Lola's Bakery in Camden

Estaba deseando almorzar en Lola’s Bakery. Había ido antes, pero estaba tan ocupado que no podía conseguir una mesa. Hoy fui con un amigo y pensamos que habíamos tenido suerte. Hasta que intentamos ordenar. Era 1. 45 y todo lo que pedimos se había agotado: croissants, bollos. Quedaba 1 cruasán de almendras, así que mi amigo lo pidió. Fui con huevos royale con salmón. Los huevos escalfados tenían un fuerte sabor a vinagre que me hizo sentir nautilus. El croissant era “pasable”. Tres empleados nos sirvieron, pero nadie se molestó en preguntar cómo estaba la comida. Estaba a punto de decirle a la camarera que trajo la cuenta, pero estaba bastante impaciente. Así que pagamos, nos fuimos y no volveremos. Nunca he dejado una crítica negativa antes. Nunca. Pero hoy estaba muy por debajo del par.

Bonito ambiente. El personal no parecía saber acerca de descuentos por ser inquilinos de Charlotte Guest House. Al final se las arreglaron. La comida está bien. No pidas tortitas. Solo ofrecen 3 piezas pequeñas y le cobran £ 11 más una tarifa de servicio. Aparte de eso, nos lo pasamos bien.

Como he probado Lola's Cupcakes anteriormente decidí probar su rama de panadería. Fui con mi novio a desayunar, elegí las tortitas de nutella y plátano sin gluten. Estaban súper llenas, así que solo pude comer 3 de las 4 tortitas que me sirvieron. Me gustó mucho la textura de las tortitas, ya que eran súper esponjosas. También tienen una gran selección de productos de panadería, elegí el muffin de arándano sin gluten y galleta de arándano y avena. No era un gran fan del muffin, ya que tenía demasiados arándanos para mi gusto, sin embargo, definitivamente volvería a comprar las galletas! Si viviera en la zona, vendría aquí todos los días para desayunar / almorzar, ya que es tan difícil encontrar una buena panadería sin gluten que tenga conocimientos sobre la enfermedad celíaca. Volvería 100% de nuevo y lo recomiendo a otros celíacos.

No vayas aquí a comer. Llegamos menos de 10 minutos después de nuestra reserva y un miembro del personal dio nuestra mesa a otra pareja que no había reservado junto a nosotros. Ella dijo que llegamos 15 minutos tarde (no es verdad) y fue increíblemente grosero. Nunca volveremos, lo que es una pena, ya que está bastante cerca de nosotros y en algún lugar que frecuentaríamos regularmente si no fuera por la rudeza del personal. Qué pena.

Llamé aquí para un poco de desayuno mientras se aloja en Londres. Pequeña panadería encantadora que tenía una buena variedad de opciones de desayuno junto con pasteles y otros pasteles. Ambos tuvimos el bocadillo de tocino abierto con huevos escalfados que eran excelentes. Los cafés / zumos eran agradables y el personal era atento y agradable.

Went there for brunch on my first day in London and ended up eating brunch there every day! Lovely place with nice staff, and great brunch and breakfast options. Lots of vegan and gluten-free choices and an almond cappuccino I still dream about.

Went for Afternoon Tea Saturday Afternoon wih my 4 sisters who can be quite demanding at times. The lady that looked after us was Rosie, she was exellent cant fault her professional and courteous manner in dealing with lots of questions and queries she was rushed off her feet but kept her composure throughout. The sandwiches and cakes delicious, scones cold dry an doughy sadly and we was put off by the amount of flies buzzing aroud our table and also a couple flying around the cup cakes in the counter that we was asked to chose from - not nice. Overall though it was a pleasant exprience.

4 Tage Frühstück, 4x topp. Sei es das Englische, Sashukka, Egg Benedict (eine hausgemachte Hollandaise wäre noch toller) oder Rührei, alles lecker. Sehr freundlicher und aufmerksamer Service. Es hätte noch viel mehr gelockt. Also 👍

It’s a shame I didn’t enjoy green juice or vegan croissant there. Tart “super green” had so few vegetables and no side salad. My coffee was ok. No selection of water, served Harrogate spring and billed for Hildon still water.

10-Sep-23: Lola's Bakery West Hampstead. Visited on a Sunday morning as a party of 7 for a family birthday brunch. We were seated downstairs. It was a very warm day and the conservatory type basement was pretty toasty with no air conditioning. Tables are quite tightly packed and with limited soft furnishings it was fairly noisy. The food and service, however, were both excellent and we very much enjoyed our gathering. I'd happily return to try their cakes next time.

Wow, we had the best ever red velvet cake. It was moist and delicious. The icing was excellent and was made by using cream cheese and this is a game changer.

Lovely Sunday brunch and oh so deceptively filling, we had to take our cakes home to eat later. Good food, nice ambience, very attentive and nice staff. I scored them a four because of chipped cups (a pet hate)…and forgotten bacon (which was swiftly rectified).

I have a severe celiac and diary allergy i always use to go to lolas to get my cakes. I went to the West Hampstead branch and the staff were absolutely horrible. Lady served me and i gave a her list of what what i could not eat and which cake is suitable and she was rude, kept telling me to read the label! didnt know what she was talking about, and made me feel horrible. Never been treated like this in a lolas normally their staff know their stuff, know their cakes and treat customers correctly! I will never go there again. If you have a sever allergy i would not use Lola's in West Hampstead they are rubbish.

Eine breite Speisekarte aber alles sehr lecker und ist frisch zubereitet. Man schmeckt eine super Qualiltät der verschiedenen Produkte. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich. Hier ist nur Kartenzahlung möglich.

Ottima colazione sia dolce che salata. Abbiamo provato sia la classica English breakfast, che altri piatti a base di salmone, nonché cappuccino e croissant. Tutto molto buono. Un po' caro, come tutta l'Inghilterra d'altronde! Sicuramente sopra la media di Londra. Personale cordiale.

Wir waren sechs Personen und nahmen hier an drei Tagen ein Frühstück ein. Wir nahmen alles quer durch die Karte, vom Chiapudding über die Avocados mit Lachs zum Classic English Breakfast. Immer bekamen wir TOP Qualität, sehr gut zubereitet und präsentiert. Ebenfalls von frischen Minztees über den Earl Grey oder English Breakfast bis zum Americano oder Cappuccino, wir genossen alles außerordentlich! Der Service war aufmerksam und zuvorkommed, lediglich die Spülmaschine sollte mal auf ordnungsgemäße Funktion geprüft werden.

Bit of a rip-off I’m afraid. Didn’t realise till I examined the bill carefully after we’d paid and left(yes,I know,my own fault) that they’d charged us for a large coffee we didn’t order and £2 - yes, £2 - for half a medium sized grilled tomato as a side. I’d asked for an extra shot in my coffee which is usually complementary elsewhere- that was 40p. The food was OK. I had mushrooms on toast with poached eggs. Poached eggs were fine and hot which is great, but the bread was barely toasted and soggy. My friend had eggs royale with her hollandaise on the side. The Hollandaise was fridge-cold. Coffee came in an enormous soup bowl-like mug which was really quite difficult to hold. Lola’s is great for baked goods and I will always go to them as a first choice for delicious cakes and pastries. But there is a very good choice of cafes nearby which provide better value for money and better breakfasts.

My daughter (11, but Tripadvisor only offered the option of "teens" - although I also saw people with babies there) and I were on holiday in London and staying down the road from Lola's Bakery. We went for breakfast or brunch every day and everything we tried was delicious. I am vegan and was spoilt for choice. Service was excellent, staff very friendly, the interior was nice. If we had had more time, we would have come back for cake in the afternoon but we were in London mainly for the sightseeing. We had the vegan shakshuka, the vegan English Breakfast, the berry shake, pancakes with berry compote and crème fraiche, croissants (vegan and none) and breakfast muffins, various teas and soft drinks. The cakes looked divine. Would definitely come back, and recommend highly.

Bar per colazioni tipo pasticceria,molta scelta di torte e muffin,possibilità di english breakfast . Il bar è molto carino e arredato bene,peccato per il personale..la cameriera che ha preso le ordinazioni non aveva assolutamente pazienza e poi al momento di pagare..quando ho chiesto lo sconto convenzione con il b&b mi è stato negato perche in ritardo di 10min…ma che modi sono.

I probably visit here between 2/3 times a month mainly to get the apple cinnamon buns..although when they’re good they’re amazing but quite frequently they’re dry & on the stale side..definitely don’t appear to be fresh each time which if I was nearby wouldn’t even bother to mention but it’s quite a trek to get there & can be a bit disappointing. I am gluten free so this place can be a real treat but wish it was more consistent & also offered gluten free products that weren’t also vegan..some of us want to eat dairy & enjoy buttery treats. Staff great & always super helpful,but just a couple of tweaks & it would be perfect 👍🏻

We visited for brunch as a group of 4, we hadn’t booked but only had to wait 20 minutes and the staff were really helpful and kind. We had one coeliac with us and they were really great. Full breakfasts were well worth the cost! Thank you and we will be back!

I visited Lola’s bakery today for brunch with a friend and I was beyond satisfied with my experience. The food was beautifully presented and very good quality and the staff were kind and friendly, especially Katie who is a credit to the bakery. The manager also found us a lovely seat outside in the sun, even though it was a busy time. Will be visiting again and would recommend to anyone.

Lola's bakery is a delight. Their pastry is so good and yummy. They also do breakfasts and salads. But you have to try their cinnamon buns, especially the pecan one. Great place for a sit in or take away.

Incredible choice of cakes, highly recommend their vegan lemon and raspberry cake which I could honestly eat every day. I love the West Hampstead branch, wonderful service there!
