We phoned through a large order at just after 6pm on a Saturday evening.An hour and a half later we telephoned to see how much longer and was told that our order hadn't even been started and would be another hour and a half. The group decided that we would cancel our order and when we told the man on the telephone that his customer service was poor, he laughed at us and then proceeded to ask us to give him a moment while he tried to sort something out for us. We politely told him where he could place our order and will definitely not be using again. The word will be passed around our local community to avoid at all costs. Only given one star in order to post review.

Excellent Meal , food was hot & delicous service was quick and had a free shot of Bailey at the end of the meal.

The chicken Tikka was very watery and tasted like chip shop curry sauce and the paratha was not flaky and fresh, it was very thick and chewy. However the bhajis were decent and the only redeeming quality.

Without doubt ( to me) the best Indian food for 30 miles at least. Best when the boss is in, he is driven for quality. Friendly, good service but most importantly brilliant food. Having eaten in many many similar this rates as one of the best, a blessing for Leominster.

Really nice food, take away doesn't do it justice. Eating in the restaurant with fresh naan and fresh puri is so much better.

We have been using this restaurant for around 20 years and have never had a bad experience, the food and service have always been excellent, we highly recommend this place.

Food was 12 minutes late and decidedly lacking in flavour . Came with poppadoms but the salad for them was in a tied plastic bag which had caused it to go mushy. Also mango chutney and any poppadom sauce was nonexistent. Would definitely avoid

The food was superb, service prompt and efficient, staff extremely helpful and polite, toilets very clean and user friendly. If we didn't live in Kent we'd definitely be back regularly. Judging by the number of diners the locals feel the same. Thanks for a really nice evening 😊

We did a big order on Boxing Day and were very impressed. Every bit of food was delicious and they even through in some free bits. The delivery man greeted us with a big smile and was lovely to talk to. Will definitely order from them again.

We frequently visit this restaurant as a family, living in hereford ourselves there are many Indian restaurants to choose from, but growing up eating Indian food, and knowing what quality is after all this time, unfortunately all the restaurants in hereford fail to deliver time after time. However, the 20 minute drive into Leominster to visit the Jalalabad is worth the drive Every, Single, Time. We visited tonight, and the restaurant was absolutely HEAVING. I must admit, working as a chef for the past 9 years, perhaps, they had put a bit too much on themselves in terms of numbers. But they handled it magnificently. And with approximately 50-60 covers in a very short space of time the quality of the food did not alter whatsoever. A very enjoyable night. And it’s so rare to find a place to eat, to have a night off cooking and have a similar quality to that at home. Interestingly there is a review left for the jalalabad a little over a month ago, it reads … Food is okay (LIE) we have been going here for a while. But suddenly price has gone through the roof (NO IT HASN’T) they don't like card payments anymore (YES THEY DO) and the bill receipt is hand written on paper with not understanding of what is written on it (YES, ITS HAND WRITTEN AND PERFECTLY LEGIBLE) Very strange Unfortunately we will not be coming back (GOOD)!!!. Keep up the fantastic work, and we certainly will be back.

Had a birthday celebration. First time we had been in ages. Enjoyed it.

We did a massive takeaway order for 20 people. Was prepared perfectly, everyone got what they wanted, and were wiping plates clean with extra nan. Great!

Had a take away from there, absolutely awful, never had a raw naan bread before but had my first one here, chicken pakoras were inedible as chicken wasn’t cooked properly, curry was also awful the texture of the chicken was so chewy like it had been there a long time, first and last time going there.

Had the pleasure of getting my second takeaway from this lovely restaurant last week. Have to say it was one of the best Indian/Bangladeshi meals I have ever had in the UK. Service was great, can't wait to come and enjoy a sit down meal here with my family soon!

Never before have I posted such a bad review, I asked if they had the Spicey Monkfish Curry on the menu, and the answer was "Yes" However, when it arrived it had transformed into a Salmon Curry. When I challenged this transformation I was asked "Was I sure" when it was confirmed as Salmon I was then asked "Could I pretend it's Monkfish. This was a completely an unacceptable response. The waiter was rude and offhand. This ruined the evening, and I will now take my custom elsewhere.

Lovely meal, layers of beautiful flavours. I especially loved the intensity of the colours with the flavours, not sure if the colours were accentuated by the lighting, but all together it was an exceptionally good eating experience. The service was exemplary.

We ordered our food at 6.30pm on the website with no real problems. There was a wait time of upto 85mins for delivery, which I did think was a little excessive but we enjoy the food from this restaurant so decided to order. At 8.15pm I rang to chase the order as we hadn't received it. I was told it was not quite ready, and twice the rude man on the phone said we are busy! The food arrived at 8.40pm and we were hugely disappointed. The food was cold, no sauce with the poppadoms and the wrong naan breads. Over a 2hr wait to be disappointed. We were not impressed, the service was appalling, and we will not be ordering from this restaurant again.

I have to say, past experiences of this Indian have always been 5 star. I ordered 1 X meal this evening. The food was OK, but not up to its normal standards. My naab bread seemed soft and not quite cooked. The curry was good as usual, but not exceptional. I've had it before and it has been extremely good, this time not so much. I'm not trying to moan. Usually this Indian, is outstanding. I would recommend this to anyone, providing they kept their usual high standards up.

Use this restaurant a lot as the food is so good. However, Sunday 19th June, it all went horribly wrong. Ordered a takeaway by phone & was told 45 minutes wait. Left home 30 minutes later as it takes 15 minutes to get there. Was told food was "not quite ready". Paid and sat down to wait. I know it was Father's Day and the restaurant was quite full, but then had to wait 1 HOUR for our order! Kept being told that food would soon be ready, but that they were busy & short staffed. Got offered a free drink after 50 minutes of waiting and profuse apologies when food finally arrived. Really guys, just not good enough, if you are that busy AND short-staffed, maybe it would be better to explain the TRUE waiting time when people ring, or just not take orders for takeaway. Food was as good as usual, but this could lose you loyal customers. Hate complaining, but this really needs sorting.

What can I say, ... from the moment I phoned to book a table until we walked out the door we could not have had better service. The 2 waiters taking orders and serving were so friendly and welcoming 🙏. The food was amazing and the apple chutney that is served as part of the pickle and chutney sides was delicious. We eat at Indian restaurants regularly and this one is by far the best. The tandoori salmon was exquisite and the garlic chicken was so tender with fragrant, fresh coriander to compliment and enhance the flavour. We will definitely return when we are back visiting family. 😀 thanks for a wonderful culinary experience ❤

Always good food and great service

Was given a time to pick up order but arrived to find queues and order not ready. Staff not helpful, almost rude. We were told “it will be ready when it’s ready”. People who ordered before us were still waiting when we got ours. Food uninspiring. I notice they only respond to good reviews

People lovely and last year had takeaways a lot which were delicious, the last 3 times I have had a takeaway the korma sauce was watery and the food not up to its usual standard.

Would not recommend. Bad drivers running people over

Very poor service experienced on takeaway on Sat 18 Dec at 7pm. There were 6 persons waiting, all phone orders all informed 45 /60 mins lead time. The reality was an additional 30 mins of waiting in the small area. One person did come and food was given to him within 5 mins! He must have ordered yesterday!! For the staff, it was blunder after blunder, phone ringing - many times unanswered. The waiting customers said its usually like this. Poor show,

Had the pleasure of having a meal on Friday and was absolutely blown away with the place. The service and food was first class. My only regret is that we were only visiting the area and live too far away to make it our regular restaurant. But rest assured when we do come back it will be the first on our list of places to visit

Incredibly impressed with this place - really quick, friendly service. The food was spot on and reasonably priced and best of all the waiter went out of his way to remix our dishes to accommodate my food colouring allergy - never had that anywhere else to such an extent!! So would highly recommend this place - such a shame we live so far away!

Needed a meal that was Gluten friendly, staff were helpful and knowledgeable. The food was nicely spiced and we left full without spending a fortune, also the drinks weren't overpriced. We left sad because it's good restaurant but two hours drive from home - if I get the chance will go back to try other dishes off the menu.

Jalalabad. Well- more like JalalaBAD SERVICE. placed order on the phone, was told food would be ready to collect in one hour. We Arrived perfectly on time as advised, went in and paid for our order. Was asked what car I was in and asked to go wait in the car and food would be brought out. Okay, fair enough. 35 mins later and still no food. Decided to go to the Chinese next door for a portion of chips whilst waiting as got so fed up. Ate the chips in the car whilst waiting. Chips gone. Still no order. Went to ask about status of our order and got zero helpful feedback. Nice. Ten mins later the food came out, with nothing more than a “sorry for the wait”. Definitely never going again. Had I been originally told the food would be two hours, I’d have had no problem. The fact that I was lied to, amongst other customers having the exact same experience at the same time, given no update or apology whilst they knew several customers were outside waiting, was terrible and frankly unacceptable.

Been a few times now , has been good in past but was poor when I went with a friend last week , fairly quiet, took over an hour for our main , food was mediocre, service poor , and to top it off we was overcharged at end of evening... will not be returning... I will be going to the indian in Weobley from now on !!
