I felt like every part of my palate was tickled by the food here, enjoyable atmosphere and charming service too. Just great.

Incredibly delicious food and fantastic service. Went for a birthday meal, and we all had a very enjoyable afternoon. Thank you so much to Delroy and the chef for being so accommodating with my bread enquiry!

This is one of my favourite restaurants to visit in Peckham. The Kudu Bread is mouth watering and trying most dishes on the menu it’s hard to pick a favourite they’re all so good. One of my favourite things about the menu is they’re always adding new dishes and trying new things. Definitely recommend giving it a go!

Banging food, amazing atmosphere and music, couldn’t have gotten better service if we tried. Delroy was our server and he was brilliant, explained the menu and wine list very well and his recommendations were bang on! Would recommend to anyone!

Small, very buzzy place. What might once have been described as intimate - tables are quite close. Relaxed vibe. Very good food, excellent steaks, very well cooked. Starters were very good. Excellent desserts. Meat focused, so can't comment on vegetarian dishes. Red wines were a touch disappointing for a South African place. Service was great.

Not my first time but the food was so amazing, I just wish I could eat it all over again right now. Staff absolutely incredible, so friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I love this place!

Top notch! A special meal for a special occasion. The team were fantastic as we celebrated the birth of our daughter and the end of my paternity leave. The food was fantastic, and their renowned bread lived up to the billing! We were extremely grateful of the staff helping us with the little’un; either rocking her whilst we ate, or accommodating our pram and paraphernalia.

Absolutamente increíble comida en Kudu. Llegamos temprano para nuestra mesa y nos sentamos a tomar unas copas primero. Esto fue genial, ya que nos dio la oportunidad de mirar a través del menú y disfrutar del ambiente. El personal fue muy atento, amable y acogedor, lo que complementa la sensación acogedora y energizada del lugar. Nos sentamos en el bar y realmente disfrutamos de la interacción con los chefs. Prepararon la hermosa comida con pasión y facilidad, manteniendo una sensación de calma. De nuevo muy amable y acogedor. La comida... Biltong - delicioso. Pan con ambas mantequillas - increíble, pedimos otro pan, era así de bueno. Alitas de pollo - tiernas y a la parrilla hermosamente al mismo tiempo. Zanahorias - Increíble. Ensalada Raddicio con pera - Fresca y llena de sabor Onglet - Cocinado a la perfección, salsa de ternera hermosa reducción, mousse de trufa, hongos que eran dulces y crujientes en una gran manera, col a la parrilla, que sabía fresco y perfectamente cocinado. Exprimimos en un pudín de ganache de chocolate, muy sabroso y el final perfecto para la comida. Precioso champán y vino. Viendo el esfuerzo que supone la comida y sintiendo el cuidado del personal, creo que este restaurante ofrece mucho. No hay fotos, estábamos disfrutando demasiado! Absolutamente inolvidable comida!

Ate in the private dining space for my brother's birthday. Food was really really (really) good, multiple people exclaimed "oh wow" at the bacon butter. Definitely would eat here again

Great place for a fine dining experience. The food was fresh and tasty and served quickly. The bill did come to quite a bit more than we'd hoped for as the waiters recommend having a few dishes each.

Such a gem of a restaurant, one of my favourite in London now! Food was exceptional. The warm bread and melted butter and the smoked scallop ravioli were highlights. The truffled potato mash mousse and hispi cabbage combo that came with the main was incredible. Great South African wines. Service was attentive and efficient.

Heard a lot of good things about this place before coming, cant say I was disappointed but I wasnt impressed either. The starters in the set menu were nice however were snacks, and the mains were good but underwhelming and too salty (i love my food salty im usually criticised for adding too much but i needed my water after finishing). For a michelin restaurant I expected more, and the week i went I had been to a few other nice restaurants for some birthday dinners and considering the others were not michelin restaurants i found i was more impressed at those. Would not say it was bad either perhaps we didnt order the best things on the menu, but I wouldnt say I would come back (i thought the little kudu down the street was much better!).

Most gorgeous meal I’ve had since living in London. The food is full of flavour. A lovely menu, executed beautifully. Tentative, friendly service too. South Africans know what hospitality is all about!!! I really can’t recommend this restaurant enough.

Went in for the set menu. Changed my life. Unreal food. Super rich (and a tiny bit too salty) but left feeling very satisfied. Onglet steak was next level, as was the scallop ravioli, the brioche bread for starters I could have eaten four of them, and the dogs to finish were dreamy. Highly highly recommend. Shout out to the very friendly staff too.. 10/10 Ned ;)

Fantastic food, I especially loved the kudu bread and the chocolate ganache. Really a treat. My only minor complaint was that there was no budget conscious option for wine on the menu - glasses of wine started around £10

We really enjoyed the food and the service was exceptional. We were also offered excellent advice on our wine choice. We'll also be trying their other venues for sure.

Unfortunately, we had a disappointing experience here. Most of the dishes were very disappointing and overpriced. The service staff were nice but inattentive. We ended up having to complain after the chicken dish we ordered had loads of gristle in it. The waitress 'spoke the kitchen' and said the chef was 'really really sorry and it won't happen again', yet they still added the dish to our bill at the end. Not great a look for a high-end restaurant.

Absolutely incredible. This is now one of my favorite restaurants in London. Everything tasted exceptional. Don’t miss out on the bread and biltong as that was the perfect way to start our meal. The service was also great. The dining was lovely we sat outside in their garden and it felt like you were abroad. The sea. bass and lamb were insanely good. Absolutely loved it all and will be going back.

Absolutely amazing food. I have not tried South African cuisine before and was stunned by the flavours, authenticity and uniqueness of the dishes and presentation. Service was excellent too. The place is unassuming and by the look of it I would not have guessed how much goodness awaits you in there. Thank you, you made our day!

Unbelievable food with fantastic service and great vibe. Sit at the counter to watch the amazing chefs. Bread with the bacon (melted) butter was life changing, stuffed chicken wings a game changer. Will be back to try the whole menu!

Food was overly salted and bland. No seasoning, I went to take my sister here for her birthday. We was both disappointed. The places was also very noisy considering it’s dim lit. Staff didn’t come up to our table to ask if everything was ok. Rip off price,small portions and not tasty

Tuvimos una experiencia maravillosa para el cumpleaños de mi pareja en lo que creemos que es uno de los mejores restaurantes de Londres. Es un poco caro (£ 190 para cócteles, vino y tres platos para dos), pero la comida es fuera de este mundo. El servicio es fabuloso y el ambiente es muy íntimo. Sin duda recomendaría para una ocasión especial.

Is there a better experience on the Queens Rd, I will fight you. Hazel is a hero. Go for the butter and bread, stay for the onglet.

Oh the kodu bread is amazing. All our food was fabulous other than finding the lamb loin hard to get off the tendon. Needed a steak knife. It was quite rare. Staff were lovely and very friendly and attentive and because we mentioned the issue with the lamb we got the desserts for free. Not that we were expecting that because we did eat the lamb. The seabass was particularly lovely with a really fresh summery flavour.

Kudu in London is a culinary gem! This exceptional restaurant excels on all fronts - delicious food, vibrant atmosphere, and outstanding service from a wonderful team. The innovative, seasonal menu changes frequently, making every visit a new adventure. My tip? Order the whole menu - you won't regret it!

Great Restaurant, went mid week and great atmosphere, the staff were all amazing and best of all the food matched the service. Tried a variety of dishes and all of them hit the spot. Yes it's a bit pricier than other places in the area but you get what you pay for, which is quality. Highly recommended, you can thank me later for the recommendation. Now to try Kudo Grill!

Visited this place three times. Found the menu quite the same over the years. Looks like they're running out of ideas. The tongue dish was best but not on the menu anymore. The garden was opened this time and looks cosy and clean. Music too loud this time. Overall is ok just a bit pricey.

Super tasty, if spendy, food and drinks, though some dishes were stronger than others. A slightly broader range of options than at Kudu Grill, though I think I prefer the ambiance of the latter (perhaps because it's reminiscent of Smokey Kudu, which I greatly miss). I found the music overly loud and twiddly for eating to and given the house cocktails are bespoke it would be helpful to have some description of the ingredients and style rather than just the name.

Incredible rare flavours, great quality ingredients, friendly staff, lovely garden. Burrata was a bit bland but everything else outstanding.

Top marks all round. Nice atmosphere, friendly service, very good food and wine. Value for money slightly questionable on the Onglet to share, but it was cooked very well and came with tasty sides.

-Fantastic service! -Mostly great food, potentially marked down due to personal preference rather than quality of food (see below) -Burratta was a little bland, although some salt and pepper that we asked for elevated it at least 2 points. -Bread with 2 butters was fantastic. -Chicken hearts tasty but a little small. -All dishes could have been seasoned a little more to our taste. Overall a great experience, and looking forward to trying their tapas and grill restaurants.

Kubu in Peckham served up a dining experience that was equal parts impressive and mouthwatering. From the get-go, the menu had us intrigued, and boy, did it deliver! We kicked things off with the Kudu Bread, slathered in melted cultured butter and topped with house-cured bacon – talk about a flavor bomb! Then came the Smoked Prawn Eclair, a funky twist on a classic pastry that had us all nodding in approval. And let's not forget about the Beef Tartare, which was like a party in my mouth with its chicken liver parfait and smoked chilli. But the real stars of the show were the mains. The Cured Sea Bass was a delicate dance of flavors, with apple, pea, and horseradish stealing the spotlight. And the Rabbit Saddle? Oh boy, that confit leg was like heaven on a plate, and the asparagus and artichoke piccalilli were the perfect partners in crime. Now, about those African Carrots... While everything else was hitting all the right notes, these guys fell a bit flat. Sure, they were cooked perfectly, but the ras el hanout seasoning just didn't quite do it for me. They were a bit bland compared to the rest of the lineup. Overall, though, my night at Kubu was a hit. The Smoked Prawn Eclair and the Rabbit Saddle were definite highlights, and even though the carrots didn't quite hit the mark, I'd still be back in a heartbeat for another round of culinary delights.

Food was okay. Onglet was very tough and the greens served with it were very salty. Staff were lovely but were somewhat slow. The prawn éclair was amazing for sure, ordered one serving would defo order two for two people. Great flavours overall just didn't live up to the hype necessarily. Will definitely visit the other locations.

Yet another cracking experience at this fantastic restaurant. The food is consistently fantastic and the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Slightly on the pricey side, but you perfect for an occasional treat or special occasion.

Absolutely amazing, the best prime rib I’ve had in the last 18 months and the most delicious carrots I’ve ever eaten. Couldn’t fault a thing! Great service and ambience too!

If you like to be treated like a "cash cow" and do not care if they make you feel welcome or comfortable, this is the place for you. I booked online and prior to the date we were scheduled to go there, I was asked to confirm the booking TWICE via text and then I received a text with the confirmation of my booking. I was already put off by the "rules" as this showed what the priority of this restaurant is: getting as much money from each customer as possible. They emphasize that people only have 2h for dinner and that your table will be given away if you are more that 15 min late and that if you don't come, your card will be charged with £20 per person. Me, I understand when a spot is trying to make the most of the time when they are in demand, however, they are still a restaurant and people come there for a nice time and good food. I can't rate the food because we were treated so rudely that we left before ordering!!!! 30 minutes before the reservation time, another text came to say I was "due" at Kudu in 30 minutes. I already felt like a petitioner and they would do me a favor to have me.... My friend is pregnant and she was late, so we arrived at the place at 19:04. Our booking was for 18:45. At 19:04, I had a call from the "lead waitress" but I didn't answer because we were already there. She greated us with "I just called you" and "didn't you see my call". I hung up our coats and sat down and the first thing she then said was "we are already 20 minutes behind". Behind for what?? For the 5 courses SHE wanted us to purchase before the 2h are spent and we will be asked to leave??? This was when it was clear for me that our expectations towards each other could not be met. I had enough and decided that I would not stay there and be treated like someone "inferior" and after "my time is over" give them a lot of money. By the way, there is no other way to describe her tone other than RUDE. Their prices are on the higher side and they add a service charge of 13.5%. Me, I love giving a good tip IF the service was great and I don't mind higher prices as long as the quality of the food, the ambience and the service are all impeccable. I never left a restaurant before placing my order.

You can go there with your eyes closed, everything is good, perfect service and the staff is super friendly. 🙂

The hispi cabbage was difficult to eat along side the mushrooms with the latter being over seasoned . Only positive from the food side was the bread. Finally visited Kudu after being on my list for ages, and it exceeded expectations! It's some of the best food I've had in a while. Highlights were the gorgeous fluffy bread with the most delicious melted butter (i wish we had ordered the two butters), the smoked prawn ravioli, the onglet, and the incredible rhubarb dessert (I would go back just for this dessert!). The space itself is small, but comfortable , and service was fantastic. Highly recommend!

Coming for lunch set, and absolutely love it!! Not too big inside, but quite good vibes. And the food is stunning 😍 All the sauce for the main meal are so perfectly balanced. Particularly enjoyed the squid. Though Peckham is quite far for us we still wanted to leave 5 stars for the amazing experience here :))

My recent visit to Kudu restaurant was disappointing. We were seated in a corridor facing the toilets, which was not pleasant. Despite asking for a different table, we had to wait for 45 minutes before being moved. We explained our concerns to the manager, emphasising the importance of informing customers about table locations when booking. While they acknowledged our concerns, they still allowed us to leave feeling disappointed. Having previously enjoyed a positive experience at Kudu a year ago, this visit was underwhelming. While the food was satisfactory, it failed to leave a lasting impression compared to our previous visit. Paying premium prices for a meal should not entail being situated in a corridor next to the toilet. I’m writing this review to advise other diners to be careful when making their reservation about where they will be seated, especially when picking high top tables. It's a shame that despite our feedback, the manager didn't ensure our satisfaction. We won't be visiting again.

Kudu is beautiful and a very boujey spot in Peckham. Atmosphere, service and cocktails are great. The food is made very well, the only thing it is suffering from is trying to be too quirky which results in small expensive plates and items you order but might not like eg. Chicken hearts and cheese churos. Out of the 3 Kudus, Little Kudu and Kudu Grill I enjoyed more ☺️

This was an exceptional restaurant for those that want something slightly different but still of very good quality and good value. It was recommended by family to go after they went and thoroughly enjoyed! The set lunch menu is exceptionally good value for money as the quality is very good. The bread is to DIE FOR! It’s almost worth going for the bread itself! Staff were very welcoming, accommodating and clearly knew the menu, explaining the dishes in detail. A wonderful lunch…can’t wait to go again!

Been wanting to try Kudu for over 3 years and finally made it last night - it certainly did not disappoint. All the dishes were unique with their own burst of flavours! My favourite of the night would have to be the beef tartare - it reminded me of fresh ceviche except with beef. Highly recommend this for anyone who’s after something flavourful and to spoil the tastebuds! Will definitely try their sister branches in the future. The staff were all so attentive and friendly too which added to the experience. Thanks Kudu!

I don't normally bother leaving negative reviews, but have been awake most of last night being ill following a meal here and wasted my plans for today. My friend who ate the same meal as me was exactly the same, and our symptoms fit with mushroom poisoning for the type of mushroom in our main meal. We let the restaurant know and got a disappointingly defensive response saying nobody else had complained and listing the numbers of each dish they had sold. Granted I can't say 100% this caused us both to be ill in exactly the same way after eating the same food, but seems a pretty unlikely coincidence. Disappointing, and certainly wouldn't pay £75 each for the privilege again, even if the waitress was lovely!

The area is dodgy but this restaurant has great food & service. Highly recommend the Kudu bread and Onglet! Shout out to Ryan

What a great spot! Went for dinner on a Sunday, and it was great. Would definitely recommend the bread with seafood butter, prawn ravioli, and monkfish. The customer service was really nice and attentive. I am already thinking about my next visit there.

Wow, this place is amazing! The food is incredible, we were fortunate to try most of the dishes on the menu and the flavours are Michelin star quality. There was a lively atmosphere with great service. Can’t wait for our next trip.

Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. We had the Kudu bread and the biltong to start with, the beef tartare and the onglet as a main course. We didn’t have space for dessert, but it was my partner’s birthday and the staff brought us some sweets with a candle on it. Very sweet of them. Everything was cooked and presented to perfection, and the service was on point. Highly recommended

The chicken liver pate doughnuts were incredible, the kudu bread was decadent, the duck was perfectly cooked while the carrots and scallops also packed with flavour! Our first time at Kudu, Brilliant service, food and atmosphere! Had a lovely Valentine’s Day here.

One of my favourite restaurants in London! Been here 3 times and the food is consistently outstanding. Highly recommend the bread with butter and the Onglet, both of which I get every time. This time we also tried the Biltong and the cured trout which were both delicious. Service was great and my cocktail (kudu pear) was delicious too.

Food looked beautiful but taste wise the bread, small and medium plates were just mediocre. The mains (duck and monkfish for us) were very good though. The highlight of the night was avtually the staff and how helpful, friendly and warm they were.

This is an amazing place to visit, we were very lucky to just be able to walk in, might be best to book, and the team were great at juggling the reservations they had to enable us to sit down. We sat at the counter and had a great view in to the kitchen. The food was great, especially the peri peri chicken and the banana bread BUT everything we saw leave the kitchen or be cooked looked great. An deal place for a weekend brunch. The staff are part of why this place is so good, just the welcoming attitude and great advice - you can not put a price on being so welcomed regardless if this is your first time or your 100 visit

We've been thinking about try Kudu for some time, and finally made the journey from SW London. I found it good but not great. I think it is perhaps a victim of its own success. The staff were very engaged and helpful put probably overstretched because we were left without wine and service for too long. That's fine if the atmosphere is chilled but we were asked to move on promptly at the end of our 2 hour slot on a busy Friday night. The food is good. Highlight was the trout with corn and avocado. The pig’s head agnolotti was also dense and delicious. Chicken hearts were stunning. The bread is ok but well overpriced for what it is, similar for the Onglet- for £58 for two I'm expecting more.

The long awaited and legendary Kudu, it was super busy and great to see a local restaurant thriving as much as this, the staff were lovely and showed us to our table and explained how the menu worked and the favourites which was great, we stuck mostly to this. We had the bread to begin which is very good to say the least, and then the Parmesan churros which were good. We were advised to have the donut type things which we will have to try next time, the pigs head was incredible. As for the main, the onglet, we both felt that the mash type side was not the greatest and the truffle was a little over powering and that the steak was less than medium/rare, it was rare/blue which was a bit of a let down on the main but all in all it was a good meal, great staff and vibe too!

Wow what a taste sensation! Visited this resturant last night, never experienced South African cuisine, I wasn’t disappointed. The food was great. The vibe was great. The waiters were amazing such great service and a lovely warm welcoming atmosphere the south African wine and the margaritas went down well. Thanks soo much for a great evening. Absolutely love this place and possibly the best meal I've had in London. The food was so unique and beautifully presented, and the staff were attentive. A must try is their Kudu bread which melts in your mouth. I've been to a few Michelin starred restaurants and the food was definitely up there.

This is a hip place that is well-suited for dates and drinks. The portions are on the small side. However, they are beautifully styled and have great taste. The service is friendly, and the atmosphere is memorable. If anything, I would have a more extensive dessert selection. There is only a pavlova and a chocolate ganache on the menu.

Absolutely loved this place .the service and food was excellent Special note to Ryan,Del Roy and Cillan(chef). . Ryan was super attentive, and made us so special as did everyone else.this is a special date night We started with drinks and bread and seafood butter, it was outstanding brioche like with melted butter which was outstanding. Chicken hearts were beautifully cooked, a little spicy(it was peri peri,so thats on me) but fantastically cooked.. Everything was executed to perfection and loved the ambiance. My standout dishes were the carrots with goats curd and the scallops which were outstandingly cooked with the most amazing cape Malay and curry leaf sauce. Ok the chocolate ganache too.. you get the idea, it was beautiful This place has been on the list for so long and we will be back.

I cannot tell you how Kudu just was INCREDIBLE. The staff were amazing and so accommodating, the chefs were incredible and super chatty, especially - apologies if the name is wrong but i think her name was Anna? We had the BEST time and will 100% be coming back, we've recommended it to everyone already, thank you!
