Had a good time here and had decent meal. The chicken was really well cooked and i enjoyed it. My partner also enjoyed it. We will be coming back again. Really friendly staff and good service. Tasty food.

Orderd food from here and to be quite honest won't be ordering again chicken wings we're plain with a little bit of sauce on them over the top. Chips were not skin on chips just normal French fries from supermarket and salad was not nice Over all very bad experience Orderd from darlington spent 58 pounds

Glad I didn't see the reviews before I ordered. Delivered very fast nice and hot. Cooked very well very tasty indeed. Sweet potato fries were lovely and a large portion. Onion rings were very nice and the burgers were delicious. I will definitely be ordering again.

Ordered food came it was cold and didn't taste very nice . Very poor . Don't go. Spent £38 . Really very bad quality. . Don't waste your money there is so many nicer places to get food from . 0 stars . Worst takeaway I've ever had

The chicken burger was raw in the middle! the sauce on the burger was incorrect, the 'korean flavour' is just your average spiced chicken with extra pepper, the wings where tiny and the onion rings where soggy. The only good part was the fries and they were just warm and overpriced for how many you get. (I don't live far away from the restaurant so food shouldn't get that cold that quick)

Not Korean but tastes quite good. Chicken is very tender and buns are very soft. Would certainly order again.

I waited an hour for what is basically stone cold cheey chips. None of the other ingredients listed were added it was just basic fries with cheese and siracha, clearly made immediately and then just sat for an hour before being sent for delivery. Refund already requested.

Ordered Deliveroo from them. To my knowledge this is not what Korean Fried Chicken supposed to look like at all. But it tasted alright anyway so probably fair 3⭐️

Although the meal was tasty and ok........ this used to be a warm friendly fun place to go for quick food. Seems to have lost that ambience now and the service was slow where before was super efficient, the food was ok where it used to be excellent. Tasted like it have been made earlier and reheated

We used to visit regularly, courtesy of Tesco vouchers, though we'd have gone without that incentive. The staff were always pleasant and the food was fine as Spanish adapted to an English palate (there was never enough oil for my taste). Sadly, it's closed.

Stayed in Durham weekend of 27/04/19 and chose this restaurant based on the menu. So glad we did. Waitress was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and ingredients. The food was faultless, Tasty, hot and freshly made. Paella mixi was the highlight. Also the cost was not excessive so great value too. Well done la Tasca and waitress, the real life Lara Croft & archaeologist.

My partner and I had dinner here over the weekend and it was fantastic! The staff were brilliant; so helpful, friendly and attentive, plus the food was just gorgeous! Everything was freshly prepared and so tasty- there was nothing we didn’t like. The 2 for 1 cocktails were an added bonus; they were lovely and we certainly enjoyed having them in addition to our dinner! We were also expecting a very hefty bill, but were very pleasantly surprised when we received it- excellent value for money. Would absolutely recommend La Tasca to anyone visiting Durham.

We went on an evening when the oven had broken down but they still had plenty of options on offer. Service is very friendly and the food was lovely and authentic. Nice cocktails and great churros for an informal night out.

My husband and I visited La Tasca on a Saturday night with our one year old daughter and had a fantastic night! The food and drinks were absolutely gorgeous but the staff made it better than just your average visit. Milla and Roy were so attentive and helpful, they were brilliant when ordering food for our daughter and were so lovely chatting to her and entertaining her.

Food was amazing. They have a few new dishes which are work a try, especially the Hake dish...wow!! The staff were so friendly, Roy served us, he was great, which makes the experience even more worthy. Cannot fault it at all. Try the Sangria, you won't be disappointed

The tapas was brilliant so tasty and diverse. Gemma our server tonight was brilliant and was very helpful. Made us very comfortable and enjoy the experience that bit more!So satisfied off the food and already looking forward to coming back while still sat here finishing our sangria. The recent visit to La Tasca in Durham was a good one. I have not been here before, so was pleasant surprised at the good quality tapas dishes and reasonable value for money.The staff are very pleasant and efficient, no problems.Would highly recommend this place.

Being here and good few times nowhen and we have always found the Food to be great and the service and staff are fantastic.

Family birthday meal. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Good selection of tapas. Also good selection of Spanish beer available. Food was good and enjoyable. Deserves another visit

This restaurant has a fairly large menu of tapas, and great happy hour specials before 7pm including £9 bottles of wine and sangria. We enjoyed a mix of tapas - cheesy garlic bread, beer battered fish with aioli, potatas bravas, pedro ximenez ribs (these were excellent), padron peppers and goats cheese and spinach croquettes. All were good, as were the churros. Along with happy hour wine, came to around £50 which was pretty good value. Would go back.

I love Tapas but unfortunately didn’t rate the dishes here. Some of the dishes came out piping hot as though it just came from the microwave and two other dishes were hot on the outside and cold in the middle. We ordered the wine a Pinot and it was like drinking paint stripper, that's the only way I can describe it.

It was an incredible meal as shown in the photos. I ate in both Barcelona and Sevilla,I must say this is almost as good as the food in Spain.

Just looking for somewhere to eat and chat and fancied some tapas. What a super find La Tasca was - welcomed by friendly staff and seated swiftly. Our waitress Milla then arrives and is both friendly, helpful and gave us time to choose (amongst all the chatting we were doing). Milla guided us through some menu choices that really suited our evening (including the bread board, vegetarian tabla and sangria) and the application of happy hour discounts finished the evening off beautifully. Certainly will be returning here again!

After half a dozen visits over recent months it's time I said a few good words about this lovely little restaurant.

I went to La Tasca on a very busy night and had delicious food and excellent service. My server (Milla) was friendly and efficient. There were a surprising number of vegetarian and vegan-friendly options, which was great. I would certainly recommend this place.

Visited on a Tuesday night in February. The host who seated us was lovely and made us feel very welcome. The waiter was quite rude and impatient and made us feel very pressured to order quickly, eat quickly and leave. The food is okay if not a little over priced, I enjoyed my veggie paella whilst my partner's tapas was only okay. Chocolate orange tart is delicious. The place is nicely decorated but we were sat at quite a small table and struggled to fit everything on it. Would maybe visit again

We arrived a little earlier than our 6:30pm reservation but nevertheless were seated almost immediately. Our server Mila was outstanding, she gave us time to choose our tapas (just as well because there was sooo much choice that even my 11yo and picky 13yo found lots to like!) and clearly explained any menu queries. The atmosphere was good but the background music was a little too noisy for regular conversation over the table.

Excellent service, great gluten free help and availability. Many gluten free options or availability to adapt food to suit.

Food just ok if not a little expensive for what we received and service ok. Would return if using a 2-1 voucher only

Stopped in Durham on 1 Feb - it was snowing which added (surprisingly) to a great experience. We were looking for a gluten free restaurant in the city centre - what a great choice - there was a menu which had ample gluten free options - the restaurant wasn't busy - but that was probably the weather - the surroundings were nice and ambience was good too. The waitress - Joanne - was very helpful and understood the gluten free requirements - we had a bottle of house wine - paella - and tapas consisting of 3 x humus and breads - sheep's cheese with quince jelly, chorizo in red wine and a g/f chocolate orange cake with ice cream - food was delicious - and excellent value for money - just a little over £50. Planning to come back to Durham in a few months time and will certainly return.

Always lovely tapas and such great choice. We visited in November so the restaurant looked very festive ready for Christmas.

This was my first time at the restaurant. I found out about by searching restaurants near my hotel (Marriott). The food was amazing! The Pollo with chorizo - I can't say enough about. The chorizo and chicken were tender and flavorful. The service was excellent. And try the Chocolate Orange Tart!

Came to La Tasca for our date night and Milla made us feel so welcome, such a friendly warm personality and made us feel comfortable! Would always recommend, our favourite date place! Milla deserves so much recognition to how amazing of a host she is!! ❤️❤️

This was my first time coming to this restaurant, my partners third. At first I was apprehensive looking at the menu online, I was rather overwhelmed, but I’m so glad we still went. First of all, I want to say I’m very impressed with the amount of vegan options on the menu. It’s very encouraging to see a restaurant offer multiple vegan options! The food was absolutely beautiful, food arrived quickly and the staff were lovely. Our waitress was Milla, she was a fantastic host and such a lovely, friendly lady.

There are very few La Tasca branches now open - so it was good to make a visit to a venue we have tried several times before. Dishes were good - nice choice and they all arrived together ( I know that many other tapas places bring them out 'as and when' cooked - but I find this can be pretty irritating ). We enjoyed our visit, staff were friendly. Look for discount options including the 25% off food for students on production of a student card ( I had a loyalty card once but sadly as all the La Tascas in my home region had closed I binned it).

Good welcome to the slightly stark restaurant. Service was prompt and efficient. Menu varied, portions adequate, house red good, pricing as expected for a tourist hot spot. A pleasant evening.

We really love tapas and this was great for a lunch stop or so we thought. We ordered several dishes each and some soft drinks.

Meal was yet again fantastic we had bread and olives to start Our tapas meals were King prawns which were huge chicken skewers pork cheeks lovely chicken wings cream cheese and spinach croquettes and a lamb dish all really nice I had a pint of lager and the wife had a bottle of wine all for £36 with my Meerkat meals app Milla was an absolute star keeping us right with the app and giving us really good service

Forget this place if you are looking for any kiind of realistic tapas it is NOT in any way a representation of spanish food it is a dark and dingy establishment with poor quality food, music that is not only inappropriate for a food outlet it is also played so loud that any table conversation is impossible, we even asked if it could be turned down slightly, only to be told "no thats how we always have it on" so much for customer care , if you are looking for genuine tapas in durham in a lovely restaurant the go further down the street ,back towards the market place where you will see the TAPAS FACTORY which has genuine authentic spanish tapas in a lovely setting with staff that will be only too happy to assist the customer in any way, a much more pleasant meal than la Tasca.

Had a look online before we went so when we accidentally found it we had no hesitation in trying it. Food delicious and service friendly with just the right amounting of attention.

We came for lunch last week. Loved the humous starter but was a bit disappointed with the veggie options - limited and one was sold out. Need to up their vegan and veggie options. Okay value for price with the app but still felt a lot for average food.

The food was good and there was two for one cocktails, what more could you ask for. I ordered the vegetarian paella which took a while to come but was worth the wait.

You only need three, as they are quite big. Includes vegan and vegetarian. We went early and discovered it was happy hour, so half price sangria and beer. Friendly and efficient service and a good vibe.

We were first attracted into La Tasca by the beautiful Christmas lights in the windows and then saw the lovely menu outside! For a starter, we each chose a tapas and shared them both (one embutidos reserva and one Tortilla) - delicious. We then also shared the chicken and chorizo paella which was equally as delicious! The portion sizes were great and we had to take some home in a box! Sangria was also lovely!

The staff were friendly and helpful and the food came quickly. We had 9 tapas and I would say 3 were good and six disappointing. Prices were reasonable. There are so many good Tapas restaurants and this was below average.

Apart from the great service from our waitress the overall dining experience was just tasteless!

went in late lunch. sat for 10 minutes with no staff anywhere. 3 other tables waiting.... just as we were ready to leave. someone arrived. no apology. just a hi I'll be right with you.. ordered drinks. 2 were ok 2 we're basically coloured water. the syrup had gone and it wasn't exactly hard to see. ordered food which arrived quickly. too quickly for my liking meaning it's possibly ping ping. e.g. microwaved. it was ok. but wouldn't be in a hurry to return. £65 lunch wasted but. at least we know now.

A family dining experience with a slightly fussy and tired pre-schooler and a one year old is always challenging. However the team in the restaurant made life easy and meant we had a far more relaxing dinner than we otherwise might have had.

Went for lunch with a friend and was quite good. Staff were very helpful and friendly, had good recommendations on what to order and the atmosphere was very nice. Quite pricey for students but did appreciate that the portions were reasonable big and filling. Will come back!

Our waitress was Milla, a really nice girl with an effervescent personality, nothing was too much trouble. Her manager Ruth was also very good, we chatted with her for a while and she has such a good attitude.I wish there were more staff like this in restaurants, it makes the experience so much more special. We were a party of 4 mature women celebrating 2 of our birthdays with a trip to Durham. I found a Groupon voucher for La Tasca and then we had a very enjoyable evening. Gemma and another waitress (Jane? - apologies) made us very welcome, explained about the meals and change of menu and helped us make some very wise choices. Very friendly staff, good atmosphere and most important - good food so thank you all

Last time we visited a couple of years ago food was ok, today the food was fantastic and the service was ace thanks to our fantastic host Milla. All topped off by a hug at the end. Great job. 👍🏼😘

A group of us went here for dinner & were served quickly. However, the food was no more than fair in quality, and some found it much too salty. Service was quick, but they were not helpful in splitting the bill into groups, and that rather took the edge off the evening.

We paid a visit to La Tasca for the first time over the Aug Bank holiday weekend, we were served by Milla who was so welcoming and demonstrated an excellent understanding of the menu. As we have never had tapas before Milla explained each dish with a sense of passion, helping us choose 6 dishes between the two of us.

Eat here with friends and had an excellent meal with great service from Mille. Usual Tapas choices but with a few extras that you might not always see elsewhere and other main meal alternatives. Particularly enjoyed Beef Empanadas and Chorizo and Pea Hash.

What a fantastic meal at this lovely little restaurant. A special thank you goes to Milla our lovely waitress who was attentive and helpful as she showed us the menu and made suggestions. The food was delicious with a great choice. The paella was particularly good. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends and family.

Place was reasonably busy , service was friendly and relatively quick. The 2 of us shared 6 dishes of Tapas which we’re nothing special.

It’s been a while since we dined here but thought we’d give it another try. Dined here on a Sunday afternoon (4.30pm) using the Meerkat 2for1 deal. This was only available on the tapas menu.

On Saturday I visited La Tasca for the first time with a friend. We wanted to have a nice meal to end our day trip to Durham. First off, we were greeted so quickly and immediately welcomed, which sadly you don't always get at other places. That made us feel really welcome. We had an AMAZING server called Craig. Craig went over and above with his attention, even knowing just when to bring us our next bottle of Corona. The food came out presented in a really lovely fashion and then tasted even better than it looked! It was my first time having tapas, and La Tasca has created a high level of standard that others might surely fall short of. Overall, it was the best dining experience I've had in a very long time. The service was top of the class, ask for Craig to be your server. The ambiance and atmosphere was perfect with music from the likes of Gipsy Kings playing in the background, beautiful colours that made you feel like you were in Spain. The food was incredible and absolutely unforgettable. So basically, what I'm saying is "Go to La Tasca" you won't be disappointed.

Food was OK but had to return 2 dishes - both were replaced with new choice and a credit given which is kind. Wasn't super busy yet the first round of staff were super stressed. luckily our second waitress was much friendlier and all ended well. Great round table by the window.

We visited with 29 Year 7 students and had a fantastic time! The team had organised 3 stations so the students were able to see Paella being made, make their own sangria mocktail, sample tapas and make their own bocadillo. This was followed by a feast of food and drink which our students and staff greatly enjoyed. I can't recommend this experience enough!! Thank you so much La Tasca Durham Team!!

I enjoyed the food I had especially dessert. Menu wasn't child friendly but they were happy to make something on request. Table service very good. Disappointed with the disabled toilets, toilet not fixed to the floor properly.

My husband and I visited the restaurant on 13th June for our wedding anniversary and were greeted by Gemma. We were shown to a lovely table and Gemma took great care in making sure we had drinks to enjoy and explained the current offers. We chose our tapas and found every dish to be tasty and well cooked. Yes the dishes are small but that is tapas. We had room for a sweet and, because I couldn't decide between 2 she arranged for me have a combination which was lovely. The cost for a large glass of very nice wine, 2 pints of San Miguel, 6 tapas dishes and two desserts was £58, a very reasonable cost for a restaurant meal. Thank you Gemma and the lovely kitchen staff for making our anniversary so special.

We visited on a Sunday evening and although we hadn’t booked we were seated really quickly and the waiter was really polite. We ordered some bread and olives to pick at whilst we chose what to have. Just a heads up here, I subscribe to Tastecard and although you can use it here, it is not 241 on all menu items as it states on Tastecard- we had mentioned that we had a Tastecard to the waiter and ordered some things from the Tapas menu to share and then a main course each and a dessert, the waiter told us at the point of ordering our desserts that the Tastecard wasn’t available on all courses (our fault for not reading the small print on the T&Cs; but maybe would have been nice for a heads up had we known earlier). The food and service were ok, pork cheeks and the bocadillo were the highlights of the meal.

Called in here for an early evening meal with our young son. The staff were superb, really friendly and helpful, and were brilliant with our son when there was a delay with some of the dishes arriving. The tapas was excellent. Would definitely return when we’re next in the area.

Went to this restaurant on bank holiday Monday. What can I say about the food...it was simply awful. Looked and tasted as if everything came from the freezer and heated up. Everything was bland , sauces all tasted the same.

Mid week and some might say not a great deal of atmosphere - but we were there for the food and prefer it quiet - so that was fine. We asked for some advice on the dishes and the lady taking our order couldn't have been more helpful and informative. Hake was delightful, squid was fresh and correctly cooked. We used Tesco vouchers to pay, what's not to like?

We called in today for lunch and were served again by Craig. We have been coming to this restaurant for many years and have usually been fortunate in having Craig take and serve our order........ he is so pleasant, helpful and professional. The food was very good and we did not have to wait long. Thank you for a lovely meal

Such lovely service today at la tasca in Durham! For my husbands 50th birthday, the service was absolutely spot on. Craig served us and was so friendly and respectful of my dietary requirements and made sure we were all well looked after!!! Thank you everyone x x

We went here for a meal and we were pleasantly surprised. Food was hot and plentiful and the recommendation of the new pork belly dish was great. It is not something I would usually order but the flavours just worked and it was delicious. The new prawn dish (not in the oil) was also tasty with a little kick . Service was pleasant and efficient. Safe to say we will be back.
