Maison Francois in City of London, Westminster

Probé el Paté en Croute por primera vez. Muy bueno y servido con cornichones y un poco de mostaza. Bastante grande y podría ser compartido entre dos. Las frituras de carne siempre buenas y el Paris Brest difícil de resistir. Cocina clásica brasserie ejecutada por expertos con una amable bienvenida en la puerta y un servicio atento.

Visitó el bar de vinos casual abajo para una parada en boxes mientras compraba en Navidad. Disfruté de sándwiches de Navidad (suena raro pero una gran idea y muy sabroso) y copas de vino espumoso Westwell. Ocupado y buzzy con un gran personal. Sería ideal para bebidas después del trabajo, almuerzos rápidos, etc. El restaurante principal de arriba estaba lleno y el menú parecía bueno, así que probablemente vale la pena visitarlo.

Todo empezó bien. Sin embargo, al final de la cena pedimos una botella de vino. Una vez que llegó la botella nos dijeron que teníamos 5 minutos para beber a pesar de que no nos dijeron que los últimos pedidos habían sido llamados. Cuando esto fue cuestionado, un miembro del personal (que no había servido la mesa en toda la noche) se volvió agresivo y grosero. Como resultado esto arruinó la velada. El gerente no trató bien la situación. Muy decepcionado. Tantos restaurantes en Londres... que este no es uno de ellos. Elige de otra manera.

Promedio en el mejor de los casos. Llegamos a la 1. 30 pm para nuestra reserva, pero nuestra mesa no estaba lista hasta las 2 pm. El servicio era mediocre y la comida igual. El fondant de chocolate 'caliente' estaba frío a la piedra (dos personas en la mesa tenían lo mismo) y el camarero lo describió como 'servido caliente' estaba directamente fuera de la nevera, la primera vez que lo enviamos de vuelta reapareció 1 minuto después frío a la piedra, lo intentamos de nuevo estaba vagamente caliente y la tercera vez lo mismo así que nos rendimos. El camarero dijo que lo habían quitado de la cuenta, no lo había hecho así que pagamos y nos fuimos. Todo un poco extraño y no volvería. Por el dinero es un restaurante mediocre en todos los niveles.

Tenemos dos galerías en la calle. James’s y usar Maison Francois para almuerzos y cenas de negocios. La comida es superlativa y todo el personal que sirve es muy servicial y educado. Sin embargo, el personal de recepción nos parece muy fuera de control y francamente arrogante. Somos los clientes y necesitamos ser bienvenidos a su maravilloso restaurante.

Dark, mediocre food, terrible service. Won’t go back. Waiter spoke so quickly couldn’t get what was being said. Loud party going on downstairs. Steak tartare almost liquid.

On a recent visit to London, went for dinner at Maison Francois with high hopes as French cuisine is a favourite of my husband and I. The food was good but nothing special. We asked for tap water and found a £7 (!) charge on our bill without being told tap water was not free. I asked for a piece of bread with my terrine (not ‘pâté’ as stated on the menu) and was told I could only have ‘a portion of bread’ - 4 pieces at a charge, of course. This kind of treatment leaves a bad taste in the mouth - no pun intended. In conclusion, this is an average restaurant pretending it is a fine-dining restaurant. Our bill for 2 starters and 2 mains with a bottle of wine £208.00. We will not be back.

Relax environment, good location and the food is excellent! Chef Matthew is so kind to greet us and the staffs are very friendly. Looked after us very well and very polite

They didn’t have the requested wine but offered very fabulous alternatives Fun and knowledgeable sommelier made our visit for aperitifs quite special I have been for lunch and dinner but never just drinks - great spot for after work catch up

Visited Maison Francois for their Bastille Day celebrations. The restaurant is well situated in Mayfair and has a large high ceilinged main dining room. The restaurant offers French Cuisine. We took advantage of the special Steak/Moule Frites menu as well as their special glass of Champagne and dessert offer. The variety of desserts is impressive. Our Steak was very good and so too our desserts. The ambience on the night was very good as there was a party atmosphere with their entertainers performing as part of the Bastille Day celebrations. We had a great time and will certainly visit again in the near future.

Wow! Wow! Wow! Everything was “Top Shelf” . Meal was excellent, wine was excellent, service was excellent. Sommelier Sam was engaging and had great suggestions. Overall an outstanding meal and thoroughly recommend.

We went for a family lunch. Really lovely calm spacious restaurant . Staff are so attentive and the seating is very comfortable. The food was delicious and the service was superb. The toilets are really clean which is very important. We will definitely go back.

First class attention from everyone we interacted with. Friendly, capable service from a team working very hard to make it seem effortless. Outstanding celeriac salad and ratatouille. Superb halibut in an excellent sauce with dill-infused olive oil. Pasta dish excellent too. Superb pudding selection and all of them very hard to replicate at home. A memorable experience because everything and everyone worked very well.

we ate bavette steak and mussels - the bavette was as good as bavette gets, should you like bavette , the sauce was a generic gravy with some peppercorns sprinkled on top. the mussels were nice but the sauce was creamy/almost cheesy, and sweet, not good. The service was very good , its a good looking restaurant and the downstairs bar looked pretty smart. We were there on a Bank Holiday when they do a deal on certain dishes so it was good value.

Visited as two couples on a Friday evening, the food and atmosphere was great however we will not be returning due to the terrible service. Having ordered three courses each and hot drinks we were given the bill without asking for it and then were told that they were closing and we would need to pay now and then leave. Fine by us - we were happy to finish our desserts and drinks and leave. However 5 minutes later whilst we were still eating, a waiter asked us to leave in an aggressive manner. This restaurant is not cheap and it is absolutely not the service I would expect. Very disappointed, will not be returning nor recommending to anyone else.

We’ve been to Maison Francois a number of times and have always enjoyed it. The food is tasty, the decor beautiful and the service good. But it might now be a while before we go back. We ate there on Saturday night and while the food was again good, and the service started well, it deteriorated as the night went on. After our mains had been cleared we waited for someone to offer us a dessert menu. And we waited. And waited. And waited. After 25 minutes, we decided to give up and get the bill. Which took another 10 minutes. It wouldn’t have been so bad, but we could see the waitress who had been serving us and could see that she was largely more interested in talking to the kitchen and bar staff. It was a disappointing end to what had otherwise been a pleasant evening.

Een fantastisch restaurant en super sfeervol. Fijne bediening en heerlijk eten! Prachtig opgemaakte borden en zeer smaakvol.

Cannot fault food, very good but the rest of the performance of the restaurant is not in line with the cost of the food. This is a very expensive restaurant, not a problem, we have been several times been before and have been very happy. But now it with its sharp practices one price for drinks on the menu and a higher price in the till, blatantly pouring the dregs from two bottles of champagne into our glasses, then a quick top up from a new bottle to try and liven up the insipid contents is just the final straw and it joins the number of other restaurants in London that price high and serve low.

We both had steak frites -- medium and medium rare. Both were perfectly cooked and delicious. An added bonus was that the serving size was much larger than expected. The paris brest was so so good. The chocolate mousse okay. Free fizzy water, cold beer and good wine. Excellent service.

Très jolie salle de restaurant avec cuisine ouverte MAIS TRÈS TRÈS BRUYANT. Accueil moyen moyen Impossible de s’entendre à 4. Esprit Bouillon français mais prix des plats pas Bouillon.. Très bon service. Très bonne qualité de cuisine et maitrise des appoints de cuissons. Pas de générosité des plats(quantité) et des vins (18cl un pomerol à 26€ le verre) ..ils arrivent avec un verre doseur … c’est géré, c’est certain. Prix par pers 75€/pers pour plat direct et dessert.

We ordered 2 glass of champagne which came flat and we complained the waitress said ok let me get my manager he came and opened s new bottle do that was good We ordered Duck Brochet the Duck was chewy and not good We ordered Peppered steak and chicken The steak was really bad quality and the chicken had no taste at all By advise is to avoid this place

Beware, none of the main courses comes with a vegetable or side dish, they are all extras on an already expensive menu! The pairing of crab with a heavy chicory salad tasted truly awful and my bavette steak ordered medium rare was bloody and tough with an overpowering salty sauce. The chef clearly has no palette!

I have visited this place twice now and wouldn’t have returned if I hadn’t enjoyed the first time. However, as I’m writing this I’m remembering the things that I didn’t like on both occasions. Bit of a farce to leave and collect coats in an obviously too full cupboard. Shown to a table which wobbled, so both times had someone crawling around under table to make it stable. Table was close to next one, so got fed up of being nudged every time next door table was being served. Finally price of wine is insult pricing! Ok so now move on to likes: Food, tasty and very enjoyable Team very friendly Ambience spot on Unfortunately the things I didn’t like have left the door open for me to try other places, I’m sure I will be back unless I find another place with similar food but without the negatives!

This was my second visit & second time experiencing rude staff who instead of making you feel welcome, instantly make you wish you’d gone elsewhere. The restaurant was empty apart from 3 other diners & the first thing they said to us at 10:30am was that we needed to leave by 11:30am. This already got my back up! My mothers English isn’t perfect so when taking down her order, the French waitress kept rolling her eyes & looked rushed & frustrated. I couldn’t decide what I wanted to drink & so instead of coming back in a few minutes as I’d asked, she continued to take down the order & Asos she would return to me later if I didn’t know what I wanted yet. Quite rude! The food was pleasant, very small portions & a little bland if I’m being honest. Needed salt & more garnish. The decor is stunning but the food & waiting staff leave a lot to be desired. A shame as I’m around here often but will be trying elsewhere instead

Its really ostentatious with uniformed staff member in reception area to welcome you in and polished wooden tables. But that's all part of being French isn't it. The staff, who all had standard brown uniforms, were smiling and friendly. I had a nice steak and chips and mousse with chocolate strands for dessert! Probably come back later to taste some of the more exquisite items on their menu!

Fantastic restaurant with great service. I had the herb rotisserie chicken which was perfectly cooked and my friend had the fish- both were really delicious and the waiter couldn't have been more helpful. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a cosy but glam dinner in London.

Meal -Pate 6 -Stake with fries (mid-rare) 8 -Château Crusquet de Lagarcie, Blaye-Côtes de Bordeaux 8 Price 65 pp Venue Modern but at the same time rustic Toilets with good music Mood Good music and people between 35-70 formal/relaxed Service A bit rude but they left us our space in the end Overall Great for London, stake felt like sashimi (in a good way), not expensive for what you get but pricy as there are no entry-level wines. Service could be improved but good atmosphere

The food was very good so I give that a 5, the service was above average so I give that a 4, but I was surprised to see the cushions upon which I sat were not clean so I give that a 3.

Im always excited when i see steak tartare on a menu. Was made table side and asked what ingredients i wanted added. Beyond perfection.
