Amazing little pub, tucked away off of the beaten track. Quirky (in a great way) interior with a warm, relaxed atmosphere, background music that’s actually background. Had a great meal, good beer, reasonable prices. Burgers are spectacular, flavoursome and huge, piping hot and excellent service. These are not just economy flat bits of meat, they are well seasoned actual beef and huge, juicy and delicious. The ‘dirty’ fries aren’t just dirty - they’re filthy, spiced, cheesy and pulled pork, they are incredible. Great range of lagers, ciders and beers, warm, comfortable seating, friendly, welcoming bar team -oh and a parrot :) If you want generic pub with generic food, not for you. If you want something that looks different, has good beer, good food and great staff, go for it - you won’t regret it. Oh and dog friendly too for well behaved doggos on a lead.

first time visit, quirky place with lots to see, food was very good, good choice of food and beer, not the usual pub stuff, service was ok, no problem, might have been an extra £1 or so, but my ploughmans was great, we will be going back.

We had a wonderful time for an 80th Birthday with family and friends. Very accommodating hosts and great facilities (quirky). We all ate Sunday Roasts. An amazing venue.

We were all very disappointed in our latest visit to Leather & Lace. We have been many times before & have always loved it there. However the bar staff have changed & are not very welcoming! We had already decided on what we wanted by looking at the menu on their website. But they have taken several dishes off of their usual lovely menu, without updating their website! This left choosing a meal for one vegetarian very limited! The blonde lady serving us does not have very good customer service skills & should crack a smile! When our food arrived, the vegetarian burger was not very nice & cold. Garlic bread was ordered to eat with the meal, which turned up when we were more than half way through. It was tasteless & not worth the wait! It's such a shame, as this pub even though a bit pricey, has always been a firm favourite. It is quirky & different. But due to the attitude of the staff, the lack of choice on the menu for vegetarians & the service, we won't be returning.

A warm welcome from all staff/Owners. A well decorated quirky interior, wide selection of drinks. A fantastic menu that caters for all, do try the homemade desserts. I visited four times when staying in the area and staff, service and food excellent every time

Pub quirky and cool but very unclean. Shows sticking to the floor and toilets very dirty. Food VERY over priced and not edible. Lasagne was rock hard, so was the garlic bread aswell as the burger looked like a child had made it, very let down because the atmosphere was brilliant….

We were staying in the village and had looked online at the pub previously and were put off by its wacky appearance and one or two bad reports. However, we dropped in on our first night for a drink and found it to be so wacky that its fascinating, went back the next night for a perfectly decent well priced meal. Landlord and landlady were friendly and welcoming what more do you want .

THE SERVICE WAS HORRENDOUS. The blonde lady's people skill was absolutely terrible, made us feel as if we were not welcome, not a smile on her face the whole time we were there. I did tip but regretted it straight away as she didn't even say thank you. For this reason, i wouldn't go again.

Work was being done in the garden outside under cover seating area who ever was building it spent more time smoking cannabis. Then the work on stairs was carried out by the stoner grew stinking the area out with cannabis. Food was over priced soggy onion rings garlic bread was more like garlic butter on bread. Steak was like chewing through leather. owner was rude to staff and myself Pete I believe his name was Referring to local people in area as skanks. Dog mess all around the garden. Owners need look at them selfs before judging local people

Good food in a good atmosphere in a quirky country pub.amazing garden and great internal decor. Also cheesecake desserts there are extra special.

I don't know where to start - we arrived and the room allocated to us was not set up and we were left to our devices to do this. It was also cold. We were a party of 16 celebrating a birthday and many of us ordered steaks, as some of our party had had a good experience previously. The steaks arrived and it was clear that the chef had no idea as to how to cook steak - medium rare - it was not. Well done for an elderly relative was cremated - he was too polite to allow any of us to send it back but I have never seen something so black actually sent out from the kitchen. Mine was one of the worst I have had - I think four mouthfuls were all I could eat - the rest was so chewy and full of grissle that I had to spit out in to my serviette. It juts felt like anything would do for us, did we have all the odd rubbish bits of steak you had? - certainly I've had better steak from Morrisons at £4.99 each!! A tiny pot of sauce that didn't even taste of stilton - I could go on and on - needless to say we won't be returning in a hurry. A shame really as the decor was special and quite fun - and initially thought we should bring some of our other friends here - sadly the food was so poor that this venue is off the list now!

Great atmosphere great food very reasonable prices highly recommend visiting they also have a skittle ally run by a really nice couple we will be returning Recommend trying the Elvis burger 🍔

We’ve been meaning to come here for a while now and it did NOT disappoint. What a great quirky place, we will definitely be coming again. Very friendly service, the food was great. You could sit here for hours and just keep seeing things of interest.

Delicious Sunday Roast - proper home cooked tasty food! Generous serving. Quirky fun restaurant, bar and garden. Definitely a conversation starter - lots of reminiscing! Think this may become a regular haunt for us. Impressed to have wine served in a proper, generous, quality, delicate wine glass!!!!

Not a great experience, called in for a drink, was greeted from the lady behind the bar with "yes" not a great greeting. Drinks were over priced for a village pub and then they apparently called last orders at 10pm without telling us. Seems to be a bit of a hobby pub for their own friends. Not really what you would expect of a village pub. Decor is interesting but really more the sort of thing you'd expect to find in a town. If staff had been more welcoming and friendly would have given more stars.

Our friends surprised us with a visit to this pub and it was amazing. The decor is unique and you could spend hours looking at all funky items randomly placed inside the pub and in the garden. It’s a great place to meet friends, chat to the parrot, have a cocktail or two and eat tasty food.

Booked a table with friends and it definitely did not disappoint. Very welcoming owners, the decor is amazing and the food was delicious. We all had steak and a pudding which was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend and we will definitely be back.

What an amazing hidden gem, food was delicious, staff were lovely and so friendly and the decor is so quirky I could spend hours looking at everything so different this was our 1st visit but definitely won't be our last would definitely recommend a visit

This is an amazing country pub which is the creation of a young couple in just over a year. The indoor and outdoor areas are themed and packed with masses of interesting items that will both amuse and revive old memories. The owners and staff provide a warm welcome and are happy to talk about their creative journey. The food is delicious and home made. The landlady’s mother bakes the excellent cakes and Janet, a qualified and experienced barista, is able to pull coffee shots to satisfy the most discerning Melbournian! They hold many events. We are staying on for a ‘Biker’s Evening’ which should be lively fun.

On arrival we could see that this was a very different pub/restaurant and we were not disappointed! Brilliant friendly atmosphere, served swiftly from the bar and went through the eccentric looking very funky pub to the even better beer garden. We were seated in the pub with a great table, choice of food was very good and weren’t disappointed when it came out from starters of mozzarella sticks and crispy prawns to mains of crispy salmon to steaks, chilli con carne and another steak followed by sundaes and homemade lemon drizzle! A great meal with a great atmospheric African grey that gave some entertainment along the way. Brilliant and highly recommended, hope to return!

A really unusual pub, with great attention to detail, fun colorful interior and stylist relics on display. Staff were really friends, kids loved talking to the parrot. The food was lovely, served quickly, hot and tasted good. We cant wait to visit again in the summer and experience the garden.

Had a lovely meal at this quirky pub just outside of Bridgwater. Both the inside and the outside garden have lots of character you won’t find elsewhere! The food was delicious and the service good. I’d say this is predominantly a pub for bikers but...
