Kin + Deum in Southwark

Estaba decepcionado por la calidad de la comida que nos sirvieron. Muy promedio para precios más que promedio. El servicio tampoco estuvo a la altura. Todo el mundo era perfectamente agradable, pero no nos atendió una persona tan constantemente tratando de llamar la atención de alguien para pedir lo que necesitábamos. Decepcionante.

En primer lugar, la comida es excelente! No puede faltar la frescura y deliciosos sabores aquí. Sin embargo, el entorno del restaurante no cumple con los mismos estándares. El asiento de madera del banco es increíblemente incómodo y al final estaba deseando irme. El servicio es súper indiferente, ya que realmente no les importaba si estabas allí o no. Lástima. Sensación general de entrar, comer, salir.

El entorno está bien, el servicio estaba bien, la comida era extremadamente cara y muy decepcionante. La comida llegó casi antes de que termináramos de pedir, lo que fue una preocupación inmediata. No tenían el plato que quería, así que fue por pollo y castañas de anacardo. Las nueces estaban bien, pero nada en el plato sabía a nada, el pollo estaba tierno pero la masa estaba empapada y salada. La comida de mi pareja se veía muy bien, así que pensé que había elegido mal, pero después admitieron que era la peor comida en al menos los últimos diez años, y el vientre de cerdo (que es bastante difícil de exagerar) era más duro que mis botas de cuero. Galletas somos agradables, pero venían de un paquete, y no tenían sabor a siracha, sólo crujiente. 40 libras cada uno por lo que era básicamente realmente mala comida callejera tailandesa, y una botella de vino entre 3 es muy decepcionante. De hecho nos sentimos avergonzados por toda la gente que venía cuando nos fuimos. Tailandia se supone que es conocida por la explosión de sabor, yo no llevaría a nadie que ha estado en Tailandia a menos de 1000 pies de barraca De este lugar. ¡Simplemente quédate con el mercado caro del condado!

Teníamos una mesa reservada para el almuerzo de mitad de semana en Kin & Deum. Nuestro grupo de 8 se sentaron inmediatamente a la llegada y se les dio un montón de tiempo para decidir antes de ordenar. El restaurante tiene un gran ambiente, el personal era servicial y amable. La ubicación era estupenda a solo un tiro de piedras de The Shard & London Bridge subterráneo. Las galletas picantes de langostinos tuvieron una patada real y eran un aperitivo encantador antes de nuestros entrantes. Pedimos una variedad de platos de entrada, incluyendo las albóndigas, rollos de primavera y calamares de ajo. La presentación de los alimentos y los tamaños de las porciones fueron fantásticos. Para la alimentación disfrutamos de satay de maní, pollo al curry verde, panang curry y kao pad baan baan. ¡Platos vacíos por todos lados! Los cócteles eran deliciosos y bien presentados. Tuve varios mojitos de mandarina que fueron un delicioso giro en un mojito original.

Hemos estado en Kin & Deum 6 a 8 veces desde que nos mudamos a Borough hace 8 meses. Disfrutamos mucho de la comida, que siempre ha sido consistentemente de alta calidad. Probamos el Pad Thai por primera vez y lo disfrutamos mucho, junto con nuestro favorito habitual el curry Mussaman. Fue agradable que en el equipo nos reconoció y nos dio la bienvenida de nuevo.

Near the corner of St. Thomas’s Street and Bermondsey Street and in the shadow of The Shard looming over the tracks leading to London Bridge station sits a number of restaurants of which Kin and Deum specialising in Thai cuisine is one of the more prominent. Some Easter specialities were on an additional menu from which I chose a crispy and slightly rubbery squid followed by a spicy seafood soup which did not need the rice the waitress tried to sell me. A lemony cheesecake rounded off matters nicely.

Booked a table and email confirmation said we had the table for 90 mins. Our starters were brought at the same time as our mains and before we'd even been there for an hour our waiter told us they needed the table back in 10 mins. That spoilt what should have been a nice catch up dinner with a friend. Food was nice but not special enough to return given the way we were rushed out.

Amazing allergen options - as a lactose free coeliac, I could eat most of the menu which was unheard of. Fantastic thai food & great vibes!

Wauw, thats a nice Thai place, great food, excellent service. You will enjoy the big time. We went for lunch and were surprised. Highly recommended

We went here based on the reviews. The restaurant is busy, small and has a good atmosphere. Service was good. Unfortunately the food was very average and lacked the spice and depth of flavour you get in other Thai restaurants.

My partner and I visited Kin and Deum for dinner on a Friday evening. Our reservation was at 930pm. We came here because we were in the mood of having Thai cuisine and this seemed like a good choice. We had researched other Thai restaurants around, but this one was, firstly, located close to where we were staying but, secondly, we liked the variety of food on the menu, strong recent reviews, and the business ethos appeared good as well. We liked the emphasis on wellness without sounding pompous. When we arrived, the restaurant was very busy. Luckily, we had made a reservation and we got a nice tucked away window seat. The staff were friendly and the service was extremely quick. The food and drinks we ordered were truly delicious. I ordered the panang chicken curry with coconut rice and a side of tamarind crispy eggs, and my partner ordered the Thai rice salad to start and king prawn pad thai for a main. We ended the meal with a matcha brownie and two scoops of ice cream. Sadly they had sold out of the matcha and black sesame ice cream by the time we ordered but the others were fine and I was much too full for anything else. Our drinks were a lychee martini and Blue Butterfly Pea Juice. Everything tasted fresh and was well presented. We left feeling satisfied that we had enjoyed a great meal. We would most definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a delicious Thai meal in London.

Ate here on a busy Wednesday evening. Ordered Gra Pow, Pineapple Rice, Crispy Rice Salad and Thai Sausage. All delicious, with food arriving very quickly. Excellent attentive service from staff. All in all a very enjoyable experience.

My wife, daughter and I had been trying to get a table at Kim & Deum for some time and finally decided to go for an early (5.15pm table. When we arrived there were already a few tables and when we left at 7.00pm we opened up the only free table. Very busy with a nice decor and a busy atmosphere. We have chicken massaman curry, sea bass fillets, pineapple rice and morning glory, followed by mango and sticky rice, and all the food was glorious. All the ingredients and textures were fresh and visible, with some nice spicy undertones. Service was quick and courteous. We had 1.45 hrs for our booking and there was no rush. We’ll come again and would highly recommend the restaurant - if you can eat in! Book early

Food was delicious! Went on a rather busy Friday evening but food and drinks were really quick to arrive. The portions were generous and the spring rolls were especially yummy !

I had a great experience at Kin+Deum as a freelance celebrity chef I’m very fussy and particularly with where I dine Bank and the team looked after me and my friend Oliver we had cocktails starter main and dessert The staff were friendly the food was served hot and the portions were generous I’d definitely recommend this place for authentic Thai cuisine with no msg too

Whoever Siam is, they do not like aubergine. I love aubergine and I found this dish very disappointing; made me feel quite queasy. Great environment though, spacious, and the rest of the food was good but not spectacular. Staff were great

A really good, tasty, meal with fine service - a most enjoyable evening. The food was of above average quality with some subtle touches. Both the portion sizes and cost were very reasonable. Comfortable space but very busy needing advance booking at the weekend. Quite a good wine list with some fair prices. I will try to revisit next time I am in the area.

Food was very nice but I have never been so rushed to eat my starter and main course! They brought the mains whilst we were still eating our starters and then tried to clear the mains while some of us were still eating! The table next to us were in and out within less than an hour. What a shame but won’t go back as not relaxing to be rushed on a night out with friends

Came here for a family dinner on a Friday evening. The local area is buzzing, so my hopes were high for a good night out. The staff were warm and friendly and helpful. As we are vegetarians, they helped out with good advice on choices. The service was fast and the staff were attentive. The food was excellent, very authentic and felt homely, I really enjoyed my Katsu Curry and my family had a great time. We would definitely come here again

This place must be the most unfriendly Thai restaurant we have visited. Nothing of the famous smiling welcome of an incredibly warm country. They barely greet you when you walk in, no offer of a high chair for our two year old, and no chance to sit where you want even when the restaurant was empty at 5pm. I’m fact we arrived a few minutes early and they didn’t want us in so we had to walk down Bermondsey Street to kill time. Food is mediocre. Not authentic Thai. During our meal a stream of Deliveroo delivery drivers started arriving to collect orders. One had to wait so long for his order he started complaining rightly that his time was being wasted. He is probably earning a pittance. The staff told him they would cancel the order after making him wait for 20 mins for food they didn’t have ready. Really bad atmosphere and bad feeling sitting next to this ongoing row. The staff seemed completely bored and disinterested in their jobs. No one hardly looked us in the eye the whole time we were there and no one said goodbye. I’ve have had more welcoming visits to McDonald’s. Avoid.

Absolutely gorgeous food and nearly everything was gluten free. Would highly recommend. Really authentic tasting Thai

We enjoyed this restaurant for a casual family lunch with our dog…always a bonus when dog friendly ! Tom Yum & Tom Khar Ghai soups were ok if not a little small. The Phad Thai, my Green Curry & our sons dish very good (Can’t remember the name) ! The side dish of morning glory was excellent too…All very tasty & clearly fresh. Good service team, attentive, professional & smiling, lovely atmosphere !
