Lucia Wine Bar & Grill in East Riding of Yorkshire

This is a very smart restaurant. Nice décor and lay-out. Servers were friendly. The night we visited the food was rather disappointing. Shame.

Booked a few weeks before Xmas,as myself and hubbie working over Xmas and new year so decided to have a night out together. I had read the reviews on here was was very tempted to cancel ,but decided to give it a go hoping maybe the bad reviews were down to a busy Xmas period and not enough staff etc.. well I am so glad we went,the ambiance was amazing,our waitress (didn’t get her name) was lovely and very on the ball. Couldn’t fault the food,garlic bread,pork belly and meatballs starters,all delicious. Mains of sea bass,ribeye steak again both delicious,washed down with a couple of cocktails and drinks each.. I’m glad we went and will definitely be back,Hopelly it’s turned a corner and it’s back in the game for 2025. We had a really nice experience here,staff and food brilliant . Thank you.

Poor experience, some dishes tasteless, service friendly but slow and inattentive. Would visit again for drinks but not for food, we felt the prices were too high to go away disappointed.

Vegetarian beware! I chose a dish with a v next to it, I asked the waitress if she could confirm the Parmesan was a vegetarian verity and did not contain animal rennet. She went to ask the chef who said it was indeed animal rennet. I said the dish should not be advertised as vegetarian as the Parmesan was mixed into the dish and could not be left out. I then emailed to say these dishes should not had the vegetarian symbol next to them and that a chef should know animal rennet is not acceptable to a vegetarian. I was disappointed not to receive a reply! Maria

The positive from this visit, is that the Misto di Carne pizza was fabulous - one of the best pizzas we have had in a long time. The seafood linguini however, was just that - linguini with some seafood. No sauce, no seasoning, no flavour. The calamari rings still had the membranes on them. The seafood didn’t taste fresh, but had the watery texture of frozen. For £20 a portion we were expecting much more. The food took a long time to appear. Once our main was eaten a different server than we had earlier came over and told us that there was only 15 minutes left on our table booking so if we wanted dessert or coffee we would have to move to the bar area. (The very small print on the booking confirmation when I looked later did say 2 people only had 1.5 hours). We declined and asked for the bill, we didn’t feel very welcome at this point. The bill arrived with a “discretionary cover charge”. We would normally tip in a restaurant, but resent being told how much and didn’t feel the experience was worth it, so didn’t leave it. £6.50 for a pint of lager, with a tonic water, a basket of bread , 2 mains and a salad adding up to £60 and then being told we couldn’t have dessert at our table because it had taken so long to get our main course wasn’t great. The restaurant wasn’t exceptionally busy at 5.45pm and we ordered quite quickly. The hour and a half would normally be acceptable for a fast chain pizza restaurant, but we thought Lucia’s would have been more than that. A disappointing experience.

We arrived for our table at 4:30 to a quiet restaurant, had to ask to order drinks at 4:50 as service was so slow. Food was average but not worth the wait/ price you pay. Staff not welcoming and cold at best. Will not be returning in a hurry

Save your money and go to Wetherspoons.

First time I've been in a good many years & it's gone right downhill. Reminded me of Ask - and that is not a compliment. Party of 7. Two people had ordered pizza. Their meals didn't arrive with everyone else's. 10 minutes later they were presented with flaccid, half cooked pizza & no hint whatsoever of apology. Tried to overcharge on the bill. When challenged they corrected it with "I've changed that for you" (like they're doing us a favour). "It's an easy mistake to make" was what we got instead of an apology. Overall just not good enough.

Poor overpriced food and poor service. Two of our party of 7 arrived later than the others and despite being seen by staff, sat without a drink for 20 minutes. Two pizzas ordered with the mains were delayed, without apology, and were undercooked. The bill was wrong, and when corrected, as opposed to an apology, the waitress told me, "It was an easy mistake to make." The 10% service charge added to the bill was disgraceful. I used to enjoy dining out at Lucias but won't be returning.

Do not go. If I could give no stars I would. Years ago I went and it was very nice. Today I recommended the same place to my wife and her family (without me) she is egyptian and so is her family. They were racially attacked by the supervisor, the food arrived late, the waitresses were nice to other tables and rude and dismissive of them. The food came and was horrible. Over salted and apparently the chicken wings were rotten. The sad thing is, if they were nice for even a second my mother in law would have left a massive tip and would recommended the place to her freinds in the town. Don't go here, the supervisor and manager clearly just felt they could walk all over them because they are not English. Disgusting

Good food and excellent service. However, a strange place with loud and nauseating music. The table next to us had three young lads on it who were shouting and swearing but the staff said nothing. Not a relaxing and enjoyable experience, which is a shame as the food really was very good.

We had our wedding meal here and could not fault anything. The service was great from the organising to the end of our meal. Food was amazing. Just a huge thank you for an excellent day.

Rubbish asked for medium rare fillet came out tough as leather sent it back it took so long to replace my wife had finished her meal they charged full rate for the side I had ordered with my main saying is was company policy. Company policy serve crap and charge for it

We ate with friends from their Weekday Fixed Price lunch menu, 2 starters, 4 mains and a couple of desserts. Despite it being a very busy lunchtime, service was very, very good, attentive and with a smile. We didn’t have to wait too long for our food, starters of a Prawn cocktail ( lovely firm ‘meaty’ prawns, a tangy Marie Rose sauce) and Chicken Liver Pâté. Neither ground breaking, but very tasty and well presented. Mains were Fillet of Seabass on Saffron risotto - fish was fine, the risotto, whilst being creamy with well cooked rice was a little bland - maybe too subtle flavour for us ? Other mains were a beautifully creamy mask with a tender chargrilled rump steak with chimichurri, perfectly cooked medium rare, and finally a Steak Ciabatta with chips, tasty with strips of fillet, sautéed onions and mushrooms. Desserts were a couple of scoops of ice cream, the other a delicious gooey GF Chocolate brownie with ice cream. Including a couple of soft drinks, the bill came to short of £100 including service charge of 20%. This is well cooked and presented food, portion size just right for us on a lunchtime. What’s not to like!!

I have been visiti g Lucias for ma y years, even before they opened up their courtyard restaurant. Most recently, I have been there twice In the last two weeks, as usual I was not dissapointed, the food was excellent, the sevice was polite and attentive without being intrusive. Its great that Lucia's of Beverley not only maintain a high standard, but they seem to be able to also find ways of enhancing the customer experience as I have seen gradual improvement frim an already high standard. Outstanding!

Regular customers at both branches of Lucia, more so Beverley as we are local to Beverley town. I visited a Michelin star restaurant on Friday evening with a friend and then Lucia on Saturday evening with my partner. I have to say Lucia blew the other spot out of the water from start to finish from entering the receptionist was very professional and introduced who our waiter would be by name. I actually can’t remember the name of the waiter but she had clearly been trained well and said what she had to but it didn’t seem like she was just following a script, she did try to make us spend money a little bit but I guess that is part of what her job is, as it happens we did get some chips on the side! Food was tasty and pretty. The staff all knew what they were doing on a busy Saturday night

The only positives were the friendly helpful staff-I feel sorry for them serving up overpriced,meagre portioned and badly cooked food. Most recent genuine reviews confirm this. What has happened to the Lucia's where, in the past,you would enjoy a well cooked fair priced meal? A chicken or beef skewer with four pieces of dried up,tough meat for £24.00 .Really? Avoid until the management changes and they employ a chef who can cook. There are many other restaurants in Beverley serving good quality food at realistic prices.

We came here for a special birthday meal with family we don't often see, the atmosphere and decor are lovely, however.. I wasn't going to bother writing this and just pass it off as a bad experience and move on but I find myself still thinking about it the days after. Firstly we were sat at a table that didn't really fit 8 people, so we felt squashed in. We pre ordered our food from the Al a Carte menu so was expecting something special. Unfortunately it soon became apparent that it was far from that. The two lasagnes that were ordered had to be sent back as there was hardly any meat in them more like cheese fondue, the staff were more than happy to change for something else on the menu but by the time the replacement pizza and skewer had arrived everyone else in the party had pretty much finished with their meal. I later found out from my elderly father, who had paid for the meal as a birthday treat, that the two lasagnes had been taken off the bill but replaced with what we had to inconveniently reorder, at a higher price!! Why should we have been charged for something that was clearly a quality issue in the kitchen!??? We also ordered the £24.50 beef skewers or " beef skewer" on the al a carte menu, I was expecting tasty succulent meat... It was one dry tasteless fatty skewer on the plate with a small pot of chips and 'salad' which consisted of a handful of bagged rocket with a sprinkle of parmesan. Overall disappointed, overpriced, meadeocre birthday meal. What's the saying.. " if you lower your expectations you'll never be disappointed" Safe to say we won't be returning.

Expensive food that wasn’t anything special. £9 for tomato bread is crazy

Great venue in the centre of Beverley, can be missed easily if walking along due to being situated down a narrow alleyway. Good service which are well-trained in upselling. If you want water for the table, specify which type as bottled water is chargeable, and also specify which Coca Cola you would like otherwise diet/max will get brought. Food cooked fresh, sour dough pizza a little soggy due to being over-sauced, giving it a slightly undercooked feel. Steak ciabatta tasty. All food well presented. Chips nothing special, if I was to guess they are McCain skin on fries being used based on how they looked and tasted.

Wonderful place to celebrate a special occasion. Beautiful colourful decor plus extention into a conservatory (that looks like it has a folding back roof), creates a feeling that you are outside. Patio heaters ensure you stay nice and warm. Excellent food and pleasant service. Overall a great evening.

Cocktails are amazing, food is great and plentyful

We have just returned from Lucia’s in Beverley and I must say I am eager to leave this review. From us walking through the door we were treated so well, it was busy and we hadn’t booked ahead at all, the staff found us a lovely table for 2 in a quiet area and we couldn’t have asked for better. We ordered the cheeseburger and chips which was 2 burgers chargrilled with lovely melted cheese on top slightly crispy which was so good. I had the Misto di carni pizza and it was honestly the best pizza I have ever had, we were blown away with the food and service and wouldn’t hesitate to come back again.

The food was terrible, very poor. The meat was cold, the chips were like warm and very poor value for money.

We ordered a bottle of Moët and my partner had a cocktail aswell. £100 in just over a hour and we asked politely for them to order a taxi for us as we don’t live in Beverley and they said unfortunately we cannot call taxis. Clearly they were too busy talking and lacking in taking the time to interact with paying customers! I wasn’t asking for much whilst a member of staff was yawing in the corner! To top it off after I had called a taxi I asked for a bill 20 minutes before they were going to collect us, most members of staff just walked past and didn’t even acknowledge we had a bill in front of us! Appreciate that customers are paying hard earned money to have a treat and don’t need to hear what you say/ think of other staff members nor what they are doing this weekend

Love Lucia but poor night due to the waitress response. I ordered rum & coke. We both tasted the drink & couldn't taste any rum. The waitress returned it to the bar & returned saying ithe barman said there definitely rum in. As she was walking away she said maybe if you have a few more you'll see the difference. 🙃. Now probably the barman drown rum with coke but isn't the correct way to sort a problem & there was way I was buying another drin. the waitress continued ask would you (GUYS her favourite word)like another drink

Visited recently with a group of friends. We all enjoyed our meals and thought the food was excellent. It was a Saturday evening and the restaurant appeared full, however we had great service from Piper. The atmosphere was great. We would return again.

Positives: Staff were nice and friendly Good quality food Negatives: Seated upstairs, poor view of rooftops, decor nothing like downstairs, unappealing, loud. A younger and older adult had to sit on a bench like seat with a straight back, which was very uncomfortable for both ages. Two meals were just luke warm. One meal was missing vegetables. I had been before and wanted to take family for a special meal as the atmosphere and decor downstairs is lovely. I should of known there was a problem when I was told the table was upstairs, is that OK? I thought it was an odd thing to say but now I know why. I didn't know there was an upstairs and was told I should of requested downstairs when I booked but I couldn't do this as I wasn't aware. The fact we were upstairs just ruined the whole evening, wish we had just left straight away. For 5 starters, 6 mains and drinks was almost £250 which is expensive. Wouldn't have minded so much if we'd enjoyed it, but it was a complete waste of money as the reason we chose this restaurant was for the lovely atmosphere and decor downstairs. Wish I'd not paid the service charge. Has put me off going again. Just so very disappointed.

We visited on a Saturday evening at 7 pm,the restaurant was a little busy but our table was ready and waiting for us. We all had a main and dessert, which for me wasn't as good as previous times I've been here. The staff were lovely but we felt very disappointed at the rushing of our food, once our desserts came out they were rushing to get our plates from the table as the next guests were arriving, we was asked to vacate the table before we had finished drinks and was extremely rushed, we was asked to sit in the reception area to finish our drinks, this restaurant got a fare bit of money out of us and I'm left very disappointed and shall not be returning which is such a shame. I would also like to add that we waited over half an hr for our main to be served and was told by a member of staff that you only get the table for 90 minutes. Very unhappy customer

My husband and I tried Lucia for our anniversary. Sadly, we left disappointed and I didn’t even finish the steak (I love steak!!) Cocktails in the bar were tasty, the staff there work swiftly and know what they are doing. No water offered, no pre-dinner breads or balsamic/olive oil to start-would expect this at this price range, as standard. Starter of goats cheese was fine. Lights in the ceiling (we were sat downstairs) kept flickering on and off, nothing was done about it and some other diners were desperately trying to be moved seats as a result. Mains: our meals were more than 30minutes late, due to staff error (fine, they offered a free drink). However, when they arrived they were just simply not up to the standard at this price range. Steak was a poor cut and cooked medium-rare when we requested medium. Mushroom sauce was bland. Fries were like cheap supermarket ones and also bland. This dish was served with a random wedge of tomato on the side but 0 proper presentation at all (39gbp for this!) Monkfish and chorizo tagliatelle in Nduja sauce - clearly quickly thrown together, 0 cream added (this is mentioned in the menu), too much chilli not enough other flavour and hardly any monkfish - which was also overcooked. The decor is nice, but the food really lets it down. Staff are lovely but some training needed.

We did the bottomless brunch and it was fantastic! The Aperol spritz were flowing and the food was spot on! Really filling and tasty. I had the calamari and meatballs as the 2 start plates. We then shared a delicious pin wheel bread and then even got a brownie and ice cream for pudding! Stunning decor and the staff were so attentive and friendly! Will 100% be back!

Wonderful atmosphere, fantastic food, very friendly helpful staff, went to celebrate my 71st birthday only criticism I have is the background music which was far too loud especially when you are sat underneath it

Came here with my daughter last Saturday without a booking. The young girl at the front desk was friendly; asked about any allergens etc. My daughter is coeliac and when her food was brought out, I noticed it was a manager rather than the normal food server which I assume was due to the added value required due to coeliac disease. The service was professional and really friendly! Food was great and the Manager visited each table and conversed about their day - a nice touch. We’ll definitely be back

We had a lovely meal and the service was. Excellent Bex and her team were really nice and welcoming Caeser Salad and Duck were lovely as were the truffle chips Will be going back again would recommend We were surprised by the negative reviews as any problems we had were dealt with by the team

Hi what a shame we booked on Sunday arrived at 3.46 at down and waited to be served I asked three members of staff if we could order a drink over a period of 40mins to eventually get a drink , unbelievable the restaurant was only half full so disappointed I had to eventually complain to the manager on duty something I rarely do .. 3 other tables sat down after we did and were all served before us some even finished their drinks before we got a drink !! The manager on duty actually tried to blame the new staff of duty ! I asked polity twice before eventually having to speak to the manager by this point I was very unhappy spoilt the whole afternoon and my Father’s Day treat ! Expected a small discount on our bill but nothing . Poor ! We are local people and go out for food often in beverley and will not be recommending this restaurant for some time ! Rich and Jo

Service was so slow and had cheek to add service charge. Risotto stodgy although my friends enjoyed their belly pork. I didn't have a good experience and won't be back.

Well, this eatery was highly recommended, what a total disaster. First, the olives we ordered with our pre-meal drinks (up-sold by our waitress) never arrived. Next, the main course ordered by my wife arrived stone-cold, and when this was replaced with a meal of adequate temperature, it arrived without cutlery. Next, I ordered a carafe of their fine red wine, which arrived without a glass to enjoy the beverage - it took some time to acquire the necessary glass. And then, when paying for this rather expensive meal (such cost should by necessity result in fine food and service) I was told that because of the cold meal we were being relieved of paying the service charge, which by there own admission was a voluntary fee. Now, there are many fine eateries in Beverley where you will receive as good, or even better cuisine, but I guarantee you that you will receive far, far better service. You have been warned!

We chose from the lunch menu and were not dissapointed. Very good value for money. I had the seabass followed by warm brownie and ice cream. All very tasty! My husband had the rump steak on mash followed by cheesecake. The rump steak was tender and cooked beautifully. Staff were all very cheerful and helpful. We would definitely recommend. Lovely, comfortable seating areas.

Delicious and brilliant service!

Spent a fabulous couple of hours here with a bottomless brunch. This is a really different one with a choice of 2 a la carte starters, a pin wheel and then mini desert all washed down with a great selection of drinks and cocktails. Food was amazing quality and service was spot on with staff making us feel welcome, with regular deliveries of drinks.

Love the restaurant and food and service was excellent. Will definitely return. Personal choice though I prefer to leave my own tip . X

Nice decor but food lets it down. Their first attempt at our main meals came to the table cold and the second attempt was lukewarm at best. The food itself was average so would recommend for drinks only.

Really looked forward to Lucia. The internal decor is lovely but we could not find a table anywhere that didn't have a very loud speaker right above it. Not conducive to conversation and we literally couldnt hear ourselves speak so we didn't stay.

A cut above the average. Excellent decor, service, and food. Menu looked expensive, but overall, well worth it. Portion sizes were good.

I was charged over £93 for a single course meal (sirolin steak) for two and 2 drinks. This included 10% "service charge" which I decided to pay as I've seen the Staff really tried their best. Unfortunately quality of food was shocking. Orange slices in the cocktail we' ve ordered had blue/green mould stains, meat was correctly cooked but extremely poor quality, hard to cut due to presence of tendons etc. "Skin on chips" were probably from the cheapest supermarket, tiny piece of tomato the meal was served with was pathetic. I've had my first bad experience with this place straight after covid lockowns but assumed they needed time to get going again. My recent experience was the last, I won't ever go back there.

Lovely decor,venue is stunning. For starters we had grilled goat cheese and it was absolutely gorgeous . Cocktails were a bit pricey but very tasty. For my main I had wild mushrooms risotto which was a bit disappointing as it was cooked with just regular button mushrooms . I was expecting at least some oyster mushrooms. I didn’t like the fact that the vat wasn’t added to the prices on the menu so you don’t know what price you’re paying until you get the bill.

Very expensive, lots of better restaurants to chose from in Beverly. It’s a Lovely venue, nice outdoor enclosed restaurant area, if they reduced the prices of meals to compare with other restaurants in Beverley then it would be good. We planned to go for a meal for our wedding anniversary but when we saw prices on menu we decided to only have drinks & instead eat at Figaro’s Italian restaurant & had a great meal, much more competitive prices. I object to paying nearly £20 for a pizza. The cocktails weren’t great either, paid approx £10 for a Strawberry daiquiri & glass half full, just not good value for money 😐

My partner experienced the 'bottomless brunch' it's a bottomless cash draw for the restaurant. You couldn't order another drink until everybody in your party had finished theirs. Seen bigger portions of food thrown to the pigeons. £45 total rip off.

Fab venue and very attentive staff. We were there for the bottomless brunch on a Sunday afternoon which we enjoyed and those who couldn’t eat what was on the menu were accommodated by the staff. Food was amazing will definitely recommend to family a d friends

Lovely cocktails and the waitress was attentive but I was shocked at the portion sizes, quality of food and the prices. A small amount of mash which was luke warm and the risotto that accompanied the sea bass tasted like water. It was really not good value for money and certainly not how I remembered Lucia’s from a few years ago.

What a fantastic place which was recommended to us by ladies in a business in the town. Obviously we hadn't booked but they found us a table in a cosy corner. We opted for the two course lunch at 20.00 and both had a steak ciabatta with fries and rocket and it was delicious followed by a warm chocolate brownie with ice cream. We left full and happy so happy we are thinking of spending a short break in Beverley so we can experience the lovely place, staff and of course the food again. Try it you will not be disappointed.

We had not booked so decided to wait and we did eventually get a table! The ambience is the restaurant is really lovely and it was obvious it was very popular! The food looked lovely that was being served but I think I selected the wrong dish on this occasion! (fillet beef skewer). It was very dry and seemed lacking in accompaniments with just a bit of rocket and chips, I didn’t enjoy it unfortunately! It wouldn’t stop us going again and we enjoyed the evening!

Service was amazing, didn’t get the waitresses name but she was young and blonde. Very polite and friendy, food and drinks came out fast. However, we ordered truffle croquettes, they were still frozen in the middle therefore had to eat around the icey centre. The calamari was good but not worth just over 10 pounds as we dont think this was cooked properly either and drowned in a overpowering seasoning. I do not recommend the seafood pasta - watery and too acidic. Carbonara was quite nice, but again, not worth the price.

My friend and I were given the menus without warning of any dish not being available. We both decided that we wanted the lasange. When the waitress came to take our order, we both asked for lasagne then she informed us that they did not have any lasagna or any lobster. This was disappointing as I felt we should have been informed when we got our menus. When changing our orders my friend asked for the onion rings as a side. The waitress said yes and appeared to write it down. A minute later, the waitress says that she had pretended to hear what my friend said but she actually had no idea. This felt very unprofessional. Our food seemed to take longer than expected. When it came not one person on our table was satisfied. In the image below, the chicken in this pasta was absolutely crap. The carbonara pasta was very average. For fifteen quid i was in disbelief as i felt i was eating a ready meal. After the interaction with the waitress about the onion rings. When she said she had understood now, the food came with no onion rings. There were not even any on the bill so confused as to how and why this was just forgotten about after re clarifying and confirming what was ordered. Lucia’s used to be a reliable place with decent service and great food. After this experience, I will not be returning any time soon.

I went to Lucia to have some lunch with my friends and my child. I ordered a steak and fish and chips for my child. The steak was chewy and I was expecting nice fish not just fish fingers. Disappointed!

We  came here with friends for a catch up and good food. We got both - surprise there. The staff were friendly and polite, and were happy to answer any questions we might have about the food or drinks! After enjoying our starters (spiced lamb croquettes and crispy belly pork) we were soon tucking into our mains (hot honey pizza and honey and balsamic glazed duck). The food was excellent, but I just couldn't eat a dessert (opted for a cocktail) but my husband did - and I was certainly jealous (pistachio cheesecake). All in all a lovely evening meal, nice ambience and welcoming staff. We will be back!

Usually the food is good here but on the last 2 occasions, it has been extremely poor. The food has been served barely warm and the vegetables almost raw. The waitresses work their socks off so fault lies in the kitchen. So poor, will not be visiting again. Such a shame, you could always rely on this venue.

We booked at Lucia after loads of researching on what beverley had to offer at liked the look of the place and the menu. Initially all was fine off the bat we disclosed a EGG ALLERGY and checked the wine list. I had already checked these on line and found a vegan friendly option. Then onto the meal order my wife wanted the Mushroom Risotto so we had the discussion about the egg allergy and was shown the Allergy Chart which also says it DOESN'T CONTAIN eggs. So now a little relaxed proceeded with our drinks. The meals arrived and instantly my wife noted the parmasen cheese ALL OVER the risotto. We flagged this as a concern as parmasen Can contain EGGs. The server returned to the kitchen and returned with VERY WORRYING answer that it contained eggs and would we like to choose something else. We opted for a risotto without parmasen. As this is a serious allergy this mistake could have resulted in a hospital visit or the use of her Epi-pen As titled very disappointing as it was a special event and tarred by this stupid over sight and We are More concerned as to why the allergy chart is WRONG. So obviously we won't be returning to any of the venues. You did knock of the service charge which was a small token of guilt I suppose

Really liked the vibe at Lucia's. The food was delicious, Service was great and generally was a very pleasant place to spend an evening.

Food was lovely and the service was fab. I went for my daughter’s 19th birthday. We all had a starter and main course, and a bottle of Prosecco. I had sea bass for the first time and it was very tasty,

We visited today as a family to celebrate our daughters 14th birthday. Cannot thank the staff enough for making it so special. Food was lovely and the restaurant is stunning. We’re already planning when we can come back again. Thank you Lucia’s 😀

Lovely place , nice atmosphere . However , £35 for 2 courses and very small portions at that , so had desert , don’t have the cheesecake as was miniscule !

It is a sweet and beautiful place that makes you feel like you are in Autumn winter around with cherry blossom 🌸 Excellent for having a meal with friends or family. The food was okay and had a reasonable price.

This is a great place to eat , the atmosphere with the live band is young and energetic a great evening

Date afternoon for 2 teenagers. I contacted the restaurant before booking to ask if they would be able to eat without a parent staying. Very clear and concise and lovely staff. The two teenagers enjoyed their meal, and it was a great experience for them. Lovely service and very friendly service. Well done Lucias. I would definitely be back again.

Service was abysmal, absolutely shocked, didn’t even wait for a reply from the table when asked if the food was ok and it wasn’t. Could do with re-training staff so they’re not visibly yawning, nattering and rolling eyes on shift. Didn’t take our soaking jackets but took others on arrival?? Really disappointed. Won’t be returning.

Last minute lunch booking midweek. very attentive service with lovely food . Wine is very much overpriced , it was more reasonable at the Ivy in London?

Visited before Christmas with friends and it was super busy so it took a while for food to arrive. The lady serving was so rude to us, it felt like non of the staff wanted us there and were indirectly racist. No one asked to put our coats in the cloak room even though every other table was asked. The waitress rolled her eyes when we asked for things - dont ever want to come back which is a shame because we did like the food. Never felt so horrible in a restaurant.

Been several times, lovely atmospheres, food never disappoints. Excellent and friendly service. Went for the roast dinner which was perfect.

Best thing about Lucia is that our two dogs are always welcome and treated like superstars! The interior is divine. The food is amazing. And the staff are the best. So friendly and helpful, what a superb team! Being Vegan the menu is fine and the chef has always been accommodating, so any little tweaks or changes to a dish to suit my diet has never been a problem. Highly, emphatically, recommend.

Came tonight, have to say it was a big group and we had pre ordered. Staff went through order to check it was correct which was great.. drinks where slow. So we were on a set menu which was advertised as nibbles, starter and main for £35 or three course with nibbles for £40. Some had 2 and some had 3. No nibbles arrived and clearly don't exist. Starter was pan fried king prawns in a chili and garlic sauce/butter. Well what we got was 5 King prawns COLD and no sauce and just chunks of chilli. The prawns where like from a Christmas prawn ring defrosted and put on a dish with dry bread. Next i had steak, (alot of us ordered steak and had to pay 4 pound extra) ordered with a mushroom sauce, was really looking forward to this, well it looked OK when it arrived but no sauce arrived withbthe steak. so had to ask for this, when I started cutting into it, it was tough, then when eating it, I had to chew it for ages and was a struggle, some of the worst steak I have had for a premium price!!!! The sauce did arrive but looked like it had curled and wasn't very nice. Overall very disappointed with the place and expensive. I feel robbed. Some people couldn't finish the steak as the staff didn't know which steak was medium or what was rare or well done, so all ended up with different, so people struggled to eat it. The staff were friendly and asked us if we needed more drinks, but the food was a let down.

Lovely place and great atmosphere. Bit pricey but worth it.

5/5 would go again! We sat in the courtyard that was made to look like a courtyard but undercover. Our waitress Piper was highly attentive. As it was my birthday they gave us all a free glass of Prosecco and I got a free ice cream with a candle. We all tried different dishes that were equally tasty and there were plenty of others we’d like to go back to try

This was my second time at Lucia’s, my first experience wasn’t the best due to cheap saffron spoiling the dish. Second time, I have experienced really bad customer service - staff need more training, the dishes are overpriced for what they are and how average they are - nothing special. There will be no third visit. Bad bad and again bad
