Luis' Plaice in Southend-on-Sea

I just wanted to say that the fish and chips from your takeaway were absolutely delicious! The fish was perfectly cooked and the batter was crispy and flavorful. The chips were also cooked to perfection - crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I was also impressed with the friendly and efficient service I received - it made the experience all the more enjoyable. I will definitely be returning to your takeaway for more fish and chips in the future. Keep up the great work!

Food is ok ish. Communication is poor which spoils the whole experience. Will not order again. the owners didn’t really get the issue and that’s the problem

The fish and chips from this takeaway were absolutely delicious! The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, and the chips were thick and hearty. The portions were generous and the prices were very reasonable. Overall, a great experience and I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a tasty fish and chips meal. Thank you so much 😋

Best chips in Southend by a mile. Huge portions of steaming hot, fresh chips for £1.70. And the piri piri salt is fantastic

Luis plaice is now under new management since 20 November 2018 and it's absolutely fantastic ribs are amazing and chickens so soft.. Highly recommended... You won't regret it

Luis' Plaice was always my go to 'Plaice' but in the last few months the 'chef' has been surly and disinterested. Tonight I waited to be acknowledged, 'Chef' looked at me, turned his back and picked up a broom and started sweeping!!! No acknowledgement, no greeting......SO, HE GOT NONE OF MY BUISNESS !! Went down the road- it was like night and day with wonderful service and a SMILE. No wonder Luis' Plaice is empty on a FRIDAY NIGHT !!

I thought I'd give this place a try as its fairly local to me, the four times i've been there i've been disappointed every time. They seem to never have hot pies ready so you may think your getting a nice crispy hot pie but it will be microwaved so a soggy inedible mess. Why on earth would anybody want a microwaved pie?I never got to trying the fish, if they cant manage a pie I rather not try.I will be going back to The Olive Tree by the cliff pavillion from now on.

Tonight we decided to try cod and chips to take away. Cod was thin and batter hard and burnt. Enough chips to feed the whole of Southend but they were over cooked and hard. With a gherkin and mushy peas this cost £18.50 so not cheap. Sadly a disappointment.

We popped in for a quick dinner before visiting the palace theatre, the fish (cod) was thin and tasteless, the chips where ok. Service was good, but you expect that when you are the only people in the restaurant.

This place has to be one of the best fish and chips shop I have ever been to. Lots of choices and the fish are fresh and big portions. Enough to not make you hungry for ages. The place is beautifully presented and clean, the staffs are friendly and positive - they make sure you are having a great experience. They also do delivery and the same level of flavour and professionalism.I highly recommend this place for a nice lunch or dinner. They also do breakfast and they are as tasty.

Este lugar ha tenido una renovación bajo una nueva dirección, por lo tanto también cambian los menús. Pedí un bacalao y patatas fritas para experiencia estándar el orden usual para los primeros tiempo. Los peces eran recién preparado y también las patatas fritas eran fresco y me dijeron que las patatas peladas en el día y un uso muy rara vez el día antes de patatas, que lo hizo peel su registrada de frescura una ventaja.Como la comida llegó, el mediano cod tenía buen aspecto, más grande de lo que me esperaba, así que el factor sorpresa de la presentación fue muy profesional y atento. El pescado fresco - esponjosas y probado empanada crujiente, que era increíble. Mejor pescado que tuve en un tiempo.El paisaje de el nuevo lugar es limpio y refrescante, sin embargo, tienen planes para hacer la escena más atractivos para decorar más y hacer la experiencia más memorable.Sin duda hizo que el lugar sea memorable y voy a visitar más a menudo para el desayuno/almuerzo o cena cada vez que visite la zona. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente a cualquiera buscando un gran pescado y patatas fritas experiencia con la familia y/o amigos.
