Mandarin Garden in Havering

We placed order hours in advance but delivery was almost 30 mins late. When driver finally arrived tried to deliver to neighbour and insisted it was not for us.

Still waiting for our food even though the app says it has been delivered I have rung them and they said it has not been delivered waited over an hour for food and I am not happy last time we order from them starving hungry and still no food

delivery took 2 hours, some food items arrived soggy and cold. Kept ringing for an update to be palmed off each time. Wouldn't cancel/refund order to go elsewhere so we were stuck!

Order wasn't delivered to me. You should never have started using a third party delivery company!

We’ve had Mandarin Garden a few times now, it’s so tasty! All the dishes we’ve had have large chunks of meat. Vegetable Sping rolls need to be smaller… This is our go to takeaway now after being recommended by friends.

Crispy shredded beef was chewy, not crispy. But rest of meal was good. Maybe they have a new chef who needs guidance.

I ordered quite a few dishes The Cantonese chicken sweetn sour well was filled with chillie I’ve never known this dish to have any chillie so hot unbearable don’t order if you want any taste buds left on your tongue Secondly Crispy noodles no crisp going on hear !!

Mandarin Gardens always does great takeaway food. Its delicious, comes on time and they actually listen when you pop in a request. Always recommend them if you want the best chinese takeaway in the area.

Normally it’s really good but this time what should have had prawns in the curry. didn’t. Every time I have ordered from them and it has always had 3 big ones in. Last time it had 2 but at least it still had what it stated. This time not even 1 in it.

Usually the food is 10/10 but the salt and pepper chicken/ chips were SO salty it wasn't enjoyable. The chow mien was very dry too. Such a shame because it's usually so good.

absolutely disgusting food. reheated from the night before, swimming in oil. called the restaurant and was told the driver is 30 minutes away, he had just delivered it and there is nothing he could do. waste of money and time.

Placed an order at 6.52pm, with a delivery estimate of 7.55-8.15pm. At 7.30pm, tracking info updated to inform the food was out for delivery. At 8.15pm the app updated to inform the food had been delivered. At 8.16pm I made 4 attempts to ring the restaurant and was told that the food had just been cooked and they were waiting for a delivery driver to collect and deliver. I asked how long this would be and they said 10-15 mins. At 8.32pm, I made a further call to the restaurant with no response, so I requested a message back in 5 mins through Just Eat. I received a message at 8.36pm saying the delivery time had updated to 8.50pm. At 8.50pm, I made a further 7 attempts to ring the restaurant. When I got through, I was told it would be another 5 mins. I explained it had been 2 hours since I placed my order, the lady said this is normal for a Friday and Saturday as it’s busy. I explained just eat had an estimated time of 40-55 mins. She said no, there is no maximum time and could take 2 hours. I am absolutely disgusted with this service and lack of tracking information and communication.

Normally I can’t speak highly enough of them but today the curry and curry sauce was way to hot that my mouth is still burning. I do like spice but I think they dropped it in there somehow 😂🤣. Other than that the rest of the food was spot on.

Ordered a few times & normally really enjoy it. Tonight’s order wasn’t upto scratch & to be honest wasn’t as enjoyable. Squid & noodles were cold on arrival, chicken balls were super duper greasy we both took a bite of one each and couldn’t stomach anymore. Real shame, normally a favourite of ours!

Inedible, worst take away ever. Threw the lot away. Prawn ball batter just Doug. Special Fried Rice was one solid lump Shredded chilli chicken tasted of just vinegar. Oh and chips, just mush

Sorry but really fed up with these late deliveries and just eat updates saying food on way and then enjoy your meal and the food turns up 20 mins later. I phoned the restaurant at 7.30 to check that our food was still on schedule to be told it would be 20 mins. The food arrived 40 mins later!!! It was a big order I know but when you have family, friends and children expecting to eat at 7.45-8.00 and it doesn’t arrive until nearly 8.30 it’s just not on!!! Just eat need to get their delivery times

Beef in peking and sweet and sour chicken was watery. Leaked in the bad. I’ve ordered black bean beef before and also very watery, ruins the flavour. Need to stop watering down the sauce please. Everything else was good!

I normally order my Chinese from Mandarin Garden never been disappointed, however today was that day. Food was cold and not fresh you could tell by its taste and how dry and burned meet was. Very disappointed as I really liked this place.

chicken balls and chips over cooked

Quarter crispy duck was anything but. Definitely not a quarter, more like an either and the duck was fatty and undercooked, pancakes were ice cold. salt & pepper chicken was like rubber, it was cold, chewy and inedible. salt & pepper chips were so soggy the container had collapsed. Will certainly not be ordering from here again.

Took 2hrs to arrive, when I called the restaurant didn’t seem to care.

Received my meal slightly late. Chips were soggy and sweaty. Ordered Salt and Pepper Chicken, or so I thought, and ended up with something just chewy. When I called the restaurant they said it’s the vegan option. No mention of anything other than Chicken in the description. Had to ask a few times as to what I have actually been served and it’s Soya. So why does it not state Salt and Pepper Soya. No offer of a refund or anything. First time and only time or ordering from here.

Second time in a row they have forgot items from my order.

Food is good. But their delivery is atrocious. Before paying, it says delivery in 40-55 minutes. After they’ve taken your payment their confirmation says 90 minutes to 2 hours. After 2 hours I phoned, just to be told they were “very busy” and that food was “on its way”. Saturday night in ruined, by the time food arrived we’d got so hungry we’d starting snacking and didn’t really fancy the food.

Got shredded chicken with chilli was inedible tasted like off vinegar ,chips was soggy and I could tell they have been precooked or left out and the worst of worst quality I wouldn’t order there again first experience matters. Order number 201718694
