La Piazza 2 in Richmondshire

Very disappointed ! The approach to the front was the beginning of our disappointing visit. Door mats rolled, not unlike the entrance to a scrap yard. As we continued inside, the dining room has absolutely nothing Italian about. Just tired fittings and upholstery. We were promptly served by the staff. When I tasted the main is was shocking. It was more like a cheap cafe than an Italian restaurant. I ordered a sea food pizza which tasted of nothing. On a pre prepared base, nothing like a pizza base. Tomato sauce with no taste, topped with the cheap nasty cheese. The seafood whilst there was awful. If you like and enjoy your food, don't visit here.

Went to La Piazza for our works Christmas dinner. The Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Food was truly scrumptious and enjoyable- I had Surf and Turf- truly devine. The Lemon sponge was super tasty and really fluffy. Malbec was great. Thank you to Poppy and the staff.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at La Piazza and I can confidently say it was an incredible experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a cozy yet modern vibe that made us feel right at home. Whether you're there for a casual meal or a special occasion, the ambiance is perfect for all occasions. Food was excellent.

really good service, friendly and helpful especially as my friend is dairy and gluten intolerant. The young woman who served us talked her through which meals she could order safely. The restaurant and toilets are very clean. The young man who sorted out our bill at the end of a fantastic meal was again friendly and helpful. The price was around 12.00 each and I had so many prawns in my lovely creamy pasta dish!!

One of our favourites, it's a very welcoming place, always clean and warm and really busy & lively on weekends. Mid week evenings can be quiet and it's a nice to enjoy a peaceful meal together. Great service and the food is excellent, never had any issues and have visited many times.

Visited for friends birthday, a party of 12. We were attended to politely and with respect throughout our stay. The food was served all together, hot and tasteful, it was very good. The only gripe is that we were seated in a room on our own. It would have bean better in the main room to have more atmosphere.

My wife and I always enjoy visiting La Piazza. Last visit we went with a couple of friends and the time before with my brother and his wife for a special anniversary meal. A meal at La Piazza is always good whatever the reason for going. We particularly enjoy it if we are tired and pop in on the way home from babysitting or after a holiday. it's the perfect spot. Lovely food, no hassle, top service and great value. Visited this weekend - still superb and catered for our 5 grandchildren with no bother at all.

We were visiting Richmond and booked a table here in advance. On entering the restaurant we gave our name (no welcome) and a guy picked up some menus and walked off, we didn’t even know we were supposed to follow him. He proceeded to throw the menus on the table and walked away. Our drink order was taken, our food order was taken, other than that no member of staff even bothered to speak to us. My risotto was stone cold and I tried for 10 minutes to attract someone’s attention to let them know but could not. I left it on the plate. When the staff member came to clear the plates, she noticed I hadn’t eaten any and asked if there was a problem and I said it was cold. She did apologise and say they were really busy (huge table of around 30 in the other room) and took the meal off the bill but the service overall was atrocious and I left the restaurant having eaten some bread. My husbands food was lovely however we wouldn’t return here and wouldn’t recommend it.

Not sure if we chose badly or the food just wasn't great. So will leave that one there. The dessert was delicious. Drinks were OK and service was good and polite! Bit loud but it was busy.

Good food and excellent service

Stayed in Richmond for the week in September and this was by far the best meal of the week, both me and my wife agree on that. I had bruschetta to start, my wife had the potato skins, then I had Pollo Toscano and my wife had the Spicy Risotto and everything was fantastic really, a beautiful meal, nice wine and a lovely atmosphere (busy) brilliant service and very reasonable price. Without a shadow of a doubt if we are ever in that area we would be back in a flash. 10 out of 10!

The service was excellent. We were early diners at 12 pm, so there was nobody else in at this time. Food we had pizza, which was nice, but just far too much garlic. So, I will make sure I ask for less garlic next time.

Fantastic Italian food. We had mushrooms, tempura prawns, cannaloni, spicy beef tagliatelle, tiramisu, and cheesecake and a nice rose wine. Yummy! We shall return. Rare to find somewhere so good these days. Many thanks for making the last day of our holiday so enjoyable. We didn't take photos as we were so keen to eat!. Returned two years later. 2024- October. Still excellent food - took photos this time. Their pasta is excellent, the tiramisu the best ever! Staff delightful and attentive. Had mixed bruschetta, cannelloni, ravioli, tiramasu. Gosh all was amazing. We will be back in a year! TU for being brilliant.

Owners have much improved this airy restaurant. Excellent freshly cooked food, nice red wines from Puglia and great service from friendly well trained staff. Good choice of daily specials add variety to excellent menu

Lovely place with friendly helpful staff. Food was average had to send back my steak due to it being very chewy. Staff were very quick to get it sorted for me. However I probably go back .

For locals ONLY. Watched tables get waited on and served whilst we sat. Asked for a refills on wine and beer plus a dessert menu and watched tables on either side get menus, order, be served, eat and get thier bill, and we never received a dessert menu. Or refills.We had to go to the front to ask for our bill after sitting for 30 minutes . Seems locals take precedence. Food was just ok. Go to to 29 instead, they serve without prejudice. Note: here two days to hike and enjoy our visit. We are foodies and world travelers. This establishment ruined our evening and stay. Can not recommend this place at all. Eat elsewhere

Food was lovely and reasonably priced we all had a three course meal. Calamari, lamb shank, mushroom risotto, the desserts I would highly recommend. Staff were amazing and attentive. Will defo go back next time I am in Yorkshire

Been in the area for 15 years and this is the first time we have visited. Brought my parents here and we throughly enjoyed it. Great atmosphere Great service Great environment Great menu options. Week Sunday went for lunch the pate was the worst no flavour on the wrong type of bread could not eat either.the stuffed mushrooms were full of grease left too the main was running grease from the cheese etc very disappointed as had traveled quite away to report back to others to try

This used to be my favourite restaurant. It's a bit hit and miss now . Service okay food okay . Wanted to order king prawn tempura was told tempura now breaded menu needs changed as breaded isn't tempura . The main meal was served with skinny fries rather than the chunky usually served .

Really enjoyed our spur of the moment meal, we both chose Pizza for our main courses which were delicious, we especially liked the thin and crispy bases. We shared a mixed Bruschetta stater which were tasty and enjoyed the accompanying wine and beer. We thought the prices were reasonable and the service was friendly and attentive. Would go again.

Super ordinary , pretty soulless. Service was terrible , had to leave the table and ask too order food and for drinks. Food below par , pizza base stodgy and poor fillings. Pasta dish slimy , bolognaise my daughter gave it a 3/10 ( she’s had hundreds of them ) I paid cash. I left a tip , by mistake … as we couldn’t wait too get out of the place and left my change there !!

It was a quiet day so no atnosphere. An italian restaurant should have good coffee and in the 21st century respect people who cant drink milk.

Booked for our evening meal Saturday past and was not disappointed. Great ambience, very spacious. The staff are very welcoming, friendly, and attentive. we didn't wait long after being seated menus first, then drinks a few minutes later, and we ordered the starter garlic mushrooms 🍄 awesome, then the pepperoni pizza 🍕 and I had the languene picante again to superb dishes hot 🔥 well presented and plenty. Now, not knowing my Italian, and as I found out later, via Google Picante stands for very spicy sausage, what it should say is very hot 😜 spicy sausage that aside two great dishes. We will return, maybe not for the picante, though.....🍕🍄🍕🍄🍕

This restaurant consistently delivers tasty value for money meals but was let down by sheer carelessness. I told the server about an allergy to eggs. She checked with the kitchen that my choices were egg free. Then my starter was served with a dish of garlic mayonnaise. Disappointing and potentially dangerous.

Fantastic afternoon spent at La Piazza celebrating an 80th Birthday. Excellent service, which catered for our party of 31! Food amazing, service was flawless - nothing was too much trouble.

First time visitors to the area so thought we thought we would give this place a try, and we were not disappointed. It's very well laid out and the staff were very polite as they took you to the table. Drinks were brought quickly after the order was taken . The food was nice and hot and was very tasty. Not much gap between courses which was not to my liking as I do prefer a bigger gap but maybe should have said. All in all well worth the visit and would recommend

Lovely looking restaurant, but the food was awful. My partner had a Margharita pizza, the whole thing was tasteless. I had mushroom risotto which despite being topped with parmesan cheese, was still tasteless. I added alot of salt and pepper, but it was still bland. We mentioned this to the waiter who just said "OH" no further come back. The wine was nothing special, pinot grigio which, is hard to go wrong, but it wasnt great.. Very disappointing.

Some of the workers kept asking us if we were happy and we appreciated it, the food was a immediate 10/10, delicious and we might come again, amazing restaurant.

Big deal. Little atmosphere. Asked 5 times if the windows could be a little closer. The napkins just blew off the table. Food was good. Quick service. A bit of a shame that the dessert in question was no longer available.

We loved our meal in La Piazza 2, the food and service was excellent. The pizzas were delicious and the pepper chicken was out of this world. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The price was good value for the quality of the food. Will come back.

The best restaurant I have been to for a long time. The staff were friendly helpful and very courteous and efficient. The food was delicious. We had cheese garlic bread (to die for), followed by Pollo Kiev and Pollo/ asparagus and drinks. Too full for desert. And to top it off Great value for money - worth every penny. Highly recommended and would strongly advice to pre book

This is the best place I have been to for a meal in a very long time. The staff were nice, pleasant, and approachable. A great choice of meals. We had a cheese garlic bread as a starter. It was delicious, I think it rates in my top 3 best garlic bread. Pollo Kieve and Pollo asparagus very, very nice highly recommended. And great value for money. Sorry but I can't find the photos my wife took

Best pizza around! FACT! We go here for all our special occasions, even my daughter chose to go here for her 10th birthday. I always order the hot & spicy pizza coz it's amazing Pasta is lovely and the starters are really good. All the staff are really nice

Ate lunch here today with friends and our toddlers/babies. The food was very yummy and they catered to our various food allergies (dairy-free etc). Portions were very generous even the kids portions! Would definitely come back again, as they cater for large crowds and food is delicious!!

Me and my fiance have been here a few times after visiting Parker’s prestige. We were dropping a log book off at Parker’s and we’re going to come in after for lunch as we do. We got told off for parking in the car park and got told to move it even though we were going to dine here for dinner. This made me not want to give the restaurant our business so we left instead.

One of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. There were 11of us ( 4 young children) and every meal was excellent. Service was great, food was piping hot, food arrived in good time. Price was very competitive too. Those of us who had pizzas said it was the best base they’d ever had. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Richmond.

Starter I had brushetta was the worst I have ever eaten. Soggy and wet bread was horrible and mushy, with no flavour. Mains, I had a T-bone now that was beautifully cooked and tender. Chips were raw and not cooked. Was such a shame. The staff were nice, the atmosphere was good and drinks nice.

The steak here is to die for the best I’ve had in a long time. Service and food was exceptional We went with our grandchildren just before valentines as a treat, they had pizza and loved it , the staff boxed what was left to take home. I throughly recommend
