La Fiorentina in Glasgow City

My family and myself visited for our Xmas Dinner, the restaurant was extremely busy and there was a really nice Xmas vibe. The waiting staff were working flat out ensuring all the tables were being attended to. The food we ordered varied across the menu and everyone enjoyed what they received. We all had the ribeye steak which given there was 6 adults with differing requirements were all cooked to perfection, we couldn’t fault them. Given the volume of patrons I felt the management and waiting staff coped admirably. I will be booking again for next year.

Went to La Fiorentina for Christmas dinner and it was delicious! Food and atmosphere was excellent, couldn't fault it!

Definitely not somewhere for Xmas. Huge restaurant, felt nice walking in to lovely staff greeting. Then after waiting nearly an hr our starters hadn't arrived. We had to go ask if it was nearly ready. Understand that the place was really busy. Ordered more drinks . They came quickly. Blunt knifes,I had to ask someone at my table to use theirs,that was alot better. I know rib eye comes with a but of fat but I was the unlucky 1 again. 3 tiny potatoes and small bit 🥦 that was it. Starters of mussels were great. Apple pie good. Waiters starters looking at the watch,another sitting needed the table Felt rushed to finish drink. Definitely too many diners,crammed in.

Christmas night out in La Fiorentina was as always a perfect night , can’t fault the food and the service , thank you guys.

I just love this restaurant. The staff are fantastic and so friendly. The food is always amazing, portions are huge and excellent value. Will be back soon!

Been coming here for years for takeaway (decades even), I'm on the way, 25 minute drive and they aren't answering the phone, turned up and was told they were too busy go away! Thanks for nothing Addendum .... Aw, that's a wee shame your disappointed, you know who was disappointed first? Why don't you jump in your car drive the 25 minutes up to mine and I'll open the door and tell you I'm too busy to listen to your "Non Apology" because there are other more important sounds within earshot! Can you add to your website "Although we advertise Takeaway, please note: Only if we feel like it!"

Had lunch with my wife on Friday and found everything about this restaurant first class from the really friendly staff to the delicious food and excellent service. I will definitely be back

I booked a table for five to have a dinner at 7pm. I live ten minutes away from the restaurant and have passed it many times so was looking forward to seeing and tasting this local restaurant. The outside of the restaurant is nicely decorated with the twinkling lights on the window and the inside was warm and welcoming with many tables and it was quite busy. I booked the table for 5 the day before as the online booking would not take more than 4 which was surprising. When we got there we were taken to the table which was only suitable for 4 people with an extra chair added to the end of the table. My partner wasn’t happy as it would be difficult to eat at such a small table. We told the waitress that we weren’t happy and after a few minutes she told us that there was a round table which we could have after the diners have left. After a while we moved the table. The food itself was good but there were a few issues. I am reviewing everything we had. For starters the rosemary focaccia (FOCACCIA AL ROSMARINO) was excellent and very generous portion . The calamari (CALAMARI FRITTI) was slightly chewy. The bruschetta was very good. ARANCINI was good also. For mains, three of us had POLLO GRANDUCATO and the chicken breast coated in light breadcrumbs, pan fried & topped with tomato Napoli sauce, fresh Mozzarella was very good but the tagliatelle in a cream & wild mushroom sauce was overcooked which was disappointing. Two of us TORTELLI with porcini’s mushrooms was nice but overcooked also. For dessert, we had tiramisu which was lovely, affogato which was very good, cannoli very delicious and lemon sorbet which came in a Prosecco glass (not sure about this would be better if this was served in a different glass as it was odd to eat out of narrow glass). Overall a good visit and we will come back again but hope some of our feedback could be looked at by the restaurant team.

I booked this place last minute before a concert at the Hydro. We had never been before but will definitely return. We where welcomed by all the staff. The waiter Antonio, was very attentive without being overly involved. All the waiting staff where attentive and made our dining experience a memorable one. The food was very tasty and good sized portions. Very good value for money. Will be back pre gig again. Highly recommended 👌

Went for early pre gig dinner with my best friend. Food was very tasty, nice wine, lovely anmbience and staff very friendly. We both had the spaghetti with king prawns, scallops and mussels served in a foil swan! Delicious despite them forgetting to add the cherry tomatoes. They were very apologetic and kindly knocked the desserts off the bill. Would definitely go back if we were in the area again.

We ate here on a Saturday evening. The food was very tasty. We chose from the two course weekend special menu, I had the scallops to start, which were beautifully cooked and delicious, followed by lasagne al forno, which was very tasty. The coffee was good, as you would expect from an Italian restaurant. It was busy with family parties. The service was very good, and it had an authentic Italian feel.

Here for our anniversary, and it was exceptional. Particularly our starters were phenomenal and I thought portion size and value was first class. Wonderfully decorated and staff were amazing. Would love to return again.

We had meal here before we went to concert. They had a really good choice on their 2 course menu. Food was lovely and big portions. Cocktails good. Will be back again

Wat een heerlijk restaurant! Je wordt ontvangen alsof je familie bent. Gastvrij en gul. Het eten is verrukkelijk, en de kaart heeft volop keuze. De gerechten worden op origineel Italiaanse wijze bereid. Bij een volgend bezoek aan Glasgow gaan we zeker hier weer eten.

La Fiorentina is just the best! We ordered a couple of pizzas and they were delicious as always.

I ordered at 7.30pm and the delivery time kept changing I called them at 9.05pm to be told they had no driver and had been trying to contact just eat I called again because they close at 9.30pm and they told me that the driver had just arrived and they wouldnsendnit out by this time the restaurant was closed and all of the food sent had been reheated and were inedible .absolutely disgusting

Food is great but I had asked for a wee bit of Parmesan as couldn’t see anywhere on menu to add it which they didn’t add and sent me a 200ml glass bottle instead of a 330ml can. Wouldn’t have mentioned the bottle if they’d added a wee bit of Parmesan. Just bit disappointing

Wow! What an absolute delight! Out of the 1000's of Italian places we've tried, I've got to say that this is top tier amazing! Top quality, top taste, top class! Honestly astonished as to why there is not people queuing down the street to get a table here! Just to add, we had to re-visit the next day to check out the lunch menu, it did not disappoint! The classic bolognaise was absolutely divine! And the bruschetta was the best we've had by far!!

This was my birthday treat from my daughter, son in law and wee Freddie my Grandson. I picked the restaurant as it was pretty near the science centre. Wow! What a fabulous experience. We were welcomed by a lovely lady who showed us to our table and gave us the menus. She brought some water to the table then a lovely gentleman took our order. There was so much to choose from I could have been there all day! I took advantage of the two course lunch menu for £12.95, I had King prawns with chilli, garlic bread and some small cherry tomatoes, absolutely delicious. I don’t know what the chef done to the tomatoes but they were fabulous! I then had beef with peppercorn sauce, roast potatoes and broccoli, accompanied by a very nice Pino Grigio, again first class. The rest of the family had Arancini, lasagne and the biggest Calzone I have ever seen! Wee Freddie had chicken nuggets and chips however these were proper chicken strips not your usual supermarket rubbish. The staff also brought him some crayons and a colouring in sheet and made a point of making a fuss of him and interacting with him every time they passed the table. I think the special menu runs all week but at different times so it’s worth checking depending on when you want to go. There was a small surcharge for the prawns and the beef on the special menu but that was to be expected. All in all a definite 10/10. Great knowledgeable Italian staff, excellent food and a great ambiance! All in all a fabulous experience with great staff, fabulous food and a great atmosphere. We don’t live in Glasgow but we will definitely return. Regards, JIM.

Lovely meal great portions and service was excellent. I took the grandkids along and they had the 2 course kids menu and enjoyed it. Nice touch giving the kids some colouring to do which kept them busy.

Needed a nearby restaurant at short notice and picked La Fiorentina at random. Boy were we lucky. Food was wonderful, staff were warm and friendly attentive and professional. I swear they knew what we’d order it arrived so quickly. Prices are surprisingly good for such amazing food and service and I asked if I could take the chef home. From the outside you would never know there’s a little gem of a restaurant inside. Easy to see why it’s award winning. Well done!

Family of 9 in attendance. 1 staff member was lovely, the lady who was serving us some of the time. The rest not very nice at all. Felt very rushed. Asked twice for us to get our drinks order when we had explained we were waiting for 2 more people. Some of the starters were nice, but some were disappointing. All bread was soggy. Pate was the most awful I've ever tried. Looked a really strange colour and tasted even worse. As I say, the staff didn't seem approachable, so we didn't say. The fact that they didn't question why it wasn't touched when taking it away said it all. Main dishes again, some fine, none amazing, some disappointing. Pastas nearly blew the mouth off 2 of the party. Spagetti was average. Had much better. The beef on the top side was tough. It was overall average and a disappointing night for most of the party. It was okkkkk, but I've been to quite a few nicer places. Would highly doubt we will be back.

I've been coming here since 1990 and it's has always been terrific. I was so glad it's reopened. I've been. Twice in the last 2 weeks! The lunch menu is amazing value. The pate is the best I've ever eaten. The staff are warm and friendly , service is prompt and everything is done with a smile. Since the refurb it's cosy and inviting. I'll be back again very soon.

Food was nice, however I would have liked to try it with a bit of heat everything was stone cold, I don't mind cold pizza however I like to let it go cold in my own time. Ah well.

Stay in Glasgow for a few day and spotted this restaurant. Very friendly staff. We went on a Sunday evening and had a lovely meal, couldn't fault. May well come back as not far from the hotel.

Our favourite and only Italian restaurant in Glasgow we go to. Always friendly staff, delicious food and reasonable prices. We have been spreading word for this restaurant as a 'Must try!'. Their mozzarella sticks and pate are amazing and our usual starters. I tend to go for frutti di mare pasta or risotto as it's almost like how my dad is making it at home.

Had a four cheeses pizza. It was a little bit boring. Would have been better with gorgonzola or with tomato sauce for some more character. Also tasted some of my table mates dinners. Not bad, but also a little basic. Service is very good though.

On the just eat app . The pizza said buy 1 get 1 free but only got 1 pizza

I nice building with good atmosphere. Had a pasta starter (Amatriciana) and steak for main. Pasta was really nice and the steak was well cooked, plus the peppercorn sauce was excellent. The wife’s garlic mushrooms, while nice was almost too garlicky so watch out for that. While recommended.

The staff are warm, welcoming and friendly. The food was hot, fresh & delicious. The restaurant is clean, has a lovely atmosphere and I really liked the traditional, authentic decor and the lighting gave it a really nice ambience. I had the pate and the tagliatelle al salmone and both were DELICIOUS and presented beautifully. I also enjoyed 3 of their incredible summer spritz cocktails. Great value for money too. I can't wait to go back!

Excellent restaurant. We ate very well there (in fact we were there twice in a row). The staff was very kind and helpful. The quantities were generous and at very reasonable prices. I recommend.

The first thing I noticed was the friendly, warm welcome from the staff. We are on vacation from the US and are currently in Glasgow with our son, his wife, and our 16 month old grandson. We walked in and were immediately seated. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was absolutely amazing. I can see why they have so many awards and great reviews.

The linguine kp, nduja and asparagus is a new dish (as the waiter told me) and is to dream about!! It's fine, nothing special but seems clean, food decent and staff lovely. Just no extra special points nor food that was much better than what one could make at home.

Beautiful meal from the lunch menu. So good that I forgot to take a main course picture. Arancini & meatballs to start. Pasta principessa and Pollo Milanese for main with proper garlic bread. Two strawberry mess, two coffees and two liqueurs plus a bottle of wine all for £83. Outstanding quality and value. This place hasn’t changed since I first came here in the late 90’s. Due to close for a fortnight in early July for a refurb. Highly recommend a visit here.
