Mangal Karagana Turkish Restaurant and Takeaway in Bexleyheath in Bexley

Went there with a friend of mine for her birthday. Lovely staff very friendly , the food was very nice and not expensive for the good quality. Definitely will go back!

I booked a table for my wife and I for tonight to visit a Turkish restaurant Mangal Karagana as we like Turkey and it’s cuisine. But on arriving at the restaurant it turns out to be Lebanese the Turkish restaurant doesn’t even exist. We were then sat in the window amongst the take away customers whilst 3 young lady’s who hadn’t even booked were invited to sit at the rear of the restaurant amongst the other customers where there was a lively atmosphere something we would have enjoyed. We sat for a very short while before deciding to leave. So if anyone fancy’s Turkish food don’t bother booking at 222 Broadway Bexleyheath it doesn’t exist.

It was average food, there of us stoped on the way home, staff is friendly and food was ok. You can’t get best food out of take aways

Went here on Saturday was really lovely food was nice. Good service enjoyed a couple of drinks also. Food was hot and tasty . Restaurant was very clean quite a few people in also.

I was in Mangal Karagana recently. I heard a lot about it but I didn't know what to expect. I ordered lamb shish kebabs and it was the best shish kebabs I have ever eaten. It was tender, full of flavour and the dishes were quite big. The staff was very polite and nice. They made such an effort when I told them I have gluten intolerance; prepared my dishes gluten-free and the service was amazing. I would also recommend their cocktails and Turkish beer. The food is value for money and in my opinion the best in London.

Just had a lovely dinner at mangal Karaganda with my partner. The staff were very attentive and catered to our very needs. Most importantly the food was delicious. We had the mixed grill and then coffee and baklava for dessert. Would really give this restaurant a try as I don't think u will be disappointed as I definitely wasn't and will be returning again very soon

Have been here a few times now, and have never been disappointed. The food is absolutely fantastic, the meat is always tender and well flavoured and it comes with a delicious salad and rice. The portions are huge and are good value for money.The staff are always so friendly and attentive and really make you feel welcome. I also really enjoyed their homemade moussaka and there are quite a lot of options for vegetarians which is nice, because my partner is vegetarian and it is hard to find a good restaurant like this that caters for both of us so well. I highly recommend this place!!!

I went here with my Turkish husband last week and have to say I had high expectations as I have eaten in some amazing restaurants in turkey, and I have to say it didn't disappoint. The food was cooked to perfection and the rice was exactly like what I have back in turkey. I will definitely be coming back and would recommend everyone to go and see what the fuss is all about

Went here with the family, very friendly staff and good service. Nice sized portions all cooked over coal. We had a mixed grill between 4 of us and it was filling. Prices are good and comfortable seating. All in all good food and would go back again.

Ordered a family feast with chips, cost £43. had to wait a hour and half and I could not believe what they gave me. A tiny, and I mean tiny box of rice with a few lamb bones and chicken wings. No lamb doner, no chicken, no chips, no hummus. When i called to complain they did then drop off more but by then the first lot was cold and congealed. The potion sizes would not even feed my dog. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE. poor, very poor.

This restaurant has recently opened and to be honest I thought it was just a takeaway with a few tables out back. At a lose end with nothing to readily at home to eat my partner said about giving it a try. Gotta hand it to her we had a lovely meal, a mixed grill for 2 which was ample without a starter. Great friendly service from staff who couldn't do enough for you. This is now our favourite place in the area. So don't do what I did and walk by, follow the advice of my partner and give it a go you won't be disappointed

Popped in here today for lunch. Food was fantastic . Service outstanding such friendly staff . Baklava was the best I've ever tasted. Will definitely be retuning & recomending to family & friends.

Locale accogliente e pulito, cucina speziata e tipica. Io ho mangiato piatti a base di carne di agnello con spezie, cipolle veramente delizioso.

Big portions of tasty food. Try the sharing platter that comes with a lovely salad. The hot sauce has a nice little kick to it. It's a place to go for a quick meal and not for the wine!! Friendly staff in basic surroundings. You're there for kebabs not for fine dining!!!

We went for a celebration and could not have chosen a better venue. The food was fantastic, the staff helpful and we will go back again soon. The freshly baked bread is to die for.

We had nice food without being rushed. A pleasant atmosphere and would recommend to friends and hope to go back soon.

Had a take away. Wow the food was fantastic. Very authentic. The fresh bread tasted so good with hummus. The kebabs were cooked to perfection. I would definitely be going back to this place again.

Excellent customer service the staff could not be more friendly and the food was georgeous I had lamb shish which melted in my mouth and my husband had chicken shish which had so much flavour A*

Nice friendly staff but no idea of how to run service. 15 minutes to order drinks. 45 minutes for our starter to arrive, cold mezze, and then another 5 minutes for the bread to eat it with. No complaints other than that. Be prepared to wait

Probably the best Turkish meal I have had in the area. Great meat, great starters and a lovely stone baked fresh Pitta bread.

My husband and I both had a chicken shish takeaway from Mangal Karagana and it was absolutely delicious!

After dining several times at this restaurant I decided to hold my 50th Birthday celebration lunch there even though it had recently opened. As many people have said before the food is authentic Turkish cuisine. My barber who hails from Turkey reassuringly agreed with me that in his opinion Mangal Karagan is the best restaurant in the area. The meat is properly marinated which my wife always looks out for but very few restaurants do, good size portions, attentive staff, excellent service and really good value. As the decor is so beautiful we did very little in decorating the backdrop only tasteful balloons. The service has been consistently high whether I have had quick solo lunches or longer relaxed evening meals with my wife or family and friends. An important factor to hold my party here was the professionalism of the management. I had no doubt that every area of my requirements would be accommodated and that I could work together to get the best result. Received numerous comments from guests that they had a brilliant time, that the food was first class, entertainment fabulous (belly dancer and music) and staff friendly and diligent. Many guests even ordered takeaways for their dinner. Highly recommend.

Friends had suggested going for a birthday meal as their first experience was good. Sadly it was not to be this time. Very friendly staff and pleasant surroundings despite the very odd eclectic choice of music. Kids waited 1 hour and 15 mins for a chicken kebab and chips! The food that was served was either too dry, had spent far to long in the deep fryer or was far too oily. Such a shame as we'd heard good things. Felt it was over priced too for what we got. I think we'll stick with kebabies. Sorry!

Family meal, good and varied menu, generous portion size with very authentic Turkish dishes. Dawn and her staff were very friendly, will be going again.

Very disappointing, 40 minutes to get starter, waiter did not know when to stop talking, main course kebabs were tiny, local chippie is very much better, bottled beers out of date, then they ran out of cold bottled beer !!. Sorry will no be returning

We visited recently, my wife, kids and myself. The food as the title states was fantastic! This quaint lovely new addition to Bexleyheath will be a big hit soon. If you want authentic Turkish food, you should try this place. Friendly and attentive staff including the Manager Brandon, in a nice relaxed setting. The menu very reasonably priced when considering the quality and portion sizes. Consumed a few bottles of Izmir lager that went down very well...All in all a very pleasant experience. One of our new locals. Thank you Brandon.

My girlfriend and I were walking past on Valentine's Day and stopped to have a look at the menu in the window and it looked really good and great value. We were instantly welcomed in and made to feel right at home, the team couldn't have been more helpful and the dining area was decorated to suit the occasion!

We have been four times since it opened amazing food just love it. Very attentive staff and great wine what more could you ask for. Great concept

If you have not been there then I highly recommend that you do, The food is great and very nice staff. We will be back soon and I will definitely let all my family and friends know about this lovely restaurant.

Decided to try this new restaurant as we were having a family meal at home and this ticked all the boxes for a takeaway. We ordered x2 of the mixed grill for 2-4 people to feed 6 adults and 2 small children as we have always found Turkish restaurants to be generous on their portion sizes. We had also made some sides at home to go alongside the meat. Along with a portion of halloumi we spent £60. The food was packaged in x2 smallish boxes and x3 tinfoil trays which already didn't look enough? Once opened our feast for 8 would have just about fed 4.....at a push! One portion of chips, a few spoons of rice each and nowhere near enough meat! The only thing we had ample of was salad. The menu had x7 different meats listed on the menu and probably about x1 piece of each. For a serving for 4 people surely you would expect at least x4 of the chops?? There were a few pieces of chicken, a few ribs and what seemed like lots of offcuts of small meat pieces.

Went to this restaurant when it opened was served by really good waiter food was good large portions it was great .

Given a very tightly unaccessible table for 3. Squeezed in luckily, as our 4th party member was sick and couldn't make it! Slow to order drinks but Efe beer and Rose wine by the glass eventually arrived. Ordered a hot Meze and some Houmus and 2 Lamb Shish kebabs and a Lamb Shank. Mezze arrived with a portion of cold houmus on it, which when pointed out to the waiter he said sorry he wouldn't charge us! Food was very nice, meat tender and good quality. Will return.

Popped in Monday evening with my husband for a quick dinner and had the best meal in ages. Very tasty, generous portions and good value for money. Had a lovely bottle of wine which was very reasonable too. The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful. Definitely going back soon.
