Order was delivered very early and still not updated in just eat for nearly 20 minutes. The food is not up to the expectations and descriptions. The quality is very very poor.

First trying this restaurant. Food was below average in my opinion. The Bombay Aloo was very watery and bland, poppadoms were brown (burnt) and chicken wasn’t great.

The delivery was delayed which to be fair I received a text about so wasn't too disappointed. The food was hot when it arrived. Overall quality was ok, having been used to another restaurant in the area which I could not order from I was hoping these would match but be honest it didn't have that wow factor. Glad we tried regardless

The food is always great, the portions are good and the staff are friendly, only complaint is I’m hungry at 5pm but they open at 5.30 so delivery is minimum at 6pm. Apart from that everything else’s is great 👍

Ordered chicken tikka which it didn't say was on the bone online and gt two pieces, one had a bit of meat but the other was just bone. Not nearly enough to fill you up

Food took a while to arrive (which of course isn’t the restaurants fault) but it was worth waiting for. Vindaloo and madras both proper hot, lovely tandoori, and they even threw in some free poppadums. Would recommend and would order again!

Usually spot on.. been using them for years and rarely have any issues. This time both dishes (our order rarely changes!) Were below average and fairly bland :( first time we've been disappointed :(

Consistently good from this restaurant. Although our only negative feedback on this occasion was the lamb biriyani was very lacking in meat, mostly rice. For the cost of the dish, this was a disappointment.

Honestly I don’t even know where to start. First time ordering from here and when I tell you this is the worst Indian food I’ve tasted. So so disappointing after spending a fair amount. Will definitely avoid ordering from.

Called to track order when late. They simply put the phone down. Did not deliver what was ordered and what was delivered was cold.

This is the first time we have ordered from here and our order was for just 6 naan - instead we were delivered tandoori roti and were charged £16.50 😲 I called them to inform them of the mix up and explained that I had ordered naan not roti. The guy that took the original order was rude, abrupt and defensive - saying I had ordered the roti and that he wasn't to blame! Had he apologized and accepted his mistake I would have left the matter. However his attitude was wrong, and so I firmly demanded the 6 naans I had originally ordered or a refund. He said he would only give me the naans if I brought the rotis back to the restaurant myself!! A naan is really the simplest item I can think to place at any Indian restaurant - and if they got this wrong and then blamed the customer, you can imagine how terrible this place is! Add further insult to injury - the tandoori rotis we received were all rubbery and chewy so we couldn't even eat them; instead we had bread with our meal. Avoid this place like the plague! Terrible food and rude staff 😠. If I could I wouldn't even give them 1*

Managed to update the website for Father’s Day but not the opening times apparently. Ordered at 8:45pm and was waiting 1.5 hours with no one answering the phone before I had to come down myself to find out it wasn’t even open. Go with saffron house, that place was open and is good. Should never have tried whatever shoddy business these guys are running.

Lots of oil , lots of onion , lots of colour but no flavour. At £2.50+ , naan was pricey. Even after asking for hot, the food delivered was sweetish, not sure what a medium or mild would have gotten me . Biryani was just some coloured rice and a few pieces of boiled boneless meat. There was some sweet yogurt in dip box, not sure if it was supposed to be raita or something else. If you are Indian/Pakistani/Bangladeshi please stay away

The veg rogan josh curry was very nice and they kindly gave us free poppadoms. We were disappointed at how bland most of the food was given the great reviews. The tandoori paneer was bland and slightly sweet. The pilau rice was just like normal rice - fine but didn’t seem to have any veg or spices in. Can’t say I’d recommend this place, sadly.

Absolutely superb delivery tonight. All very, very fresh. As requested no Ghee, which can make food so greasy. Adequate time for delivery and very hot. All-in-all Leavesden Tandoori can be highly recommended by our family.

The food took 1hr 40m to come, it was cold, the poppadoms were smashed to pieces (definitely not two whole ones either), the lamb was tougher than an old boot, the bhajis were tasteless and the naan was missing. When I rang the restaurant, they responded with “do you want the naan or are you good?” They delivered it shortly after. Definitely won’t be using again!

Was over two hours late, and therefore too late to eat (arrived at 10.45pm). Was told twice by the restaurant that the manager would phone me back within 15 minutes, yet still have not received the phonecall over 20 hours later.

The absolute BEST takeaway in Watford. They don't skimp on portion sizes, their prices are far better than anywhere in the area and the quality is spot on! I went to Indian sizzler last week and had to pay £12 for a curry, I got the same thing from Leavesden Tandoori and payed around £7 and it was so much better! Honestly, can't give this place enough praise, 15/10 ****

Having had some disappointing takeaways recently, I wanted to try somewhere different. Positive reviews encouraged me to try Leavesden Tandoori. Was not disappointed. Good portion sizes and tasty food. Will use this takeaway again in the near future.
