On the A37, I think, but pretty much in the middle of nowhere, yet when we pulled in the car park was heaving. The cafe is a little expensive, offers panini's, baguettes and a small selection of hot lunches. No veggie fillings for the jacket potatoes oddly! The baguettes were huge and well filled. The food was fine but it lacked atmosphere despite a wall of pictures for sale and an appealing cat in the courtyard.

We visited with friends and the breakfast was amazing - two of us had eggs Benedict and two had a full English breakfast. Every ingredient was home made and absolutely superb. We also bought some of their homemade jams and bread - if we weren’t traveling in the morning we would have bought their fresh vegetables as well. This is so much nicer and less pretentious than all the so-called gastropubs that dot the area. Highly recommended. Child and dog friendly.

Watch out for the excess car parking charges payable at the till on your way out if you dare to get comfortable and have more than one drink. The toilets were utterly disgusting. I definitely would not recommend this place.

What an absolute gem of a pub! We visited recently and were blown away by how fantastic everything was. The carvery was amazing, with perfectly cooked meats and a great selection of vegetables and sides – hands down one of the best I’ve had in a long time. My daughter opted for one of the thin crust pizzas, and she absolutely loved it – the crust was perfectly crisp, and it was full of flavour. The staff were superb – really friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The venue itself was spotlessly clean, which we really appreciated, and there’s plenty of parking on-site, so no hassle there. We had such a great experience that we’ll definitely be coming back again and again. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food, a welcoming atmosphere, and excellent service. Thank you for a brilliant visit!
