KFC in Stoke-on-Trent

Burnt food through the drive through counter and horrible customer service. God help us in the future with this branch and it’s food quality.

Ordered takeaway/ delivery last night for my partner and I 1 festive burger meal and 1 zinger burger meal, pot of coleslaw Came to £ 30 with all the Just Eat charges on Along time since we have had a KFC which used to be a treat and excellent food Portion sizes are very small now Chips arrived cold and had to be microwaved which made them hot but soggy Zinger burger was tiny and came on a cheap soggy bun with, quite literally, a strip of lettuce Coleslaw was very strong? My partner and I have had upset stomachs/ frequent trips to the loo today Avoid!

Arrived at this venue to discover it had been refurbished and all the machines installed to pay. I specifically asked if you could use the machine then pay at the counter which i was informed yes. So placed the order for the lady i was supporting on a 1-1 told her go to the counter to pay whilst i placed my order to then hear staff speaking with attitude saying you cant use cash its only card here we only allow cssh through the drive through window. Well why wasnt this stated from the start? My service user has a disability and got very upset about all of this and felt that she couldnt have the meal that was ordered. I did step in as her support worker and paid it on my card. But this should be made clear from the start it even states on the screen you can pay at counter. What about the older generation who only carry cash? all this going cashless is ridiculous. I dont think me or my service user will return to this venue.

I only have it a 1 star because I couldn’t rate a zero star Absolutely disgusting I wanted to order 6 chicken legs only to be told NO you are only allowed to order 4 incase anyone else wants any. The reason we have the legs is because I had a breast last year from KFC and a bone in it chipped my tooth that bad that the root was showing which resulted to me 2 months ago being given a dentist bill of over £200 The staff were so rude and disgraceful, that when I ordered a fillet box meal with a leg they thought it was funny to put a breast in after I explained my experience with the last breast, which as gone to waste because I’m not risking it, it looked so dry and the fillet burger was just thrown together what a waste of £46 If I wanted to waste £46 only to be spoken to like a piece of crap I would have gone to Karen’s diner Lol 😂 But honestly the staff are all kids with no respect to there elders, they gave us a tub of beans but guess what no spoon to eat with along with no napkins or salt absolutely disgusting service and food I would avoid at all costs

We walked in. 2 females were laughing and joking behind the counter. There was food on the floor where people were walking. Tables were disgusting. The food? Well. It looked like it was thrown on the baps. The bins were full so it was impossible to empty tray. Not sure what they did to the chips but yuk! I wouldn't recommend this filth to anyone.

Kept away from this place as it had so many bad reviews in the past. As we were shopping very near and about 1.00pm we thought we would try and just see if it was still as bad as reviews of the past. Walked in and it looked as though it had been recently updated, was clean and tidy. It appeared to be run by a more senior and professional staff that I had seen in the past. Overall it was a very pleasant experience with great food and would visit again.

So having just spent the last two days in bed due to what we can only think is kfc(the only meal we both ate the same/within the time frame/and no-one gets a bug at the exact same time in one household) We waited over 30 minutes for our food in the first place and then this happened! We won’t be back to any kfc again.

When you order a Zinger burger box meal and there is no Zinger burger. I don’t need to elaborate other than that is the last time I ever use that godforsaken place.

Took ages to be served and then when we got the food it was cold and you could tell it had been out for ages. No napkins at all and the chips were thrown into the same bag as the gravy which in turn tipped over all of them and made a mess when we finally rescued them.

Rip off. A regular popcorn chicken with hardly anything in the box costs £3.49! I also got a two piece and gravy and it almost cost a tenner. Don’t bother.

Well...... First one for a while, first visit to this kfc, so disappointed and really upset tbf, chips cold and old, gravey was tasteless and I mean tasteless, now for the chicken....... 10 piece bucket, not fresh, not hot, and again not flavour never known this for a KFC...... We did normal drive through but when we got to the window they insisted we had ordered on the app, we had not it was their mistake, never again, I wish I had checked the reviews before we wasted 20.00

If I could give less than 1 star then I would, this KFC puts a bad name on the KFC chain! The restaurant is filthy, the service is slow and shocking, the food is cold and looks like it is about 3 days old, and half of our order was missing! Terrible, terrible, terrible...avoid this KFC!!

It was during the lockdown period and i had waited over 1 hour in the que to get my food,when i got home i realised things were missing of my order they had put 2 large fries for a large popcorn chicken, they had missed corn and gravy of our order, chicken fillet burgers missing, so i came back today 14/05/2020 and spoke with RAZ and she was absolutely fantastic she replaced my full order for the inconvenience i had and i only had to wait 10 minutes. she was absolutely brilliant the best customer service i've had for along time. Thank you again RAZ you are fantastic and should teach some of your colleagues that weren't so helpful :).

Went there yesterday ordered food using the touch screen machines. Stood in the queue and noticed alot of people waiting so we thought we go sit down until our number was called out. 40 minutes later our number still hadn't been called. So I asked and they said they were waiting for the chicken to be cooked. The staff just kept clicking our order and the kept going back and fourth to ours leaving it on the side so the chicken was going cold etc. After a 55 minute wait we finally got out food the staff apologised and told the lad who was making drinks to give us a large drink because we wait so long. We did actually order large meals so I explained that and she just told me that's the way it is the staff looked like they didn't know what they were doing or anything . The tables were disgusting. Nowhere to sit as the tables hadn't been cleaned ended up sitting in the car 👍

Visited this disgusting excuse of a restaurant on way to the cinema, so wish had chosen the McDonald's around the corner!the place was nearly empty but we struggled to find somewhere to sit that wasn't covered in left over food & avoiding the floor in one part that was totally flooded with coke with the cup still on the floor! After waiting over 15mins for our so called fast food,when eventually arriving, box meals were in bags,burger bap that was as hard as nails & cold fries,not once while there did anyone attempt in any way to clean up anywhere including the soaking wet floor to which I'm surprised no one broke there neck on.the place was in no way busy at at all so cannot understand the lack of filth in the place,can only put that down to the very young staff being bone idle,I did not see anyone that looked over the age of 17 behind the counter.please please avoid at all costs if you do not want to waste your money & find somewhere else to eat..not a chance in hell will I be visiting that place ever again!!!!

Order incorrect after it was dropped on the floor. Only 2 staff working the front counter with about 20 waiting customers. They were trying there best to keep up. Obviously incompetent management strikes again leaving the rest of the team to try and cope as best they can. Avoid until they replace the management.

Went into KFC for some ‘Fast food’ , as I had a 30 minute lunch break so I couldn’t be long. I ordered my food (popcorn chicken snack box) took them 20 minutes to make that so I had no time to eat it before my break Finished , ordered a krushem but what a surprise they couldn’t do it so I had to have it refunded. Went in today and again no krushems. You can’t trademark yourself as fast food if you take longer than 10 minutes to produce a basic food order. The problem with KFC is the staff/managers who cant keep the place running efficiently and evidently aren’t trained well.

I waited 58 mins for 2 big daddy meals ask how long said waiting on bacon waited then ask do you want zinger said no dont like them still waiting then told be another 10 mins but you can have your drink wIted again got it cold chips wrong order she took it bk said dont know how you put up with waiting so long I would not of and that staff working there .so left had some of it as was disgusting no one to complain to or manager about lots of people waiting for food so I walked out they are quick to take money but not quite with food I now have a bad stomach from it never go there again

Absolutely the worst KFC ever waited over 40 minutes to be served my food in the end gave up and got a refund . People queuing to complain about wrong orders . I’m now currently sitting at the festival park KFC to collect food . Nightmare managers useless and ran by children

Haven’t been to a kfc in ages but thought the festive menu looked quite nice so decided while out to have a treat....it all went in the bin the half empty tiny packet of chips were stone cold (and weren’t festive...you have to pay extra for that even though it’s a festive box meal and I wasn’t told this) I asked what drinks were included and was told hot drinks....charged extra for the hot drink...the festive burger looked like it been invoked in a car accident and tasted as bad as it looked with a terrible sour smell to it and again stone cold was told I couldn’t order the piece of chicken what I wanted I had to take pot luck, will never go again cost 15 quid for 2 meals that went in the bin.

Cold food, wrong items in order so had to go back to get the right food, friends of staff behind the counter helping themselves to milkshakes, dirty counter and tables.

Slow service, sub standard food, poorly presented, dirty tables. Only positive was the pleasant young person who served me. Chips are awful (and this is a recurring theme) and the drinks taste disgusting.... Go somewhere else or this place will never get the message. No excuse for poor service or poor food.

My husband went last night as we had our grandchildren fir the evening and they wanted a kfc. Its not a place that we go and we will definitely not be going back. Husband ordered 3 popcorn chicken snack boxes and 2 pieces chicken and chips 2 beans and 2 gravy.When he got the food home after waiting forever for it. He opened the packaging to find 2 small beans 2 small gravy 2 pieces chicken 2 chips only and 4 tiny boxes of popcorn chicken with about 6 small pieces of chicken in each!!! What a waste if time and not cheap! I ended up cooking which I should have done in the first placeExtremely disappointed littlies!! Do not visit!!

Went to this KFC to give it a try. Will not be going back again. The time from placing the order to actually getting the food took over 35 minutes. Could have made food at home a lot quicker. To start with the quick order machines at the door would not accept any codes from our phone so had to order at the counter. This is not a problem if there had been more staff on in the store. Waited ages for the food as there is a serious lack of staff and an abundance of orders that come though on the phone service. They seem to take preference over people ordering in store. When our order was called then had the joy of finding a clean table to eat from. Needle in haystack springs to mind. Everywhere was filthy. Tables, chairs, floor and the bins were over flowing everywhere. Health and Hygiene officers would have a field day in there. Hope they get to read this as somebody is going to be seriously ill in there.We finally cleared a space and shared out our order. Most of this was wrong and had to go back to be rectified, yet another wait and the rest of the food going cold. How can you get simple orders so wrong? Even the pop order was wrong and when we finally got the right sort it was flat as a pancake, yet another trip back to the counter.Would we recommend this place - a big fat NO. Only if you can stand a long waiting time only to get the wrong order and then have to wait a lot longer to put it right.Then you have to sit in filth to eat the damn food.Where is the manager when you need to speak to them - oh yes hiding in the back out of shame. I feel sorry for the poor staff who are on the front line taking all the flack.

My 3 kids are all Ill after eating the chicken from your shop I am absolutely disgusted it was all under cooked .never having from festival park again . 😠

Absolutely disgusted with the service received in this KFC. Unless you’ve got a spare 45 minutes to waste, do not bother going. The self-service order machines near to the door do not accept the KFC app regardless of whether you try to scan the barcode or enter the membership number meaning that you have to queue up in the normal queue. I have no issue with queuing up for a till but very infuriating when there is over a 10 minute wait to just place an order for food! At first, I thought it was just my app but it soon became apparent that everyone was having the same issue.The offers on the app only allow for ‘one per transaction’ so, our order for 4 meals (3 boneless banquets for one and a zinger burger meal) was split across 3 order numbers – not a problem as we still got to use the offer we wanted and the order numbers were consecutive anyway. This is something we have done before and had no issues with receiving the food in one go. Upon placing the orders, our drinks were provided to us but, we soon had to return these as the pepsi did not have any taste. Staff were quick to rectify this for us. After finally being served, we went and stood in the collection area with the other countless amount of people waiting for their food to be prepared. It soon became apparent that there was a serious back log of orders including people going through the drive through and online deliver orders through Deliveroo. However, despite the back log, orders from Deliveroo were still being accepted. Finding a table was no issue as there were plenty to choose from but, finding a clean one proved testing. The bins were over flowing with rubbish so people had been left with no option but to leave their rubbish on the table. In addition to the dirty tables, the floors were no cleaner – food, rubbish and just generally dirty. In the whole time we were in KFC, not a single member of staff came to empty bins or to clean up. Surely this is a hygiene issue? Although the two staff who were working on processing orders on the till and packaging the meals were working tirelessly hard to process the orders, there was an evident issue on the kitchen side of the operation. Food was being sent through but not the food which was required. Stacks of burgers were mounting up but no chicken strips, buckets or chips were being processed. Eventually after waiting for over 20 minutes since placing our order, one of our three order numbers appeared on screen to say it was ready to collect. Upon collection, it was evident that only part of the order number was ready. The staffs solution to this was to keep the food heated under lamps and in order to make up the second meal on the order number, food was being removed from other orders in the queue. Obviously this did not go down well with other people who have been waiting and rightly so. We were anticipating that the other two meals would not be far behind but how wrong were we! Over 25 minutes past ordering, the second order number was ready only for them to give us wrong information in relation to what the order contained. When we asked about the third and final order number, we were informed that this would not be ready any time soon but they did offer to keep the second order warm in the meantime by using the heated lamp – no thank you, if I wanted dried up chicken and chips, I’d have gone to a place with a poor hygiene rating. FINALLY, after over a 35 minute wait, the third order was ready to collect. Only upon collection it was the complete wrong meal. What should have been a boneless banquet for one with a side of beans turned out to be a tiny burger, chips and a side of gravy. This again meant another trip to the counter to sort out. Where was the shift manager while all this was going on? In the back hiding their face. Something which the counter staff were more than happy to admit and were equally as annoyed. What should have been a quick and easy meal out as a family turned into an hour of utter frustration. Obviously, I am fully aware that we were not the only people in this situation as the board which shows when the order was placed evidently listed out that there were other orders which had been placed prior to us.

We went here last week for dinner. The staff could have been more cheerful and the prices cheaper. I had the corn on the cob which was nice, then the chicken breast and chips. Some of the chicken breasts were dripping with grease and my side order of beans was not good. The toilets could be cleaner as well!

Called in after a 6 hour drive and just wanted a snack.

Went through the drive through staff with no manners and had to ask twice for a side I ordered got home and quality is shocking rice box with 2 small bits of overlooked burnt chicken and half kids meal missing tried to call to complain no answer defo won’t be going back and will continue to try and contact them cant return as child asleep

First let me start by saying I am not a big KFC fan anyway but once in a while especially after a Cinema trip its easy eating food and normally quick. Di not know whats going on at this place but it took nearly 25 minutes from pulling up with only one car in front. It was 10pm on a Saturday night and they had about 4 staff on with only 2 customers sat inside and one car before me.

We ordered our food through the deliveroo app, it cost just short of £32, when it eventually arrived the whole order was cold, from the time the order was picked up it took the driver 30 mins to deliver it!!!!

Last visit ever, will stick with newcastle-under-lyme off from now on. What utter shambles, the staff were completely incompetent and rude. We had to wait over 30 minutes for our food and when we got it they got it wrong so had to wait again.....NOT GOOD ENOUGH

Just been through the drive through, got home and seen 2 burgers that a child could could have cooked better. Awful baps, awful chicken fillets and salad that looks three weeks old. Won’t be going back anytime soon!!!

First all of all we walked in, all empty tables were full of rubbish, the cleaning attendant (a young lad) was extremely helpful and polite and cleaned a table for us straight away. Then the young call taking orders behind the till, was the most rude and obnoxious person I’ve ever met, it was as if she was doing me a favour even talking to me, sighing every two seconds and not even looking at me, then she just threw my change into my hand and walked off without a thank you or nothing, for the managers info the girl was of Asian ethnicity and worse a headdress. Absolutely vile. Then me and my son attempted to use the toilet, in which we couldn’t as they were that dirty, soggy tissue everywhere, urine all over the floor, the walls were sticky. It was the worst kfc I have ever been to

Waiting a good 25 mins for my ‘fast food meal’, there was no wear to sit because nothings been cleaned it was a state. The staff didn’t have a clue how to prepare food quickly. It was chaos. Wouldn’t recommend coming to this KFC, that’s for sure

Visited here when shopping at the Retail Park. Very disappointed. Although there was plenty of parking that was about the only plus point. It looked Ok when we entered so ordered our food and waited. Just shouted out our number and thrust the tray at us. No help identifying where everything was. The cashier kept on calling me 'duck', whilst I recognise this is a local dialact saying it was really uneccesary. When we sat down and looked closer at the place the floor was dirty and had not been mopped or if it had it had spead the dirt around. We used the facilities which were just about Ok but very squashed. The food was hot but not very appetising, just seemed to be thrown on a tray. Had to wipe bits off our seats.

The drive thru was absolutely rubbish, the queue was not moving at all! Service is absolutely rubbish and staff DO NOT care about customers inside the restaurant and even in the drive thru!

Visited on Saturday 26th Jan, against my better judgement. I actually like KFC but the one on festival park is, and always has been the worst one i’ve ever visited.

Under staffed so chaos, dirty and so slow ! Asked for a refund and walked out ! Even had to que for refund as so many people were fed up waiting for "fast food " avoid !!

I went KFC at festival park today I had 1 hour for lunch. I waited 30 minutes before anybody took my order. I complained I think if I had not I did would be still waiting. Would I recommend it no. Would I ever go back the answer is no.

KFC is nothing like when I used to enjoy the food they serve as a teenager, but this branch was worse than usual, of 4 sides dishes on offer only one was available, (the coleslaw), I wasn't given a dip that was part of the meal, as with all KFC these days there are no visible menus except the one above the counter that I cannot see until I reach the counter, then your making them wait for your order while you decide and everyone else in the queue is waiting for you to make your mind up.

We called into KFC today after going to Waterworld. As soon as we walked in there was a massive queue to the door, one person serving on a Saturday lunchtime??

We waited for ages just to order our food. When we eventually got our food it was awful, my mates wrap was hard like it had been hanging around for days. My chicken was really hard and cold. I ordered a 7up and the cup was only filled half way and had too much ice in. The place was a mess chips all over the floor, empty cups and wrappers everywhere.

Food was awful. Very greasy chicken with cold chips are not unusual here. Been for second visit but definitely won't be coming again.

We are not local to this KFC so haven't been in for a couple of years. It was really busy with a continual queue at the counter. We decided to order from the touch screen machine for the first time (we are of the mature generation so this was a big thing for us). It was straight forward and our order was exactly as we had ordered on the machine. The staff member was as most fast food restaurant staff, indifferent, but we sadly have come to expect that from most fast food staff. . The food was nice but we had to wipe our own table down as it was quite messy. Although we went in at a very busy time I did notice that as people were leaving there was no urgency in wiping the tables down and when a member of staff did start to wipe them down it was with the attitude that tmrw will do.

It's been refurbished so I thought I'd give it another chance. I wish I hadn't bothered. Ordered via the drive thru, got home and dips missing from a 'dipping feast', kind of defeats the object of having a dipping feast.

This has just had a refurbishment and I thought I'd give it another try... don't bother I've been waiting for more than 15 mins now. The only reason I haven't drive off is because I'm blocked in.

Would happily give this place zero rating! Visited after a day out at waterworld... food was cold.. sent it back to get luke warm food in exchange. One of the burgers wasn’t even cooked properly! The place was filthy and I won’t even go into the state of the toilets! This particular KFC needs closing down ASAP!!

When we arrived my daughter went to find a table and me and my partner went to order. We were served straight away but the waited a while for the food to be ready. The booth across from us was disgusting and the seats were ripped. I had the Tower Burger meal and when i bit into the burger grease squirted out onto my hand scalding me. My daughter had Popcorn Chicken some of them were mushy and some were chewy. My partner had the Chicken Rice Box and the chicken fillet was tiny and with it being that small there should have been 2 in it. I wish we had looked at trip advisor before visiting because the place is definitely less than 1 star

Called at KFC this morning and before ordering food I visited the gents toilet. Absolutely filthy, no toilet paper, no soap at the sink and the whole place needed a deep clean. Will no way be eating there.

Came in for something quick to eat. Certainly wasn’t quick.

Visited KFC during a day of shopping -absolute nightmare. No one seemed to know what they were doing had to wait 30 mins for 2 zinger box meals. No apology for the delay!! The restaurant was dirty it took ages for food to be cleared from the tables. Will never visit KFC again

Fancy a KFC? This place isn't the one to go too. We've been a couple of times and each time they've ran out of something. 1) first time they had no gravy or beans

It is just unthinkable that you would go into a McDonald's and they wouldn't have any burgers... so why is it exceptable for you NOT to have any chicken,and this wasn't on a wet midweek night but on a Saturday at @5:00ish peak time!!

Customer service it at its worst in this branch, wrong order staff just hanging around some in dirty uniforms, always something at that his place thought it had new staff but there just as bad as the last! You need a new management! Always an...

Absolutely terrible, they have no idea about customer service what so ever. I asked twice to speak with a manager but no one came out and in the end I didn't want to waste anymore of my day in that place. There was nothing wrong...

Always get my order wrong and when you complane they do nothing to help. How hard is it to get order wrong. I like KFC but would rather use Burslem one that here.

Without doubt the worst experience I have ever had in any food outlet. Full, overflowing bins, rubbish piled up on uncleared, filthy, dirty tables, no condiments I wish I had turned round and walked out then. We were hungry and tired after an exhausting visit to the Hospital and we decided good old reliable KFC would hit the spot, oh how wrong we were. We ordered four meals and the git two of them wrong, the only sides available were 'gravy' or 'beans', the only cold drink available was Pepsi (not even water) , the chicken was dry and overlooked and the staff lacked training and product knowledge.

I have used this KFC branch situated on the upper festival park area of Hanley on several occasions. It is only a small restaurant which is set back from the retail units, the main issue is that it is very rare they have full products in stock. I have been when there was no gravy, no beans, no pepsi and no sundaes, all on different occasions. It is a poor KFC branch with inadequate staff, there have only been a handful of times when the visit was satisfactory.

The tables, floor and counter were filthy. Tables hadn't been cleared. Although food was good, only one person serving on a Saturday night was not good, and 10 minute wait to order. Bottle of cleaning fluid was left unattended on a table and bins were full

Deathly slow service, soggy food, filthy restaurant and dirty toilets. Lots of staff milling around though?? Avoid!!

Always good at kfc Managers are a bit abrupt with the staff though especially poor in front of customers

Visited with family, waited in line for 10 minutes. The staff serving me was called chanice. She didn't smile at all and seemed like she had somewhere better to be. After ordering I was given my bottled drink and waiting to be asked how many cups I'd need. Chanice stared at me with a look that said 'why are you still here' then said can I have the next customer, not bothering to ask why I was still standing in front of the till. I received my food quite quickly and asked a different staff member for my cups, i sat at my table and when I put the tray down I noticed we hadn't been given plates. The floor staff whose name is Amy came over with some of my food that hadn't been ready while I was at the counter. She seemed open and smiled when she approached. I asked her for plates and she fetched them immediately. The food looked and tasted nice. Part way though our visit we noticed Amy was behind the till and the customer area was a mess. Nearly every table had rubbish on and were dirty and so was the floor. Next time I'll walk the extra 5 minutes and eat at mcdonalds or pizza hut.

KFC is KFC. had a nice lunch. Staff very friendly and work hard. Clean restaurant area. Yummy as usual.
