Definitely not fresh food! Sent the wrong order and tbh rice is dry like it’s been warmed so many times today. Definitely throwing that away!

Best curry goat I’ve had from a restaurant and the lamb patty is amazing taste just like back a yard!!!

I ordered jerk chicken and it tasted like bbq chicken , the plantain was tough and not sweet , my cousin ordered curry goat and it was mostly bones and fat , we paid £1 for 1 dumpling . overall the food is not what we died for and the products used were not up to standard

Oh dear. No wonder the reviews are bad. I ordered two lamb soups (if you could call them that) and they had no taste and only two bony pieces of lamb. I don't believe they have been catering for the Caribbean community for twenty years because they definitely cannot cook. It's an insult to call it Caribbean food because it's as bland as can be and a waste of my money. This is my first and last time ordering from Marjorie's. Take my word for it and go somewhere else.

Ordered through deliveroo. She rang me to tell me that she ran out of some of the food that I had ordered which is no problem and understable as it happens. I was willing to swap my orders for whatever she had in stock at the time and I had asked her what happens now and what do I do as I have already payed. However, for some reason she had an attitude and ended up hanging up the phone on me. I decided to cancel my order through deliveroo because I didn’t feel comfortable having someone who can’t practise basic customer service skills prepare my food. She literally had an attitude for no reason even though I was being understanding with her. She must not like her job or something. I don’t know but I wouldn’t order from her again considering that the other reviews also complain about the lack of decent customer service. Typical.

Woww this meal was amazing rice was spont on and chicken soft juicy and spicy like I asked. There was no goat curry but the suggested chicken curry was great. We ordered the day before and food was sold out, so we thought we try again next day, so can't see reason for bad reviews about the food if selling out. Ohhh thank you for the extra pieces of chicken and the lovely cake appreciate it.

I went to this restaurant to order some Caribbean food and the woman behind the counter straight away had an attitude and became irate with me. I ordered then she said im busy with other orders and went on the phone. I waited around as she purposely avoided me. Ive never been dealt with such an unprofessional and rude person in my life! I would never go again! Nor would i suggest to anyone else to go!

Went to order a meal and after 30secs walked straight back out. The woman is unattentive, miserable and her attitude suggests she doesn't want to be there. Was not helpful when I asked about the meal deal.

I first visited this small Caribbean takeaway restaurant around November 2019, it has the most beautifully flavoured curry goat that I have tasted in a long time, and it goes well with the rice and peas and fried plantain I usually order. Just for a change I now sometimes try the oxtail, this too is seasoned like home cooking and has the little boiled dumplings that I really like. I recently tried the jollof rice as a change from rice and peas and I loved it and have been going back for more. The portion size of the meals are good and so are the prices. I once asked the cook about the ingredients used in the products sold and I was very pleased that there is no MSG ingredients used, only natural herbs and spices for seasoning. The tastes and flavour of the food reflects the cook's consciousness and love of cooking, this is definitely my favourite local takeaway shop!

Treated ourselves to a take away that was one of the worst meals that I have ever had. Curry Mutton that was no curry!! Theres was one piece of meat. Really!! £7.00 no salad or vegetables!! C'mon we have to do better than that. An unhappy customer

Estuvimos en la zona ayer y no habíamos leído previamente todas las críticas anteriores (¡Gran error!). Es seguro decir que NUNCA volveremos a este restaurante. He resumido nuestra experiencia a continuación: 1) Estás obligado a ordenar doblarte y ordenar a través de este pequeño agujero de la ventana como si fuera un cartero. En caso de que el propietario lo haya leído: tienes un buen conocimiento de los sabores que van y tu masa de pastel estaba húmeda pero ahí es donde terminó. Mientras que el rabo de buey y la comida de arroz y guisantes tenían buenas especias y condimentos, NO tenían salsa. Tenía que encontrar un poco de bisto en la parte posterior del armario, ya que estaba completamente seco. Apenas había carne en los huesos y también había muchos huesos fragmentados que se habían incrustado en el arroz. La gran comida parece ser MUCHO arroz extra sin la cantidad correcta de carne o salsa para equilibrarlo. Fue realmente pobre. El macarrón y el queso tenían trozos de cebolla que no se habían cocinado lo suficiente. El pastel de zanahoria que se mencionó anteriormente era encantador y húmedo, pero NO se podía usar glaseado / crema de queso o NADA, lo que es malo para la mayoría de las personas, simplemente no era profesional. No es lo suficientemente bueno en absoluto. Parece que saben cocinar pero la ejecución y la atención al detalle son extremadamente deficientes.

Ordered jollof rice with jerk chicken and was not at all satisfied. there was no jerk chicken- the chicken was really stale and not much chicken on the reheated, dry, odd coloured chicken. the jerk was not authentic at all with a funny tasting sauce (covered over the chicken )which was definitely not a jerk sauce. The jollof rice also wasn't authentic and was salty more than tasty. I'm disappointed with this as I was looking forward to some good food- this was far from it! and a waste of money.

Marjorie's Caribbean Cuisine - Pollo frito de comida horrible que ni siquiera estaba cubierto y que era tan seco y duro, plátano que estaba tan seco que se podía lijar la pared con él y se había comido a la derecha. I placed on order on ubereats, the only nice part of the meal was the fish pattie. The fish in my rice meal was grey and tasted out of date rather than some kind of stew or sauce it was just oil. The salt fish fritter was just embarrassing, it was so oily and stuck to the bag after one bite of this chewy fritter I threw it away this should be removed off the menu. Finally I ordered a red velvet cake which was simply a red cake that was dyed red and also tasted very old and also ended up in the bin. It was a first and last for me from ordering from here.

The food is very disgusting please don't waste your money. As a Caribbean person this food is a disgrace to the delicious Caribbean food we have. Don't waste your time this restaurant should even shut down...Total Rubbish Food

Should have read reviews but I ordered off uber eats. Was vile!! Ordered 3 curry goats medium. One was gone no meat the other two were RED RAW and tough!! Dumpling like a rock... do not order....should be shut down!!! Understand the bowl of rice comment too.... avoid!!!!

Me and my partner and children ordered from here. We got the curried goat meal, curried chicken meal, Jamaican patty and lamb rotti. The food was bang on. It all had really great taste. Defiantly recommend

Me encontré con este sitio y tomó la familia para llevar mientras que durante el día. Curry de cabra que tuve fue excelente y los otros tenían un pollo pollo al curry y barbacoa, que todos decían que era muy bueno.

We read quite a few bad reviews about how they choose to change your order for you without consulting you first if they are out of stuff. We decided to risk it and sent them a message saying if you do not have things we are ordering please call us and let us know. Well they did to tell us they didn't have any pepsi. We ask if we could change it for a coke instead they said yes. and low and behold we recieved two shandi's instead. WE also ordered Marconi & cheese and they were out and forgot to mention this to us as well. Instead they sent us dumplings which were rock hard and tasted disgusting!!! the fish we ordered was extremely spicy. the type of spice that you have to request for. it was extra extra hot with tons of chilli's thrown in it!!! impossible to eat. Took a bit out of it and nearly passed out!!! Fishcake discusting and rock solid. I would recommend you never order from this place as they choose your order for you with no care.

patties,juices and lots of authentic good Jamaican dishes,cooked on site.helpful,happy lady staff. nice homely place ,big selection of juices & drinks, prices very reasonable too. small seating area outside foir smoking and watching the world go by.

Disappointing, I ordered brown stew chicken, this was swapped for curried chicken without calling to ask me if I'd like this as an alternative (I wouldn't). The same thing for the drinks ordered. She took responsibility for this, but no refund offered. Food was average.

Really good home made food as well as the usual patties and the home made Guiness Punch is delicious. Don't ask Marjorie for the recipe though as you aint gonna get it!

Ordered three set meals and the food was fantastic, Real authentic Caribbean food. we ordered Jerk Chicken, BBQ wings, Goat Curry and an array of sides and everything was really tasty. 5 stars will definitely order again. Thanks Marjerie!

The meal which was changed due to lack of what we ordered was mediocre and the stewed chicken seemed to be fried with no gravy. The peas, which we were execting to be kidney beans was cungo peas and were like pebbles. The rice was more like cous cous. Its fair to say that it will be our first and last order with Marjorie's Kitchen. Very Disappointed!!
