This has to be the worst curry i have ever had the meat was hard to swallow and the rice was wet my wife and i have been up all night with a bad stomach .

Best Indian I've had in Hemel Hempstead and very reasonably priced will order again

Always order from Jays Indian Hut. Food is always amazing every time. Would highly recommend the Aloo Gobi my favourite.

Ordered via their website on a Monday. Took payment and said delivery would be ASAP. Called them 90 mins later to be told they’re closed on Monday and will deliver it tomorrow. Told them no, I want a refund not a meal I paid for today, tomorow. The man hung up when I said i wanted a refund. Terrible customer service. Guess I’ll be having to call the bank tomorrow! Would not recommend.

Will never order from here again... Ordered food online directly though the restaurant at 17.46 for delivery at 18.35 phone at 18.45 was told food being packed for delivery and should be with me soon... Phoned again at 19.13 as food still hadn't arrived to a rude and uninterested staff member who's phone manner needs alot of attention too who said it had left 5/6mins ago which i replied you said that 30mins ago and if my food is cold i will be getting my money back to which he hung the phone up. Food finally arrived was lukewarm, chicken korma was undercooked as I had pink chicken which I asked when ordered to be cooked longer than normal, husbands curry all full of oil, Onion Bhaji's undercooked all soggy and dripping with oil. What a waste of £27

Best takeaway curry house in Hemel

Visited to order my take away last night. The staff were polite and friendly and I was given a can of drink whilst I waited for the food to be cooked. It was great being able to watch the cooking. It was ready quite quickly. When I got home, the food was to the top of the containers with plenty of chicken. Very hot (temperature) and the food was delicious. I tried the noodles and they too were delicious despite never having tried anything similar at an Indian restaurant. Vindaloo was nicely spiced and had the taste as I would expect. Some places just make it spicy without much flavour but they know how to cook it here. Will definitely be a returning customer. Keep up the good work!

Ordered at 16.30 for delivery at 18.30. The time now is 20.35 and I’ve still no food. Finally managed to get through to them and he was so rude saying it will be 15 minutes. I have used jays for years but after tonight I will never use them again.

Great food, very good value compared to others too. Tried a couple of new dishes that we haven't had before, were a little disappointed but was still nice. We use Jay's regularly, their chicken tikka is bloody amazing.

Ordered a balti and its was litreally grey in colour and tasted horrible. Could not tell what sort of meat was in it . The poperdoms were stale also

A very tasty chicken korma accompanied by pilau rice some naan too. The food was delivered hot and in time . Have had from here before but not reviewed it as yet . FYI the delivery charge AND food prices are slightly less on Deliveroo than Just eat. !! Was £18 instead of £21 .

When our usual takeaway place was closed we tried Jay’s Indian hut and it was absolutely amazing, we will be using them from now on instead of our usual place. Everything we ordered was amazing and it was delivered pretty quickly as well. Highly recommend

The food is always hot and fresh. They have a good selection and special discounts if you order directly. Never had a bad one, the chicken is cooked properly and not tough. Sides are tasty too and the rice is delicious!

Haven’t eaten from here in years. Read some bad reviews but thought I would give it ago again. Was lovely.

I have always been very complementary on this restaurant since they opened. Yesterday was a mixed bag. Customer service not great. Onion bhajis 2 extremely dry and old and 2 slightly softer but still very disappointing. Tried a different dish though - Pathia chicken - was very nice. The food we got delivered was banging! The chicken was cooked perfectly and full of flavour. The spice levels were spot on. The prawns were of a good size and fresh. The accompaniments were cooked spot on and were great too. It was all mega fresh and me and the hubster were impressed! Will definitely order from here again! - We have since ordered from here numerous times, only once we were "Meh" about it and to be fair anyone can have an off night. Also, if you call them up rather than use the famous ordering app, they will always give you a further discount, lovely bunch in there :)

Would happily order from here again - have several times. Food has never given cause for complaint. Delivery staff was a bit cheeky taking money and running with no option for change.

HORRIBLE Watery curry, 3 small pieces of lamb in £7 Rogan Josh. Bread didn't come. Do not go here.

Food took almost 3 hours to arrive after several reassurances it would be here in ten minutes over and over. Told shortage of delivery drivers and by the sound of it the managers harsh on the only remaining driver who is very polite and clearly filling managers failures. Avoid PS driver from tonight find somewhere better

I'd give no stars if I could, ordered curries for the family at 7:15, was told that it would be delivered at 8:50, our food did not turn up until 10 to which we had gotten food else where as it was getting quite late. Absolutely appalled only one driver one for the whole night! We called the shop multiple times and no answer, we left messages and no one called up back! Would never recommend or order from here again!

It was great when it first opened but now taken over measures a half size why they have to ruin someone that is excellent cheers Paul

Pleasant people but food below average , veg dhansak had an over powering tomatoes purred sugar taste , man was thinking and bland sorry won't order again

I had a takeaway from Jay's Saturday evening. The food was excellent. Nice and hot. Also it was delivered within the hour as stated when ordered. I would use Jay's again and recommend them to my friends.
