Great atmosphere and we could relax without being rushed (unlike C...e N.ro opposite who were desperate to close!). Great coffee and herbal tea. Cakes looked lovely , for next time! Friendly staff and clean loos

Surprised to see so many good reviews as our experience was so disappointing. Having noted that a full English on the menu was priced @ £12.95 I expected great things for a coffee shop on Old Christchurch Road. Out of our three meals, that was okay although the egg was over cooked. The muffin with fried egg and bacon was pathetic - tiny muffin (fair enough) but no effort with the presentation and it was dry, again with an overcooked egg. I ordered bruschetta with mozzarella. Assumed it would be open bread with plenty of fresh tomatoes, garlic and a generous amount of mozzarella. Wrong - it was apparently the non Italian bruschetta. This resembled a slice of thick Italian soft bread, no tomatoes, pesto apparently drizzled on it, and tiny cubes of mozzarella. I accept that maybe I should have asked rather than assume and the waiter offered to add tomato which I accepted. Still ended up tasteless, given how easy a dish this is to pack with flavor we were surprised. I’m no chef but know that garlic and fresh basil goes a long way at an Italian restaurant. Add to this dirty tables and only one other family in the restaurant when we walked in, I should have read the signs. On the positive the coffee was great and the decor cosy and comfortable. What a shame I was quite excited to be trying somewhere new which gave such good vibes but won’t be going back…sorry to be blunt but people need to know what they’re paying for and it’s not difficult to produce decent quality breakfast/brunch dishes. We could have eaten better at the Harvester.

We chose this cafe because it was one of the only independent coffee shops that we could find. There were no hot drinks on the menu displayed in the window but I still didn't expect to pay GBP7.50 for 2 coffees - and they certainly weren't the best we had ever had. The service wasn't impressive either - the waiter failed to understand 'Americano' - we would have been much better at a chain directly across the road. Really not impressed.

Wow, what a lovely place. We had vouchers from groupon for a two course meal. Unlike other places they did not give us a different menu for our voucher, we were able to order anything with a couple of exceptions (however could of ordered these for a very small extra payment) Fantastic staff, really friendly and helpful. Delicious food. Restaurant is clean, comfortable and has a relaxed atmosphere. We felt relaxed and well looked after! We will certainly be back and recommend this lovely place. Well done La Strada!

We got a voucher online to go and have a meal here. We presented the voucher on arrival and were accepted without a booking which was nice. However, the wait for the food was a little longer then expected with the low No. of customers there. When the meals did arrive, having ordered our usual from the menu we found it lacked taste and did not live upto the other reviews on here. Felt underwhelmed and even though we had a member of staff ask how it was we didn't have the heart to complain.

We had the Groupon deal for 4 people. 2 courses. Lovely setting and atmosphere. Rose our host made us very welcome. Food was delicious. We had pasta and a burger. Also some garlic bread and olives. For dessert we had fresh homemade tiramisu, the best I have ever had delicious! Overall great value homemade Italian food, would definitely recommend. Thanks for having us we will certainly be back.

Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at La Strada with another couple. It was via a Groupon voucher and our waitress/server Rose couldn’t have been more helpful. Rose was attentive, welcoming and truly helpful. A great experience, great food and would definitely recommend and return!

We were not sure what to expect from this Italian restaurant as we had booked our table on line and were just visitors to Bournemouth but OMG we definitely made a great choice, the restaurant is lovely with a nice atmosphere, the food was delicious I had carbonara and it was the best I have ever had, the service was first class and friendly the staff were attentive but did not rush us, the restaurant is just off the main square in Bournemouth up a small street 67 old church road Bournemouth not easy to find but well worth finding, so if you are in the area look up La Strada, we will definitely book there next time we are in the area.

Fantastic evening with very good pasta and pizza Rose very helpfull and kind with all our travel problems. The best exsperience we had to end our holiday.

Highly recommended. They have completely changed their menu now serving Italian food with fresh pizza and pasta being made on the premises. A lovely place to eat quality food with good wine and great service.

Had lunch here today with my wife and little girl. One of the best pizzas we have ever had. Lovely wine chocolate and milkshake also. Spotlessly clean and friendly service. Highly recommend this place.

There must be nearly 50 coffee shops in Bournemouth now, but for me this one is the best. Relaxed and friendly, with good service, a smile and some good food options! And the coffee was mega! Will definitely visit again.

Very well decorated, clean and comfortable cafe on two levels. Excellent coffee and the croissants were warmed. Highly recommended but the toilets are upstairs if you're not fully mobile.

The cafe is really comfortable and homey, the owner is really nice and friendly and makes sure we have everything we need whenever we visit. The food is really good quality and the drinks are also really nice. I recommend for breakfast or dinner!
