something to write about. The waitress forgot that we ordered and the redwine was way to warm.

If I could give it zero stars then I would, 1 hour wait for starters then they bring 2 out of 10 then a further 20 minutes wait for the other 8 starters, which was pre orders 48 hours in advance, Had to ask for cutlery 3 times, Mains came 7 out of 10 meals was wrong (I’m convinced these were the table next us as they had been waiting longer) They took all the mains away came back with correct mains again pre ordered 48 hours in advance some were luke warm we think these were the 3 dishes what was correct the first time round. They then brought us complementary shots which we gave to the table next us as by this point they still hadn’t had there mains and had been waiting longer then us. Bill came they hadn’t knocked the £100 deposit off and added a service charge which told them to remove. The whole experience was dreadful we was celebrating my sons 21st and couldn’t wait to get out of there. It’s such a shame as the food was delicious. I will never return.

Waited 2.5 hours for food. No apology and all round terrible service. No idea how they have more stars. Do not bring anyone for an ocasion as it'll be ruined.

Great for a large group of people. The food is nicely presented and tasty. Most of the waiting staff are great, but waited a very long time for the bill.

Great food, kind staff but VERY long food arrival time. It took more than an hour for the main dish to arrive. The kitchens smell is all over the restaurant our clothes are stained with the smell of food.

The food and service were amazing. Definitely would go again for food and drinks.

LEFT BOTTOMLESS BRUNCH SOBER 🚩🚩🚩🚩 If I could leave 0 stars I would. Worst customer service i’ve ever experienced. Waited 55 minutes for a cocktail on a bottomless brunch, one of the waiters stuck their middle finger up at us, absolutely shocked and appalled. Waiters kept making excuses as to why we haven’t received drinks … who comes to a bottomless brunch (1hr 30mins) to have 3 rounds lol. Shambolic will not be returning would not recommend to anyone. Furthermore I had a burger with no patty. Diabolical. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. Birthday brunch for my friend turned into my worst nightmare. Even asked for a birthday plate never received it hour and a half later i’m still waiting lol. Not the person who complains and leaves a bad review but today I just can’t believe it !!!!!! I’m that sober I managed to write this review says a lot lmao

We had a reservation at 19:45 didn’t get seated until 8pm, it was busy and it looked like they were under staffed so we tried to be understanding, they got or order pretty quickly, but then we didn’t get our starters until almost an hour after ordering, and the table seated next to us was a party of 6 and was seated 30 minutes after us, and got their starters the same time us, (we were two), it took another half hour before we got our mains, the food was good, but we did not feel prioritized at all thru the whole night, the waiters checked on us maybe once, and we needed to flag down the waiter if we wanted something, often needing to ask them twice as they had forgotten

The food is delicious, but don't sit in the corner, you will become unlucky. The waiter didn't notice you at all. He just wanted to order a dessert and no one came after waiting for a long time. I asked for water several times but it didn't come. What's going on? Are the three tables in the corner meant to not be served? If so, why not just remove them? You don’t care about people who sit there anyways.

This is the first time I will rate a restaurant two stars. First of all, when I was waiting for a table, I stood at the door together with other people. There was no place for everyone to line up. Everyone waited randomly, and only one employee took note of everyone's order. I asked her when she could enter the restaurant, but she didn’t know. Secondly, I ordered food, but it took 50 minutes for the food to arrive. Even if I ordered two glasses of water, I still had to wait 15 minutes! The focus is on the food. Both pasta and pizza tend to be salty. Since the price is not too expensive, they are both acceptable. At the final checkout, luckily I looked at the receipt and found that two extra drinks were recorded for no reason. However, I didn't actually order them, so I needed to change my order. In summary, you have to wait a long time to eat food that tastes average. You may not go there again next time.

Came here on a Saturday night and a wait was expected. The food was absolutely spectacular. My partner and I ordered the carbonara, pesto pasta, and garlic bread, all of which tasted amazing. Would have given this a five with great wait staff, but the entire time it seemed like they were understaffed. We had to ask about our bar drinks which could have been due to a shortage of bar staff, which is a difficult feat as a restaurant. Overall an amazing experience, and we will be back!

I went with a colleague on Saturday evening, we ate some very good meat, the dishes that passed for other customers were very inviting.

Service was fine. Pizza was not great. Topping didn't taste fresh. Cheese was very greasy. Having said that, nice outside seating area so that's a plus.

I’ve visited twice for the bottomless brunch. Food is good quality but you don’t get a lot of it. Dana served us and the drinks didn’t stop flowing, excellent cocktails and endless Prosecco, very attentive and friendly :)
