Definitivamente regresaremos.

The cafe is located just below Drake's reservoir off North Hill. It has tables within the gardens below the reservoir, as well as indoors and within a small courtyard. We sat out in the sunshine in the garden and had some delicious wraps made with freshly cooked ingredients and some very good iced coffee. The food was made and brought to us quickly so we really enjoyed our lunch and will definitely come again.

I am a wrap addict now. I am in this place at least twice a week. But some weeks more like three or four times. It's just THAT good. It's right on the university campus, so students and staff from the uni might go there, but it's actually open to all as is not part of the uni. It's right next to North Hill too, so that makes it really handy for people toddling into or out of town, to refuel prior to or after a shopping run or socials. It's a relaxed cafe style eatery in an airy hall, with top (but not intrusive) tunes and lovely staff. The main reason I go there so much though is the food. They do crepes and other things too, but the wraps. Wow. The wraps. Freshly made to order mind, so sit with one of their lovely coffees or fruit infused waters whilst you wait, then ENJOY. They do great veggie options, as I sometimes choose, but as an omnivore I find that the meat and fish options are VERY VERY tasty INDEED. Flavourful, juicy, spicy (if you want them to be), and just oozing YUM with every chomp. I can honestly say I did not know wraps could be this tasty. (I mean who knew, right?!) I tend to like to mix up my food choices, rarely going to the same place twice in close succession, to keep things interesting. But this place has changed me. I. Am. An. Addict. Go check them out. Top tip: on a nice day, take your wrap away as there is the fabulous Drake's Place gardens just outside: sun or shade and grass or bench. Ding. Dang. Doo.

At the back of Sherwell United Church next to the Sherwell Centre opening near Portland Square and with a large space inside and when fine weather tables outside some with a view of Drake’s Place Park. Open for three or four months on weekdaytimes using a big hall which at weekends and evenings is available for lots of other things. There is an open commercial sized kitchen and maybe a couple of dozen tables, friendly folk at the counter and although we came in mid morning the place is obviously bustling at lunchtime. They claim best coffee on campus but we had a pot of tea. I had the mushroom and salad falafel which was good and with the tea came to less than £6. It’s a light airy big room, interestingly set up with wooden fronted glazed first floor galleries looking down. I don’t know if we missed it but the lack of music or background noise did make the room feel just a bit late nineteenth century institutional. Would probably come back. They have a fairly upbeat FB page.

Typically great brewdog atmosphere and like normal the bar staff have good music taste. Impressive guest drinks selection, and awesome food menu. Love the buffalo sauce they use here. Really do like the atmosphere. If the drinks were a little cheaper I’d sit and drink for hours.

Came around on a saturday night after my dog got attacked. The manager and security were absolutely incredible. My dog was badly bleeding and they let me wash her out in the bathrooms. After a wash the manager came around with a first aid kit put a compression bandage on her face to stop the bleeding and a saline solution to flush the wounds out, and gave me some more in case. Made it to the emergency vets that congratulated the bandage and how clean the wounds were. I’d like to thank the team so much for everything!

Avoid at all costs. Unpleasant people who have no idea of a community pub. No care in the world other than themselves.

We booked for Sunday lunch at Mayflower Brasserie, and having attended a wedding at the hotel, were looking forward to our lunch. We had duck pate to start and it was lovely, but to be honest you can’t go wrong with a slice of toast, a dollop of pate, a spoonful of onion marmalade and a micro greens garnish. Very tasty. We waited 20 minutes for our main of beef wellington. Unfortunately we both had to send the food back as it was barely warm and not pleasant to eat. Another long wait and new plates arrived. They were warmer than the first but far from hot food. We ate it and it was very tasty. Then came deserts. We ordered apple tart with clotted cream. Unfortunately it came with ice cream instead of clotted cream. As if we needed more cold food! I removed the ice cream and ate the tart. It was delicious but very small. When we paid they had given us our drinks free to compensate for the cold mains, and discounted the price of the tarts to compensate for the serving error. Overall, I am disappointed with my Sunday lunch. Service was exceptional but the food was a let down. Cold, small portions, and not as described on the menu. Even with the discounts our bill was over £100 for the two of us! We went home and had a sausage sandwich as we both still felt hungry. Needless to say, We shan’t go again
