Lee’s Fish and Chips Frome in Mendip

Had fish, chips and curry sauce here for the first time and it was absolutely stunning. One of the best I've ever had. Excellent portions and value for money aswell! Fresh fish, crispy batter and wonderful chips. I'll be thinking about this meal for a long time!

Long established and very handy fish and chips shop serving everything you would expct in a prompt and freshly cooked way.

I've been using them for over 30 years. They are consistently good and polite. Food is excellent. Parking can be an issue and I would like to see them take cards too.

Went to the pretty town of Frome for a cheese and grain concert, stopped for cod and chips and Battered sausage and chips, both excellent quality and quantity. If you like a bubbly crispy batter you won't be disappointed!

Good thing we live so close as Lee's fish and chips are always good! Hardly a mark on the chip paper which is always a good sign!

THERE CHIPS ARE THE BEST BUT ON THERE CHEASY CHIPS THERE IS BAILEY ANY CHEESE AND THEY ARE SINGER IN A BURGER BOX.

So glad travelling around the country gives me the chance to visit places like lee’s, I only had a simple sausage and chips but it was stunning, really would recommend this place

My 1st experience of Lee's and very nice too . Lovely staff and great service ! I don't a lot of eat fish and chips as I find it can be a bit greasy and heavy but not here ! My Haddock was cooked to order and just perfectly juicy and delicious inside with a light crispy batter on the outside . Nice quality chips too , fluffy potato and not at all soggy . Nicely packaged in sensible , vented boxes too so the batter stays crispy on the way home ! I think I could become a regular !

Lovely light and crispy batter on the fish. Chips cooked to perfection. Curry sauce to die for. What more could a person want!

As a non-English but keen lover of Fish and Chips, I was so pleased the first time I tried Lee’s Chippy. I’ve had my fair share of travels around the country, but this was among my top ones! Served in traditional wrapping, the chips were very tasty, not too greasy and the oil felt fresh, but the star was the fish! The haddock I had was soft and juicy on the inside but crispy, crunchy and flavorful on the outside. The portion was also good, I had the regular chips and big haddock, and it definitely was enough for me, I hate it when I have to throw away the leftovers. Plus, the price is very decent, totally recommend!

Fairly unremarkable fish, pretty good chips. Curry sauce was way too salty, but mushy peas were tasty. I'm fairly ambivalent about it, really.

Done the circuit a couple of times in Frome for a decent chippy. They are all pretty good, but Lees is the best.

Lees Fish and Chips does a great half pound bacon cheeseburger 🍔 The service is always top notch! I am a regular customer who is always satisfied! The most important thing Lees deliver is value for money. Thanks for being a great place

Always a light crispy batter .. seriously delicious for fish and chips. Great value generous portions. Friendly service. Not much parking outside but can park round corner and walk less than 2 minutes.

Best chippy in Frome. Forgotten about them for years but now a regular visitor

My usual place was closed so we decided to use Lee's.the chips were soggy the fish was dried out just went straight in bin the portions were tiny and out of sausages the battered sausages were soggy but surprisingly the non battered were fine. It felt like as we were not normal customers we were not treated the same our large chips was a scoop smaller than the customer known by name

I'm a regular and they treat me like one of the family always smiling say hi etc really friendly place

Visited here yesterday after reading the excellent reviews . I wasnt disappointed some of the best chips I've ever had , nice sausage and still piping hot after 5 minute drive back home All the Lee's ones I visited are good so far

Best fish and chips Ive had in a long time .... decided tonight I'd treat me mum and other half to some fish and chips was a last minute thing but everywhere was closed apart from this place there was only half hour before they was closing so thought to my self great they won't have any thing and won't be able to get it as most places if they are closing and what you want isn't in the cabinet then they won't cook it for you ..... but that wasn't the case with lees fish and chips I was greeted by a very nice lady and gentleman and when I requested for 3 lrg cod pea fritter and battered sausage and 2 large chips none of wich was in the cabinet the lady was more than happy to cook it all for me fresh even though they was closing and it was lovely most places will just turn you away cause they can't be bothered but not this place ...... was a lovely meal and lovely service and reasonably priced too thankyou I will be back very soon 👍

I'm here from miltonkeynes visiting my daughter I used to live in frome and have eaten from most of the takeaways here tonight my daughter went to lees fish shop and even though they were closing they cooked fish chips and pea fritter for us and I have to say that they were the best I've eaten in years and from now on wen I visit frome I will be eating from you're shop ty for a very enjoyable meal and the staff were very freands all in all a real good experience keep up the good work and ty again
