Kokoro in Hillingdon

This was my first visit in some time because the noodles last time were as nice as shredded cardboard. The noodles are definitely good again. This time I had the spicy tofu, and it was ultra tender, a pity as I prefer firm tofu. Also I was expecting a lower price for the vegetarian option, albeit it wasn’t daylight robbery. The service is always good and fast. The prices are standard. I’ll be getting wok and go’s noodles next time but Kokoro is worth a try in case it’s more to your taste

I'm disappointed that I don't have the beef bulgogi that I always want to eat.

The food is amazing, and the staff is helpful and courteous.

The staff are lovely and the food is really tasty, with decent portions for the price. But their toilets are always blocked off in the evenings and there's next to nothing available even over 2 hours before they're due to close. I understand if you're going in just before they shut but we went in at half 4 (they close at 7) and half their usual stuff wasn't available. 3 times I've gone in and their accessible toilet was blocked off. Just some things that could do with improving.

My secret get away with the hubby. We love it. The food is excellent amd the staff are polite and kind. No faults. Hope the local authority and council can preserve this place to never close.

Best place in Uxbridge for quick food to go and usually filled pretty generously:)

I’ve visited Kokoros several times, and each experience has been great. The food is outstanding, consistently delivering delicious flavors that keep me coming back for more. The staff is also good at what they do, making every visit enjoyable. The only drawback is the limited seating capacity. While I appreciate the cozy atmosphere, additional seating options for larger groups would be a nice improvement. Despite this, I highly recommend Kokoros for anyone looking for fantastic food.

Waiting in the queue for 5 min and the person moves to ask next please to the ones who were there after me. I person was wearing a black cap that was serving the customers.

Disappointing Experience at Kokoro Food Uxbridge I ordered a large box and specifically asked for fewer noodles. Instead of adjusting only the noodles, they gave me a smaller portion of chicken as well—much less than what they normally serve. To make matters worse, I was charged for two toppings of chicken but didn’t even get the amount for one! It was really disappointing to pay around £11 for what felt like a meal smaller than their usual small box. Definitely not worth the price.

It is supposed to close at 9pm. We went at 8.15 and most choices were unavailable. We ordered what was left and sat down while staff were already sweeping up. At 8.25 staff started putting chairs up on tables and vacuuming. This made us feel very unwelcome, as if they wanted to get rid of us. Will not be going back.

Food alone this place gets a 5 star. Never let down by the food and its portions!

Their sushi is alright, Their hot meals coles in big portions but i don’t really think it’s a Japanese taste Their inside seats will be crowded if you go in the peak hours

I just love this place. I would really recommend to anyone. Delicious food- noodles or rice for the mai - and plenty of side to choose from. I will come again

5 star - Reasonably priced, well respected staff, perfect portions, simple, easy going, quick efficient- i can not complain and you wont be disappointed about the food. As a Connoisseur, Food is subjective - so it depends on ur taste and ur spices. Don't take for my word - try it. I wish I took a pic of what I eat but I dug in straight- if I come again (most likely I will) will date this with another pic.

Undoubtedly this is one of the best places to eat in Uxbridge, freshly prepared and good value for money. My favourites are salmon teriyaki with rice, chicken curry and rice and the Spicy tofu curry and rice. HOWEVER on many occasions they fill the large pots entirely with rice and very little toppings or curry. Today I had the beef and they filled the entire pot with rice. I basically paid £10 for rice. Disappointed with the service today! The service varies based on who serves you and their mood so be careful and don’t be afraid to complain. I would have complained but it was a takeaway and I only realised when I got home.

Love their Katsu chicken and rice and that’s what I mostly order from here. I find it better than Wagamama. I also like their sweet chilly chicken and wish they could make it just a little less sweet and a little more spicy. It’s good nevertheless

Foods ok, nothing special, really overpriced

Food is good and matches the price. Food is premade and microwaved in front of you. I like how they offer different portion sizes so everyone can go away not feeling hungry and reduce food waste. The large portion is really good when you’re hungry!

Katsu sauce on rice tastes unbelievable!

Kokoro is a delightful Japanese restaurant that hits the spot when you're craving a quick and satisfying meal. The staff here are always welcoming and eager to accommodate your needs. While the menu selection may be somewhat limited, the impeccable quality and generous portions more than compensate for it. Every visit leaves me feeling content and fully satisfied.

Limited assortment. Basic food, Good, but not great. Service basic, polite, but nothing special. Quantity very nice, a lot of food for one person in the portion.

No problem with staff but food was horrible. Felt like a challenge tryna eat it! Horrible. Don’t recommend.

Ordered from Kokoro on delivaroo order never came driver marked it as delivered and they refused to refund my £25 called the restaurant and driver multiple times no answer. Will not order again.

Food is delicious as always, and the staff are always super polite! The atmosphere is average, neither good or bad, could be a bit more colourful and bright. Some of the food is halal! And not too expensive compared to like, wagamama or red iron (which has gone down in quality since the renovation). So definitely worth it.

This was my first visit to Kokoro in Uxbridge and have been to a few other locations in the passed. I went in for lunch it was quite busy with office workers but didn't have to wait long to be served. Friendly service & clean restaurant . I had the spicy chicken curry, it was very nice and I had no complaints. I would visit again.

Do not eat the hot food here. It thought I would try it for the first time and I noticed straight away that the chicken looked and tasted weird. It was grey and stringy inside. But I thought maybe it was fine and I was imagining it. No I was not. I had food poisoning after this meal. I will not be visiting this chain again.

Average flavour, good for some quick food. The chicken katsu was a bit boring with just rice sauce and chicken. But it's absolutely massive. Never seen so much chicken in my life.

Average sushi, but average sushi is better than no sushi. This is not fine dining but it is an expensive but nice weekday lunch

Food is tasty but overpriced.. Dropped down to 2⭐ as they charge you for an additional paper cup.. what an absolute joke.. stores like this need a kick back as stuff like this is ridiculous.. what next?.. charge for a napkin..

Best place in Uxbridge. Cheap Korean food but good quality. Perfect is you want a quick bite.

Be careful how you ask the staff about your order, a guy put a laxative on the meal of a costumer who doesn’t like.

I really like the sushi from Kokoro, the Mini Maki Delight is my favourite sushi box, but have tried quite a few and all are good. (Photo is from take away order, combination of boxes and plated at home and take away Mini Maki box) The service is fine and usually pretty fast and polite. Cons: once they run out of sushi sets that’s it, so there have been times where I haven’t been able to get anything. Also, if you dine in, tables seem to stay dirty for quite a long time.

I felt a little strange eating here as the 2 staff seemed afraid, no eye contact, no communication at all throughout our orders. The dining area is nice, so 3 stars for that. I managed to eat 2 spoons of the spicy tofu noodles. I found the found pretty bland, not spicy and mediocre. Will not eat here here again.

I came to kokoro today at 8:20 and the employee refused to make me sit even though they are supposed to close at 8:30, but thats ok we still took our food for takeaway, the employee served 2 customers before us even though we ordered before them. Other than all of that the employee forgot to put the portion of shrimps and kept just one shrimp instead. The noodles used in yhe food isnt the same as the usual kokoro food, im a regular customer and i come to this shop every week but todays experience was a disaster and a disappointment.

Delicious food, excellent portion size. Price is reasonable, based on taste and portion size. Friendly staff. Will definitely purchase again.

This particular Kokoro is the very first one I have been to, I have visited others in the past. However, this joint have always been super friendly and always load their tubs up with food. I find their portions to be massive and can last most people to be their lunch and left overs to be dinner, making it great value. I go for the mixed option with their katsu chicken curry and their spicy chicken curry as well, with rice. It tastes fantastic and is guaranteed to make you full. I would highly recommend this place! The only downside is that the atmosphere can fluctuate, sometimes it could just be yourself in store which can be awkward when eating, however, this is rare since the store usually has quite a few people visiting it.

Teriyaki salmon and sweet chilli chicken

Have been ordering from this kokoro for a few years, the food is always nice, but inconsistent, some days its too spicy, not spicy, too salty, or bland. Some other Kokoros I've been to are also inconsistent. The sushi is usually nicer. Nice service and staff and good area to eat.

Received a disgusting order from this store. Beef bulgogi was dry, fatty and not as described. Ridiculous for £14, avoid.

First visit, the chicken katsu curry was so delicious. Very large portions and I can’t say enough good things about the service received today. Will be back soon.

Loved the food, I had a sweet chilli chicken bowl which was super tasty and nicely spicy. The price was very reasonable at £7.75. Located right in the middle of the busy town centre I would expect this place to be a little bit busier, maybe it was quiet as it was only midday. I recommend trying this place.

Tried Takeaway, heard a lot about the Chicken Katsu Curry . Hence ordered the same, The quantity justified the Price charged for the Said item and was totally worth it . i tried the chicken katsu curry with noodles and highly recommend the same alongside tired the Deep Fried prawns which were too oily and tasted Oki oki aswell. They also had Dorayakis in custard and Chocolate filled which are amazing 5/5

I’ve been here previously and the food is delicious. However today I left without getting any food. The staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. I waited in line for almost five minutes and whilst some were serving food, not one acknowledged I was waiting. Now even after this I was still prepared to stay however what I assume was a Deliveroo/Uber Eats etc Driver walked in and one of the staff let him know it’d just be a few minutes. I’m not certain why they acknowledged him but not me. It was incredibly poor service and I left because of it.

Very good noodles and rice, a large XL portion, for two people, you could say the sweet and sour chicken is very tasty, as is the beef in the sauce, delicious, I recommend it wholeheartedly

The sushi here is good every time. However I won't say the same for the hot food offered, for example the katzu chicken is too dry or the sweet and sour chicken is too sweet. The service is also hit and miss but the prices are reasonable.

Kokoro is one of the few places I do love to get a takeaway from it yummy and good quantitiy for price.

Food warmed up in the microwave is quite an unusual way to serve food. The staff is quite friendly but they look and treat you like you're an alien 🤷🏼‍♀️

I was hoping for much more. Sadly there's a very limited choice here and all the best Japanese dishes advertised on the website are not available. Food wasn't great and didn't feel fresh especially Katsu chicken. Gyoza dumplings were good but sweet and sour chicken was very gooey and mostly just terribly sweet. I really wish this place was better serving Udon and Teryaki as well as some seafood.

Kokora are the only restaurant who only offer 20p nhs discount. Shocking amount of discount offered when they can easily afford to offer 10/20% like other restaurants do. No more kokora for me then 😄

This is a fast food restaurant serving a very good Katsu curry with sticky rice or noodles. Limited buffet type menu, but there's plenty of it. Chicken or butternut so you get vegan and GF options. Other meals are sweet and sour chicken, etc. Eat in or take out.

My overall rating was high because you have to respect that they have a concept, stick to it and do it pretty well. 4 main dishes with either rice or noodles plus some extra bits if you're feeling adventurous. Good price for food on the go and ready to eat hot.

Best choice for Asian cuisine in the area. Cafeteria style grab and go makes it convenient and affordable, but the quality of food beats even the fancier spots in the area!

Though a small eatery, it is neat. The service is good and there are two major options with varieties. Rice or spaghetti. Tasty. I enjoyed the spicy carried chicken with white rice. Good place for a quick lunch or dinner at very moderate price.
