This Thursday me and my friend we visited here for a good food, as we live in Forest Gate so eating Nepalese food by visiting Nepalese restaurant is just rare because of tight schedule whole week. When we enter the restaurant ambience was amazing but I wish food and customer service was as amazing as the ambience. It was worst customer service and worst experience I must say. When we were served our food neither any spoons, fork, tissues were provided nor we were asked what we needed. Even I had to go by myself to give a order in counter because after waiting 10-15 minutes no one came and asked us if we are ready with our orders or not! I must say I will never visit this kind of store which has no value for customers.

Food is great value for money. Super tasty, place is cozy.

One of the best Napalnese in London, even better it is reasonably priced. Food with just the right amount of spice without over powering the natural flavor. Super friendly and nice staffs.

Good food but did not feel welcome, may be it was too early in the day at 13:00. Disappointed as we have always prefer to go here whenever we were in London.

Good place for veg steam momos and fried chicken momos! Chilli paneer was overcooked and very chewy! The veg thali was decent!

I visited Kailash Momo in Woolwich with my boyfriend after a colleague’s recommendation and seeing the high ratings on Google, but unfortunately, it did not live up to the expectations. The food was disappointing. We started with the goat meat, which was so tough that it was impossible to chew. I had to give up and spit it out after trying for several minutes. The veggie starter (beans) was overwhelmingly salty – I usually enjoy salty dishes, but this was far beyond acceptable. The lamb stew was the only dish that was okay, but it wasn’t enough to redeem the meal. The customer service was equally underwhelming. The staff had a poor attitude, and their communication felt dismissive. While there might have been a language barrier, basic customer service skills were clearly lacking, and the team would benefit greatly from proper training. Overall, this experience was disappointing, and I would not recommend this restaurant based on the food quality and service I encountered.

Best food, pleasant environment, lovely people

There is a reason this place is always busy. Polite service is topped with a vastly tempting menu, all at fantastic prices. Always a buzzy place with a varied demographic eating here. One of Woolwich’s very best eating options.

I ordered 3 laphing and a rice set, laphing was like big spaghetti with no roll nothing like actual laphing with awful taste. atleast you need to describe. 14£ rice set portion you can see on the picture 2 piece of chicken and two piece of brocolli. with no pickle. nothing was as described in menu . It was my go to go place , but the delivery i got today is disgusting!!! never expected this from nepali restaurant . Time waste money waste.

Amazing food. Been there 3 times now and the food is consistently good. Each time I've tried something different and enjoyed every dish. I particularly enjoyed the Jhol momos and gizzard but don't think you can go wrong with their menu. Hope they never change. Highly recommend.

Great little place nestled amongst many other eateries in Woolwich. I had walked past this spot many times as it's pretty inconspicuous but you are most definitely missing out if you do not visit. Lots of choice for vegetarian and vegan (all clearly marked), interesting and varied menu all with a very warm service. Visit and order the veg chilli Momo's 💓

The tibetian and nepalese food is so lovely. Their momos and fried rice dishes are must try with a Gurkha beer , reminded me of back home of the Northern Indian Himalayas

Ordered momo, chowmein & sel roti didn't liked anything. Momo wrapper was too thick & wasn't cooked properly. Sel roti taste was so bland and chowmein wasn't tasty. It doesn't have taste of nepal food at all. Never ordering from them again.

The restaurant offers a great selection of authentic Nepalese and Tibetan cuisine. The staff are very friendly.

I visited Kailash Momo after reading its reviews on Google, but unfortunately, I was very disappointed and wouldn’t recommend this place for momo lovers. I tried their Fried chicken momo and Chilli chicken momo, but both fell short of expectations. There wasn’t much filling inside the momo, making it feel like I was mostly eating maida (refined flour) rather than the flavorful, well-stuffed momos I was hoping for. The momo achar (sauce) was another disappointment. It had a mild flavor that lacked the bold, spicy, and tangy punch typically associated with authentic Nepali momo achar. I’ve had much better momo achar elsewhere that really complements the dish, but this one didn’t come close. Overall, my experience didn’t live up to the hype, and I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re a true momo lover looking for quality and flavor. I hope they improve the filling-to-dough ratio and work on enhancing the flavors of their dishes.

Went to Kailash Momo over the weekend, and everything was just amazing. Has the steamed chicken momos, chilli chicken momos and chow mein, and everything hit the spot. The steamed momos were my personal favourite. The filling inside was perfectly spiced and simply tasted amazing. The chow mein and chilli momos likewise tasted exactly how they should. Super authentic and tasty.

I am very disappointed with the food received today, it was my first order from this place. We ordered 3 plates of chicken momo and 2 plates of veg spring rolls. Momo has very little fillings but very thick pastry cover. It felt like eating wet pastry, tasteless- it was awful. The momo's pickle was like tomato salsa, smell like canned tomatoes, horrible taste. Vegetables spring rolls had no fillings, just fried pastry. We had to throw all the foods into bin, we did not ate it. Very poor quality of food for the very pricy food, I will never buy anything from this place.Tasteless food, bad service, expensive, avoid this place! If you want to eat real momo, please don't buy here. All the low ratings reviews seems very true at least in my experience!!

I've been here several times, but today was the worst. I went there and ordered food, and the chowmein was the worst. We asked for chilli, and I'm not sure if he was the owner or a waiter, but the guy suggested to put chilli flex pickle (we asked for green chilli), which we accepted. Now it's time for thali, and I'm not sure why the quantity of rice is so less, it wasn't even a single feast. we asked the waiteress and she said we could have as much as we wanted. When we asked for rice, the waitress claimed it would generally take 3 minutes, but it took 6-7+ minutes to arrive which was really bad. Finally, in frustration, I cancelled extra rice because it was taking a long time. Later after paying we saw they charged us additional money for extra rice, 2.49 pound for that less rice? Really you guys are taking 2.49 pound for that quantity rice, and it was a plain rice. Really really bad experience. Never visiting again. Thankyou for the service.

Worst service ever. we were said that we can have extra rice but later they added that extra rice price on bill. This is the worst thing ever happened while having thali.

This place in Woolwich is sheer joy! Stopped by for dinner and ordered the following dishes - Chilli chicken momo (the best), chilli chicken fry (amazing), crazy chicken (great), chicken and pork chowmein (good noodles) & chicken curry with rice (delicious). All the dishes were fantastic and bursting with flavors. We also ordered their Nepali beer - Gurkha and that tasted amazing. All in all loved our dinner at Kailash Momos and highly recommend everyone to eat when here when in the area.

Just visited the place today - 1st Nov 2024 on a trip to London with wife and kids. We were staying over in Woolwich Arsenal and wanted to have a quiet dinner but something different .. found this on google search and decided to give it a try .. should say we were not just happy but extremely happy with the quantity … quality .. taste and pricing of the food at Kailash .. their steamed momos was yummy .. their crazy chicken was mind blowing .. their chowmein for the kids perfect .. their fried chicken momos was the right taste for our daughter and the final mixed fried rice was a nice ending to the meal .. to add .. their mango lassi and the Tibetan beer was nice to top it off .. one of the best meals we have had in a while .. which was a perfecting ending to a long hard day walking around London .. thanks to the staff for the exceptional service and recommendations as well .. If we come over to London again .. this would be a place we might not want to miss ..

Best nepali food we've out outside of Nepal! Lots of great vegan options. While things aren't marked vegan on the menu, there are lots of vegan options on it (staff were very helpful and reassuring with this), and lots of veggie stuff can be made vegan without sacrificing key ingredients. We've been multiple times and have loved everything we've eaten, only place we've found in London that equals what we ate in Nepal. Dherai dherai dhanyabaad!

We had the thali set and fried momos. Momos were delicious, but found the set food somewhat lacking - potato and broccoli pots a bit bland, the yellow dhal was nice but lamb quite tough and mostly just bone. However, great value for money for the price. If I was a local, I’d recommend it and probably make it a regular. But nothing special worth travelling out to Woolwich for

The food is delicious. Unfortunately, the restaurant is severely understaffed. You'll have to wait 15 mins to only order food. It was extremely hot inside, maybe invest in a good air conditioning system.

Absolutely outstanding, A hidden gem. Flavour explosion a fantastic menu a really cosy traditional Napalese restaurant. If you haven't tried this cuisine before, Then just go, Make sure to try and book a table before because it can get extremely busy.

A Hidden Gem with Incredible Flavors This place is truly a hidden gem in London! It's local for us, and we find ourselves coming back again and again—we’re absolutely obsessed with the flavors. The ambiance perfectly complements the food, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere that feels genuinely unique - compelte opposite of chane restaurants. The staff are always welcoming and make you feel right at home. Cozy, authentic vibe. Great value.

Incredible Nepalese restaurant!!! My family and I have been eating at Kailash Momo for over 10 years. We absolutely love it. The food is consistently good, and has always been delicious. The price is so cheap and reasonable for the amazing food they offer and solid portion sizes. I love the curries, the fluffy steamed bun, the momos are amazing and a must. The pani puris are also very nice. The whole menu is great. The vermicelli soupy curry dish is amazing too. Honestly everything here is so nice and it’s so affordable. Mango lassi is very nice. Service friendly and efficient. I definitely recommend this place if you’re on the fence about it. It’s popular nowadays so book in advance!

This was my first time trying Tibetan food. I had seen the place on a friend's Instagram account and had read good reviews, so I had quite high hopes. Despite this, I was not let down, and I was very pleasantly surprised. I had a few dishes in mind that I definitely wanted to order, but we also asked the waiter for a few recommendations, and he was extremely friendly and helpful. He even informed us that we may be ordering too much, so we reduced our order size. For our starter, we had the steamed chicken momo. I'd had many other types of dumplings (Chinese, Japanese, etc.), but this was also very nice. The dumpling skin was slightly thicker than others of similar shape, and the meat inside was juicy and had a nice flavour that it was possible to eat them as is. However, it came with a red, tomato based sauce, which went perfectly with it to enhance its flavours. For my main, I ordered the lamb thenthuk, which was recommended by the waiter over other noodle dishes. The broth had a slightly subtle yet delicious flavour. Initially, when I had just the noodles, I felt that the flavour was not enough, however, when I mixed it together with the meat and the vegetables, they soaked up more of the flavour of the broth that the whole dish was delicious. The noodles felt fresh, and the meat was tender and juicy. Overall, I very much enjoyed my experience at Kailash Momo. The inside of the restaurant is not too big, but it has a nice, cosy feel and the food was excellent. Also the prices were all very reasonable. Therefore, I would definitely like to return again to try more of their dishes.

This is an AMAZING dumpling restaurant. It didn't take one hour to get served and had nice, hot, and fresh dumplings. There are different options for steamed dumplings that you can indulge in quickly. The drinks are really refreshing and the environment wasn't too loud. The only problem was that the restaurant was a bit too hot, but other than that, it was perfect. I recommend

Food takes quite long to arrive but the taste is excellent. Amazing foods, tastes authentic and homey. Full of flavours. The momos have to be the highlight. Juicy filling with thin outer shell. Even the momo sauce is amazing. Chatpat was another favourite of ours. Staffs are hard working and welcoming.

However, our recent visit to Kailash Momo in Woolwich has set a new benchmark for us. Despite being a modest, small outlet, this restaurant offers some of the most delectable steamed Chicken Momo that can easily outshine many of the bigger names in the culinary scene. The restaurant is run by a pair of siblings, whose warm and genuine hospitality adds a personal touch to the dining experience. Their commitment to quality is evident not just in the food, but also in the overall ambiance of the place.

This looks like a hidden gem. From the outside it looks like another restaurant but inside it has lovely decor as you can see from previous images. You do kind of serve yourself by writing down your order as it has it ready on your table when we reserved our seats. So you're countable for your order. The food was lovely and I would go back when I get a chance. I went by car but parking was difficult but there is local buses and underground within 5 minutes walk

All the staffs are very polite, friendly and helpful. All the foods are freshly prepared and tasty. Only downside is foods are expensive and small in portions. I ate steamed Mutton momo and Mutton Thali. The Mutton Thali is very small in potion and costed £14 something. The total amount I paid was £21 something.

Food was average but the staff were rude and feels like they don't have any hospitality toward the customers.

Just took takeaway for pork steamed momos Unfortunately, they were not properly cooked as you see in the picture. Staff was friendly and the place looked great but unfortunately, not a great experience on food for the first time. Hopefully, it does not happen next time we come 😊

This place offers casual dining. 4 stars because we tried a lot of things here and the only thing we weren’t satisfied with was Momos! The steam momos was below average - had really less chicken filling and felt like we were having only the outer layer (which felt dry). The jhol momos were average too. Momos in that was good but the curry was questionable. The chaat was soggy, but really spicy. If it was crispy and fresh - it’d have been great. Some things were must try - I’d highly recommend the chilly chicken momos, chilli chicken, chilli paneer, and mango lassi. It was really good and worth it. Mango lassi > plain lassi. Overall the atmosphere was nice, however the service was too slow. Suitable for families with kids, and friends hangout.

Overall 3.75/5 Great food for the price, loved the veg momos. Didn’t enjoy the spring rolls, didn’t look fresh and smelled stale, However one of the best place to get momos.

Good taste and specially recommended for Momos. I had fried chicken momos, loved it. The place is crowded and you will need to wait for your turn. Service needs to be more precised, staff should be increased. Overall a decent place if you are looking for a asian food.

I have been here a few times. A few Tibetan dishes I haven't had for years that are so well made and such a treat. I am sure we will be back.

Chicken chill momo was bad. It wasn't flavourful at all. Chicken and Mutton Momo was mediocre. Mutton Chowmein has burned taste to it. I couldn't eat. I sadly had to threw it away. Chicken shyafaley and mutton sukuti was good. Overall, the food standards has gone down. I won't be ordering again.

Loved this place - delicious food.

Excellent in every way. Get the fried green beans - total highlight - and the daal fry, crazy pork, chilli chicken momo and the goat. The icy cold Gurka beers were also a find and the staff are amazing.

The staff Sapna Tamang was outstanding, very helpful, and on of the best staff in London. Gave us a warm welcome and introduced and suggested many new dishes for us to try, and it was amazing. I wish her all the best, and she deserves the best.

Such great value, attentive staff, clean and delicious! Get the steamed handmade (fried aren't handmade) Vegetarian Momos for sure and Pani Puri. The jelly noodles were unusual, spicy and yummy as a side dish. The staff were attentive, kind and informative; telling us how to eat it when asking. 5/5 stars amazing find.

Worst experience. They are pathetic. Asked us to wait outside for 10 mins took our contact details. Didn't bother to call us back for half an hour. When we called them back they didn't bother answering the call. it's like being popular means you can behave the way you want.
