Lyns Cafe in Leicester

Lovely friendly staff 1st visit yesterday lunchtime had a cooked breakfast staff cheery and friendly and cater for likes/dislikes they swapped some menu items such as beans and tomato for extra toast was no trouble for them I will return they have large varied menu for all tastes

I tend to pop in here with my son, Cyrus, for a treat. They have special needs so we tend to only to calmer places and they absolutely love it here. The people that work there are always extremely kind, patient and relaxed, even when the cafe is super busy. One of my son's favourite places to go.

Had a few different foods from this place and always satisfied, had a good breakfast here too and great service. Old school, clean, tidy and food service

We popped in Lyns Cafe early on a Monday morning after we had been for a check up at the Dentist near by, I turned up at 8-45 while waiting for my husband to finish at the Dentist, they kindly made me a cup of coffee although they didn’t open till 9am. We had breakfast and it was freshly cooked to perfection. Definitely recommend a visit if your in the area.

Visited for a hangover curing breakfast after a night out in Leicester. Very welcoming atmosphere and great breakfast. Very well priced.

Fantastic place go here every week or even a few times a week sometimes always get the same for me and partner eaten in once or twice too, great food, great place, great staff, thank you for providing great food and service! Once even forgot a cob for my partner and dropped it after they had finished fantastic service! Cheers

I had a very unfortunate experience of having to visit this terrible cafe on a business trip to the UK. Myself and My colleague were driving along the busy Narborough Rd on our journey back to the M1 on to the airport when he suggested a quick breakfast after noticing this cafe as we sat in traffic.

Awful place, dirty and filthy and full of grease. Not happy not satisfied and in all fairness not feeling well

Been to Lyns Cafe loads of times Food is always hot and fresh very reasonably priced large choice of menu including specials board the staff are always happy and very friendly highly recommended

Have never had a bad meal at Lynns cafe....it is an institution around this area and has been established for over 35 years....the food is so fresh...top quality food....cooked to perfection....the breakfasts are my fave....most dishes are all around the £5 mark...the roasts are amazing...no frozen potatoes here....highly recommended...great service...extremely clean and always made to feel welcome.

Great value for money, food all homemade and staff are really friendly and will do anything for you.

It's now got to the stage for me where I have to walk into the cafe backwards, so it appears to passers by that I'm exiting. Overall an embarrassing experience the customers are the worst kind you'll meet.

I use this place on a regular basis but it is going down hill and down hill fast. I'm thinking of leaving of town altogether and i recommend giving this place a wide birth, as all day long i've had the two bob bits after Lyns usual bacteria on toast special. Be careful of the toilet especially after i've been in there.

Lyns Cafe does exactly what you would expect a cafe of this type to do, proper traditional food ie breakfasts, roasts and cakes etc. It's no frills approach is not to everyone's taste but at such low prices who cares! I would recommend Lyns to anyone wanting plain but good hearty food!

Been to the cafe a few times and realised that when I go the food makes my stomach ache for about 5 hours after, the cake in the window is all hard and stale and the toilet located outside can be seen as a mess but doesn’t help with the train line above it. Overheard staff gossiping about punters and they make small effort to clean the sticky and overused tables, doesn’t help that cafe 2/10 is across the road outshining it in class, cleanliness, service and quality.

Would not recommend going here. As soon as we sat down there was dirt and other peoples food on all of the tables. We was served dirty mugs and the tables were very sticky. The food wasn’t too bad itself but the place was absolutely filthy.

Lyn's Cafe has been a thorough surprise. The staff is very friendly and courteous, the food is fresh and tasty and homemade. The ambience makes you feel warm and at home. The coffee and apple pie combination is a must do. Overall a great experience assured.
