Nice coffee, friendly staff, nice cakes - some Middle Eastern/Turkish. Very resonable prices for coffee.

What a gem of a place. Sublime coffee and amazing patisserie. The prices are good, the staff are lovely and happy to explain the choices.

Never again. I was a regular customer, buying coffee every morning before work, I was always charged one price every visit, and recently i had been going and i was charged a different price, and I questioned why it was different if i had been paying a small price. The guy charging me claimed to had been the owner and said ‘this is the normal price and had always been, you shouldn’t have been paying that amount, plus its only a 30p difference its not a problem’ what i don’t understand is, theres only one guy taking orders and making the coffee. I order a mocha, his response is its coffee and chocolate so it’s expensive, when i sipped my coffee, it wasn’t made correctly and as if he had rushed it and didnt care. Well done you lost a regular customer and will not return again. Avoid at all cost. Save your money

Algerian/North African patisserie, with very cheap French desserts like millefeuille and some other cakes. We recommend for the price but the cream is a bit heavy. Do not expect French desserts made in the French style if that makes sense.

Honestly one of the best places in london. So authentic, cheap prices and delicious food- flavours and ingredients I’ve never had before! The staff are so nice always smiling and welcoming despite always being rushed off their feet. You don’t get places like this in London these days, what a refreshing find!

I’ve always wanted to try something from this place however can’t say it was a great experience. As soon as I open the top I find the raspberries moulded and the tropical fruit shrunken. I don’t know how long ago this was made. Also the consistency was very watery and sickening. Very disappointed.

I love the place it is very nice and i would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a birthday or wedding cake or a nice panini.

Last time I bought a patisserie for my son from this place he almost end up in hospital I wouldn't buy there again, it wasn't an allergic reaction but the ingredient they use are the low chip.

No estoy seguro de la autenticidad de las críticas anteriores. El café ofrece una variedad de sándwiches, pasteles y comida caliente y aparentemente se vende todo el desayuno del día. Inicialmente ordené que el desayuno vegetariano fuera informado de que "no hay desayuno". . . . entonces, ¿no es un "desayuno todo el día"? ? Luego pedí la pizza ya que no hay muchas opciones vegetarianas disponibles. El quiche parecía muy pálido en mi opinión. . . El miembro del personal sirvió mi pizza con sus propias manos y la calentó en el microondas. Habitantes de microondas, este no es el lugar para ti. El establecimiento tiene un puntaje de 4 alimentos y de higiene, por lo que me sorprendió el manejo de los alimentos. Great food and prices , cakes are amazing. My only request would be to include more vegetarian /Vegan options as most of the cakes contain Egg. Prices are also great along with friendly staff

This place is great. It has a cool, soulful vibe, and the workers are generally very friendly. It might be a little off the beaten track, but if you are hanging out in Southwark, go try it. They have very tasty espresso drinks, way better than most of the chain places in London, like Costa or Starbucks. Their pan au raisin are fantastic, and of course croissants are great too. They have many other fancy pastries that look stunning and taste great. They also have good savory items as well, such as a Spanish omelette or panini. This is my go-to coffee bar.

This is the 2st time The women working on customer service she very very rude She look away not even my face whish I don't know ha the cake test same whit different colours using this place on emergency visitor because is not to fare from my house other is not good they keep the cake for two days in fridge

Very horrible cake. Tastes like it was made 5 days ago. Do not even want to give 1 star. All the cakes are the same with a different colour glaze. I would never recommend this place to even my enemy.

Amazing birthday cakes great staff very reasonable prices.

Came to this small non-pretentious eateries again. Love the panini - the bread is light and crispy and the filling are very tasty. I tasted almost everything - tuna, spicy tuna, chicken fajitas, chicken ticka, chicken pesto for the filling. Amazing find for very good quality food - a real value for money.

Great place, great staff and wonderful food.

Really good coffee and cakes, with prices you cannot find in London. I sometimes try delicious algerian sweets, some made of almond. They make as well a very good pizzas with mediterranean ingredients. I go with a friend who order a hot bespoke panini, and she likes them. I find the staff very friendly, but of course they are busy. I strongly recommend it!

Reasonable prices and comfortable atmosphere. Staff are polite and helpful. Only downside for me was all the cakes have egg as i am vegetarian as my colleague really enjoyed the brownie. Hopefully will introduce some more vegetarian/vegan options in the near future. All in all welldone guys !

One of the cafes that I spent years of my life going to to have my daily cafe and bread sweet biscuit nice people friendly and warm inside

Looking for somewhere for Sunday breakfast we noticed that there were a lot of cafes all close together but this was the only one that was full so we ventured inside. Intending to have a hot breakfast we were seduced by the amazing display of pastries and chose two each. Coffee was great, strong but not bitter. The bill came to less than £7. we were so convinced that they'd forgotten something that we queried it and they were right. Amazing value! Really friendly place, locals all greeting each other in Arabic but we were made to feel really welcome too. The other home made food like tagines looked great too.

I eat here very often,the food is a mixture of north african and south european, always fresh and well executed.I love the concept of patisserie that provides a very healthy food . definitely worth a try.

My boyfriend lives 5 minutes away from La Panier and I have a killer sweet tooth so we visited a lot for coffee and cake before trying any of the savoury food but it's so worth trying! Huge portions, always supplemented with a basket of freshly baked and sliced french baguette. We often go in for lunch followed by coffee and cake/baclava and always get change from £20. The cakes are beautifully moist, the staff are always super friendly and happy to answer my unending "What's that ... and that, and that, and that?" type questions! The pastries and baklava are in constant supply and always fresh. Definitely recommend this place! Fantastic for a quick lunch as well as special occasions. They do mediterranean hot dishes as well as a range of sandwiches/baguettes/paninis and almost always have a pizza/quiche/calzone option which is brilliant when I take my very fussy kids! If friends ever visit from out of town, this is always one of the first places we take them. Another reviewer mentioned they were open 7 - 7 but we regularly go up until 9/10 at night and have never found them closed.

Currently managing a project at 5 different locations in London, one just off the Old Kent Road. My once-a-week visit to Le Panier is the highlight. Interesting dishes, great coffee and amazing cakes. Also, always great when it's my turn to pay also, as the prices are great.

This place should be the blue print for any coffee shop! Cakes and hot food cooked on site using fresh ingredients. Friendly staff who are happy to talk to customers and good with children. Tasty hot food which is cheap and fresh. You can get a light lunch coffee and cake better quality than the large chains by far for under a fiver!!! A real gem. I am happy to go most days.

I was in London recently and was staying in the Eurotraveller hotel. One morning I decided that I would try to find a good breakfast place in this lower-middle class looking area. I knew that people who live in a poorer district usually have at least one gem of a restaurant because the restaurant has to push good product in order to make a living. When I walked into this place I definitely found that little gem. I had the full English breakfast and a tea, which was great quality for the price (7 pounds), and a few pastries which were fantastic for the price. This place is very affordable and they push very good quality in their food and service. If you can look past cultural barriers you will have no problem with this place.
