Jumbo Express in Leeds

Poor flavorings on each dish" cold food when it arrived was so looking forward to trying new place instead of cooking" I spent a lot of money just for a disappointment. I would not recommend here sorry but no" a very disappointing experience. And wouldn't use here ever again. And been hungry still" even the dog refused to eat the food that's crazy.

Says online that is closes at 11 however tried making an order for delivery at 10:30 and the lady on the phone was rude and the delivery driver said he couldn’t be bothered

Ordered from here again recently. It was still nice, but nowhere near as nice as last time. If I were to guess what was different, this time it tasted like they didn't add MSG to the food. MSG is what makes Chinese takeaway so delicious. Hopefully next time it will have the tasty flavour that we had the first time. The only dish I wouldn't recommend was the wonton soup, it was the blandest wonton soup I've ever tasted, it was like they forgot to add salt at all! Only ordered takeaway from here once but it was absolutely delicious. One of the dishes was too salty but everything else was excellent, excited to order again

First time I've used this Takeaway so am delighted that my Sweet & Sour Chicken meal with fried rice was ready within 10 mins of ordering, delicious & at a very good price. Will be back for sure. Excellent.

I ordered sweet and sour chicken balls and they were delicious. The chicken was tasty and not overcooked like some takeaways I've had recently. What I liked about this dish compared to the same dish in other places, was that the sauce was separate, which meant the batter remained fresh and crisp. I got a generous amount of prawn crackers and for £1 I got chips too. I only tried here because the takeaway I usually go to is over priced now. I prefer Jumbo Express so I will be going here from now on! I also don't understand reviews saying the staff being apparently rude. I think the staff are efficient and probably just not that chatty!

Jumbo express was once absolutely faultless, great food great custom, but somewhere within the last year or 2 both food and custom has greatly declined in quality. Waiting times are ridiculous (and I live a 5/7min drive away, and communication is bad too as it took me around 5 minutes for the woman to understand my postcode even though I said it in phonetics loud and clear. I'm not a karen either, pretty much the opposite, but sometimes a good, polite complaint is needed

Shocking food, even worst service. Having placed an order for delivery, the food arrived far too salty. When informing the shop about this, they simply said we would let the chef know and that they won't be doing anything else about. Avoid this place.

My family used to order from them in the early 2000s, but we switched to another Chinese restaurant/takeaway when they opened up. However, due to increased prices, we stopped going there. Recently, a friend recommended Jumbo Express and we decided to give it another try. The first time we ordered, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. It was better than I had expected. However, the second time we ordered, the food was not up to par. It tasted artificial and fake, which was disappointing. Moreover, I had a negative physical reaction to the food. I was up all night due to the genetically modified organisms (GMOs) in the food, and I felt extremely thirsty from the excessive salt. This experience has made me hesitant to return to Jumbo Express. Overall, my experience with Jumbo Express Takeaway has been mixed. While the food can be decent, there are also significant drawbacks, such as GMOs and excessive salt. While I won't be going back to Jumbo Express, I appreciate the convenience it provides for those looking for a quick Chinese takeaway.

Ordered with friends. Came quickly but food was average. Small portions , the teeny bag of prawn crackers. Not the best but least they deliver

1st time order after years of using silver vase and g wu. Fancied a change. Incredible value for money. Mixed starter yummy. Superb quality beef in the chow mein. KP satay the best we have had. Chilli chicken juicy and v v nice. Generous portions. Will be back.

After 20yrs of using Jumbo I'll never go back , told min payment by card £10 ,they said well charge toy £10 on your card then refund you 50p in cash on collection of order .This didn't happen the story changed once I had paid by card .Could the need for cash be money laundering ?

The best Chinese in Leeds. Food is always piping hot and ready in no time at all. Cannot understand some of the negative reviews they get as we have never had a problem. Best salt n pepper dishes going! Would recommend to everyone.

The food was dire couldn't chew the beef and the rice was cold!!!! also packed out with onions proper overload never again!!!!

Having been regular customers for 25 years we have probably had our last meal from here. Not sure if they are under new management but the food has really gone down hill, the prices have gone up & the lady serving was not customer friendly

This was the first time I ordered from here after great reviews from friends and family. However, the chicken satay were tough, greasy and rock hard - binned. The chicken and cashew nut dish was bland containing few cashew nuts. The other vegetables were peppers, onions, a few bamboo strips and water chesnut. It also contained hard slices of dried out carrot that was black around the edges. Would’ve given zero stars but can’t go wrong with frozen chips and prawn crackers.

Hi I always order my Chinese from this restaurant and In my experience it’s always been amazing. however tonight I had ordered king prawn rice with salt and pepper king prawns just for my mother to choke on a paper like material fried into the food. It was very alarming to say the very least. It’s also very frustrating as I am trying to contact the restaurant and it keeps going to voicemail.

Excellent, reliable takeaway. never had a bad meal and food is always tasty, hot and arrives quickly. I think whoever thought it was disgusting either went to another takeaway or owns another takeaway.

I’ve seen this business’s popularity explode over the past couple of years. I remember coming here on a Saturday in the past and having my food ready in 10 mins. Today I had to wait 30mins after they told me to come and was also sat in a waiting room with 6 other people waiting. The phone was ringing off the hook with orders. It’s really fantastic to see. The food is fantastic. Not one person left angry or annoyed by the wait because we all know how hard this family run business works. They deserve only 5 stars for what they have built. I wish them nothing but more success in future.

Go to chinese. Nice staff, great portions. Freebies. Tasty food. Only down side is delivery timescales are not the best. But still 4* overall.

Best value for money Chinese i have come across, we couldn't believe how much we got for the price - and it was all lovely! Not one thing wasn't enjoyed. After ordering my food for collection and being told it would be ready in 20 minutes. I turned up 25 minutes later just incase... and was told it was coming. 25 minutes later after ordering 50 minutes ago I was told they would start cooking it now. Not good enough. Poor service.

Food not bad & they delivery. U can also pay by card on the phone BUT i asked for 2 soft noodles. 1 with extra onion & the other with no onions but extra beansprouts. The lady on the phone who takes the orders speaks so quickly & over u she doesnt listen. Of course it came wrong!

I’ve ordered from JX a few times and it’s been 3-4 stars, but I ordered from this Takeway and they put gravy sauce on my Chicken chow main and didn’t state it in the description. I rang up an left a compliant the issue wasn’t resolved I’m not ordering from there again !
