Lamb & Lark Inn in South Somerset

We came here on a Sunday to enjoy the carvery. As soon as we arrived we were made to feel welcome by the lovely owners. Their affable nature and cheery demeanour made us feel relaxed. We ordered a series of well priced drinks and settled in. The pub had a lovely atmosphere and we drank in the vibe. We ordered the carvery, I ordered the beef (turkey and pork was also on offer) there was plenty of meet in my portion. All the trimmings were there and I went back with a plate piled high. The food was absolutely delicious! Meat was tender and juicy and the rest of the food equally delicious! My only disappointment is that I am not in the country long enough to go back there! Big thanks to the owners. You are awesome! Thanks for making us feel welcome!

Quick pitstop here driving through the area but lovely owner, very accommodating and friendly atmosphere. Hopefully be back in the area soon to revisit!

I haven't been here for about 30 years , it's good that the pub still has the old features with low beams & cosy feel. It was curry night with a buffet selection of 5 or 6 different types, rices, chutney etc. Really good value & excellent quality, as were the steaks that some of our group had.

The best pub in the area, Russ and Diane are such lovely and welcoming hosts, beer is always kept well and the food is superb. Nice enclosed garden for those warmer days and a large function room if needed. Parking isn't a problem either, there's a large carpark alongside the pub.

Very friendly owners who let us park our motorhome overnight in their car park while we attended an event at Yeovilton air station. We had nice meals in the pub both evenings. Lovely people, good food and pleasant country pub atmosphere.

Just got back from the most wonderful carvery from the team at the lamb and lark for dads 80 th birthday , the staff were wonderful and looked after our every needs. Food was delicious and beautifully hot.would truly recommend, thank you to you all for making dad's birthday meal such a success, we will be returning xx love Julie xx

Me and my wife popped in for a drink when out on a local walk, beautiful location, excellent service from the lady behind the bar. It was hosting an 80th birthday party at the time. Beautiful senic view when sat in the garden area.

I mean the food was pog, however my entire family found the staff to be very rude so I deducted 2 stars unfortunately, but the food was excellent.

Great carvery as always it never disappoints and an added bonus this week they had my husband's favourite lemon brioche pudding. So tasty we took an extra portion home

The Sunday carvery was beautiful. All staff friendly & polite. Waitresses very helpful & the desserts omg they were incredible. Small family ran pub but they definitely offer tasty homecooked food & a wonderful seating area out the back

Lovely pre match visit on our way from Nottingham to Yeovil. Great old building with low ceilings, polite and welcoming staff (presumably one of the owners?) who regularly checked we were ok and if we needed anything. The food was brilliant. Starters were great and we went for one main from the menu and one from the specials board. Both pies with good decent chunks of meat in both, perfectly cooked chips and veg. The beer and cider was great too. All round perfect visit. If we're ever back that way we'll definitely call in again.

The festive lunch was excellent. The food was well-cooked, hot and well presented. The lunch was for about 30 people. I would reccomend this pub without question.

I visited for the first time with relatives who knew the pub well, for Sunday lunch and it was excellent The food was a great carvery, choice of 3 meats and the veg. were varied, hot and plentiful. The staff were very friendly and welcoming so this outlet is highly recommended.

Typical old village pub. Used to visit many years ago. Nice beer garden with normal pub food. No complaints.

A gorgeous carvery today, and a cheeky dessert as well, the landlord is a lovely man, as were all of the staff, will definitely be back! Shame the cherry pie was in short supply and so many wanted that last piece! 😂

Went with a party of 14 on a Friday lunchtime we all had main meals and desserts.food was lovely and hot,good portion size,excellent hosts and friendly waiters.well worth a visit joan birch a visi

Always a great pub. They go the extra mile.

We booked a table for 3 and were warned that they would be very busy with a buffet for 40 going on. When we arrived and took our table our hostess was rather surprised and said it would be sometime before our order could be taken and as for getting our food . . . . ! We said that we were quite happy to wait, chat and have our drinks. As it happened, our order was taken 10 minutes later and on the table in another 10. Absolutely first rate service from all the staff who remained friendly and professional throughout a VERY busy evening. Afraid I can't say we'll be back soon as we live in Oxfordshire, but if you're reading this looking for recommendations, we can't rate it highly enough. (We were the Extra Dry Martini group by the way!!)

We went here today as a family of 5 (including our dog). We all had the carvery and it was delicious. Look forward to returning when we are next in the area.

Been meaning to pop in to this pub for a while, so glad I did! Lovely welcome and friendly and chatty landlord and lady. The pub is nicely decorated with a really nice feel. Huge beer garden with great views and will be spending some time here in the summer for sure. The food we had was super and the only reason I give 4 stars not 5 is because it was only a sandwich. May upgrade the review next visit.

A fantastic Sunday carvery. Friendly welcome, polite staff and great service. Made for a very enjoyable few hours. The ale is beautifully kept and at the right temperature.

Food very good (small menu due to covid) but had a very good sandwich which came with chips and salad.

They need to update the website ... travelled and they were closed on Tuesday

Both me and my husband enjoyed our meals, good quality food, the best caesar salad i've ever had, fresh salad and just the right amount of chicken, loved the crunchy crutons, would definitely go back again.
