Delicious food! Cod fish and chips were amazing!

Great bbq kebab!! Nice sauces too

Glad this place re opened, had a mix of things, fish was absolutely delicious, chips always lovely, the southern chicken was decent, the lemon and herb donner was lovely, the chicken fillet was not nice at all very rubbery, but overall I enjoyed it. Just a couple of points there Is no seating so take out only and they accept card now which is super. 01.25 went here again food was delicious had the munch box was decent but a but pricey but the chicken fillet was not nicely cooked. The batter was hard. The fish was delicious

Absolutely fantastic food. Been on the lookout for a new regular as our usual has closed for refurb. Large fish and chips is huge and the fish is very chunky. Donner meat is on point too. Well done guys, see you next Friday!

the food was stone cold so i had to reheat it in the microwave and i payed for sweet chilli sauce and there wasnt any in there

bad experience. only 1 out of 3 drinks delivered. shop calls went to answer machine so had to ask just eat for refund for 2 drinks......guess what THEY REFUSED to refund a few pounds to me and no explanation. So im now paying for stuff im not even receiving.....not sure whos worse, the shop or just eat so frustrating!!☹️

delivery driver couldn't find where we were as they keep going to regency court across the road in Tennant St. Had to go outside and shout him over. 😒

I went for the fish burger meal with bbq donner .... got charged nearly a tenner I was expecting greatness for that kind of pricing ... sadly the fish burger disappointed big time as they just used the fish that's been sitting the for a while so tasted very flat .... the bbq donner was nice but very small quantity maybe 5-6 strips ... chips were decent ... overall 6.5/10 could have been a lot more if they used fresh fish for the burger !!!! Expected better from a place called le codfather..... I've had to come Back and edit my review as one day later I'm experiencing symptoms of food poisoning 🤢🤢🤢🤢 and now the overall rating has changed to 2/10 sorry

Went here yesterday had there munch box for £10.all I can say very disappointed. small box nothing fresh apart from the chips.

never gonna order from them again quality of the food abysmal. chips weren't fresh looked and tasted old. burger was small not enough fish Not what they used to be.

I would suggest eating in, not out. quality was poor considering the price.

Ma sha Allah the smash burger was 1 of the best I’ve ever tasted could have bought 5 of them I swear down, I’ve been landing here with the brothers for 2/3 year strictly for the chip donners but since last years refurb the brothers at le cod have drastically notched up the menu in a spectacular way ma sha Allah may Allah increase them more, the food is always bangin from here and loads of the brothers and sisters travel from far and wide to eat from this bad boi ghetto star eat out, they been about for yonk 2 my brother right back to my mid teens bro the best up them sides then and the best chippy up them sides now ma sha Allah keep it up brothers the bros working their are top brothers on job ma sha Allah may Allah increase u more in success in sha Allah Ameen

Ordered large fish and chips was calm but asked for lemon piece but didn't receive and chips were soggy and fish and no flavour to it for the price paid was expecting bit more normally this shop never let's me down first time bad experience delivery person even was about to forget the 2 cola bottles good thing I asked them

This place has gone to the dogs. Such a shame used to be a nice local spot.hqd to wait 25min for my order and I was the only customer in the shop. Avoid this place

Very disappointed and frustrated! Tasteless food, no seasoning on chips and tasted bland. Chips were black and potato quality was appalling. Only good thing were the chicken niblets, rest was dry and not worth it. Will definitely not order from here again! WASTED MY MONEY ON HERE! Had high expectations since first time trying!!!😑

much worse than I remember. chips were cut small and no chopped gherkin ns in tartar sauce. the half piece of cod in the burger was small and not enough meat in the fish.

This shop called Le-Codfather, which is basically the good chip shop in the area if u're living around that area then again I would probably suggest that u should try it out as soon the food is very nice n also fresh delicious taste and can't go wrong with it

Just recieved double smash burger and I bit into raw meat! I'm really disgusted! I will never come here again. I have contacted food standard agency in regards to this also

This used to be my favourite place to get cod chips and peri burgers, but ever since new ownership its gone downhill massively. Thought to give it a second try (BIGGEST MISTAKE), but this time after waiting approx 1hr45mins the food did arrive via uber eats, however it was not my order!!!! I called Le Codfather but they failed to acknowledge this and said it was the correct order. I ordered food for a family of 5 and they thought a meal for one person will be enough for a family of 5?????? I could not understand what the workers were saying due to them having heavy accents and poor command of the English language, they passed the phone to their "manager" who was as clueless and useless as them. So there was no point in arguing with them over the phone as they weren't ready to listen or remedy the situation. Their customer service skills are non existent.

I had an abysmal experience with codfather. I waited for my food for two hours only for the wrong order to arrive when it got delivered. Proceeded to phone the establishment for them to then deny that my order was ever placed and they had no record of it. Truly frustrating to deal with such a lack of accountability and unwillingness to resolve the issue. Unacceptable customer service and will not be returning.

Dear brother from another mother; On a level, what was that you served me yesterday? Grilled Donner with all those chips! Now that rush in your shop makes sense. My o my - I've not had anything like that before. Now I know you guys do things differently from what I'm used to in London but that was some powerful meal. My kids loved it too, especially the fish and chips. Those wings were chunky and tasty too. Thank you so much for helping our day out in Birmingham be that much more special. Just ordered a smashed burger meal with BBQ donner. Bloody delicious and didn't leave me feeling sick as most chippies do.

Chicken Grill burger was 💯 But bbq donner wasnt nice.... Thick layered cut and found a bone in it put me off.

battered sausage was nice rest was fit for the bin. the chips were a weird green colour with black on them and the panini had brown lettuce on there and the bbq kebab was just salt. haven't used for a long time place used to be unreal not sure what's happened.

Been going to chippy from the 1st day it opened, seeing the brothers grow up and move on. The food is lower quality; consistency is low and worst of all service is poor. I won't be ordering again from here. Bro's if you carry on like it's the end.

I ordered Just Donner from the menu and was sent a bit of donner with chips so wrong time was sent out. Can you please make sure delivery drivers put food into their delivery as this is the second time food arrives not as warm as meant to be and we’re only 10 minutes drive from shop.

The food and service has dramatically dropped over the years. Quality has gone poor and staff are careless, not even reading notes from customers Uber/just eat orders. Had missing items from my order, chicken burger was dry and no effort to put it together. Chips were rock hard and overcooked. One sauce tub was provided with 3 meals. Upgrading my stars to 4* We tried le codfather after a dissappointing previous visit, we ordered take out which we really enjoyed. The chips were fresh, all notes were listen to, so we appreciate it. Donner meat isn't the best, needs more bbq sauce tbh. The niblets were very flavoursome & fresh. Overall decent and would eat here again. 😋

Generous portions as always their special sauce is so delicious, only thing is they forgot our salad on both donners.

BBQ donner was bland and not saucy like before, same for the chicken wings. Also the chicken was saltier than usual. Shame as I eat from here often.

Service has gone way downhill here. Waiting nearly an hour in the shop. There seems to be no system, and taking on loads of just eat orders which means everyone at the front gets deprioritised.. really need to sort it out as this was the best chip shop in brum. Food still is good though, but not sure it’s worth waiting an hour for.

Food taste good. However I ordered large got a few chips and donner compared to the usual portion they give. Please can you be consistent.
