The best Sicilian restaurant I have ever been to! We travel from far to come for the delicious fresh food and always experience the best customers service. From their tasty pizzas and their fresh pasta dishes, the desserts are all home made which also so amazing. Everything Limone has to offer is of a very high standard. Very well run family business which makes this restaurant stand out from others I have been to with my family. Child friendly as well which is a huge plus for us. If I could give 11/10 for Limone that's the rating it deserves! Highly highly recommend :)

I visited Limone to celebrate my birthday with family, and while the food was truly outstanding, the service left a lot to be desired. Every dish was cooked to perfection, showcasing a real attention to detail and flavor. It’s clear the kitchen is a highlight of the restaurant, and the quality of the food is something they should be proud of. The decor was also a standout. It added a unique charm that set it apart from other Italian restaurants—thoughtful touches that made the atmosphere feel special and inviting. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for the service. We were seated around a corner and seemed to be forgotten. Getting the staff’s attention required a fair bit of effort—waving them down just to place orders or request basics like drinks. Dirty plates were left in front of us for far too long, which made things feel even more disappointing. On the bright side, they did sing “Happy Birthday” when my dessert arrived, which was unexpected and much appreciated—it added a nice personal touch to the evening. Overall, while the food and decor were exceptional, the lack of attentive service made the experience feel incomplete. With a little more focus on their diners, Limone could easily be a standout spot.

We went to the restaurant three times and every time we went it was like entering an Italian territory, the staff were exceptional, and I would like to recommend il Limone to families with children, because as soon as you enter the staff immediately comes to take your orders, the time to cook you are immediately served which is why it is excellent for children, especially children are welcome by the staff, they are easy going, friendly, just like in Italy, I had a pizza, being Italian I have eaten many pizzas in Italy, but this pizza beat them all, really delicious, abundant toppings... I recommend it with my eyes closed, go you won't regret it!!! Chef Nando is exceptional, he cooks perfectly in the Italian tradition really good!!!

We had a lovely evening at Limone’s Halloween event. The restaurant was decorated beautifully and the DJ and dancers made for a great atmosphere. The service was great, everyone very friendly and the food very tasty. We have been fans of Limone since it first opened, and will definitely be enjoying more of their events!

The restaurant is beautifully decorated and ornate dishes line the tables, the portion sizes were generous. We went in for the lunchtime menu, the pizza sandwiches were tasty but I was a bit overwhelmed but the amount of pickled gherkins inside which dominated all other flavours the portion sizes were very generous. I asked for a side dish of calamari and for charged a main sized portion without being told, so what should have been a cheap and cheerful lunch ended up a tad expensive. Overall it was a pleasant experience, the staff were attentive and polite, it was an ok and the food was nice but I wasn't blown away.

Nicely designed restaurant and very cozy. Unfortunately the food did not deliver. Ordered the Lamb Chops, Pasta e Pollo and Girella. None were particularly enjoyable.

I read the reviews and decided to book a table because we were celebrating a special occasion. The restaurant looks lovely. The staff were welcoming and the service was friendly and professional, but unfortunately the food was a letdown. We started with three pizza’s to share. The pizza's tasted OK but two of them were extremely wet and soggy. The pasta with salmon was overcooked and bland. The grilled swordfish steaks were slightly hard and would have been better if they came with some vegetables. The Pollo Pizzaiola chicken was tender but it came with a tomato sauce that tasted out of a jar. I was expecting more mozzarella cheese but my main gripe was the dish was so hot it burnt my mouth (tasted as if it was microwaved). Three of the dishes were served with a small portion of roast potatoes which were not fully cooked through. The portion sizes were good but the food was average at best. The restaurant was very busy and we were not asked how our meal was. Regardless I left a tip because the staff were all polite and friendly. Unfortunately, we left disappointed.

Amazing food and a really lovely atmosphere in the evening. The food is a de lacy and you can really feel and taste the fresh ingredients!

We held our daughter’s ‘pizza making’ birthday party here. It was amazing and exceeded my expectations. The set up was great with all children having their own stations to roll out the dough and choose their own toppings, to watching their own pizza go in the oven and then the best part getting to eat them! 14 happy children and being told it was the best party! First visit, nice setting, given a table in the window for a family dinner for 3. Extensive menu covering much of the Italian food options. We shared giant bruschetta nice, good size plenty for three. One bone in ribeye steak generous portion , seafood rigatoni- 👍 👌 and went for aubergine parmigiana, this was slightly disappointing both i⁹n size and flavour. Dessert ķ was giant profiterole, lemon cheese cake, and a raspberry ripple ice cream.the first and last were stunning, but the base of the cheese cake was a bit thick and spoilt that dessert. As the restaurant fills up, the noise level gets pretty high, and that is a pity as we had been very happy having a quiet dinner.

Dined on Saturday for lunch (my second visit here) and it is just the loveliest restaurant. Decor is stunning, food is great and service friendly. Also spoke to the owner who told us all about transforming the restaurant from how it looked before becoming Limone. I will be back as a regular and will be back for Elvis night!

Went here for dinner on a Saturday night a few weeks ago. Managed to book on the day which was good and had a booth for 5 people. The interior is really well done and the place has a warm, friendly atmosphere. Service was good but on the slightly slow side (not that I mind as I dont like to feel rushed). They did mention they were short staffed but it was by no means a long wait for the food at all. Only downside was that they had sold out of rib eye steak but the food was excellent. I went for the tortellina cinghiale (wild boar - pictured) and others had the swordfish and octopus. Would definitely go again. Cocktails also very good!

Anniversary Meal - Visited Limone on the 10th August to celebrate parents 65th Wedding Anniversary. The food was superb, great menu with lots of choices, very generous portions and excellent all round followed by moreish desserts. The staff had put a banner and balloons up and then came out with a cake that I had taken over earlier to lively music, tambourines, singing and clapping....Mum and Dad were overwhelmed and we want to thank the absolutely amazing team at Limone for their kindness, attentiveness and being the perfect venue for our family celebration, thank you all....

Booked a Table of 20 for my wife's Surprise 65th Birthday. The arrangements went wonderfully, the meal, the service and the ambience were absolutely prefect. Nothing was too much for the staff to do. Thank you very much

My husband took me to lunch here 2 weeks ago for my birthday as I love Italian food. I especially love pasta and have eaten in Italy several times. We have visited Limone before and the restaurant does not disappoint. The food was wonderful, generous portions. My pasta was cooked to perfection. Beautifully on the Al dente side. My starter Aranchino was stunning. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his steak. Service was excellent and staff were warm and friendly. Compliments to the kitchen - A little taste of Italy in Herts.

My husband and I visited for a date night and we couldn’t rate the food and service higher. We had courgette fritte, bruschetta and arancini to start all of it delicious. And two pasta dishes - I can’t remember the names but one was wild boar and the other prawn. Both absolutely amazing. Staff were polite, and attentive. Honestly the food was sooo good. Our new favourite restaurant!

We are regular customers here. We absolutely love Limone - it’s a wonderful family restaurant with authentic Sicilian food. The staff are fantastic and always make us feel welcome and go above and beyond. I’m also vegetarian (often preferring vegan food) and there is an entire vegan menu which is very much appreciated. We cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

I ate Fritto misto and Tortelloni cinghiale. The Fritto misto was very crunchy and the Tortelloni Cinghiale was really creamy, everything full of flavour. Really nice atmosphere and service! Can't wait to be back soon! Thank you

A wonderful dish and my first time coming to the restaurant at Limone, and I tried the Brunch menu and was amazed by this dish. The excellent service and the kindness of the waitresses also made me feel at home and the service was also quick. I was amazed by this dish. I recommend you try it. I will return another time to try new dishes.

We had a private 21st birthday celebration at Limone which was amazing!! The food and service were superb. Nicole and staff were fantastic, extremely helpful and accommodating in organising the party. I have no hesitation in recommending Limone for any event!

Brilliant evening at Limone. We did the bottomless Prosecco and Pizza option which was fantastic, huge choice of delicious pizza’s and very helpful staff who made adjustments for my gluten free friend. Would definitely return and would like to do the bottomless package again if they offer this.

Bottomless prosecco and pizza evening was fantastic! The service was excellent from the moment we arrived, even remembering that I am gluten free from the booking. As gluten free pizza isn’t available they changing the deal to bottomless prosecco + a gluten free meal for me, which was so lovely! Please do another one of these evenings, we loved it!!

Sublime. The portion sizes are generous and the food was perfect. I had Tiger Prawns to start and swordfish with roast potatoes as main, and shared a pizza style garlic bread. All of it was cooked to perfection! The food is incredible here, I can’t have any complaints, even if I was being picky. Just be aware that the portions are very big, especially the starters and sides, but in my book that’s a good thing!

Try the lunch menu it is really well worth it. Honestly the best Italian in the area I'm my opinion! There is a dish called nonnas involtin which is fantastic!

I am Italian and I came on holiday here in this delightful city! I had dinner at this restaurant, really fantastic! The best pizza in town. My partner had the pasta profumo di mare, it was delicious! Went here for the first time Friday after being recommended by a friend, I'll definitely be back! The food was amazing looked and tasted fantastic, perfect portion size too. The staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. Very reasonably priced too. Highly recommend.

Got to say I was disappointed with the food,chicken was nigh on Impossible to cut with both a normal knife and a steak knife had to return it to the kitchen. The bathroom area needs sorting out with the one urinal out of action, with other Italian establishments in the Hoddesdon area Limone seriously need to up their game.

Had a lovely dinner in Limone on a Wednesday evening, despite it being mid week there was a great buzzy vibe and food was great to match.

Having seen the response to the other 1 star review I feel compelled to share my experience and provide further context (I was a member of that party). I do not appreciate you lying. The gentleman in question had a brash, blunt, arrogant attitude on several occasions which rubbed our entire party the wrong way from the moment we sat down. Instance 1) where we were sat it was draughty and cold. We asked him why it was so cold in that spot and perhaps if the air conditioning could be turned off or something. His 1 word response was “no.” After a blank pause he said he will close the door later. That put a slight downer on our mood but we tried to ignore it. Instance 2) he asked what drinks we were having. We were all still chatting l, deciding who wants beer, who wants wine, who’s sticking with soft drinks. About 30 seconds later he goes “come on guys what are you drinking”. Another downer and the immediate thought was “why are we being rushed?”. We ordered our drinks and made no additional comments. The final instance was the umbrella incident. Context you are failing to provide was yet again the rude, arrogant, attitude of the gentleman. The umbrella was taken by somebody (regardless of intent) and our party member was very unhappy. Understandably. She walked back in and merely mentioned that someone had taken her umbrella, perhaps expecting some understanding or sympathy. This man puts his arms out to the side and says “what do you want me to do” while smiling and laughing! While I do not condone her actions that followed, context is relevant. You are painting a certain narrative that we were nightmare customers being rude to your staff throughout. This is completely false and you are actively lying by claiming this is the case. May I add that we had a pleasant interaction with every other staff member that dealt with us. They were polite, and we especially had a laugh when they came out clapping and singing in honour of one of our party members birthdays. This was a lovely touch that was greatly appreciated. We most certainly were not rude to ANY of your members of staff in any way shape or form like you are claiming we were. Other than this altercation at the end with the owner. Perhaps we were just unfortunate to be on the receiving end of the gentleman's unsolicited abrasive attitude 3 times in one night.

The food was absolutely amazing - I'd highly recommend the pesce spada! The staff were very polite and the service was impeccable. As somebody with an allergy, finding options on menus to eat is very difficult, but the staff were well informed and accommodating of my allergy and made dishes dairy-free where possible! There is also a nice vegan menu available. Would definitely recommend.

Rude old grey man working as waiter, he was very snappy and rushed us to order drinks and food. Really poor service. The food is average - mains were dry but the mushroom arancini is nice. Wont be going back due to the rude waiter

This restaurant is honestly as good as the ones in Italy itself. After visiting Amalfi Coast last year I can say the food at Limone is on par and cannot recommend enough. Lovely staff, great service, and excellent prices!

Ordered pizzas for takeaway and they were delicious! Not a pre-made base in sight : everything was hand formed and tasted wonderful. Exactly the way pizza should be : will definitely order again!

My wife is neopolitan. I speak Italian and have been to Italy many times. This is by far the best Italian food I have eaten in Hertfordshire. Very authentic. Reasonably priced. Friendly owner. Definitely recommend.

We had a great lunch here. They have a lunch menu which offers great value and great selection. They even accommodated my request for rigatoni instead of spaghetti. Would definitely recommend, such a great spot in Hoddesdon! My son also loved the choice of desserts on offer! Will come back for sure!
