Great little spot to try traditional Mexican food!

TL,DR: Food is ok, but do not recommend visiting. The venue looks very good, with Mexican inspired decor. The name of the restaurant seems to include the word Cuban but I wasn’t able to see anything Cuban on the menu or the venue. The music was too loud for a dining place and seemed to be more suitable for a bar/pub. Food was good, possibly not truly Mexican, but it looked the part. We ordered tacos, which came with hard shell instead of a soft tortilla. This dish came with some rice, but this was not Mexican in any way - it was biryani! The service was by far the worst I’ve ever seen on a Saturday - there were about 6 members of staff working the floor and only two of them were actually working: the bartender and one of the male servers. The two female servers were useless and only walked around, stood by the bar, and talked amongst themselves pretending to be busy. When bringing water to the table, she didn’t bring glasses. When she brought the tacos, which you make yourself, she didn’t bring a serving spoon; when she brought coffee, she didn’t bring a teaspoon. The toilets hadn’t been cleaned in a while and the floors were filthy. There was no toilet paper, nor soap to wash your hands. If you add the fact that the door kept being left open and the cold -4° comes into a space where there’s no heating, it doesn’t make up for a good environment. None of the servers cared to close the door even though they acknowledged the fact it was open. Food is ok, but do not recommend visiting.

We love the place , atmosphere is really good and place is very close to center to center. Service is the best complaint to all the restaurants . Especially person name is Malli is the pest person. He is so best and provide the good customer service and was so lovely and good. We came back to the same restaurant because of his good service. Keep coming to this nice restaurant. If you want to eat good food and have a nice cocktails pls come here:)

The food is delicious, the music is great, the cocktails incredible, the service leaves a lot to be desired, the waitresses just walk around, the bathrooms look like they haven't been cleaned in weeks. Plus the door doesn't close, we had dinner in the cold and with a coat. I wouldn't go back

Very good, very kind staff and wonderful background music

The food was bland and tasteless. There was no seasoning on any of the food. Portions are very very small for the price they charge. They are pricey and not worth it. My experience there first time was horrible as during the meal I had immense stomach pain suddenly. This did not stop throughout the night and kept getting worse and worse that it was unbearable. I had food poisoning for a few days and first time I've experienced that. Never again I'm going back. Worst experience ever.

We went for lunch before a theatre performance and had a lovely meal. Very quiet which is a shame, but we almost didn't go because they didn't show availability to book online at lunch. Turns out it's because they don't have a lot of demand. The waiter was professional but quiet/timid. Just the lack of people meant there was a lack of atmosphere. But these are minor issues compared to the delicious food and cocktails. Took the kids who loved the Nachos and the Chilli sampler is not to be missed. Would visit again.

Good food, a bit quiet, margaritas good but pricey. Nice menu selections with wide range of dishes. Good variety from sharing plates to main meals etc

This is our fourth visit to this Restaurant. On each occasion, we’ve had a great experience. This time I tried the sizzling swordfish along with fluffy & crispy wedges OMG ANOTHER FANTASTIC DISH. Very tasty, great value & always a belly full!!

We held our Team (of 12) Christmas lunch here on 19/12. The service (to take our drinks order) was a little slow at first, even with 2 waiting staff in attendance. The restaurant was emptying by 1.45pm and service soon picked up. The background music was a tad loud; the decor, bright, colourful and vibrant. I ordered a Pina Colada, which was served in a vessel more like a VASE than a glass; very refreshing and impressive! I opted for Sizzling Chicken with Garlic Sauce. This was brought to the table sizzling LOUDLY in a cast iron pan - WONDERFUL...! However, the chicken needed resting, as it was a little tough/dry. The Garlic sauce was mouth-wateringly delicious; creamy, with plump mushrooms, crunchy green peppers and onions. This was served with beautifully seasoned Mexican Rice and a small fresh salad/coleslaw. I tried a colleagues Pork Ribs; they were succulent and fell off the bone! Everyone enjoyed their choices and had a good time. Thanks to our 2 servers (sorry I didn't get your names). Please tell your Barman although his drinks were FIRST RATE, his rude and relentless staring created an unnecessary hostile and uncomfortable atmosphere 👀

Have no idea what the food is like, rang late afternoon when they were still open (well after the lunchtime rush). Never picked up, left a voice message, didn't bother returning. Must be too busy, turning people away!

Después de un largo día y un autobús turístico necesitábamos algo de buena comida y aterrizamos y el lugar correcto! Sí, la comida era maravillosa, buenos tamaños de porción también. Todo estaba cocinado a la perfección y caliente en ambas escalas. Estaba ocupado, pero después de una corta espera nos invitaron a entrar y el personal era servicial y amable.

Servers were nice and attentive but the food was really not good. It is also crazy expensive. Don't know how they get away with it. We split a starter and main course and had two beers each = £63

We came here for lunch on a Friday and it was pretty quiet but the food was impressive. You can't complain about the portions, the chicken with the fajitas was chunky and you got a lot of it which normally is the opposite at other Mexicans we have visited in our home county.

Been to Loco Mexicano few times before. Never had bad service. Always food, customer service and atmosphere are the best. It was exactly same last time when i visited them with my family. Guys You really deserve highest ranking. Keep it up. 5⭐

Man this place is a must! I love it. The food: Tasty! Service: Super quick! Atmosphere: 1. The background music is nice and lively 2. The lighting is great, you can even adjust lighting on your own table by touching a sensor (so dimmer for a romantic time, or bright for taking pictures of your food). 3. There is a nice bar in the middle of the restaurant. In some seats you have a nice view of it and it's fun to watch. All and all a great experience!

My mexican friend’s birthday dinner was great. The service was lovely, nice atmosphere and delicious food. Very good size portions. My frozen margarita was delish. Will go back!

Vibrant interior with some skillful murals make the place inviting. The service was friendly and attentive. A nice selection of drinks is bound to keep everyone happy, the food was good, though perhaps not great in all instances.

Absolutely disgusting !!! Rang both the shop and deliveroo after finding a hair stuck in the cheese in one of the tacos . Melted on the inside and the hair hanging out from the cheese. 🤮 awful person on the phone accused me off lying and told me to shhh on the phone . Absolutely awful service and manners , told I was a liar and they had no one there with blonde hair, I have bright red dyed hair and she tried to say it was mine! AVOID !!!! And maybe treat your staff to some customer service courses, actually if you haven’t the decency to refund a meal with a hair that was in it , your staff have no hope 👎 👎

No esperaba que me llamaran mentiroso y me dijeran “shhh” por teléfono... .. encontré un pelo en mi taco, estaba derretido al queso por dentro y colgando por fuera , absolutamente 🤮 llamó a la tienda para que me dijeran que mentía y era mi pelo , tengo el pelo teñido de rojo brillante 🤔 y luego nadie trabaja aquí con el pelo rubio así que debes equivocarte ! ! No puedo creer que pagué por esto y me recibieron con algunas personas pelo en mi taco!!! Y para colmo, ¡también insultado! ¡Asqueroso! ¡Asqueroso con el pelo, asqueroso servicio al cliente y absolutamente asqueroso de que no se haya dado ningún reembolso por esta comida! Deliveroo fue informado y dijeron que tampoco iban a reembolsar

I ordered the quesadillas it came with so many Nacho's all-over and in it I might as well just ordered nachos not worth the money so don't bother ordering the quesadillas. Nacho's put in it to save them money would never order from here again.

Good service, prompt preparation. Guacamole and the salad need more 'soul' in terms of flavor.

Anoche cené temprano con mi anciana madre. La camarera era muy atento y nos puso en una mesa tranquila lejos de la puerta principal para que no nos dieron una corriente de aire. El restaurante está muy bien decorado y el ambiente es muy bueno. Ninguno de los dos había comido allí antes y el camarero fue muy paciente para explicarnos el menú y los tamaños de las porciones. Nunca en ninguna etapa de la comida nos sentimos apresurados. Compartimos dos tapas de nachos de pollo picante y aros de calamares con una ensalada lateral y fue un montón. ¡Sabes que la comida es buena cuando el lugar está lleno de gente que viene del país donde se originó la comida! Los precios eran muy buenos y no rompieron el banco. Recomiendo encarecidamente comer aquí y volveré en mi próxima visita a Londres.

Entering a Mexican restaurant playing French music isn’t exactly what I would expect. Food was average and didn’t taste like it was homemade. Experience was disappointing.

Service very friendly and accommodating. Burger bun was good, but a bit tough at times. Drinks were lukewarm and not carbonated. Unfortunately we can neither recommend it nor would we come again.

We visited here after a long family day of sightseeing. Really nice restaurant, nice atmosphere with a few specials beyond the usual fajitas etc. Our meals were lovely, there was a slight delay with my sons meal being brought out which the owner couldn’t have been more apologetic about. He went way beyond what was expected to rectify this for my son and turned an inconvenience into a fantastic end to our day.

Only went for drinks but every single cocktail did not taste right. The waitress and waiters did not undestand anything as in simple drinks and we had to repeat numerous times. They had to call the bar tender to ask. Worse Long Island i have had, worse margarita as well and passion fruit Martini. It just wasn’t the right flavours. We came about 2 years ago and we came back for the cocktails as they tasted good before but Will never be back ! My stomach was in pieces after this.

Nice Tex Mex place for food and drink. Lots of Alcohol, Cocktails 🍸🍹 & Beers 🍺🍻 and liquors. Cocktail prices are above average in Victoria 🥃🍸. A nice atmosphere with Hispanic and Latin music playing 🎶 🎸🎵. Portions size ok. Good location not far from Victoria. Servers were attentive and friendly. In a very vibrant street with lots going on. 24 bus stops outside.

Always great service at Loco Mexicano, we visit every time we go to an event in or around London Victoria. Staff are great but food wasn’t as good this time as usual and atmosphere felt a bit strained. But it won’t stop us coming back!

Excellent Mexican food, very well presented and large. You can also order a wide range of local and Mexican drinks. The atmosphere is accompanied by Latin music, with soft lighting that helps you eat comfortably. Very complete desserts as they have the adjacent establishment that supplies them, although they are not typical Mexican. The prices sting a little.

I went for dinner after work with my husband on Thursday 10 Oct and the dark skinned lady taking drinks order is very unprofessional and most suspiciously a racist. She was clearly unimpressed I didn’t order alcohol when waiting for my husband. When we ordered the main she was very surprised and almost judgemental that I ordered 2/3 starters instead a main course as I wasn’t hungry. She’s clearly not trained well to act professionally with courtesy with customers. But it’s interesting she was all complimentary to a WHITE old couple two tables away from me about her outfits etc. When I finished eating for just 1 second she jumped at the table and asked if she could take plates away. Other gentleman and the European lady were all polite, attentive and friendly with their service. Won’t come again because of the bad service received from this particular waitress.

Went early evening at around 6pm where it was on the busier side so was worried we wouldn’t get a table, however we were lucky there were a few tables available. As the night went on it got less busier so if you definitely want to get a table I would recommend going a bit later or booking a table beforehand. Food was delicious and service was incredibly quick and staff were very friendly. There was music playing in the background which gave a nice vibe to the atmosphere. The interior is very unique and well decorated and very reasonably priced for London. I would recommend the spicy beef chimichanga main as was delicious and for dessert I would recommend the churros and the white chocolate and honeycomb cheesecake. Both great deserts. Would definitely recommend going and would come back again!

Food was tasty and service was good. But be careful: we were charged an extra 10% as a “service fee”. I didn't pay attention to it and gave an extra tip again. However, they kindly gave it back to me independently.

We come from Germany and were there a few years ago when there were still plastic tablecloths and were really excited about it. I was really looking forward to eating the steak fajita again but as is often the case, it wasn't as good as I remembered. Unfortunately, the beef was quite dry and the flatbreads were still available in a separate basket back then. Today they were on the plate, which is difficult if you want to roll them. Unfortunately the sauces were a bit bland. Overall we were still satisfied.

Food was very bland, all food arrived 10mins after ordering so I suspect it's microwaved I ordered their chilli which had no spice or flavour despite a warning it would burn your lips, was mildest chilli I've ever had, friend had pulled pork which was watery and flavourless we were all pretty dissapointed and still hungry afterwards

A great value restaurant in the heart of Pimlico high street, just a 5 minute walk (if that) from Victoria train station. Both food and alcohol are reasonably priced - the cocktails especially are good. There is downstairs seating also. Hats are included!

Good food, nice semi dark and calming atmosphere. Was here for Wifey's 50th birthday. We shard the mushrooms and salsa nachos for starters, then I had a chilli burger with cheese and fries, wifey had the burrito. Very nice and fully stuffed that I wanted to sleep. The Sangria might have had something to do with that!

If you want a venue with great food, friendly service and most importantly a fun atmosphere - this is the place. The food is well priced and plentiful and after a few tequilas the bar will be dancing, sombreros waving. Loco Mexicano is a real winner!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Mexican restaurant! The garlic bread with cheese was delicious, and the spicy chicken tacos were also really good. Plenty of drink options, and the service was excellent. Highly recommend!
