Absolutely delicious, every time we go!’

Quality pizza place with the odd side dish. Friendly staff and amazing puddings. Highly recommend.

A return visit after many months, and we certainly were not disappointed. A relaxed Saturday lunch, with good food, great ambience, and good service, attentive and certainly not rushed. All staff were polite and the manger took time to talk to all the dinners. Thank you.

Good atmosphere, food was nice but service let the whole place down. As we arrived there was a girl at the front counter, she looked at us but then continued doing whatever she was doing, no greeting or acknowledgment (weird), we were then greeted and seated by a gentleman (who was friendly and smiley) after that. One of the servers also didn’t have their hair tied back, not the nicest thing when they’re serving food! We had a birthday cake to be brought out as a surprise but the waitress put down the side plates before the cake even came out, a little bit of thought wouldn’t have gone amiss as the surprise was then ruined. I think training is definitely needed, and a smile from the servers wouldn’t be hard! There are other great restaurants in the area where service is always warm and friendly.

We held a birthday party for my 1 year old son and 30 of his friends in early December and it was an awesome event. Enzo is a fantastic host and made the preparation very easy to achieve the layout, atmosphere, food order and actual execution on the day we wanted. I would definitely recommend Luppolo and Enzo for other events and the restaurant generally. Thanks for all your help!

Would highly recommend Lupollo in Wanstead. Especially Vincenzo and his team. I recently organised a big surprise 70th birthday for my father in law and invited all his friends and family (including a lot of young children). Vincenzo (Lupollo manager) was so helpful, met with me a number of times prior to the day to ensure all the food provided on the day was suitable for the guests attending, and the area for the party was suitable for the kids. On the day all the staff were so helpful in ensuring the day run smoothly and my father in law was completely surprised and everyone had a lovely time. The food was amazing! Thank you again Vincenzo and team. Would highly recommend if anyone is thinking of doing a party and loves good Italian food :)

We went there couple of days ago for food and drinks . Food and atmosphere was on spot. Our server Boryana was really kind and helpful. Thank you for taking care of us . The food was reasonable, although baking pizza is not difficult. However, a mistake was made with one of the pizza orders. Whilst quick to take the drinks order, the service was appalling after that. The staff were totally unaware that our table of four had finished our first course and we were left sitting with empty plates and glasses. Not until we stacked the plates up and signalled to the waitress did she dain to clear them away. Following that we had to ask for the desert menu. We ordered two deserts to be shared with our partners, therefore requesting an extra two plates. On its arrival we were short of the two plates as requested. The waitress went for two more plates put them down and left. Guess what folks? - no cutlery! More signaling to the oblivious staff and a ‘bucket’ of utensils, more suited to a first course (including the condiments), was clattered onto our table with no desert forks. On starting the desert I looked at my partner and she confirmed they had given us the wrong desert. On pointing this out to the waiter he rolled his eyes, only to return a few minutes later with the vanilla ice cream in a glass. Which again was belligerently put on the table with no apology. This was turning out to be somewhat like an episode of Faulty Towers, but without the humour. The bad manners of the staff was confirmed when the banana turned up on a saucer several minutes later, again no apology. In conclusion the staff were too busy at the end of the bar talking rather than having an overview of the diners and providing the required service. Once in attendance they were not attentive enough to get the orders correct - on both courses. The mistakes were not rectified with an apology. Unfortunately I did not realise there was a 12.5% service charge included in the bill. With such appalling service a tip of 1% would be excessive. Not at all personable, not at all professional. Staff training required quickly before more customers like us show their disappointment and dissatisfaction by avoiding Lappulo, or rather Lappalling.

We recently had a lovely meal at Luppolo in Wanstead. The food was delicious, especially the pizza which was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the service was excellent. We were looked after by a waitress named Boryana who was particularly attentive and friendly. We would definitely recommend Luppolo to anyone looking for a great meal in Wanstead.

We’ve had two great experiences at Luppolo and it’s turning into our Saturday night go-to! The food is excellent and the service is, too - when we were surrounded by a rowdy drinking table our server moved us somewhere quieter with no issues. And they are just very welcoming and friendly. We really like this place.

We have just had a birthday meal there. The group was 5 adults a teenager and 7 Yr old whose birthday we were celebrating. The food and sevice was OK, but we were asked to pay a £20 fee to cut the birthday cake we had brought with us there. We had purchased starters, mains and deserts as well as beer and wine. I was not surprised the restaurant was half empty. Had l phoned before hand and known that their is a charge for cutting a cake l would most definitely have taken the family elsewhere. Our bill was over £209 and l resented spending it there. Disappointed.

Very poor service. Was offered wrong drinks twice. Full of uncontrollable children (every time we've been in it has been full of toddlers). Food is nice, but atmosphere ruined by kids (too many, I'm a parent myself). I didn't realise it was a kids restaurant. Will avoid in future for grown up space

Not very impressed that this restaurant has gone cashless. In this day and age all businesses should be accommodating both cash and card, we're not in COVID times anymore and people/businesses need to stop being scared of cash and start accepting it again.

We have been to Luppolo a few times now and each time we felt that the service, food and atmosphere were great. There’s a really nice cosy and chilled vibe to the place with low lighting, and the music was ambient and relaxing. We visited last on a Thursday night. We ate the garlic bread, chicken pizza and the salami one, all the food arrived hot and fresh. The menu had lots of nice food to chose from and we were able to walk in and get a table for 2 without booking even though there were quite a few people in there. We were served by Vincent who we found to be friendly and professional, and he was able to make some menu suggestions to us. Also we loved the garlic aioli dip! Would recommend eating here. Thanks!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Luppolo, where I was served by Shoma, an exceptional Hungarian waiter. From the moment we arrived, he provided a warm welcome and an outstanding level of service. Shoma was knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations and insights into the dishes. He was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring our glasses were always full and checking in on us at just the right moments. I would highly recommend seeking out Shoma if you visit the restaurant

OK. Service was absent. I had to search for a waiter and ordered at the bar. The menu was by request (looked surprised when I asked) and I was not offered specials or the lunch deal. I had to find my own table rather than being shown to a table. I got a meal but it wasn’t easy. The cook shouted over my head to ask if my order was a takeaway which isn’t really normal in a restaurant for seated guests. £25 is a lot for a drink and a pizza with takeaway style service.

We had a lovely dinner at Luppolo. We had no idea to try, however the manager was so helpful and friendly with us. We tried the new gnocchi from the special menu and amazed by the quality of the food. Thank you for your lovely food and friendly staff ❤️

Had a lovely evening at luppolo. Pizza and drinks are always amazing here. Our waitress Mia was very attentive and friendly, despite it being super busy. Food and drinks are very good value for money. Recommend this place for a chilled but good dinner.

We came here for an early dinner on Sunday evening with another family and our 4 young children. We have done this previously and had an enjoyable experience so thought we would do the same again. When we arrived our waiter took the children's order as well as our drinks order. He did not write these down. He asked if we wanted the children's food to come out first, which we did. A little while after, the adults food order was taken. Our drinks arrived and the IPA's were not IPA's but lagers. After a while we realised that other tables who had ordered after us had already been served food so we questioned the whereabouts of our food. It became apparent that the children's meals had been forgotten. The food did arrive, after some time. The food was fine, nothing to write home about. I think the pizzas are probably better than the pastas (an adults pasta was pretty much the same size as a children's pasta). The table next to us had a dog at the table. By 'at the table' I mean, quite literally, sitting on the banquette and eating from the table. It also spilt a huge bowl of water under the table, which didn't get cleared up at all for the entire duration of our meal. The toilets were also in a bit of a dire state - with one of the ladies toilets having no toilet seat. Trying to catch someone's eye to get more drinks orders taken was painfully slow. We ended up walking up to someone to get the children's ice-cream ordered.... which was then forgotten about. We complained on the day about the poor service and the waiter made a big show about taking our service charge off the bill (note: we would have absolutely refused to pay this anyway!) All in all, we wish we'd gone over the road to Trattoria Alba as Luppolo really seems to have gone downhill recently.

Great place! Food and drinks ate superb! Axel was our host for the evening, he was very polite and attentive and really took care of our table. It was a celebration and he really enaureseveyone had their meals and drinks and paid attention to us throughout the night which we really appreciated.. Food was fantastic! We thoroughly recommend anyone to come here!

A really nice spot in Wanstead, it’s got a pub/bar vibe but it’s mostly a pizza and Italian food joint. The staff are lovely and accommodating, it’s quite family friendly and the food is decent though don’t expect to be blown away. Solid place to go back to periodically if you live in the area.

We used to be locals and visited the place lots of times in the past. We came on Saturday for lunch with our little one and we felt really unwelcomed. The service was average. The food was terrible and they didn't even ask us if we were happy. We ordered the charcuterie board, pesto pasta, carbonara and a chicken ceasar's salad. First of the charcuterie board didn't have vinaigrette and the rocket wasn't fresh. Then for the mains pesto pasta was good but the rest were terrible. Carbonara was over cooked and I've never had a ceasar's salad in my entire life that had such a sour taste and dry over cooked chicken. It felt sad and it ruined our evening. With these prices, I was expecting a better service and better food.

I recently visited LUPPOLO in Wanstead and was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional taste of their Italian pizza. The atmosphere is incredibly homey, and the team of professionals in service makes each visit a pleasure. Now, I’m a regular guest because such hospitality is a rare phenomenon these days. I especially want to mention Vincenzo, who always makes us feel right at home. Highly recommend LUPPOLO for anyone looking for an authentic and delightful dining experience!

I generally love this restaurant. I was recently disappointed that my appointment for 31st july was confirmed later to find out that it was cancelled.

I've been a loyal customer for 3 years and ordered, for delivery, the same thing as usual, chicken Caesar salad and orecciete pasta. The order arrived half the size it usually does, shameful portioning. And completely flavourless. The pasta was overcooked, had no kick (it's meant to be spicy), no salt, no other flavour than "oil". If you can call that a flavour. Really really disappointed.

What to say? We had a great lunch today, we been served by the general manager Vincenzo that guide us along the service thru a very good selection of food. We had such a good time, can’t wait to come back to try the gnocchi 😊❤️

Came here for a quick stop for food on a Sunday and ended up waiting an hour for one margarita pizza. This was during a very quiet time in the restaurant where there were only really 3-4 groups of patrons. Pizza was fine, average and met my expectations, but it was the amount of time taken for a fairly simple dish and the disengaged staff who compelled me to write a review. Felt like they had forgotten about our order.
