Leung Kee Chinese Take Away in Darlington

The reviews of this place can be quite misleading. I have ordered different meals on their menu for months and every meal has been a hit back to back which is quite difficult for my Nigerian tastebuds😅 the foods are quite cheap too and they deliver them hot and fresh. The only downside is that I don’t think they understand a lot of English I would have liked some tweaks to the meals and other stuff which they do not really understand but the foods are HEAVENLY. They are my favourite restaurant in Darlington rn🥂

Terrible service. The lady on the phone did not know where the delivery was or apparently does not have the phone number for them. I was left on the phone for 20 minutes. Drivers came back and confirmed to me on the phone they had not delivered. Never used again! Would not recommend

Main meal was under cooked , fried rice was very mushy

Food was ok but half an hour late

Food never arrived. Shop told us it would be "15 mins" for over two hours. I promised the family chinese take away. But tonight we dined only on disappointment. :(

The chicken Maryland was not good it was breast meat cut very thin, breaded and deep fried. It was over cooked, dry and stringy. There were 2 poor quality pasty sausages, a piece of undercooked bacon with a portion of very thick gravy some very dry chips. My past experience of this dish was of a chicken breast battered and deep fried, a pineapple fritter, an onion fritter, one sausage and a piece of bacon. Will not order again. I also ordered a dongyin soup that was excellent.

Food was cold , not edible unfortunately

we had our chinese delivered 4 times in one night! order placed at 9pm didn’t get to actually eat till 11pm. they got our order wrong 3 times!! shame because the food tasted nice. just wasn’t as enjoyable after 2 hours of mess around & waiting. to top it off, 0 compensation or freebies were offered. can’t say i’d rush to go back.

Ordered from you before and spot on everytime the salt and pepper chips were banning lovely and crispy and very well done 👏 loved the main dish definitely had kick loved it 😀 loved the little touch of the vegetable spring rolls thought that was such lovely touch as well as prawn crackers 🎊 definitely best one I have had ❤️

Not a dine in restaurant, so there is no atmosphere to comment on, but staff are helpful, and food is beautiful.

Food was excellent, one of the best takeaways we’ve had in a long time. Delivery only 10 mins late which was fine. Food was hot and portions were bigger than other Chinese restaurants we’ve ordered from.

Delivery driver delivered wrong order had to chase after him - very unprofessional attitude!

Sadly ordered on a Tuesday night at 1845 and at 2005 still no sign so called and they had not even started cooking the order. So this would have meant another hour at least - over 2 hours so I cancelled the order. Travelling through the area and definitely won’t try again or recommend this place

Arrived not long after quoted delivery time but that was the only good point. Starter box was all overcooked, egg fried rice had obviously been microwaved as it was mushy and stuck together, chilli garlic tasted very salty and was also quite mushy, overall not great and most ended up in the bin. Won’t be ordering from here again I’m afraid.

ordered salt & pepper chicken & i have never been so dissapointed with a chinese takeaway. i know the chicken is ment to be crispy but not to the point you just can't chew it without cutting your gums it went straight in the bin. safe to say i will never order from them again.

Best Chinese food in Darlington

On time, piping hot, have now tried a few different dishes and cannot fault anything, food is unreal and will not order from anywhere else, 5 stars excellent

Food was a little (20 mins) which is understandable but some of the dishes were extremely disappointing. I ordered crispy orange chicken which was very very dry and not in a sauce at all as expected.

Very watery satay sauce..the special fried rice was tasteless and hardly any meat in it other than chicken..there was definitely to much soy sauce on the fried rice..never again 🤢

Haven't ordered from here in a while. Thought we would treat ourselves. The Salt & Pepper chicken and Salt & Pepper prawns were over cooked and the prawn toast was like rubber. Sweet & Sour Hong Kong style chicken was mediocre at best. Waste of calories!

my order didn't arrive, I rang the restaurant, they said it was on its way, but food never showed up ! I want my money back

waited from 6:45 to 8:50 for my food to come for the noodles to be dry and when i rang up nicely the woman on the phone was rude didn’t bother to help me at all and hung the phone up on me after telling me it’s on its way

I hate leaving bad reviews but this was probably one of the worst orders I've received from a take away. chips were undercooked but soggy and the crispy beef was just soggy, full of grease and unedible. very very unhappy. won't be ordering again.

Disappointed with the quality of the food. We’ve ordered previously with no issues. It didn’t taste fresh, almost like it had been cooked a while ago. Luke warm/cold. No veg with the salt and pepper bits as there usually is and everything tasted sweet like it had sugar on. Won’t rush to order again

Ordered some food to the house hoping for some good Chinese but the meal had me disappointed. I ordered salt pepper chicken that had oil at the bottom of the box to the point that you could feel it on the entire chicken, vegetable egg fried rice was oily too, the pork dumplings did not have a flavour what so ever and the beef in black bean sauce was so overloaded with salt that I could not eat even 2 pieces. Over all I was not satisfied with the food but I haven't been in a restaurant myself so I don't know about the atmosphere. Ever so sorry to say that but I would not come back to this brand again if looking for Chinese food.

the most incredible chinese experience i have ever had. my wife and i were going through an intense divorce and we decided to order a chinese as our last meal as a married couple. after having the singapore chow mein and salt and pepper chips our love was newly rekindled and i then again learned the sheer beauty of life and having a loving relationship. thank you new leung kee for saving my wife and i. 10/10 will order again 🤙

Unfortunately the food was tasteless and the BBQ ribs were yellow?
