Top quality food , the Sundays dinners are amazing and they also do very good burgers. Good choice of beers and great customer service. Dog friendly also.

The most fantastic rarebit I’ve ever eaten- crunchy thick doorstep of sour dough, melting oozing cheese, onion chutney ,sprinkled spring onions and home made beans with a circle of basil infused oil round the plate.- Masterchef watch out. Big pot of tea, attentive staff but not intrusive. Quality food at great prices. Brilliant.

Really enjoy a banging sandwich from Marlas. It's litterly the ultimate sandwich hands down best in the area as well!!

We had been meaning to give ourselves a little Sunday morning tasty treat for months in here and so today - at last - we dropped by and my, what a fantastic little secret this bohemian-style treasure eaterie is! As soon as you enter, the fab stylish vibe hits you. It's so relaxed and friendly in here and we were delighted to see that young families and pets (two darling doggies were present) are also catered for. Staff are wonderful - sincere, kind, helpful, polite, charming... you name it and the food... what can I say - a treat for the tastebuds does not even come close - the flavours, ingredients, fresh produce, quantity and quality is all of the highest order - and the price is right too - not cheap (as you'd expect) but very reasonable considering that the two dishes we had would have been double the price in say a french bistro of comparable quality - and this lovely, cosy, homely little brunch bar would not be out of place in a Parisian setting - it's a total gem and deserves high praise. We certainly are going to return - and real soon! Don't you miss it either - we can heartily recommend the rarebit and fried egg plus the french toast with cinnamon and greek yogurt / fruit - food of the gods, folks! Summary: great food, great team - great atmosphere.

Absolutely amazing place! First time visiting but will definitely return! I had the bacon and maple syrup French toast and it was absolutely delicious!! Service was good, staff were friendly and welcoming. Such a nice little place! Will definitely recommend :)

Gorgeous sarnies made in front of you, lovely combinations- great ingredients and really enjoyed them

This place should be more famous! The bacon sarnies with eggs and halloumi and curry ketchup is delicious - needs loads of napkins as it should be. A bit pricey but properly prepared ingredients (freshly grilled bacon and halloumi until crisp, warm bread very fresh it’s fluffy inside with a crunchy and chewy crust outside, runny eggs, and curry ketchup with flagrant coriander and cumin). Vegan and veggie options always available.

Came here for brunch and had the porridge. The portion size was great and the homemade jam was delicious! Cinnamon was a great add to the porridge too, it tasted delicious! Prices are fair given the portion sizes and the quality of the food. A really cool little space, only thing is that it’s a bit chilly inside now that’s it winter! Can’t wait to come here for lunch next

I have now had the pleasure of visiting this hidden gem lunch spot twice. They make daily a small creative menu of fresh and delicious sandwiches all served on proper artisan bread. I have tried the Chicken Katsu Sanwich and the Halloumi (vege option). They were both delicious but the Chicken Katsu has my top spot. Succulent Roast Chicken just out of the oven with tangy and creamy sauce, crunchy pickled veg and crispy and salty chicken skin.Plus Points:- Vegetarian and Vegan friendly- No Pre cooked or prepared filling- Well filled sandwiches- High Quality Bread- Quaint Feel environment with Lovely seating area up stairs- To eat in or take awayCons: - No disabled access to indoor seating, however has small covered outdoor area- slightly pricier that your average sandwich, but absolutely worth it and will definitely fill you up

My wife and I just chanced upon this absolutely wonderful little cafe in downtown Hull. It’s in a gorgeous covered street called The Paragon Arcade which is full of funky places, themselves all worth a look. But the real find here is Marla’s. The menu is gloriously succinct, beautifully presented and the tastes are simply out of this world!!!!:). As if this wasn’t enough, the two owners, Sam and Sarah, are oh so helpful and lovely. Sit inside or out. A truly heavenly place. Go Marla’s !!!!

Had lunch here with my friend. Both vegan, my friend rang to check vegan options and told there are several. Looks like a small sandwich shop but has seating upstairs. Good choice for vegans, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Good quick service for lunch breaks.

Popped in with my partner today as we have heard such good things. We weren't disappointed! I opted for the roasted tomato soup and it was absolutely delicious. The staff were really friendly and the atmosphere in the upstairs seating area was lovely. We will definitely come back.

Had the most delicious mealtoday with family and friends at Marla's. There is a lovely choice of food catering for all tastes, including vegan options, and all can be served either as a sandwich or salad. The food is all freshly made and full of flavour. Very cosy upstairs which overlooks the arcade. Highly recommend.

Simply amazing! Usually when I see only positive comments I'm a little suspicious, but for once I can wholeheartedly say they are all 100% deserved. Fresh and delicious, well balanced flavours - a true culinary experience.

What a great arcade, first of all. Filled with interesting independent shops. Marla’s looked just right for lunch. Ate upstairs overlooking the arcade.Had the BEST salad I have ever had. Based around honey coated ham (veg/pesto/salad leaves) truly exciting and fresh. Loved it and will be back next Hull visit

Outstanding sandwiches. Tasty, full of flavour. Cosy upstairs with views into the arcade. No chips, nor chip spice.

Cracking little gem of a place. Chilled and relaxed. Warm welcome and quick service. Did not eat this visit but food looked delicious and the smell was amazing. City centre but with a feel of a far away oasis.

This is an excellent little cafe in Paragon arcade. Great coffee and healthy fresh food. Not just ur bog standard cheese and ham sandwich here. Some real interesting flavours. Quality fresh ingedients. Great service too.

Popped in to buy a sandwich for our train journey and they were delicious! Lovely bread crammed full of tasty fillings. A bit messy but napkins were provided. Also tried one of the sausage rolls and a mushroom and olive pasty. All freshly cooked and friendly staff too.

In a charming Victorian arcade we discovered a special place. Coconut porridge with seeds, apple sauce and honey. Imaginative sandwiches and a vegan stew all hit the spot. My partner loved the beef brisket sandwich with various home made chutneys on locally baked bread. The service was very quick and friendly and the decor and atmosphere were lovely.

Love this place, it’s quirky and the staff are lovely, it’s in a beautiful arcade, the decor is fantastic. And the food is delicious. I had a poached chicken salad - the flavours were amazing. Definitely recommend this place.

Cafe with a wow factor in Hull !!

This place is amazing! I'm actually a little addicted now! The upstairs seating area is really cool, decorated and furnished with vintage pieces. The food is brilliant. The sandwiches cannot be described with words just go and try one! Monday's stew kitchen is also not to be missed, warming stew is just right for this time of year! BEST SANDWICH IN HULL!

Great shop - we keep coming back to try the latest creation on the menu! Had the pad Thai inspired tofu sandwich today and it was excellent! Also worth remembering that you can bring your dog along too :)

Really nice new place in town, loved the furniture and how the place had been set up. Good menu with sandwiches and salads, perfect for lunch, and it includes options also for vegans. I had the sandwich with fried tofu and it was delicious, small but really filling. Will come back!

Visited for lunch with friends and enjoyed an excellent hot pulled pork sandwich with pickled fennel, apple jelly and salad in a ciabatta. Absolutely delicious!! The choice of sandwiches(made freshly with various artisan breads) or salads is excellent, hot soup and vegan options are available and a variety of cakes.Taste sensations to try. Cosy seating area upstairs and specialist coffees available opposite at The 2 Gingers. Definitely will be returning to try something different on their menu which I understand changes regularly.
