Attended for lunch on a Saturday, it was very quiet and service was a little slow but we were in no rush Staff were super helpful and friendly, they also made an effort to bring birthday cake and sing for our 70th celebration event though we hadn't asked. Food is delicious and a huge selection on offer. Beautiful meals were enjoyed and we also had hot drinks after, nice selection of hot drinks, recommend the apple tea!

First time coming here, went for the lunchtime special 2 course meal at £16. The service was polite and friendly, the food was fresh and very tasty with hearty portions. Will definitely go back, loved it.

Lezzet Restaurant in Newcastle is a gem! The food is absolutely delicious, and the authentic Turkish flavors truly stand out. But what made my visit extra special was the friendly guy at the cashier. Not only was he welcoming, but he also went the extra mile by offering complimentary Turkish tea to customers. It’s a small gesture, but it added such a warm, personal touch to the experience. The tea was fantastic and really rounded off the meal perfectly. Highly recommend this place—not just for the food, but for the amazing hospitality as well. I’ll definitely be back!

Amazing food, even better service

I have been in this restaurant sometimes and I had a very positive memory. Tonight for the new year we have been there and I was totally disappointed, the atmosphere was cold, the food was tasteless and the worse is the vegetable was rotten. I never try this restaurant again. It ruined my appetite in the new year.

Absolutely gorgeous food. We ordered the mixed platter for 2, we got 4 ribs, 4 chicken wings, 4 pieces of chicken, 4 pieces of lamb and 2 large lamb koftas/sausages. Every single bite was full of flavour, everything was seasoned beautifully *loosens belt after having too much food*.

Visited on Christmas Eve and there was a nice buzz about the place. We were seated promptly, service was great , big portions and food was delicious. Wine was reasonably priced. We will definitely return.

I had driven past this restaurant a thousand times and never actually ended up here. It was worth it. The staff were attentive and friendly. The food was incredibly fresh and great. Lost a point for the menu not being more clear about the lunch deal and us thinking we could do a main and desert instead of a starter and main. It's a beautiful restaurant and was spacious and very well maintained. Highly recommend.

This place exceeded our expectations! The dishes were full of flavor, and the staff provided excellent service throughout our visit. We’ll definitely be coming back! Eren was especially kind, offering us complimentary sparkling water when we were in need after enjoying such delicious food!

Visited recently in a small group. We shared starters and had a large meat platter. It was nice food but at almost £100 for two people, 2 courses and a glass of wine each, it was quite expensive. I would go back for a special occasion.

We had a delightful Turkish dining experience with a welcoming atmosphere that made my kids enjoy it. The meals were delicious, though the prices were a bit on the higher side. It was an enjoyable experience overall, perfect for a family outing.

Another fantastic meal at this lovely restaurant. I ate alone on this occasion at lunchtime but the staff all made me feel very welcome. It was relatively quiet but still a nice atmosphere with authentic Turkish music in the background which was nice. I had the creamy chicken which was delicious, the sauce was out of this world! I can’t wait to return and try out some other dishes on the menu 😊

Above average food quality but felt a little overpriced. We visited on a Saturday night and it was fairly busy. Expect frequent bursts of music and clapping as the staff help diners celebrate birthdays etc.

I would definitely recommend this place, be of the best Turkish restaurant across the Tyne and Wear.

The food was great, even though by the time a delivery driver got it to us it was cold. Lezzet who i spoke with had it ready but no driver was available. 6.10pm order put in and 8,05pm it arrived cold.

We were in Newcastle for a few hours and were looking for a good place to eat had a few options but this place stood out more. Exceeded our expectations from the vibe from outside, insite parking, the decor, staff were very friendly and very hospitable to us and our children the owner even greeted us which was lovely. Food was fantastic cannot fault it we went for adana kebabs, mixed grill, mocktails, chicken strips and meatballs for kids. To be extra greedy went for the kunafe dessert absolutely insane. Can't wait to go back :)

Lovely looking restaurant with a car park. Courteous and attentive waiters and waitresses. I ordered the lamb hummus which was delicious and my partner ordered Moussaka which was the winner, I ordered a lamb rice dish which did come out cold but they soon heated it for me. My choice was the wrong choice. I would happily return to the restaurant and would recommend just not my lamb (Tiftik Tander). We visited on a Sunday at 5pm the restaurant was quiet would like to revisit when busier for a better atmosphere.

Order never arrived. Delivery driver never turned up.

I recently dined at Lezzet Restaurant in Newcastle, and it was an experience beyond just the food. From the moment I stepped inside, I was enveloped in a truly authentic atmosphere. I had the lamb chops, and they were perfectly cooked—so tender and flavorful that they rivaled the best I’ve had in Istanbul. It’s rare for me to be completely satisfied with Turkish cuisine outside of Turkey, but Lezzet absolutely delivered. To top it all off, the baklava and chai were the perfect conclusion—sweet and aromatic, a flawless pairing. For anyone who appreciates authentic Turkish flavors and an atmosphere that elevates the experience, Lezzet is truly something special. I can’t recommend it enough!

While the food was absolutely amazing, the experience was completely ruined by the rude server. He was an Egyptian man who was not only nosy but also condescending throughout the meal. His attitude made what could have been a fantastic dining experience very unpleasant. Wouldn’t return because of the service.

Absolutely phenomenal! My recent dining experience at a Lezzet Turkish restaurant in Newcastle Upon Tyne was nothing short of extraordinary. The mix grill, in particular, was a masterpiece. My son was 25 and we went there as a family . The new staff were amazing and could not do enough for us . Quick to bring drinks after ordering them . Food we ordered was mainly mixed grill ( family of meat eaters except daughter ) hummus was the best ever and the bread was so lovely ! First time there to dine in ; will definitely go back . A beautiful rose was handed to me on leaving from the manager ; who spoke Geordie to us and made us laugh 😆. Very lovely man . My son got to wear a birthday hat of sorts ; which made us laugh- free cake for birthdays if mentioned on booking table ❤️💋

Having made a reservation to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday, there was an amazing atmosphere making our Saturday night really special. Despite it being super busy (always a good sign), we didn’t have long wait long for drinks and our food, which also didn’t take long to arrive, was sensational. With so much choice on the menu, you can’t go wrong plus it’s so easy to book a table through their website. I’d definitely book here again.

I went for my birthday meal, the food is absolutely fantastic and one of my favourite places to eat, it's honestly incredible food. However the service really let's it down, unhappy staff who were unhelpful and rude, really ruined it, it is quite expensive so I would expect the service to be good.

Had a really lovely meal on Thursday night in a fabulous atmosphere, I think every table was taken, always a good sign. We had a slight hick up on the coffee order, but there was no hesitation on replacing and our bill was adjusted too- can't complain at that. When writing a review , I always consider would I go back- without a shadow of doubt. Looking forward to seeing you again soon!

Excellent Food and service. We went for a birthday celebration and upon paying the bill, gentleman asked if we are celebrating anything special, for which we said yes, its the birthday. He then said, don't go anywhere and brought us a delicious cake, a turkish hat and played fhe birthday music. We really appreciated the kind gesture. We'll surely be back.

I prefer not to eat out for two reasons: I'm particular about hygiene standards, and I really enjoy homemade food. However, Lezzet never fails to meet my expectations in either area. Everything on the menu is delicious. As a family, we are discerning about meat quality, and Lezzet consistently offers the best-tasting meals, along with excellent vegetarian options. It’s my favorite place to indulge when I want to eat out. I can’t recommend it enough—undoubtedly the best in the North!

A beautiful Turkish restaurant in Newcastle. Good size parking lot within its boundaries when it is not that busy. We got seated to our table which we reserved in advance for a big group. The waiters were very friendly and hospitable. Food took very long to arrive, but it was worth the wait, the plates were delicious and well presented. Overall very positive experience if only improved by faster service of food to reach perfection.

Update: I visited the restaurant recently and what a huge decrease in the service, waiters were so upset and they don’t smile at all 👎 Food quality has changed dramatically Will never go back again!

Oh my god the best meal I've had in a long time!

Lezzet’s food is the most authentic Turkish food I have had so far.Succulent dishes and desserts. Love the calm and warm place with very good service.

We returned as two families for a graduation meal with my son and his girlfriend. The staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The roses given to the ladies were beautiful (very large) and we were all amazed that the happy couple were given large slices of chocolate cake topped with flare candles. So much fun and a real surprise for us all. Thank you to Sharif and all at Lezzet.

First time at Lezzet and won't be my last visit. The food is very good and the portions are generous. I really enjoyed my starter and main. The staff were on it, even when busy. The atmosphere is good and it was obvious, others were also enjoying their evening meals. I will definitely be back again.

Best Turkish restaurant in North East. Lovely food and service. Free parking. Prices are reasonable for what you get. Private hire is available. You can check the kitchen and meet the chef if you want.

Everything about the place is nice, went on a recommendation and wasn't disappointed, shared a mixed grill for 2, you need to be prepared to get stuck in with your fingers as its the best way to eat off the bone. The only thing I could fault is the drink selection but only because I drink Guinness and they didn't sell it. Live 2 hours away but will definitely be back.

It was one of the best restaurants I've been to. As a chef, I want to say that I love the taste of all foods. The employees were very welcoming and attentive, they were all smiling and respectful.
