The identity of Laxmi is a little confused, it's not sure if it's a take away or restaurant, the result is poor service and a limited menu. Quality of the food varies and some of the food is definitely microwaved. On the whole, not a great place to eat, but I've been to worse!

Ordered a staff lunch but food arrived late, missing accompaniments to two curries, greasy and wet Tandoori Chicken, and worst of all, a thick black hair in my Korma. Will NOT be eating there again!!!

We went there for the lunch buffet which runs from 12 to 3pm. We arrived at 2.30pm. There were only six dishes to choose from. One contained lamb bones with tiny shreds of meat on them in curry sauce. There were also some tiny chicken wings, once again more bone than meat. And the vegetable curry only had the green chillies nobody wanted left in it. We asked for some of the dishes to be replenished. We were told it wasn't worth it as they closed in half an hour! But still worth taking our money!If you're going to offer a lunch buffet then you MUST provide a decent offering so long as you accept peoples' money. This restaurant hasn't learnt that lesson yet.So unless you like eating curried bones and vegetable curry that feels like you're eating electricity give the Laxmi of Tolworth a miss.

Awful place! Mango chutney is some brown weird looking gel stuff… madras wasn’t a madras? Pathia was nothing like a pathia… and the tikka was watery! Paid £7 for popadoms and they didn’t even send them and only offered us extra on our next order like we’re ever going to order here again.

I ordered takeaway using their own website not "Uber eats or Deliveroo" and when I arrived there after 1 hr to collect my order, Chef and other lady working there were extremely rude saying that online order system is not working. He didn't have the Tablet Powered "ON" even and kept on saying that 3rd party company called Fusion manages this like they will come and put power to the Tablet even. He kept on arguing and at one point wanted to have a fight and was very aggressive !! Then he called owner who said, we don't manage so I need to call their 3rd party company who I have no number as email comes from their address and at the bottom it says, "Contact Chennal dosa New malden". It was a very BAD EXPERIENCE. In normal world, restaurant would apologise and will call around to check and offer me refund or ask to wait while they can prepare food. It was 1:30 pm and my elderly parents were left without lunch which we ordred at noon. Food HYGIENE RATING IS "3", which explains how CHEF came out with same clothes and without washing his hand. I would highly recommend avoiding this restaurant and chain like a PLAGUE. It's dirty and run by thiefs who just want to grab your money and don't know how to speak with a customer who is paying their bills!!

Extremely clear menu with allergens and vegetarian and vegan options labelled. Loved the aubergine curry and stuffed paratha. Definitely will come back
