Kielder Fish Bar in Northumberland

ordered a few nights ago and couldn't actually wait to order again! Fish is incredible, very white and a good size and very tasty. Our 5 month old devoured some fish and mushy peas too! So thumbs up from the oldest right through to the youngest.

Very poor quality for the price paid

Fish was too dry. Chips were small portion for a large supper. Meal was cold.

Our first time trying Kielder and it was very nice.

Arrived way earlier than expected. Light fluffy fish, delicious chips and lovely large mushy peas. The best around here, every time.

A Tuesday teatime excellent as usual

Great Fish and chips, would not go anywhere else. 25 mins from placing order to delivery on a Friday night at peak time. The best thing is the order is right every time.. nothing missing and boiling hot. Best fish and chip shop in Ashington.

Wasn’t as impressed second time around, not sure how cod can be both warm and cold in the same mouthful. Arrived early though and the chips + curry sauce were nice.

So after a not so great experience, kielder chippy have really taken ownership of it. They were absolutely brilliant and gave us some freebies. Ive never had the scampi from here before but it was absolutely gorgeous. I definitely will be ordering that again.We ordered our usual fish and chips and it was absolutely amazing. You really can taste the fresheness. It was absolutely huge and we couldn't even eat it all. Honestly a great experience and I will definitely be ordering from here again. Thank you soo much.

Usually absolutely love kielder fish bar but extremely disappointed today. The fish which is usually the best in ashington was absolutely disgusting. The batter was stale, chewy, like cardboard. That was 100% not fresh at all and for the price you pay its shocking. I really hope they are having an off day otherwise I will definitely not be ordering again.

We have been using this fish and chip shop for over 20 years and this was the worst portion of fish we have ever been served, it would have suited a 6 year old child, £7 for a small strip of fish and chips, every time we have bought it from the Kielder we are served 2 small pieces of fish ..shrinkflation ...fishshrink..... it will be a while before we go back if at all, if I could post the photos took of the elusive fish I would

Ordered at 19:10 due to the delivery time being 45 - 60 minutes. Food arrived at approximately 20:45. I appreciate there was a notification from Just Eat saying that it would be delayed, but I wouldn’t have ordered if I thought it would take this long

Disappointed, had real potential, fish was fresh and tasty but the batter and the chips where a greasy soggy mess, I ordered early so I suspect the oil wasn’t as hot as it should’ve been, I’d rather have had a later delivery than the poorly cooked meal I received

absolute sh*te which is surprising as this place is usually brilliant but I don't know how it took 1hr n 1/2 app wasn't updating anything chips were saturated in grease and was stuck to the paper were no where near crispy the cheese patty same story I can't believe how miserable the drive was could of give me a run for my money honestly what's gan on I used to love this chip shop but I can't see myself ordering again only positive when I phoned restaurant the guy who answered was well mannered

First time ordering off Just Eat. Live in Ashington. Saw a review that someone ordered from Bedlington and received cold curry sauce, well I received cold curry sauce tonight and I live in Ashington! Chips were cold as well. 30 seconds in microwave sorted it but may not order again in a hurry. Probably better just going to collect our order.

I ordered a large cod and chips, with peas, curry and 2 bread buns. The size of the portion of chips was pathetically small, the curry sauce was stone cold and the bread buns were not buttered. Very disappointing.

The grease on the wrappers was an absolute joke absolutely covered in it, It must have be under New Management as I've been to this shop before and it was actually nice, if not under new management he doesn't care anymore obviously, the fish bites have dropped in quality really badly ,wont be ordering again very disappointed

waited 1hr 50 minutes to receive a bag of cold food. contacted kielder who sent out fresh food. I've used them for years which is really disappointing

Been awhile since we used here but we were not disappointed. Will use again. Great fish and chips.

Sadly, didn’t live up to previous experiences. Arrived late. From Driver on his way to the actual delivery was nearly 40mins. All except the outer wrapping was flooded in grease. The chips were great for everyone, but the quality of all 3 fish left a lot to be desired. Very dry and a lot left over and put in the bin. Unlike on previous occasions…what’s went wrong? Reminded us of the more local shop we gave up on. Shame, but £40+ wasted in our view and now off our preferred list of deliveries.

My regular order of 3 chicken but only recieved 2 this time

We're regulars and this is a great little chippy. Last night there was an issue with delivery at their end, something unforeseen and out of their control. They were very communicative and apologetic and the food arrived later than we expected originally - but it was hot, fresh and as lovely as usual. I think that the mark of a good company is how they tackle any issues that occur and they did that and met our expectations. We will definitely order again.

Jumbo sausage arrived as small, chips were terrible, small crunchy and old. We won't be back.
